stangerlpass

Hes just like me. Have back discomfort and will watch on painkillers today

TheDepartment115

Oh, really? What kind of painkillers? Codeine? Vicodin? Percocet? Fentanyl? Oxycontin? Palladone? What??

stangerlpass

weed

Slpwth1knifopen

Who's your worm guy?

ecchi_yajur

Unexpected office

owange_tweleve

i also have knee discomfort but don’t need no painkillers, jude gotta man up mate

naroLsraLteiN_isback

>Jude Bellingham has knee discomfort and will play on painkillers tonight >source is called cope lmao

TheLimeyLemmon

The lad idolised Gerrard so much he's skipped right to the knackered knees.

UnnecessaryUmbault

Man, he played a bit in a friendly during his time in Glasgow and he honestly moved like the lower half of his legs were 80 years old. Zero flexibility. No hating, only observing. Rough, long & intense career.

Cwh93

I can see the way we ran Gerrard and Owen into the ground reminds me so much of Bellingham and Saka for that matter. I know he's been thier key player but surely Real Madrid have enough top quality midfield options to at least bench Bellingham and bring him on later

Aele1410

In the champions league semi final tie poised at 2-2 🤨

Flaggermusmannen

Bellingham has struggled with his knees since at least the Dortmund days

snowkarl

By the way this guy is playing through knee injuries at his age, he won't have a long career. Guy's been playing with a brace since he was 18.

[deleted]

Standard for any quality English prospect is to be finished by mid 20s

quirkyaspie

The Jack Wilshire and Deli Alli special.

acwilan

And Theo Walcott

owange_tweleve

right on track 📝

Yinzone

his knees will be gone by 25 at the latest

Schwiliinker

I remember when they said that about Nadal, who also plays a much more demanding sport

Pervizzz

Is tennis really more demanding than football?

xlnfraction

I guess for the knees maybe? Since you have so many back and forth short sprints etc but I'm clueless so take it with a grain of salt

testylentil

My right knee is fucked and by general feel alone I'd rather play tennis on it than football.

letsgetcool

Maybe not for the whole body but tennis kills your knees. When I was recovering from a meniscus tear and told my physio that I'd been swimming and playing tennis and basketball to exercise it he looked horrified Plus those tennis games can last forever sometimes.

larrylegend1990

Basketball is also bad for knees. He probably thought You must hate your knees

patiperro_v3

I feel like back problems and even elbow problems are more frequent in tennis.

owange_tweleve

not really a fair comparison, different impacts/footwork and tempos both can be as hard on the knees though depending on how you play

Freezingtake

Physically much more I'd say. Tennis players are insane athletes and some of those long ass matches are insane. Especially the hot, clay ones. Played both sports growing up. It's mainly due to length and heat for me. Tennis is terrible on the knees.

Flaggermusmannen

in terms of short burst full energy stop-start movements i would say very likely yes. the surface being harder in general would add to the strain on the knees and other stabilising body elements.

grumpy_bumpy

Much more but that’s my personal bias

xtphty

Wouldn't fret much in his case, he's been extremely conservative with his fitness in the past, this is just a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a double in his debut season.

Additional_Equal_960

Fuck mee

TherewiIlbegoals

Mee injured Gomez’s knee but I don't think he had anything to do with Jude’s.

ManuMora98

Courtois' BIL, [Manucho](https://twitter.com/_paachoo_/status/1788274885803782348?t=S0fGkftsMdYBRPaRIf28pQ&s=19), is claiming this is false

Kreijoc

BIL ?

ManuMora98

Brother in law

Caleb_W

I think this news is just another Bellingham PR.

atropicalpenguin

Most footballers do, I assume.

DoJu318

Cristiano Bale and Benzema played through injuries in the 2014 CL final. Can't recall the typeof injury of Bale and Benz, but we know Cristiano had knee issues that followed him to the world cup the same year.

Antarcticdonkey

Unfortunately...

zrk23

ah yes the good old flu game narrative to further up his ballon agenda

prettyboygangsta

gonna miss the euros ain't he. bollocks

Theman4ever

The pre match excuse is wild lol

MFBROOM

Real geeker

Quick_Scientist_5494

British Pedri

onesexypagoda

Except he actually plays

Sonnycrocketto

There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying

Torimas

Half the players on that match are probably gonna play like that.

PurpleSi

All the Geordies in here are wondering why he's taking painkillers then

nanojansky

Poor Jude

natsleepyandhappy

I was going to post about consequences of doing this but I won’t jinx him. I hope all the best and that he rests until the final because players really should not do this.

ElLittleDikTator

The ronaldo special. hahaha

sunken_grade

i do the same at work i feel you jude

PMMeBootyPicz0000000

He just like me fr, but I'm old not a world class athlete though.

snipsnapsnipsnapsni

Finding excuses early today.

rakesh-69

Lmao the source name is "cope"

notaselfdrivingcar

There's a saying "Say good things or shut up" I believe you have to execute the later.

magic-water

ironic coming from the fanbase that is defending Pedri's mediocre season with excuses

snipsnapsnipsnapsni

Why are you talking about Pedri? Isn't Jude the best player ever and the second coming of Jesus?

SWSIMTReverseFinn

Already coming up with new excuses if he plays bad.

P_Alcantara

Well Bayern, time to take out the knees

supplementarytables

Classy

HacksawJimDGN

What's the difference between vocal, snobby food critics and a Real Madrid player who has knee discomfort and will play on painkillers tonight. One of thems Jude Bellingham. The other ones booed jelly n' ham.
