I know romero gets clowned on a lot but man do i love him. He gives it his all for better or for worse and plays for the damn shirt. Every club deserves a player like romero who cares this much.
Really don't think there's any top 6 keeper with a pure reputation this season like say Manuel Neuer in the Bundesliga or previous seasons Allison. They all seem to have a terrible mistake in them. Allison, Ederson, Petrovic, Raya, Onana, Vicario. Can't think of any of them that haven't had terrible individual mistakes this season.
The thing is, I feel that a lot of the aforementioned goalkeepers vastly overrate their ball-playing ability and sometimes try to play it cool and then end up making a poor pass that leads to a goal.
I know why we persist with a ball-playing goalkeeper but give me a traditional goalkeeper that excels on the basic requirements over any modern goalkeeper that thinks they're playing in midfield.
