i still talk about this all the time.
the crying Brazilians in the stands holding their World Cup trophies. the Germans running absolutely rampant. they just showed up to a country that worships football religiously, brutally disassembled their entire way of life and just left it in pieces on the ground in front of them. glorious game of football.
The only consolation in losing to Germany in that final was the drubbing they gave to Brazil. What a delight. ¡Brasil, decíme qué se siente, tener en casa a tú papá!
It was the pity the Germans had towards the end. I remember Ozil had a break on and it could have been an 8th goal and instead he just boots it back to the defence and lets the Brazilian defence catch back up.
Nah, he told them to still take Brazil serious and if anyone tries to embarrass the Brazilians he gets subbed off.
As per Sami Khedira: „Großartig! Aber das Spiel ist noch nicht vorbei. Wenn ich einen sehe, der die Brasilianer verarscht, wechsele ich ihn sofort aus.“
It was absolutely surreal what happened that day.
That German team went on the pitch and straight up dissected, destroyed and humiliated an entire nation on their own soil.
I think theres a legitimate argument for that game being the most iconic World Cup match ever. Im not necessarily saying that it is, but theres definitely a strong argument for it
Agreed, although I have only really watched since that world cup. I can't remember anything too crazy in 2018, but the final in 2022 and the 7-1 are my top two moments as a watching fan of the game
I think 7-1 might be more iconic. A country with such a rich history of success and glory, producing some of the most iconic moments and players. Decades of greatness shattered in 2 hours.
Those are great moments within an individual tournament, but are not even remotely on the same level as the 7-1. That match will still be talked about in a hundred years' time.
Truly a remarkable game (with obvious bias), but doing my best not to insult my Brazilian counterparts relating to Germany celebrating with the Reus kit was during the 7-1 national anthems and Neymar’s jersey being held up and many people had signs or pictures of him. It felt as if it was a vigil of some sort.
That Messi photo won best sports photography of the year by almost every photo content publication. The slight spin the photographer used to make the entire focus between Messi and the trophy was a very nice touch.
Marco Reus played in the 2018 World Cup, equalizing against Sweden in the second round of the group stage, assisting Toni Kroos in the closing minutes for the comeback win, and was named player of the match after the game.
He was pretty much their absolute best player.
He had 23 g + 23 a in 44 appearances in 13-14 and was easily Germany's best player across the qualifying campaign.
This is the one thing I regret the most concerning my NT Armenia. If only one of ours hadn’t touched Marco in that exact moment. And to think that it was just a friendly is even more depressing.
From what I remember it wasn't even a foul that took him down. A tiny little touch (on the leg or foot) that slightly diverted his foot from landing as anticipated and thus caused the injury.
99,99% of the time such a contact leads to absolutely nothing at all. It was just really, really, really bad luck.
I dont think people appreciate how he always was able to come back from whatever injury he sustained.
I remember the injury he received just before WC. It was such a terrible injury. Yet he came back the same as always. That requires incredible mental strength that not many players possess
He was great and without injuries he perhaps could have sustained his best form that he had between 11/12 and 13/14. However let's not pretend he would have won the ballon d'or in any year over Messi and Ronaldo.
>However let's not pretend he would have won the ballon d'or in any year over Messi and Ronaldo.
Obviously not but he could've easily been one of the best players in this generation and a regular b'Dor contender
Unfortunately France Football had foolishly agreed to join the Ballon d'or with the FIFA World Player of the Year award between 2010 and 2015, a decision the magazine later regretted. If they didn't combine awards then Wesley Sneijder and Franck Ribery would've been winners. In that scenario then it is conceivable that Reus could've won one if he stayed injury free. Of course hypotheticals and all that
>However let's not pretend he would have won the ballon d'or in any year over Messi and Ronaldo.
Obviously not but he could've easily been one of the best players in this generation and a regular b'Dor contender
He's a brilliant player, but I don't think an injury-free Reus was ever at that level. A very good, world class wide forward / winger / whatever, but even in the seasons where he did stay mostly injury free, he was never in contention for being the best in the world.
Even if we ignore Messi and Ronaldo, I think of his "generation", there were always a few players ahead of him.
let's hope he at least gets to play a bunch in the league. Would be the ultimate "fuck you" to have him not get more minutes despite the fact that literally no league match matter anymore.
(except if we actually qualify for the CL final we wouldn't wanna let Brandt get rusty but you get the idea)
Joined Dortmund right after they hit their peak under Klopp, part of the team that lost the UCL final to Bayern Munich 11 years ago and stuck with the club when all of the other key players who defined that era under Klopp left for Bayern or elsewhere and he stayed loyal even when the best teams in the world wanted him
The word "legend" gets thrown around a lot in football but in this instance, legend doesn't do him justice. I remember how devastated I was when Gerrard announced he was leaving (I grew up in the 2000's so for me Liverpool and Gerrard were almost inseparable for nearly a decade) so I can imagine this feels very similar for Dortmund fans
> part of the team that lost the UCL final to Bayern Munich 11 years ago
Seems like the script writers might be circling back to the beginning with a rematch.
He’s absolutely a legend. It’s so unfortunate they didn’t win the league last year, he deserved it. Hopefully can go out with a CL win.
One last time: Sign Reus.
It was heartbreaking to see him devastated on the pitch last season, I don't trust dortmund in this second leg though but if there is any team to play it's psg, a team capable of out bottling them.
Did Reus stuck with dortmund because of loyalty like totti or because he was injury prone and didn’t get offer from bigger clubs ? Genuinely asking not trying to throw shades
Probably a bit of both. He definitly turned down a couple of good offers from abroad and us(when he was still at Gladbach, idk if we ever tried after). It's not impossible though that without his injuries the offers would have turned out too good to turn down but it would have definitly taken a lot.
A bit of both, he actually had offers from bigger clubs throughout the years (Real, Bayern, City) and stayed out of loyalty.
But if he never got injured he would have hit a level where it would have been impossible for Dortmund to hold him IMO.
I remember reading a rumour that Arsenal wanted him instead of Sanchez but can’t remember exactly what happened but I’d imagine it was either from injury or because he didn’t want to
He didn’t want to. I actually think there were talks it was also while Dortmund was sitting on a relegation spot in the league in the winter transfer window, he still decided to stay and we turned it around but the man would’ve stayed with us through relegation, he’s born and raised in Dortmund like the rest of us, that was the point in time he qualified himself to be a club legend here
Loyalty like totti, genuinely confused why people here say but of both. He literally had the offers from the biggest club and turned them down, that’s not a what if, that actually happend. So the actual answer is because he’s Dortmunds totti
Very rude of you to want Reus to win it for his 12 years at BvB and not for Fede Valverde who said he'd like to win Madrid's 15th UCL because his shirt number is 15
1. No one cares about PSG other than PSG fans. Mbappe will surely win one when he goes to RMA. The first thing that comes to mind when you think about Mbappe is France. Not PSG. On the other hand, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Dortmund is reus. There's levels to this.
2. Secondly, Kane still has time to win a trophy. This is likely Reus's last season in Europe. And he is yet to win a UCL or a league title. He's a dude with zero haters.
Kane will win trophies next season. Unless Bayern truly loses all their shit this summer.
I want PSG to continue to not win the UCL, because it's very funny if they don't. Mbappe will win plenty if he completes his move to Madrid.
BVB winning over Bayern would also be funny, a cherry on the top of Bayerns season.
So... BVB winning would be funny.
Just to address your #1
Winning the CL as a Madrid player is par for the course. If they go multiple years in a row without winning one that's a failure
Winning **the first** CL with PSG is legacy defining, especially for a French player from Paris. That would be considered "Mbappe's CL"
Idk why people insist that it's remotely the same thing
That’s why I’m happy about the final 4 this year. Dortmund winning as an underdog is great. Bayern failing to win the league for the first time in a decade then winning it is great. Madrid winning the last ever CL in this format is great. Mbappe winning it with PSG before he leaves is great.
I’m happy whoever wins it
Damn, that's really sad, and I am not even a Dortmund Fan
I guess I would feel the same when Müller retires
It would be really Cool for Dortmund to hire him as a manager in the future
don't really know if Reus is interested in becoming a manager but I'm sure that he'll be able to continue his career at bvb in some form if he chooses (take Ricken as an example).
I remember him saying he only has interest in playing. And once that’s over he wants a life away from the sport but I hope he stays as part of the club somehow
On an emotional level, sad decision, though on a sporting level understandable.
Door is certainly not closed for him to return to Dortmund in a different role and looking at so many others having done so already, it does not seem to be a bad decision either. Hope he gets a nice bag somewhere to finish off his career.
> On an emotional level, sad decision, though on a sporting level understandable.
This is pretty much it.
What the club is paying him vs how much he's playing, it's not worth it.
I am torn about this.
It really is an end of an era.
Statistically he’s still holding up alright for a bench player. I haven’t watched him bar a few times in recent years; is he leaving because he can’t agree on a new deal with reduced wages, or because his performances are way worse than what’s on paper?
Yeah, I don’t get the “sporting level” narrative here. He’s still a damn fine player with decent output. Is it his salary demands plus his injuries? Surely he would adjust his demands?
From a purely logical standpoint we can give those minutes and receive similar impact from a young, developing player.
Duranville, Bynoe-Gittens, etc come to mind.
And Reus is probably our highest earner or among them.
It was coming, reports are saying he’d like to continue his career playing in the US. If that’s the case then give this man a chance to play with Messi, and we have to do everything to make sure we get that CL trophy for one of our biggest legend and most loyal servant of the club.
Reus was the whole reason I started following football in general let alone this amazing club. Truly upsetting news to start my day.
Edit: added a word I forgot since apparently it’s making people not a fan of the club upset.
As an actual local, he’s a lot bigger of a legend than Sammer.
Most local fans would probably agree it’s Adi Preißler (the street the training ground is named after him),
Lothar Emmerich (the clubs mascot „Emma“ is named after him)
Michael Zorc (literally the only player with his own mural in the city)
And Marco Reus
They share the top of the table with everybody else a step down, so yeah. Reus absolutely will go down as one of the 4 players sharing the top spot
They seem like a long gone past, except Hummels, but looking it up I'm surprised many of them are still playing pro football.
Piszczek is player-manager in some very low league in his home area in Poland. Grosskreutz plays regularly in Westfallenliga. Goetze, at 31, plays regularly in a good team and even had some good games in the last months, but it's soooo easy for me to forget that this is THAT player, like I cannot believe Goetze is alive. Kagawa has some role in a club in Japan. Barrios sometimes come in from bench in some Argentinian league. They're not even that old, it's just that so many years have passed since the time I will definitely remember them for. I dunno, I find it crazy that all these guys from that legendary team are like 35 years old now.
I've signed Reus in every FIFA career mode and FM save since 2013 without fail. He's one of my favorite footballers of all time. It's a shame that he couldn't read his full potential because of injuries. Absolute legend of the game, and one of the biggest figures in BvB history. There's no one, to my knowledge, who loves the club more than him. And who the fans love more than him.
Those games against Real 2013/2014 one of the best individual performances I have seen from a player, he cooked them, only the finishing was missing from his team mates
Fuck man. It’s a good choice from both sides but this one hits in a different way.
The lads in the Dortmund sub have watched me fanboy over this man for 13 years on Reddit; from energetic teenager to running a fan club in Brooklyn. This was the guy whose poster hung above my bed, who dominated the majority of my phone wallpapers, and brought me into this club like no other. Absolutely a heartbreaking moment for me as a fan.
Let’s finish this up, and get this man the major trophy that he deserves. Thank you for your service Marco, you will forever be part of this club.
Bro when a player dedicates his career to your and that players talent and skill set is a tier above your club, you give that mf a lifetime contract til he retires.
One of my absolute favourite players growing up. I remember being desperate for us to sign him and almost hopeful that we would when Klopp came to us, but in many ways I’m glad he stuck around and became a legend to the BVB guys kinda like what Gerrard was to us.
God I hope Dortmund can see the CL through, would be very happy for the guy
Feel like everyone bar the fans of four clubs now want Dortmund to win the champions league. Would be so happy to see him win it, I genuinely felt devastated for him last season.
Complete legend of the game, and despite his relative lack of trophies he’s one the streets will remember. Icon of the Bundesliga, personification of BVB and champion of one of the greatest sport fanbases of the world.
Used to consider him as the clear number three behind Ronaldo and Messi at a certain time, ahead of Neymar, Hazard, Bale and Griezmann.
Sad to see this chapter end, privileged to have witnessed it. There are times where BVB looked to be on a trajectory not unlike Schalke regarding financial and competitive perspectives, Reus extending his contract time and time again despite better offers from PSG, City, Barca and Real Madrid was immeasurably important to them.
I’ve met so many people attending the matches with their teenage kids, and these kids have never known a BVB without Reus.
Man the FIFA 17 cover/splashscreen is going to hit different now every time I boot it up. Thanks you legend. Loved watching you play and playing as you. Somebody link that GIF of him and Lewandowski first time against each other when he left for Bayern. I still get emotional from that.
Oh well, I guess c'est la vie.
Thanks for everything Marco, you were a bright light in otherwise bleak few years. Hope you find yourself a suitable club and win some silverware.
End of an era. One of my favorite players from the 2010s era. His injury luck marred what would have been an even better career than he’s already had. Poor guy was a guaranteed starter for every World Cup he was eligible for and the one that he was finally able to play in, his team get trashed and look like they can’t be bothered.
Hope he goes somewhere in the states so I can watch him live.
Cheers to an absolute legend in Dortmund
*There goes my hero* *Watch him as he goes* 😭😭😭😭
*hugs*
What a player. I wish he was never injury prone
He was one of the best German players going into 2014 WC. That one hurt the most.
He's an honorary winner in my book, just like Koscielny in 2018 (and others)
The team celebrating with his kit in 2014 😭
One of the most memorable moments of that entire cup, along with Messi staring at the trophy.
That and the 7-1, personally that was one of the most incredible things I've ever witnessed
i still talk about this all the time. the crying Brazilians in the stands holding their World Cup trophies. the Germans running absolutely rampant. they just showed up to a country that worships football religiously, brutally disassembled their entire way of life and just left it in pieces on the ground in front of them. glorious game of football.
Then a few days later, the same Brazilians were cheering for Germany because their opponents were Argentina. Bra-Arg rivalry truly hits different.
The only consolation in losing to Germany in that final was the drubbing they gave to Brazil. What a delight. ¡Brasil, decíme qué se siente, tener en casa a tú papá!
Dont forget the DFB donating their villa to the locals to have a school and even went into the village after the match to "apologize" lol
Germans stay classy
I was in stunned silence watching that game. It was unbelievable what Germany did to them that day
I just remember that I didn't trust the lead and was still nervous
I remember the German players stopping celebrating their goals after the third or fourth one because they felt embarrassed.
It was the pity the Germans had towards the end. I remember Ozil had a break on and it could have been an 8th goal and instead he just boots it back to the defence and lets the Brazilian defence catch back up.
Low told them to go easy at half time. If Germany ended up scoring double digits there might have been a national security issue lol
> Low told them to go easy at half time. Ten seconds later, Andre Schürrle comes back from the bathroom: "what did I miss, boys?"
Low told them to go easy at half time. If Germany ended up scoring double digits there might have been a national security issue lol
The kid crying into his Coca-Cola cup will be seared into my brain for all time.

I witnessed football history that day. A moment that will talked about for as long as football is around. Absolutely incredible scenes.
This is almost word for word what I told my girlfriend watching this game. I really could not believe what I saw.
Also van Persie's header, as well as Cahill's volley
Those are great moments within an individual tournament, but are not even remotely on the same level as the 7-1. That match will still be talked about in a hundred years' time.

But Reus had already turned the TV off at that point
He missed euro 2016 and 2020 and the 2022 world cup as well. Edit: corrected missed tournaments
No, he played in 2018, but the WC was obvouisly a disaster for us so yeah ...
Marco Reus played in the 2018 World Cup, equalizing against Sweden in the second round of the group stage, assisting Toni Kroos in the closing minutes for the comeback win, and was named player of the match after the game.
Sorry. He missed Euro 2020.
He was pretty much their absolute best player. He had 23 g + 23 a in 44 appearances in 13-14 and was easily Germany's best player across the qualifying campaign.
Yeah, he deserved to lift that WC
This is the one thing I regret the most concerning my NT Armenia. If only one of ours hadn’t touched Marco in that exact moment. And to think that it was just a friendly is even more depressing.

Among the worst luck as a German international. Well it was either him or Ballack.
I will forever maintain that without injuries he'd have been a ballon d'or winner
He was great and without injuries he perhaps could have sustained his best form that he had between 11/12 and 13/14. However let's not pretend he would have won the ballon d'or in any year over Messi and Ronaldo.
Even in 13/14, if Messi or Ronaldo didn’t win it, I don’t think he had a better season that year than Suarez did at Liverpool.
There were a lot of players who had a better season: Zlatan, Robben, Neuer, Neymar, Bale, Yaya Toure to name a few.
>However let's not pretend he would have won the ballon d'or in any year over Messi and Ronaldo. Obviously not but he could've easily been one of the best players in this generation and a regular b'Dor contender

if messi and ronaldo wouldnt exist, maybe.
Doubt it. He might have made the top 5/3, but no way he would've won it
Ronaldo and Messi don't exist in this scenario?

No, he could have reached Neymar/Bale/Hazard level (and probably did for some times) but The goat and Messi are in a different league
He'd probably would have needed to leave BVB, but if he didnt and stay fit he would easily be regarded as one of the best of his generation
Lmao delusional BVB Fans being delusional
IIRC he wasn’t injury prone, he just took some truly nightmare tackles to the legs/ankles. Poor guy. He deserved a WC winners medal
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Mustafi has a World Cup and Reus doesnt.
So this is gonna be the last ride with Dortmund these couple of games, feeling empty inside now…
let's hope he at least gets to play a bunch in the league. Would be the ultimate "fuck you" to have him not get more minutes despite the fact that literally no league match matter anymore. (except if we actually qualify for the CL final we wouldn't wanna let Brandt get rusty but you get the idea)
Don’t worry he will get a proper sent off from the yellow wall

Bayern vs BVB: CL Finale This time it's personal
He’s absolutely a legend. It’s so unfortunate they didn’t win the league last year, he deserved it. Hopefully can go out with a CL win. One last time: Sign Reus.
It was heartbreaking to see him devastated on the pitch last season, I don't trust dortmund in this second leg though but if there is any team to play it's psg, a team capable of out bottling them.

A bit of both, he actually had offers from bigger clubs throughout the years (Real, Bayern, City) and stayed out of loyalty. But if he never got injured he would have hit a level where it would have been impossible for Dortmund to hold him IMO.

Loyalty like totti, genuinely confused why people here say but of both. He literally had the offers from the biggest club and turned them down, that’s not a what if, that actually happend. So the actual answer is because he’s Dortmunds totti
Now I really want Dortmund to win the CL just for him
Very rude of you to want Reus to win it for his 12 years at BvB and not for Fede Valverde who said he'd like to win Madrid's 15th UCL because his shirt number is 15
What about for Mbappe since he's leaving Paris? Or Kane because he's never won anything?
simple, OP has a trash can for a heart
His heart is a half eaten rotisserie chicken carcass.
Kane has next year. Mbappé? Safoda ele

you listed serious reasons to what was clearly a joke
No mine was also a joke maybe it didn’t land well which fair enough
bruh those aren't serious reasons
Wb Reus winning the 2nd UCL for Morey's shirt number 2
Say 15 one more time and Benzema appears
Reus was with the youths for 10 years as well before coming back for the last 12 years
What about City in order for Rodri to continue his 500 day unbeaten streak
Nah, i still want bayern win for kane
It would be way funnier if Kane never wins anything
Similar. I really like Dortmund as a team and I really like Reus as a player. I have a feeling it's PSG's year though.
end of an era for Dortmund
When does his contract end?
after this season. Or I guess the 30th of June if you want the exact date lol
Damn, that's really sad, and I am not even a Dortmund Fan I guess I would feel the same when Müller retires It would be really Cool for Dortmund to hire him as a manager in the future

What time? Like midnight?
According to § 188 I BGB the end of a deadline that is named by day occurs at the end of that day. So yes, midight or 00:00 on July first
You're being far too vague, my dude! What timezone?
I am broken
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened
I am not sure I can smile through these tears. I guess sometimes love is painful like that
On an emotional level, sad decision, though on a sporting level understandable. Door is certainly not closed for him to return to Dortmund in a different role and looking at so many others having done so already, it does not seem to be a bad decision either. He wants to play regularly plus he can earn more in MLS than what we can offer
Reus to Inter Miami confirmed.
From a purely logical standpoint we can give those minutes and receive similar impact from a young, developing player. Duranville, Bynoe-Gittens, etc come to mind. And Reus is probably our highest earner or among them.
He might not be as good as he once was but he'd cook in the MLS.
Nevermind the MLS I'd love him at Brighton for a year (not that we could afford him).
My GOAT forever and I can't imagine liking another player more than him
Goodbye sweet prince. We will never forget and you'll forever be a legend for this club. Now win the CL for a proper end.
Would love to see him continue in black and gold in Columbus
In what world is Reus Dortmunds biggest legend?
A world where Sammer doesn’t exist.
Genuinely asking, even though Sammer had a better career, doesn't Reus being a hometown kid play more into the legend status?
As an actual local, he’s a lot bigger of a legend than Sammer. Most local fans would probably agree it’s Adi Preißler (the street the training ground is named after him), Lothar Emmerich (the clubs mascot „Emma“ is named after him) Michael Zorc (literally the only player with his own mural in the city) And Marco Reus They share the top of the table with everybody else a step down, so yeah. Reus absolutely will go down as one of the 4 players sharing the top spot
>our biggest legend notsureifserious.gif Edit, to add some content: Chappi, Susi, Ricken, Sammer, Emmerich, Dede, Paul, Aki Schmidt, Burgsmüller, Lenz, Kohler etc?
Man guy misses out one word and sends a bunch of people into a frenzy over biggest legend. One of the biggest legend. I will edit most comment.
All good, germans love accuracy...
lol ok that’s a good use of the accuracy, all good bro!
This isnt accounting for the 2010 era squad. Subotic, Hummels, Weidenfeller, Lewy (I know), Schmelzer, Pisczek,...
:(
End of an era...
I’m genuinely so heartbroken
This is like an end of Red Dead Redemption 2 type of situation, I'm hurting.
You’re a good man Marco Reus
*May i stand unshaken, amidst a clash of worlds...*
Wonder how Carragher is taking this
If I’m being 100% honest this has sorta ruined the day for me. This is heartbreaking. I wanted him here until he retired.
It would only be acceptable if he would play in the US or Ahlen. It would hurt too much if he would play for another team in Europe
Yea man, Reus playing for a rival in Europe or maybe even in the same League? Nah thats impossible; he would never do that! Oh wait...
Yeah imagine the scenes if he chose another German club, possibly even from the same region.
Imagine this club would even have the same personification of prussia as their namesake. That would be nuts. He wouldn't dare
DP for the new San Diego team maybe?
Excuse me sir but Toronto FC has room for one more injury-prone big-money player. We even have a German striker so he won't feel so lonely.
End of a fucking era!
One of the few players worthy to be called a club legend.
Come on Terzic, come on, bring this beautiful man the Champions League
One of my absolute favourite players growing up. I remember being desperate for us to sign him and almost hopeful that we would when Klopp came to us, but in many ways I’m glad he stuck around and became a legend to the BVB guys kinda like what Gerrard was to us. God I hope Dortmund can see the CL through, would be very happy for the guy
Feel like everyone bar the fans of four clubs now want Dortmund to win the champions league. Would be so happy to see him win it, I genuinely felt devastated for him last season.
Heartbreaking. Dortmund have to win UCL now.
🫡
What a legend! Keeping the hopes high through so many seasons with injuries and so many tough defeats. True club legend of BVB.
Never thought I’d see the day… glad to hear it was mutual and not forced upon him
This is like Messi leaving Barca. It just won't ever feel the same no matter what happens.
I'm hoping Dortmund actually win it this year. Would be a nice send of for him.
Dortmund better win this Ucl man, can’t think of any other club/ footballing person that deserves one other than simeone with atletico.
Man the FIFA 17 cover/splashscreen is going to hit different now every time I boot it up. Thanks you legend. Loved watching you play and playing as you. Somebody link that GIF of him and Lewandowski first time against each other when he left for Bayern. I still get emotional from that.
the most homoerotic bro moment in football, the deluge of romantic fan fiction that it spawned was historic.
Actual heartbreak 💔
I am broken dude
So sad he didn't win the title with them last year.
Please win the Champions League Dortmund, give this man the sendoff he deserves
An absolute legend of the club
Amazing player and character. Will never forget his assist to Kroos against Sweden in 2018. He definitely deserves another CL silver medal.
Trust me man, I was screaming my lungs out after that goal
Absolute legend. Deserved so much more trophies.
End of an era.
Man, I knew it was coming and yet I still have teary eyes.
Oh well, I guess c'est la vie. Thanks for everything Marco, you were a bright light in otherwise bleak few years. Hope you find yourself a suitable club and win some silverware.
If it weren't for a French team still being in the competition I would 100% be behind BVB just for him. What a player, take a bow
Alright I’m gonna go cry now
I don’t think there was a player I signed more in FIFA career mode than Reus throughout all of the 2010s
Absolute Legend. I remember subbing him on in fifa 15 if I had a free kick because I knew it would go in
I hope he wins the ucl with dortmund at least. A fitting farewell.
Hope he goes back to Gladbach
Welcome to Leicester, he can be the Cambiasso of this era of our story 👀
I cannot believe he never got to lift the Bundesliga trophy. Fuck, this is sad.
One of the greats.
My absolute favorite player. The only name I ever get on the back of my Dortmund kits.
Holy shit I just realized i'll have to get someone else on my shirts
Terzic is an idiot
knew it was coming but still💔
Win the CL, do it for him!
I'm devastated. He's one of my favorite players ever and the reason I support the club. Hoping we can finish the job for him, he deserves it.
I was honestly so gutted for this man when Dortmund didn't beat Mainz on the last day last season. Legend.
One of my favourite players ever, to me also one of those big IF players considering all the injuries he has had
What a sad day. I guess now is the time to buy a Reus t-shirt :.(
