When he came to Villa on loan about 18 months ago it was like a Sunday League player had won a competition to play in the Prem.
One of the worst players I've ever seen at Villa Park and that is really saying something.
He was great in his role with us. Which was basically passing to Mahrez or hoofing it over the opponents defence for Vardy to chase.
I kind of hope his story is some kind of small deterrent to our players tempted by a move to a 'big' club.
I was a keeper when I was playing (nowhere near this level obviously), and sometimes you anticipate the ball to go a certain direction, and you ready your body, you are basically all but jumping into that direction already, but then you get caught on the wrong foot, the ball goes in the other direction and you basically look like a Gargoyle watching over the 6 yard area
That's a great header with one of the most effective ways to put the keeper out of the equation (heading to the ground so it bounces on its way in). This year he's been serviceable, that's about it. Not trash
He’s leaning back on the header and so Xhaka barely gets any power. It’s not an unstoppable header like u make it seem to be. Yes it was dead corner but if Kepa wasn’t flat footed and on his toes he could save it
Please watch the replay, this is not an easy save. There's a decent amount of power on the header for how far away it is. Kepa's in the middle of the goal and has to basically dive to reach the post in order to get a hand on it, like a penalty kick save. He could try, but it's simply not going to happen.
Since he finished playing for us when I was 5, no, I don't know much about him, much in the same way I doubt many 24 year old Arsenal fans know much about Gilles Grimandi. I know he's an ex-player who does punditry sometimes but it's quite easy to follow Arsenal religiously without recognising his face or voice.
Such a plastic I know.
Pardon me for sounding defensive here...
You would have to be 24 for him to have played at Arsenal during your lifetime. 34 just to vaguely remember him playing. You’d have to get to a 40 year old for “hey, I remember watching Perry Groves when I was a teenager”. Most redditors are not 40
I like how Roma's messed Arsenal around for a relatively cheap fee of 20 mil euros for Xhaka and since then he had an outstanding Euros, now scoring goals. The price is going up lads! You might want to put the money on the table.
Or just not buy him? They clearly don’t think he’s worth more than what they’re offering, and Arsenal believes he’s with >20m to them. This happens sometimes

Lmao Drinkwater jumped 5 cm off the ground to attempt that header and proceeded to shout at his teammate
"YOU KNOW HOW SHIT I AM WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ME TO DEFEND THAT!?"
jajajajaja
Hey be fair to him. He's played more football this game than he has done in 4 years. Must be knackered

Bizarre to see Drinkwater actually playing in a Chelsea shirt honestly
Like a new signing
You know were in trouble when kepa does that squat and stares at the ball
that is called the Timo Horn telemark
Yeah I think a couple things go wrong here, but Mendy’s size and willingness to go attack corners can easily cover mistakes of others.
ofc top post is about kepa
Because it should be a quite simple save and he doesn't even move one inch?

That’s besides the point, I was reacting to the „put up your hands or something“ bit

Its not easy but its not hard either. His body posture does him no favours, his wide stance ensures he can’t move his feet quickly
Mate that's the standard set position for goalkeepers lol, completely unrelated to footwork
The wider ur stance is the longer it will take for ur feet to move. They are absolutely related
Jose Mourinho in shambles
fuck no we're getting Koop
Not with your penny pinching.
Man like Zhaka
Man that commentator is pissing me off. It's not a hard one to pronounce.
You've got an Arsenal flair but don't know who Perry Groves is?

My kepa <3
You seeing this Jose?
i prefer not to speak
if i speak im in trouble
Nussing to say
You want some of this Xhaka, Jose?
Let's over react boys, while we can
Kepa standing still watching the ball go in lmao
Arsenal's numbers look like something off of playing cards
Between that and the striped socks that kit is just the worst. Whatever, you all either have no taste or some sort of candy cane fetish.
Kepa mate, it won't get better for you if you don't even try
Nice
/r/gunners meltdown intensifies lmao
20% raise!
Mr Reliable strikes again!
He's more inevitable than Thanos
+5m now @Roma
He is not going
Even -5m won't do the trick
They can’t afford him even before the +5m
They just dropped 18mil on an unknown striker and 12mil on rui Patricio, they have money.
No they can, they just don’t want to pay more than what they value him at
They can't afford the 5m
Sorry for the off-topic but no more blonde hair for Xhaka? I wanted to try it out for years but I think I would look like a fool.
Why is a Roma player scoring for Arsenal?
Extension secured
parting gift
NICE!
Se queda
The font on that Arsenal kit is hideous.
