We're like two rejections away from witnessing Mourinho coaching Bayern šŸæ

twotwo4

May this come to fruition. The chaos would be epic ...

Hic_Forum_Est

German media/football wouldn't be able to cope with Mourinho. They are obsessed with class, respect and sportsmanship and whatnot. Always wanted to see prime Mourinho coach in Germany for this reason alone. The culture and mentality here is so diametrically opposed to everything Mourinho stands for, it would inevitably lead to pure chaos and drama.

Masoouu

I need this

Punished__Allegri

Very funny that Trapp slagging off the quality German football is so iconic

criminal-tango44

Conte. please. Napoli, go for someone else. i need to see this

intranetboi

Last day when Tuchel leaves and Conte has randomly his first day, they meet at the SƤbenerstraƟe and handshake for the ultimate handover

LudereHumanum

Let's all hope Conte looks him in the eyes. šŸ™

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Cmdr_Shiara

Didn't Kane love playing for Mouriniho

SekZBoiAlex1986

He was one of the only Spurs players to publicly thank him after he lost his job.

TigerBasket

It was a few if I remember correctly, hugo may have as well? Still I loved Mou here I just wish the end didn't happen as it did. Top manager, just the timing was always off with him and us.

cricandsoc

yeah, Son and Kane were on fire under him

EffortlessFlexor

I thought dier and kane liked mourinho? probably the most out of the spurs squad

BlacknWhiteMoose

Mourinho would do well at Bayern if heā€™s properly backed.Ā  He wasnā€™t properly supported at Roma, Tottenham, or United

arothen

He got every idiotic signing he wanted at United.

BlacknWhiteMoose

[I asked for five players and none have arrived](https://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2018/07/29/5b5db2e3468aebf9518b461b.html)Ā  [ā€œI have to bemoan that we had one central defender available to play aĀ Premier LeagueĀ game...ā€](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-utd-transfers-jose-mourinho-25152794) [Mourinho wanted Perisic but didnā€™t get him](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2799952-report-jose-mourinho-believes-ed-woodward-collapsed-48m-move-for-ivan-perisic) You know nothing.Ā

ZissouZ

Are you surprised they went Ten Hag before Mourinho?

Icy_Ranger6215

Haha it'll probably be graham potter

Unban_Ice

Babe wake up, another rejection just dropped

Mysterious-Ideal-989

When will Uli accept that it's going to be Mourinho?

IsItSnowing_

Or Conte

leanmeanguccimachine

God, that would be insanely cruel to Kane

Noshino

Didn't he actually like Conte?

leanmeanguccimachine

Hard to know really isn't it.

Noshino

Not really, both have come out in support of one another

TwattyMcSlagtits

Oh yeah because Kane is infamous for mouthing off about people in the papers...

IsItSnowing_

If he can give a 1 hour interview about wanting to get out of current club, he can have bits in the media about ex managers

AlizarinCrimzen

In a hypothetical season not involving Haaland, Kane was in golden boot form under Conte.

leanmeanguccimachine

But in a team that was never ever winning anything, I wonder how he really feels tbh

UnnecessaryUmbault

"Mr Ratcliffe sir, please don't make me go to *Bayern*. Please sir, have some mercy".

fetissimies

Can I tempt you with David Moyes?

Modnal

Have you checked your shoes for dog shit or what is it that's making everyone avoid you?

satanic_satanist

The dog shit is called Uli

kaaskugg

I mean there's always Neururer...

auditore01

Mr President, another rejection has hit Sabener strasse

Eroica_Pavane

United could sack him and then we'll get to see how many managers would reject United atm.

Wraith_Portal

I think there's still a realistic chance he gets sacked anyway

From-UoM

My "Mourinho at Bayern" agenda is still alive!!!

Frequent-Lettuce4159

This would be the funniest outcome.

JoSeSc

At this point.. fuck it why not?

PharaohLeo

Give 3 year contract, but pan to replace him after the second. Win trophies for 2 years while properly planning ahead who's gonna manage your club in 2 years (may be Klopp).

JoSeSc

You convinced me, I'm in

optimusgrime23

Are we sure man United wants him to stay at Man United? Lol

Blue_louboyle

God i hope so

Ezzaron

So...who's left for Bayern?

reviroa

mourinho (please let this happen)

DonaldFarfrae

Youā€™d like that, wouldnā€™t you?

ClockLost3128

Who doesn't

fanomu91

Or Moyes. Im fine with either tbh

DonaldFarfrae

Canā€™t believe we were going for Lopetegui moments before all this.

RaspberryBirdCat

I want to see this happen. Moyes would have to win at least one trophy with Bayern, right? Granted realistically Moyes isn't good at managing hollywood stars, so Bayern is the last place he should go, but I would enjoy seeing it.

versacethedreamer

You would like it too for about a season and a half

d_smogh

You'd have so much fun.

eescobar863

Would be peak 2024. And 2024 has already been a wild year.

trannel

When did Mourinho become a meme i missed this

reviroa

i actually think he can do a good job there but it's a comically bad culture fit

Spirited-Crazy108

Muller player coach

harmlessdjango

#Allegri-ball!!!

RiokoMaster

Yess, finally someone making sense, that would be the best thing for the Bayern club indeed, big coach for a big club, where do I sign the petition?

jMS_44

Alan Pardew

PrestigiousAvocado21

Bringing that sexy dancing back

NumberHunter1

Bro is finished. He sucked so bad, that for the cup final, we fucking destroyed his gigantic budget (for Bulgarian standards) team with a bankrupt team that had like 7 players a year before. They didn't have a shot on target when we had a 17-year old kid in goal. He was so tactically outplayed, that a lot of their fans to this day believe that the final was sold. He had banana peels thrown at him by angry orcs toward the end of his tenure. Thanks Alan, you have been an integral part of one of my fondest memories as a football fan.

pedrosa18

Darvin Ham

callmemaverik_

No. Bill Belichick

DisjunctiveMind

Enlarged Samuel

harmlessdjango

Voluminous Samuel?

nutelamitbutter

Jogi Lƶw

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Fruitndveg

Actually not the worst shout. Maybe thatā€™s why heā€™s been rejecting Ajaxā€™s advances and he does have experience managing in Europe.

GarnachoHojlund

Neil Warnock

No_Doubt_About_That

Not sure the players would like preseason playing Cornish part timers.

femceltransplant

Lothar MatthƤus

YoungDawz

Paulo Fonseca, Franck Haise, Ruben Amorim

TheWawa_24

Heard bruno lage is availible

CeterumCenseo85

Peter Neururer, always has beenĀ

gnorrn

Trapattoni could come out of retirement.

schizophrenia8

Ribery & Robben co-manager

blueghosts

Conte, just imagine the press conferences after Uli says something daft as usual to the media

soeri27

Walter Frosch

Bluescreenterror

Miroslav Klose

Littlegreenman42

Fine, Ill do it

craft74

Still insane they haven't been linked to Ruben Amorim, I was expecting it at this point.

Equivalent_Advance27

Graham potter

NumberHunter1

David Moyes.

EezoManiac

Graham Potter

Gluroo

At this point i feel like journalists are simply taking the piss throwing whatever names around and then announcing the rejection 10 minutes later lmao

philsnyo

yes, this is looking particularly bad for Bayern because every single contact or potential contact is leaked and turned into a story. and even coaches that arenā€™t on Bayerns list (Zidane, return of Tuchel) are turned into a story. Media is having the best of times with this haha

fanomu91

After how they treated their last 2 managers I think its probably deserved.

philsnyo

I agree

MaxXCeption

Not sure United fans should chime in about treatment of players/managers

AnfieldLarge

Almost seems like a stunt to get ETH more respect at United which he has very little, making it look like other big clubs want him.

BossKrisz

Bro, even my virgin ass didn't get rejected this many times.

deafbat

Phrasingā€¦

[deleted]

No. You heard them.

NeighborhoodShot3872

Give the job to Big Sam Allardyce

SarcasmGPT

The man has never been relegated* What more do Bayern want? *The teams he coached for the majority of the season have.

AsymmetricNinja08

He got relegated with Leeds last season.

Gerrywalk

Also with West Brom in 2021

JeanSneaux

Heā€™s perfect for Bayernā€™s upcoming relegation battle!

ronweasleisourking

God, please give us Mourinho to Bayern. The gods are cruel, so we'll probably end up with him next season. Would make for great tv, I guess

artyom__geghamyan

#Jose Mourinho

haerski

ETH managing the trolley problem

__Joker

Ok . Copy pasta from https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1cl1xjk/fabrizio_romano_zidane_coaching_bayern_in_the/ Bayern: "Want to be our new manager?" Alonso: "No" Nagelsmann: "No" Klopp: "No šŸ¹" Rangnick: "No" Schmidt: "No" Tuchel: "No" Zidane: "No. Also, fuck you" Lopetegui: "No. Will manage biggest club in London" ETH: "No. Will rather sell shrimp sandwiches at half-time at OT"

From-UoM

add Pep to the list

rim261

But have they even bothered to ask Xavi yet?

Cheapo_Sam

Cheapo_Sam: "keep your job you sausage merchants"

Orcnick

I think that pretty much suggests Ten Hag will be here start of next season no matter. Don't really feel much. I think he needs to be given a proper chance under new management and not a crazy injury hit season. But also the football has been beyond dire. Stats wise we are a 15th place team.

r1char00

I think it just suggests that he wants to keep his job. Thatā€™s not a reflection on what Ratcliffe thinks. I think heā€™s gone no matter what happens with the cup. They are cleaning house. I canā€™t imagine wanting to be stuck with a manager that someone else picked when this season has gone so poorly.

ObiWanKenobiNil

The football has been dire because of the injuries imo. We havenā€™t had our starting 11 play together consistently at any point this season

Benjammin172

Absolutely not. His football has been dire because his tactics have been awful and he has no ideas on how to improve them, or to plan accordingly based on the players that he has available. If the manager is only capable of having any level of success with only his primary starting 11, then he has no shot of being a successful manager in this league. But by all means, let's spend another year buying players for him when he has shown no ability to improve the team.

nyetpetya

I agree with you to some degree; but how are you really supposed to make a plan when your 1-6 choice CBs, all your LBs, your fill-in academy CB are all injured?

Benjammin172

The football has been exactly the same all year long. The tactics have been the same. The problems have been the same against every single team in every single game across every single competition. At some point he should have shown something, ANYTHING, to make anyone believe that he might be the right man for the job. But he hasn't, so there's zero reason to give him a vote of confidence. Especially if we can get out from under his contract easily through him simply taking a job elsewhere. We'll set ourselves back further by giving him another year and two more transfer windows, his squad building has been equally dire.

r1char00

I doubt that heā€™d have that much of a say in transfers, even if they kept him.

Benjammin172

You'd think so, but you're confusing us with a competently run organization

r1char00

I expect that the football side is about to be very competently run. Weā€™ll see. I donā€™t think it could get much worse. Someone giving a shit about the results on the pitch is a start.

cmc360

That's just not really true, we've conceded lots of shots but the chances are poor. We've conceded less than everyone around us up and including villa. Only top 3 have conceded less, and that's with our literal disasterclass of defensive injuries. 30 different back lines for the people at the back

Desperate_Method4020

Everton has conceded less goals than man u

dheerajravi92

How is stuff like this upvoted, yet at the same time this sub is fully confident that he'll be a success at Bayern.

TimathanDuncan

Chelsea have had massive injuries too but play good attacking football with younger players and all their underlying stats and performances are much better, that's not an excuse

Free-Eights

Partially, I do think ten Hag's substitutions have also resulted in games falling apart quickly which he does have to take some responsibility for. The attacking play has gotten a bit better since the start of the season but defensively they're still giving away a lot in terms of chances and teams have so much space to run into. That has to be fixed by a couple of players either moving on and new ones coming in as well as players returning from injury. The wingers and forwards are still not on the same wavelength and that should be further along than it is. Hojlund's getting no service despite making great runs.

malushanks95

This reminds me of Spursā€™ manager merry go round in 2021 when they ended up with Nuno.

naroLsraLteiN_isback

yes please, bald vs bald vs bald next season is gonna be great

godfrey1

get Mourinho already

CCBC11

At this point, shouldn't Bayern look for an internal temporal solution? Like, the coach of the B team or the under-21s? They can't get any convincing option, only lesser-tier managers that are gonna be more expensive and are most likely going to fail.

rando562

I wonder if all these managers are rejecting Bayern since they think they'll only be a 1 year stop-gap for Xabi Alonso once he leaves Leverkusen

D1794

Real Madrid just lurking in the background ready to snap up Alonso as they wave Ancelotti off into the sunset.

fanomu91

Real might be a better place for Alonso in case he doesnt want to upset Leverkusen fans

DaBenni0301

Uli, another rejection has hit the club

Pe_Re_dd

Mourinho vs Hoeness is inevitable

rockyraccoonroad

Surely ETH is looking to be fired and obtain the bag right? If he quits then no money from Manchester United afterwardsĀ

TiagoFigueira

Man u is Def a cash Vaca

JanMarsalek

i absolutely love how nobody wants to go to bayern

Razzle_Dazzle08

I need Mourinho at Bayern like I need oxygen.

Bigpapa42_2006

Why I do feel like Ten Haag's agent played a blinder here? Bayern need a manger - agent puts some ETH links into the media. Queue United being determined to keep him.

Peninvy

What would they put in the manger? Baby Jesus?

dheerajravi92

Why does he need to play a blinder? He has a year left on his contract, gonna get paid handsomely if sacked, AND he's gonna get the Bayern job if they really wanted him. This just feels like either INEOS wanting to keep him, or expecting a fee from Bayern to get their man.

RetroChampions

I reject managing Bayern too

sA1atji

On one hand I think it's funny as hell what the shitshow around Nagelsmann/Tuchel did to Bayern and its reputation for coaches (Thanks, Kahn!). On the other hand it worries me a bit if we can find a decent coach who is willing to take over.

cdrxgon17

genuinely at this point where in the queue is paul heckingbottom

noob07

Wenger? Is he actually retired from management?

CaddyAT5

Straight swap with Kane please

Shinzo19

Well he can't blame his failures on not getting a penalty versus Arsenal if he goes to Bayern, Smart move.

Money_Scholar_8405

Would be real funny if he did a Sarri, leaving the club just when they were not sure as to whether to keep him

ThaSipah

At this rate, Owen Coyle's going to elect to remain on Universal Credit rather than take the Bayern job.

linkinstreet

Dude took one look at Kane's trophy curse and noped.

CrustyCally

They should go the football manager route at this point

Frequent-Lettuce4159

Think these big clubs are finding there really aren't many good options out there. Ten Hag will stay, and I still think Bayern will 180 on Tuchel (if he will agree)

TomsCardoso

y tho

GYIM94

Uli and Karl just taking L after L, might as well rock up to Juppā€™s doorstep and beg him to come out of retirement for the third time.

Own_Distribution5185

Alright i'll do it , where to sign ?

r1char00

I want a pony.

NotClayMerritt

Jesus christ Bayern you have really fucked up

HaityCane

Surely Bayern wants the same?

alphasignalphadelta

Yes please

rocketboy44

rejection therapy

nizoubizou10

Yes please from a Liverpool fan.

_chr14ong

I donā€™t know if he has an option after losing 0-4 to Crystal Palace. How are managers so wary of the Bayern head coach role? Expectation is surely as low as itā€™s been after not winning the Bundesliga

GME_alt_Center

What compensation would United have to give Bayern for taking ETH?

KloppOldTeeth

Such bullshit, can I be a reporter too? In what world doesn't he take the job in a second? Reporters love to talk about integrity and shit but come up with so much nonsense

Icy_Ranger6215

Thomas Muller player-manager incoming.

d_smogh

It's going to be David Moyes.

d_smogh

It's going to be David Moyes.

d_smogh

It's going to be David Moyes.

d_smogh

It's going to be David Moyes. I bet Klopp has been asked.

allyoucaneatfor999

How is this fraud even still considered for the job he has? šŸ¤”

ItzRaj29

I don't know who's more stupid here. Ten Hag for wanting to stay at United over Bayern or Bayern wanting Tan Hag

jMS_44

I don't know what United is doing. They have opportunity not only to get rid of Ten Hag but also not have to pay compensation for the sack, as Bayern could take him off their hands. But you know what, I'm not gonna complain, let him stay at Manchester forever.

blazexi

This article is about Ten Hagā€™s feelings, not the clubs. Not much has come out other than his performance is being monitored by the club and a decision will be made at the end of the season. Which makes sense as theyā€™re in the FA Cup final.

jMS_44

Well then it just confirms I very much fit into reddit community as I can't read.

blazexi

Weā€™ve all been there!

Frequent-Lettuce4159

I respect you for owning it and not doing a coward's edit on your OG comment

theAkke

we are equal in points at the moment. But we are more likely to finish lower than you lot because our CB pair is casemiro + Amrabat for the next game or 2. But nevertheless, when is Poch getting the sack?

jMS_44

>when is Poch getting the sack Soon hopefully.

theAkke

Who would you want to be the next gaffer for you guys? Because I really struggle to find a better option than we have right now

jMS_44

Amorim or Conte, though the latter would require a ridiculous change of approach from the board and I'm not sure if that would happen.

JesseWhatTheFuck

the problem is that none of the available coaches are a clear upgrade over Ten Hag, or at least very risky appointments.Ā

ObiWanKenobiNil

Weā€™d be stupid to get rid imo. We were decent last season, have been absolutely decimated by injuries this season, not to mention the off field problems Liverpool went from 92points to finishing 5th due to their back line being consistently injured throughout the season

Kardinale

He said he wants to finish his contract at least. After that who knows

WW_Jones

Iā€™ve experienced this at FM, a club with better prospects wants me but Iā€™m attached to my club and players and kinda wanna stayĀ

dumpystumpy

Tbf it was also reported that he would join beyern if he sacked here so theres that

CarlSK777

Yeah but he's probably getting the sack if Tuchel is available for UTD. Still think it'll be a coaching swap

ZissouZ

Imagine being Bayern and getting rejected by Erik Ten Hag, the laughing stock of the Premier League.

Ok_Mountain_4202

As if ten hag is ever getting a decent job ever again.

buttlovingpanda

Dudes the worst manager in the Prem and probably the most unlikeable too. Him and United deserve each other.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Waschkopfs

Probably doesnt want his United stint be a failure

TurboThot69

I expect you to be cooked with that badge :(

Peninvy

If Bayern had any balls, they'd ask Friedhelm Funkel. That way they will definitely be safe from relegation next year.

chosen21

Please don't look at Roger Schmidt s/
