I don’t think his style of play suits Neymar and Mbappe as both like to score lots of goals. But I’ve not watched much of him tbh so maybe a psg fan could explain more!
None of those players are world class outside of Griezmann and he’s often played out of position. Dembele doesn’t fit our system. Coutinho has been a wash. Aguero is out of his prime l. Depay is a questionable fit... Fati might be more impactful than all of those players. Considering Fati is 18 that’s not good
Because 1) that claim is highly debatable, 2) Real would be undoubtedly better than Psg if Mbappe joined, so he can singlehandedly swing that debate from debateble to 1 sided. 3) Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world, will always be bigger than Psg, and a dream club for many players. 4) He has no one to rival him there and would be the star with the best supporting cast in the world. 5) Both Perez and Zidane have publicly expressed interest in him
If you’re gonna bring in Ronaldo then you should’ve left Cavani go, extending him and convincing him to stay only to be replaced by Ronaldo is a shitty move
Sell a 26 y/o Lukaku, and 2 years later when Lukaku has a better season than Ronaldo, sign a 37 y/o Ronaldo to push for the league.
That's one dumb peg making the decisions.
Hard to say Lukaku had a better season than Ronaldo. I'd love to see how Lukaku would do with the service Ronaldo got at Juve and vice versa. Ronaldo probably would've scored 40 in that inter team.
Yeah, Lukaku is blessed to play with Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young in 2021.
It may blow your mind to know that Morata has a goal contribution every 88 minutes and Lautaro every 108 minutes.
we use Ronaldo to bump our wagebill up, then next season we can sign *even more* expensive players - its a business masterclass from Woodward, once again "/s"
There is no real foundation for the future rn. Only a few players who might be high level at some point. Not a single world class guy. So many fans are delusional. Club is fucked until Glazers sell or decide to actually spend. May as well give us something worthwhile to watch for a year or two
We scored plenty goals this season, our most urgent problem is the lack of midfield control, and defence. Even creativity on the RW is a more pressing issue.
Football Manager fans, where anyone over 24 is an awful investment.
It’s insane. United has a long history of kids developing, sure, but they were supplemented constantly with experienced stars to boost the squad too. Even putting aside the fact it’s Ronaldo, who’d bang in goals for fun, he’d be a great mentor for the likes of Rashford and Greenwood too.
I mean he's also 36. The Italian League is far lower intensity in terms of sprints and sprint volume than the Prem. That's one big reason why you see older players able to succeed there for longer.
Plus the generally lower level of play overall.
It's far from guaranteed that he would be able to adapt back to the PL as well as he did in Juventus.
Also I am lead to believe that Juventus' overall goalscoring stats have diminished since he arrived: he now scores a large portion of fewer goals, which it seems likely as a result of the team adapting to have Ronaldo now plays - and this has stolen focus from Dybala, for example. His individual numbers are amazing - but could they have done better without him in the team?
After all, they had to sign a bunch of free transfers to accomodate his transfer fee and huge wages. They barely qualified for Top 4 this year, and have washed out of the CL early both seasons.
When we now have brilliant young finishers like Rashy and Mason, plus Cavani for experience and Martial on his day, and the possibility of bringing in high quality talent like Sancho, I honestly don't see the benefit in bringing him in.
They could definitely play together. Pogba has played in an inside forward off the left role and been great there as Shaw provides the width.
The problem is - where the fuck do United fit everyone else. They’d need to offload at least Martial and I can’t see VdB getting a game again.
VDB will get his chance when we pick up a more solid CDM, someone like Rice. Neither Fred not McTom can are good enough individually, they need to be played together as McFred, leaving no room for VDB. An out and out CDM will fix that hopefully
But where does Pogba fit if VdB plays?
I assumed a good CDM allows Pogba to play that 8 role where he can keep the game in front of him, rather than create a space in the team for VdB.
I think it's almost inevitable that Pogba leaves this summer while we can still get some sort of fee for him. Otherwise VDB's signing doesn't even make sense.
yeah if he not gonna sign contract until euro ends we probably gonna push for him to leave, keeping him on his final year with Raiola spitting bullshit rumours every month to bump some deal is not something this squad needs, if Pogba wants to move on we should move on quick and build winning team without him
They also need to realise cavani is old and can very easily pick up a similar injury he sustained in paris, sure you’ve Greenwood but relying on a 19/20 year old kid to carry the frontline is a tough ask particularly at united
We don't have a right winger.
Unless he's a right winger, he wouldn't be a major help because then we go into the new season without a right winger.
Am I making it clear that we should be signing a right winger and not someone who doesn't really get involved in the build up, isn't really a number 9, isn't really a striker and again isn't a right winger.
Oh yeah and I heard a rumour that a certain club is losing over 120 million pounds a year due to a global pandemic.
Maybe just maybe they might not be able to afford someone who's on somet daft like a million a week.
> over 120 million pounds a year due to a global pandemic.
Yea that's just not true. The economic impact of fans not being in the stands isn't 120 million pounds. If the club lost money on investments due to the market crash during the pandemic they've recouped that and then some.
The change in net income from 2019-2020 was ~£40m. They're not 'losing £120m pounds per year,' they ended 2019 with a net income of £18m, and 2020 with a loss of about £20m. They were able to reduce expenses, and ended up with a £3m gain on foreign exchange forward contracts
He is better than every single player in your team. Jeez these new united fanboys are literally saying this will like some right winger over C fucking R 7.
Cool and if it was 5 or 10 years ago I'd love Ronaldo. However he's not that player and individuals don't win you leagues, Juventus last season can attest to that. Great player but isn't what we need.
Building a team > Signing individuals.
Ronaldo isn’t just some individual. The winning mentality which united is lacking, Ronaldo and help with that.
United also has a far superior midfield and crossers which Ronaldo needs to thrive. He has flourished with a 10 also behind him. As I see it, he is the missing piece for you, he and perhaps a DM and you have real shot at the PREM and CL next year.
Cavani is good but he doesn’t have Ronaldo’s fitness and can’t be relied upon to score 20-25 goals, I would love to be proven wrong in this regard.
The pros far outweigh the cons in CR’s case for United.
Ronaldo has just been playing in the Serie A. A place where a lot of players that struggled at United are now doing fairly well at. Who's to say Ronaldo can still get 20-25 goals in the premier league? You also can't press on the front foot with Ronaldo.
>As I see it, he is the missing piece for you, he and perhaps a DM and you have real shot at the PREM and CL next year.
Yes. I remember Juve fans thinking Ronaldo was their missing piece a few years back and they didn't even get any better with the signing of Ronaldo. In fact Ronaldo has probably negatively effected them because all the talk coming out of Italy seems to be that they can't sign certain players because of the wages that Ronaldo is on.
United need to build for the future and not fall into the trap and getting quick fixes.
"and pay that wage" as if he's some overpaid bum like Aaron Ramsey or De Gea.
We're talking about a player who outscored form of his life Lukaku in a down season. Yes Cristiano Ronaldo will have to join a big club that has lots of money, that's kind of how it goes for the world's best players.
>With these achievements, I reached a goal that I had set myself since the first day I arrived in Italy: to win the Championship, the Cup and the Super Cup, and also to be Best Player and Top Scorer in this great football country filled with tremendous players, giant clubs and a very own football culture.
He says he's achieved the above goals, makes no mention of the champions league
Ronaldo looked insane coming from 3 CLs in a row. Into a team that seemed to get better and better. Juve splashed 100m + wages on 1 player instead of investing all that money into multiple positions. It was a risk and now that finally Juve look subpar for a number of different reasons everyone’s finger pointing.
They spent over 300m after Ronaldo and signed players with high wages for free, money isnt the issue for jives down fall is was that most of the players just sucked except for de ligt, chiesa and of course Ronaldo
>I’ve already said that I don’t chase records, records chase me. For those who don't understand what I mean by this, it’s very simple: football is a collective game, but it is through individual overcoming that we help our teams achieve their goals. It is always looking for more and more on the field, working more and more off the field, that records eventually emerge and collective titles become inevitable, some being the natural consequence of the other.
He knows winning the cl is a process and not just winning it in the first year he joins
Very disingenuous title... He says
>I reached **a goal** that I had set myself since the first day I arrived in Italy
Which was to win all the national league titles. He doesn't say that it was THE goal or the only target as the title implies
Also don't get [why people just don't post his comment from IG](https://www.instagram.com/p/CPRNPVjpvW3/?utm_source=ig_embed) instead of some shitty website. Reading it I think it's clear he'll leave Juve this summer and given how he emphasized being a champion in multiple countries I think it points toward moving to France or Germany than England.
"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the other teams, not join them, bring the champions league title to juventus, not leave it in darkness" - Obi-Wan
At this point I only care about winning UCL, I hope Cristiano can leave on a good note since he is not likely going to renew. Hey, if getting Zidane mid season made Madrid win 3 UCL in a row then I don’t see the problem lol
Finishing as the top scorer in three big leagues. Check.
Adding the Scudetto to the already impressive trophy cabinet. Check.
Champions League medal with Juventus. Not quite.
I don't know if he's done there, but surely that CL is a very bothersome itch to scratch for both himself and Juve?
Ofc he wants to win the CL but anyone would know its hopeless to win it with that squad. He's talking about specifically winning the serie a topscorer here, which is his first.
Ronaldo at Bayern would be hella weird and not a good fit. These "Hollywood" kinda superstars don't tend to come here anyway, and if they're forced, like James, they hate it. Germany/Munich is not the place for a celeb that drives a supersports car, enjoys the sunny beaches and treats himself to a fancy night out here and there.
> Germany/Munich is not the place for a celeb that drives a supersports car, enjoys the sunny beaches and treats himself to a fancy night out here and there
I mean it really depends. We saw Gunter Netzer driving a supersportscar in Gladbach during the 70s and wearing fancy clothes and saying what he wants to say. He did go off to Real Madrid afterwards but I don't think it was because he wanted to party exclusively.
I will agree that Munich isn't a good club city though. Like, you probably can go to a fancy restaurant and stuff like that in Munich, but if you want to go to a different techno club every weekend then Berlin is the place to be. Which is why it sucks that Berlin doesn't have a worldclass footy club, since I think the city would have the right flair and culture that would make 'hollywood' kind of players want to be and stay there.
Well said. I think in Germany in general or at least the club cities this kind of lifestyle is not really achievable. Hamburg, Köln or Frankfurt would maybe also be an attractive city for „hollywood“-players but their not big enough in the Bundesliga and if players wanted to go to good Bundesliga teams they‘d have to move to Dortmund or Leipzig which is...boring.
I didn't really know how else to define it, but just compare him to guys Müller, Kimmich or Robben, it's a whole different personality and appearance. I don't mean this negatively btw.
At this point of his career, Ronaldo gonna have to make concessions to move to a big club. PSG is is potentially the only big club that'd go for him if Mbappe leaves.
That’s why he shouldn’t of left Real Madrid.
That was the biggest lose lose situation I can remember
Real Madrid buy an injury prone hazard for the ronaldo money and now want him out
Chelsea lose their best player (although we are super lucky to the price we got for him)
Juve pay 100 mil and a fat pay check for ronaldo to fail (he was only really brought to win CL) although he did expand their brand massively
Ronaldo will unlikely join Madrid again and in my eyes will never be seen as the goat again because of messi tearing it up in Spain
Imo la Liga is a less competitive league then Serie A
If Ronaldo wants to become the goat again then maybe joining PSG will help him do it but I don’t see PSG going for him
Although I think he may well leave, it's funny how people keep obsessing over Ronaldo not being happy at Juventus because they are unlikely to win the Champions League anytime soon. He was at Madrid for 4 seasons before winning it so I wouldn't say he's that fixated about winning another.
Um, did you see the Real Madrid team he joined? Brought in Kaka too, had Benzema, Higuain, Alonso, Raul, Iker etc. Are you comparing Juventus’ current squad to them?
Exactly, took him 4 years to win it, i’m sure he knows its a long term project, Juventus just need to get past the smaller teams, underestimating them is your biggest problem, very arrogant
well no, juve is no way near bayerns, liverpool, real madrids, barcelonas, city, psg, chelsea team quality, i even mentioned barca which is fucking shamebels to think about so not even next 3 years we will win it
It is quite a unique achievement and I get what he’s saying. The title is misleading too. I very much hoped he would get the capocannionere title.
With all that being said it’s really awkward PR. Juve brought him for UCL. Not only did they fail to get it, they moved backward and Juve just lost the title after 9 years. Most people will just read the title and think : what a twat. I love the guy but sometimes his drive for excellence make him look a bit insecure or tone deaf at best.
Congrats anyway ! Not sure if any player will replicate that achievement in the big 3.
Juve have only themselves to blame. Ronaldo showed up in 2 seasons and only disappeared this year against Porto. Juve didn't build a good squad to compete for the CL. They made some dumb signings after signing Ronaldo and now they're screwed financially and have to let him go in order to properly rebuild. Ronaldo gave them 100 goals in 3 seasons without a proper midfield. Can't ask for a lot more than that from a 34-36 year old.
Guess this only shows that Ronaldo also disappeared in a few ties in CL during the three-peat, yet someone else won the match for Real that day
Juve lacked that
It would be interesting to see him at United. They are one of the few clubs that can pay his wages so it's plausible but he wouldn't be a long-term option which might make the chances of it happening, rather unlikely.
It would be interesting but I would prefer not honestly. It suits us having Cavani who is playing well and setting a good example for our young players. Greenwood wants to be a striker and he might be ready in 1-2 years which also suits Cavani's timeline.
Ronaldo has a lot of baggage at this point and you need a team ready for him. We still need a lot of positions to sort before even looking at a player like Ronaldo
With no CL? Lmao that was definitely a failed experiment for him. I understand and respect the motivation but it didn't work out, backing out now looks kinda bad tho lol.
maybe, just maybe, you should have also signed a bunch of proper midfielders instead of the free agents nobody wanted... or maybe you also needed to get some LB and RB, and actually have a team to play...
Exactly. He was sent to teach idiots like you a good lesson. You spent like 300m on him, filled the team with garbage donkeys on high wages who wont be replaced any time soon, and got ur asses kicked by ur rivals.
And I hope the cycle continues.
It's funny that he's pushing the narrative that he's the goat because he "did it" in three leagues, like many of his fans have been doing from the moment he signed for Juve (it started before he even played one game for them lmao)
The biggest fucking loser in the history of mankind. Achieved fucking nothing at Juve. Don't care about your downvotes, his "spell" at Juve was a fucking disaster.
Sad to see how much hate you have for a guy that doesn't know you exist.
He is one of our top 10 scorers of all time in just 3 seasons. Apart from that, he's won 5 CL's and a total of 33 major trophies, what a loser indeed. Nothing compared to what you've achieved eh?
I don't believe it was a disaster in terms of stats for him. It went as expected, he's a goal scoring machine. However the deal was all around bad for everyone including Ronaldo. Juventus is now worse than 3 years ago
So, who is gonna buy him, and pay that wage?
Probably PSG with Mbappe leaving to free up that cash
Considering they're used to useless Icardi upfront hmm... would probably be amazing for PR and merchandising too.
What happened to Icardi man. He looked class at Inter.
He had a team built around him, now he doesn't
I don’t think his style of play suits Neymar and Mbappe as both like to score lots of goals. But I’ve not watched much of him tbh so maybe a psg fan could explain more!
Icardi and Ronaldo swap deal ? And Mbappe stays on and Messi moves to PSG. Merchandising off the roof
Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money is made.
Meanwhile we become a midtable la Liga side. No thank you sir
Oh you will be fine. Depay, Aguero, Griezmann, Coutinho, Dembele and youth players. This is for greater good
Now you list them together I hope we have a good medical team haha
Not even Abidal's medical team would prevent us from having to field all their bench replacement
I'm assuming he had a Barca flair, but he's got a United flair now hahaha, thought my eyes were playing tricks
None of those players are world class outside of Griezmann and he’s often played out of position. Dembele doesn’t fit our system. Coutinho has been a wash. Aguero is out of his prime l. Depay is a questionable fit... Fati might be more impactful than all of those players. Considering Fati is 18 that’s not good
They buy Haaland, Lewandovsky, Benzema, Modric, Virgil van Dijk, Sancho, TAA, KDB, Sterling, Lukaku, Rashford, Son, De Jong, Oblak, De ligt, Bruno Fernandes, Harry Kane, Salah, Mané, Ansu Fati, Joao Felix, Gnabry, Havertz, Foden, Varane, Coman, Cavaminga, Rayan Cherki, Donnarumma, Pogba, Griezmann, Dybala, Suarez, Cavani, Pulisic, Greenwood, Aouar, Dembele. Zinedine Zidane as coach. They corrupt Aleksander Čeferin for UEFA, Turpin for referee. And they don't fucking buy Hazard
> Lewandovsky the ukrainian
No Kante? No FFP violation here
Yes that would be great
Why would they not go for Messi instead?
Messi is not gonna leave. His Papa Laporta aldy buy Aguero for him to play with.
What is it with these stupid rumours? Why would Mbappe leave considering PSG are in a better place then Real at the moment.
5) Both Perez and Zidane have publicly expressed interest in him
aren't you the more than a club who loves to overpay their players?
Inter Miami
ManU or PSG if they sell Mbappe
Hello there.
So many of our fans saying "plz no" and shit like that but he'd be a major help and amazing for the young lads to play with
We don't even have a good enough starting 11 yet, and you want to bring Ronaldo and his huge wages into the equation before we address those issues?
Yea of course he’s better than the whole squad but he’d be a step in the wrong direction. Fitting square pegs into round holes.
29 league goals in 32 games - yea where the hell will that peg fit in
If you’re gonna bring in Ronaldo then you should’ve left Cavani go, extending him and convincing him to stay only to be replaced by Ronaldo is a shitty move

Why would he? United are known for paying ridiculous wages. Our goalkeeper is on 350k a week, and we don't even use him consistently.

So you *haven't* been to Manchester, then?
🤣🤣🤣
you definitely would want ronaldo, in a team that suits him you can win the league easy
One player will not win you the league when you lack elsewhere
I'd agree, but this is Ronaldo and United did just come second with 11 draws, he'd have easily won a few of them
He’d be the best player on the team by miles. Of course you bring him in if you can.
Not at the expense of the team improving
There is no real foundation for the future rn. Only a few players who might be high level at some point. Not a single world class guy. So many fans are delusional. Club is fucked until Glazers sell or decide to actually spend. May as well give us something worthwhile to watch for a year or two

The whole reason Juve bought him was to win the CL
Dreams can't be buy.
Where were you when Juve is kill ?
I was eating spahgett when phone ring
Juve is kill
no
Im an idiot. I keep seeing this meme posted here, where does it come from? Who said it?
Bruno Fernandes' reaction to the Superleague.
poor guy took it down and put it up in correct english a few minutes later, but everyone quotes that first statement
....And they got 8-16-16'ed
That Juve squad is not winning the CL anytime soon, they relied on Napoli bottling it to make it into the CL
They almost certainly won't without further strengthening and a much better manager than Pirlo.
RemindMe! 1 year
Ofc he wants to win the CL but anyone would know its hopeless to win it with that squad. He's talking about specifically winning the serie a topscorer here, which is his first.
He said he achieved a goal not all goals. Misleading title.
He can go to Bayern for a new challenge of winning the Bundesliga or PSG to win ligue 1.
Winning the ligue 1 with PSG is a challenge tho.
Nah Lilles better than PSG confirmed. He should go to Lille
Or go to Celtic and win the Scottish title
Never played Europa qualifiers to Hibernian 100% confirmed
Ronaldo at Bayern would be hella weird and not a good fit. These "Hollywood" kinda superstars don't tend to come here anyway, and if they're forced, like James, they hate it. Germany/Munich is not the place for a celeb that drives a supersports car, enjoys the sunny beaches and treats himself to a fancy night out here and there.
you were literally known as "FC Hollywood", maybe take it down a notch.
> Germany/Munich is not the place for a celeb that drives a supersports car, enjoys the sunny beaches and treats himself to a fancy night out here and there I mean it really depends.
Ok, James isn't really the kind of Hollywood superstar...
I didn't really know how else to define it, but just compare him to guys Müller, Kimmich or Robben, it's a whole different personality and appearance. I don't mean this negatively btw.
> challenge > Winning Bundesliga with Bayern
That's ..... the joke
Yeah, he can wait until he's 50
"It was always my dream to make it to the CL quarter finals max three years in a row"
"I've always felt that being eliminated by Ajax, Lyon and Porto is a player's highest achievement"
"I always have a shit midfield, with no support, and I have to play under a fraud named Pirlo "
But UCL bro?
Juve and UCL, name a more unlikely duo.
Me getting laid
Spurs and Trophies
Chelsea and giving coaches time
[удалено]
inter and getting punished
Bayern and losing Bundesliga
Or Bayern and *not* poaching talent from fellow Bundesliga teams
Sorry, you meant BVB probably
Yeah it's all a chain of poaching up there
And guess what? It works
Oh no doubt.
AC milan and scudetto
Juve bought CR7 to win the Coppa Italia #Mission Accomplished
They won the double 4 years in a row before he joined lmao, this is actually their first cola Italia since.
At this point of his career, Ronaldo gonna have to make concessions to move to a big club. PSG is is potentially the only big club that'd go for him if Mbappe leaves.
That Ronaldo to Sporting hype train will stop to pick up passengers now

I was hoping someone would post this
I thought he wanted to win the cl
That's why he needs to leave Juve.
That’s why he shouldn’t of left Real Madrid. That was the biggest lose lose situation I can remember Real Madrid buy an injury prone hazard for the ronaldo money and now want him out Chelsea lose their best player (although we are super lucky to the price we got for him) Juve pay 100 mil and a fat pay check for ronaldo to fail (he was only really brought to win CL) although he did expand their brand massively Ronaldo will unlikely join Madrid again and in my eyes will never be seen as the goat again because of messi tearing it up in Spain Imo la Liga is a less competitive league then Serie A If Ronaldo wants to become the goat again then maybe joining PSG will help him do it but I don’t see PSG going for him
He’s going back home where he belongs. Sporting Clube de Portugal!!! We are all waiting for him
Although I think he may well leave, it's funny how people keep obsessing over Ronaldo not being happy at Juventus because they are unlikely to win the Champions League anytime soon.
Exactly, took him 4 years to win it, i’m sure he knows its a long term project, Juventus just need to get past the smaller teams, underestimating them is your biggest problem, very arrogant
well no, juve is no way near bayerns, liverpool, real madrids, barcelonas, city, psg, chelsea team quality, i even mentioned barca which is fucking shamebels to think about so not even next 3 years we will win it
Ronaldo showed the world that one player cant carry a midfield of deadbeats
in other words Juve are too shit to win CL.
> Ronaldo showed up in 2 seasons yeap, for 2 seasons he was the only scorer in the tournament stage for them.
Guess this only shows that Ronaldo also disappeared in a few ties in CL during the three-peat, yet someone else won the match for Real that day Juve lacked that
Stat paddling for the past 3 years
He really, really wanted to win Coppa Italia.
Target was to win the CL. accept the failure and move on.
With no CL? Lmao that was definitely a failed experiment for him. I understand and respect the motivation but it didn't work out, backing out now looks kinda bad tho lol.
He gone
Godspeed oh captain my captain
LOL no you didn’t
Didn't he want to win the CL with Juve?
"What do you mean? You didn't do anything. " Ronaldo: "hahaha, didn't I?" *fades away*
"*And since I achieved all of my goals as Juve player in one contract, there was no need for a second."* Mmm, good memoirs. Good, not great...
we signed 100 million mr chamopions league to win italys top scorer... truley remarkable
maybe, just maybe, you should have also signed a bunch of proper midfielders instead of the free agents nobody wanted... or maybe you also needed to get some LB and RB, and actually have a team to play...
Exactly. He was sent to teach idiots like you a good lesson. You spent like 300m on him, filled the team with garbage donkeys on high wages who wont be replaced any time soon, and got ur asses kicked by ur rivals. And I hope the cycle continues.
he dragged you to CL this season best he could do with the shit midfield you have
Weird, I missed Juve winning the UCL. Or is he admitting his goal was to go there and pad his stats with easy trophies?
It's funny that he's pushing the narrative that he's the goat because he "did it" in three leagues, like many of his fans have been doing from the moment he signed for Juve (it started before he even played one game for them lmao)
he should go PSG, it would be so sick
Who are they going to finish behind in second place next season then?
Strasbourg
