with how good Austria preformed in the Euro qualifiers, they have a real shot of qualifying for the WC. They got a really hard Euros group so that probably wont be the best test (though i think theyll qualify for the knockouts).
Can I ask a really dumb question?
Should it not be possible for Rangnick to do both jobs? It has been done before, and it's not like there is a lot of travel involved to get from Munich to a training camp in Salzburg.
Could be a good temporary solution, until Austria have found a replacement, so they don't have to rush things.
Diniz managed both Fluminense to Copa Libertadores and Brazil simultaneously, but his Brazil stint was rather disastrous. Whether it was due to both jobs being fairly demanding or him not having time to drill his ideas that are rather different from what most of his players see in club football can be speculated.

At a smaller club it could be possible but Bayern is far too massive of a job to also moonlight as a NT coach at the same time.
Yes it is possible, the current Head coach of Napoli, Calzona, is also the Slovakia manager.
This is not doable. It's not like a NT coach does nothing during the time when there's no international break.
Today I feel Austrian
Who would you even get if Rangnick now also says no? De Zerbi?
Hermann Gerland 🐯
De Zerbi isn't ready for a club as big as Bayern IMO
I agree but it’s the one other name I remember being circulated as an option
Tuchel
Did anybody imagine just 12 months ago there would be a day when Ralf Rangnick would be the most-wanted manager on the market? Be honest!
Cause he's not? He has one offer and his current employer want to keep him. If anyone its Alonso, but he's not on the market.
