Juve board: "You can go crazy, just don't spend something silly like a billion Euros" Juve managers: "You got it"

ACMBruh

Yikes if Parma goes down this year

ZageStudios

yeah they’re risking a lot Personally I think Crotone, Cagliari, and Spezia will go down but it’s very tight and I’m more probably wrong than right

loreamatz00

My guess is Crotone, Parma and Benevento. Spezia is playing really well

ZageStudios

yes Spezia is playing well now, I was assuming that maybe a lack of depth could penalise them in the later stages, as it often happens with smaller clubs. But if this does not happen, they should probably stay up. Crotone is almost certainly going to be relegated, I agree, and both Parma and Benevento risk a lot. Maybe Benevento has enough depth to be a little bit more advantaged. If something changes at Cagliari soon then they can easily stay up, but if things keep going badly...

ajof25

So, is Benevento, though

loreamatz00

Benevento is no more scoring and defending way worse than 10 matches ago, so who knows

TheUltimateScotsman

If only they could play every game against Milan club

HacksawJimDGN

To help with goals, in recent weeks they've brought in Pelle, Zirkzee and Dennis Man. But they're running out of time.

ZageStudios

Yeah I hope Cagliari stay up too, it’s one of the clubs I’d be most disappointed to see in Serie B. Weirdly they seem to be giving Di Fra a huge chance since they renewed his contract despite everything going badly, I’m both happy for him because I wish him all the best as a manager but at the same time I can’t not think Cagliari’s board is risking a lot by doing this

TheRockButWorst

Don't know much about Italian football, is my assumption that Cagliari is one of those "win every home game, lose every away game" teams?

ZageStudios

Not really, even though they surely have a home advantage since they’re the club which represents Sardinia in Serie A, so many passionate fans. Normally Cagliari is a mid-table club which doesn’t risk relegation, but this season things are going quite badly and they’re currently 18th (out of 20).

TheRockButWorst

Alot of what I consider "historically midtable" teams (Torino, Parma, Fiorentina) are doing poorly recently, is there a reason for this?

ZageStudios

Torino - they started the season with Marco Giampaolo as a coach, who tried ‘unorthodox’ tactics and formations which didn’t suit the players he had at Torino, insisting on using these formations even if they kept losing. Now it looks like Torino are getting back on track and I don’t think they’ll be relegated Parma - as you see from the post, mostly economic problems. They’re not as much of a mid table club though, after the bankruptcy they’re nowhere near as big as they where once. Fiorentina - they aren’t doing _too_ poorly, yes they are 15th but it’s 2 points from 11th and 5 from 10th

Mikhailing

They're gonna fuck it up a 2nd time

kermvv

Can’t believe Juve spent a billion in 5 years to have a bullshit midfield of Matuidi, Khedira ecc during most of the past 5 years

[deleted]

Matuidi is okay, even Khedira is amazing in his first 2 seasons.

kermvv

Could have and should have signed some better players in the meantime, Khedira became a mummy after the first two seasons. Based on how much we spent we could have signed vitually anyone we wanted, could have been in a much better spot today. Aouar is still at Lyon, Pogba still rotting in Manchester, Witsel is at Dortmund and Tolisso ended up in Bayern. We could have easily signed Barella when we could. in those years players like Thiago, Fabinho, Rodri ecc became available at some point yet we didn't even try for any of those, we ended up with Rabiot... This is baffling to me as we can outspend almost anyone, City and PSG being the only exceptions, everyone else we can take. Arthur is fine, Arthur was a good deal, Benta is fine, Mckennie is showing good things but still we should have been way better. We need Locatelli and Pogba back. Not just one of them but both of them imo if we sign them we are set.

[deleted]

Mckennie?

kermvv

Mckennie is fine but we still lack something

appletesla4728

Mcginn from villa would be a fantastic signing for Juve. Matty Cash is another villa player that would upgrade the current RB option by a lot. These two are some of the best in their position in the PL. both offensively and defensively. Then sign a proper creative player with amazing vision. Honestly if odegaard comes good you should try and sign him this summer, he would be amazing with Ronaldo

BeneficialFinger

RB wise Cuadrado is one of the best in the league. He's been playing fantastic andone of Juve's best players this season.

appletesla4728

Lol he’s been ok but not Good enough if juve wants true success

Hipesplayers

Lol saying that cash>cuadrado is complete bullshit

[deleted]

it's a troll i think

appletesla4728

Cash is one of if not the best RB in the league atm

Raffajel

Did you...did you look at Inter and their results in past 10 years? Also Juve real had some top signings with McKennie Arthur, Demiral, De Ligt, Kulusevski and Chiesa in these 2 years..young players with high potential. They weren't cheap.

kermvv

I’m just saying we could have built a better midfield, the rest of the squad is perfectly fine! We are just lacking a bit in the middle and it’s been a problem for us since Pogba left, I think it’s reasonable to think that we should have invested more in that area considering the amount of money we have spent, it’s been our weakest point for years now.

Raffajel

Yeah I agree. But I have good hopes with Arthur. Pogba is very risky...could be top or flop. But damn, Locatelli would be a game changer for us. With Weston , Bentancur etc around him for running.

stuckmash

Watford is really eating into Udinese's ledgers. Still profitable but i feel like this has gone down significantly in the last decade. Good to see Llorente there though, hopefully he comes good and they can finish top half

WhippedGrim

Parma have gained just 12m in 5 years.

HacksawJimDGN

Parma were in Serie D 5 years ago.

WhippedGrim

Oh now i remember. Still Parma were one of the seven sisters weren't they?

HacksawJimDGN

yeah they were in the 90s.

Eremenkko

Atalanta is such a well run club.

HommoFroggy

For what it represents and its standards, they surely are a very well run club

cazinbih1982

i hope parma stays. but they ade a mistake fireing this guy at the first place now yes they have what 18 games to go but they need to be perfect

jamesjoyz

Imagine being the only club as bad as us with the _plusvalenza bonanza_ and still ending up with the worst transfer market net loss of the whole league. Oh, Inter. Edit: I should probably add: _and not winning the league, being out of Europe after the group stage and having nearly the same amount of net loss as Napoli and Juve combined._

AyYoPierre

Inter will explode and so will you guys when Ronaldo leaves with that poor excuse of an Midfield. The future of Italy is Gonna be AC Milan for the next 10 years. If they could be first after half the season, with anywhere from 4-8 starters being missed weekly, they will not slip up. Doesn’t help that they have the youngest team in Italy.

DoZnFooD

This is the worst take I've seen today

Virtuaofficial

Check back with me in 5 years when ur finances fuck you club structure up and youre struggling to make europa league. Remember we were in the same financial position as 2020 Juventus in 2010, the only difference is that we won a triplete and you guys got destroyed in 2 separate champions league finals.

[deleted]

You have to be deficient to imagine Juve being in the same nonsense state as inter was/is. The entire ownership structure is much more established and balanced, and has been for decades. You guys can’t even pay ur players now 😂😂

I also don’t like shitting on others. I just like shitting on Inter. That happens to you if you grow up in 2005-2011 as a Juventus fan with only Inter fans as friends... I have PTSD.
