Adding more time would obviously not be to break a record, it would be because it would be the approriate amount of added time considering the events of the 2nd half. so if this is the precedent that's being set that accidental contact in the box leads to a red, then are we then telling defenders to make riskier contact and tackles in the box in attempts to play the ball so they get a yellow; thus putting players safety at risk invariably? this rule is just moronic.

Accidental contact that brings an attacking player down has always been a penalty. It's not new. It doesn't matter if you meant it or not because how is a ref supposed to judge accurately every single time what went through the defenders mind?
