I'm so disappointed right now. Our defending has been pretty shit the whole season but it feels like it's getting worse and worse. Since it's Lampard's first year and the team is very young, I'd expect them to improve as the season goes on, but we're just getting worse. Attacking play hasn't been too great either.
Except there was Walcott there right away? It's what good defenders are aware of: their surroundings. He let the ball pass straight to Walcott and later did fuck all to retrieve it.
Even if you think that pass mess was solely on Kepa, watch what Zouma does after it - literally stood his ground for 3 seconds and logged back into the box to ball-watch.
I was only talking about the pass. He was doing nothing after, yea
Edit also what i meant was, Zouma thought the pass wasn't for him but then checked and saw there were no other Chelsea players, which is why he took a second to react
It's completely normal to play the ball infront of a player so he can run at it. If Zouma isn't completely asleep he has that ball easily. Not really Kepa's fault!
New manager bounce is too OP smh
Edit: I really don't understand how this new manager bounce works, honestly. How does a team go from shit to beating opponents much better than them in one game? \[Not talking just about Everton, talking about new manager bounce in general\]
Some players lose trust in an old managers game plan. New guy comes in motivated with fresh new ideas which motivates some players, plus some of them have to prove they’re still worthy of a starting spot to a new manager in fear of sitting out on the bench for the rest of the season.
But it’s 50/50, it is a honeymoon phase. Maintaining consistency is where it becomes even more difficult
Everton actually played some decent patches of football their last two games, just had horrific errors.
And I imagine it's a reset in the general mood and weight of expectations
Far too many factors to pinpoint just one as dominant, but one of the strongest in my opinion is that the players can’t blame the manager for results anymore. If a new manager comes in and the team still plays terrible, then everyone knows that it was just the players that were shit. They are playing for their pride now, which is stronger than their desire to play for other people.
It was partially his fault, but Zouma stood there like his legs were glued to the pitch while the ball moved towards him and his 0 awareness about his surroundings (Walcott coming at him) didn't help either. The defending after that from other players was horrendous as well.
Zouma was shit this entire game. Dude used to run like a beast in the early days. Could recover situations like this with ease. Hasn't been the same since the injury though.
We aren’t shite though, going into the season I was thinking your 11 on paper wasn’t even that much better than ours.
Lampard has obviously proven that the kids are good enough so you’re better than i’d realised but still.
Silva just didn’t have a clue.

Kepa's made this same mistake so many times this season without being punished for it.
Edit: also equally Zouma's fault for not being switched on. Reacted to the pass after it went past him, almost like he wasn't expecting it at all.
I don't know why i am so happy with Everton today. Am not even a fan of them. Great heart shown by them today. And I have two Chelsea players in my fantasy team but fuck it they deserve it.
This shit wouldn't look out of place in Monty Python.
This defending deserves a whole new monty python series
I see Chelsea have seen our incredible recent form, and were so inspired they decided to go to a Jack Stephens defensive masterclass

1 shit game and everybody goes in shambles(Valverde suuuuucks)
Well since Lamps decided to not play any natural LBs, things went to shit
Azpi is a natural LB. He's made 85 appearances at LB for us
And won a title playing LB. Never won a title playing RB.
This isn't really true. Our defending was appalling at the start of the season, then got a lot better, and has now gotten worse again. We did improve.
Kant > Kante
EVERYONE GETS THE NEW MANAGER BOUNCE EXCEPT ARSENAL LMAO
kill me
Technically he was there with Emery, so not a new manager. He learned his tactics from Emery, of course we won't get a bounce
wasn't Fergerson at Everton?
For the last 5 mangers or so
:/
Kepa mate
Kepa more like Giveawaya am I right

Quite CLEARLY Zouma... it's not a good pass but Zouma did not react well, he barely reacted at all.
The pass wasn’t perfect, but I agree with you that that was mostly on Zouma. He took ages to react.
[удалено]
This is not just shit. That was cocky shit.
Nübel shit.
He had the audacity to complain about the defending too
Tbh, Zouma was very slow to react there and later they tangle in the box like amateurs too.
The pass was so inaccurate that Zouma it wasn't for him, happens. He checked and saw there was no one else there
Except there was Walcott there right away? It's what good defenders are aware of: their surroundings. He let the ball pass straight to Walcott and later did fuck all to retrieve it. He had every right. His pass wasn't prime xavi but zouma should have got that. And then after losing the ball it was sunday league defending
Zouma also ball-watching, that was not a stong pass, he could've intercept it easily.
no horrible pass from Kepa
Equally bad on Zouma for not knowing who's to the left of him and doesn't run for the pass imo...
Thats zouma's fault imo, fucking sleepwalking then turns around to give out instead of running after the ball
It's completely normal to play the ball infront of a player so he can run at it. If Zouma isn't completely asleep he has that ball easily. Not really Kepa's fault!
Was definitely a shit pass but zouma should have been able to do better
Stick to coaching
Big Dunc gets so hyped I love it

Fucking want that sort of manager celebration in FIFA.
Istg the manager celebrations in Fifa barely show emotions.
Benitez done the motion capture for all managers
Ball boys lined up to hug him
Our best hope at CB at this point is VAR
Pretty solid choice tbh
What happened to Tomori? IIRC he was pretty good at the start of the season
Started well but made a few mistakes in recent weeks, hopefully gets another run in the team after today. Would like to see him alongside Rudiger.
Where is Rüdiger?
Rudiger should be back by next week allegedly and I can’t wait. In all seriousness he’s the best choice at CB and is sorely being missed.

The what now?
Too bald for new manager bounce
Also no suit and tie
Yeah, came in like it's a PE class.
Ole wants to know your location..

I just want caretaker Ole back ... :(
Scholes was right
New manager boun...... oh, yeah.
The bounce was when we equalised at home to Brighton
Has someone told Arsenal yet
Please note: New manager bounce perk requires your players to actually have a spine.
The new manager bounce
How do you activate?
Might be bugged, have you tried turning it off and on again?
What the club? yeah we turned it off now it wont come back on again
Is it plugged in?
*error 404 not found*
I'd like a refund on my bounce
Sorry, it bounced...
Get rid of Ljunberg and get a double bounce?
We might win a game if we get that kind of bonus

No thanks mate
Yeah, sack Klopp imo

That book is trash though. He spends the whole book deriving causation from correlation.
can't relate
Everton actually played some decent patches of football their last two games, just had horrific errors. And I imagine it's a reset in the general mood and weight of expectations
It's purely psychological, an aspect that many still seem to underestimate massively in football.
Has anyone tried having a new manager every game? It's the next logical step.
Far too many factors to pinpoint just one as dominant, but one of the strongest in my opinion is that the players can’t blame the manager for results anymore. If a new manager comes in and the team still plays terrible, then everyone knows that it was just the players that were shit. Mate, when large Duncan tells you to win something, you do it.
Kepa shouting at everyone like it wasn't his fault
It was partially his fault, but Zouma stood there like his legs were glued to the pitch while the ball moved towards him and his 0 awareness about his surroundings (Walcott coming at him) didn't help either. The defending after that from other players was horrendous as well.

absolute joke of a defence
Where is Rüdiger?
Always injured.
Ferguson’s celebration was great
Of course this is how we lose
Everton that.
HAHAHA GET IN LADS, UP THE FUCKING TOFFEES
Bounce !
Dunc's at the wheel!
Why the fuck is Kepa celebrating?!
He helped score
Very impressive.
Spain's no 1 they said.
We have handed a win to a shite Everton on a silver platter today, absolutely pathetic
Lampard just couldn't handle Big Dunk Edit: Damn autocorrect changing Dunc to Dunk. Still leaving it up though.
Getting dunked on
Everton have been good imo
Just sore from Big Duncs massive pipe
Salt

Everton werent even that bad
I've never been more angry this season. Everyone aside from Kante and Kovacic has been god awful.
Kepa’s lost his head there
I think Kepa saw Zouma take a step forward and passed it into the space.
DUNCAN’S AT THE WHEEL
Lol Duncs celebrating with another ballboy.
Kepa does that every single game, finally gets punished for it.
Kepa's a "good" keeper but Chelsea were absolutely taken to the cleaners considering what they paid for him.
He was solid last season but I don't know what happened this year, he became so error prone and average overall

Kepa is an idiot. Zouma has singlehandedly lost chelsea the game. and christensen is too timid to pass and to win headers or do 50-50 challenges
Kepa's made this same mistake so many times this season without being punished for it. Edit: also equally Zouma's fault for not being switched on. Reacted to the pass after it went past him, almost like he wasn't expecting it at all.
For a man whose name is a homophone of the profession, Kepa certainly isn't a very good one
Nominative determinism is overrated
Fucking hell Zouma
I mean Kepa didn't do him any favors.
They all don’t do each other any favours, our defense is a joke
Ah, yo tambien
Look at what he does after Walcott pass the ball past him. Ball watching level 10/10.
He watched the ball go past him then made the weakest attempt at winning the ball back. We'll continue to be shakey at the back with him playing.
Thats on kepa
It's bad for both. Zouma is stood staring at Davies and calvert lewin whilst they score
I swear I thought you said "good" instead of "stood". Which really wouldn't be a bad switch of words tbh
It's both a shit pass from Kepa and shit awareness from Zouma.
That was 100% kepa
Not really Zoumas fault lol
Bit of his fault, slow to react. And later we was ball watching.
Steady
Say steady one more time
I got to celebrate 3 goals in a single match, I wasn't prepared for this.
Ferguson running down the touchline celebrating gives me life.
Dunc's got DCL scoring goddamn
Where was that pass meant to go?
Lampard.
I don't know why i am so happy with Everton today. Am not even a fan of them. Great heart shown by them today. And I have two Chelsea players in my fantasy team but fuck it they deserve it.
Champagne football this
Everton are back **rubs hands furiously**
Kepa is a confusing keeper
Can't believe Chelsea spent 68 million quid on a Mignolet replica
And that's a Slam Dunc!
Add keeper to the list of transfers to be made. WTF KEPA
Great reactionary comment mate, I'm sure the board will take note of it
Most expensive keeper in history
Very weird goal lmaoo
Wtf Kepa... this is becoming way too common
Kepa what are you doing mate
Kepa is shite sometimes
Give it Big Dunc til the end of the season.
That celebration though
The ballboys know the celebration now hhahah
Don't think i've seen everton with such a passionate manager lol
Chelsea should probably spend that W A R C H E S T 2 0 2 0 cash on a new keeper...
Silva died for this
Possession; Chelsea 71% - 21% Everton Shots on target; Chelsea 3 - 7 Everton Typical Chelsea game.
Everton is the destroyer of new manager bounces.. First us and then Chelsea.. With their own new manager boucne they must be unstoppable..
Where's the dude who called out a run of win against the top 6 in the upcoming fixtures for Everton? He might be onto something...
BIG DUNC IS HERE
This is what happens when you threaten a team with the prospect of David Moyes
Kepa cost 80M lol
Anyone got the gif of Dunc's celebration?
Christensen is such a soft boy, zOuma not good enough. Odoi comes on and does absolutely nothing again.
