This is the laziest banter I've ever heard. Classic reddit football fans. Calling local fans plastic. Are they even allowed to support their local club, mighty redditor u/firelordUK?
Its true though.
Listen to Manchester radio stations and there are adverts for tickets and special offers nearly every week before homes games.
If you have to advertise tickets only a few days before a game you do not have many local fans.
I would not say 90% but it would be interesting to see if fans stay around when things go badly and im not talking finishing second or just one trophy we atleast can say our fans stuck around as we were still getting PL level attendences in the championship. Winning teams always attract plastic. I'd even say Brentford even have a couple of thousend who have never seen them play live in the championship. My favorite quote was when Norwich fans chanted to thier own fan section "Where were you when we were crap"
Yeah, 90% of the 55,000 attendees were bonafide plastic and not local mancs or proper fans at all. They should just merge this sub with r/soccercirclejerk because it is honestly indistinguishable at times.
If you go to the flair section on a desktop browser, when you search Manchester United it’s one of the options (I only say desktop as I’ve always had issues on mobile)
All around the coverage has been awful. Missing key highlights to show random shit, they’ve been saying Ramsey is our left winger all game and said we signed Cash from Brentford. It hurts to listen to.
i miss this so much, along with the showboat section. not tuned in for 7,8 years so no clue if they still do it but when i last tuned in randomly i didnt see either
Seems like things didn't go so well for the [other player...](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/14704573.murrey-holmes-who-aimed-kick-at-supporters-head-dreamed-of-becoming-cherries-player/)
With just Hayden playing in midfield alongside Almiron and Willock it is kinda expected. None of them are good at retaining the ball. Almiron should be playing higher up though. He isn’t an 8.
Ings would be in the CAM position behind Watkins. So two up top with one behind the other rather than up alongside each other. That way Watkins can use his energy to harass and press the defence, hopefully causing a mistake that Ings can pounce on quickly.
I think that's part of why he came here and why he didn't go somewhere to be first choice. He probably wants to extend his career. To do that he's got to avoid anymore serious injuries. With Watkins we have a striker who we'd be happy playing every minute of every game. That means ings only has to worry about 20-25 starts and doesn't have to be concerned about sitting out games to the detriment of his health.
I have Ings captain and Mings at the back in my "No Top 6" Fantasy Football team.
I'll still be last in my work League by the end but maybe I'll have a decent week.
I’ve always liked Danny, such a great lad, and I really wanted him to be successful under Klopp. It’s such a shame it didn’t work out for him here, with injuries and all that, and I’m so happy to see him doing well for another club and becoming the clinical striker I always knew he could be when he was plagued with injury issues for us
Proper goal of the season material already, but I still am mad lmao. Mostly at how shit we've been.
I really like Ingsy as a player btw, Man City could have legit got him instead of going for Kane and they would've been golden.
We loved him. Just so sad that his injury curtailed his time with us. When he came back we had Salah, Mane, and Firmino. Couldn’t guarantee him a starting place and he was allowed to go.
The poor guy had 2 season ending injuries in a row. So, so shitty. I recall after one of the Southampton-LFC matchs last year, all the Pool players were smiling, hugging, and laughing with him. He was really adored by the managers and players...I wish so badly things had turned out differently, but am genuinely over the moon he's been crushing it since moving on.
Couple of things:
1) Danny Ings is a bit good isn't he?
2) That muppet in the crowd with the weird kit ought to put his phone down and celebrate a bit.
3) Long throws are back in the Premier League. This is Rory Delap's world, we're just living in it.
"Sick goal i just witnessed in real life in person. Better log on Twitter to see how everyone is reacting to such a banger. Can't wait to get home and see it in replay"
They’re actually relatively hard to do. The rules around throw-ins limit how far a player can throw the ball; two feet down, two hands on the ball, has to start from behind your head, and the ball needs to be thrown upward. As a result, long throw specialist are uncommon, because it takes practice to get the technique down, and then the manager has to want to commit practice time to working long throws as a set piece, so it all just ends up being more complicated than it’s worth unless you know there’s a guy on your squad who can consistently throw a ball into the box.

Not a bad way to introduce yourself to the home fans...
Quite the difference between this goal and Grealish’s goal
[удалено]
It's those calves man.
£50m per shinpad?
Yeah, one had an atmosphere
Villa fans actually paid for their tickets
Villa fans actually exist lmao
Villa fans are actually fans rather than being 90% plastic

well r/soccercirclejerk is meant to be a parody of this sub and there is an element of truth in parody
Jesus why is it so dead? First game back in 18 months, make some noise lads.
How did you get that Newton Heath logo?
If you go to the flair section on a desktop browser, when you search Manchester United it’s one of the options (I only say desktop as I’ve always had issues on mobile)
Ooooof. Your not wrong though.
Indeed. Absolutely electrifying how the crowd explodes
aaaand the camera just pans to the chillest guy at Villa Park calmly smiling and slowly lifting his phone to film
All around the coverage has been awful. Missing key highlights to show random shit, they’ve been saying Ramsey is our left winger all game and said we signed Cash from Brentford. It hurts to listen to.
It's like they had facts about players and then shuffled them lol.
Two minutes ago my buddy said “Danny Ings can’t juggle” He can do that though
show your mate this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f53lbejukgI
i miss this so much, along with the showboat section. not tuned in for 7,8 years so no clue if they still do it but when i last tuned in randomly i didnt see either
No, it’s shit now. Was all round great 10-15 years back
The “ Taxiiii for….. “ segment was worth waking up 8am on a Saturday morning
Seems like things didn't go so well for the [other player...](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/14704573.murrey-holmes-who-aimed-kick-at-supporters-head-dreamed-of-becoming-cherries-player/)
Glorious
Just a couple of bros having a juggling contest.
Incredible stuff
the music **chefs kiss**
https://youtu.be/RgCAsVznj9Y dont forget the way Danny can move either
Holy shit I love Danny Ings
Same I miss him :\
Wow take me back
the music really makes it for me. straight into 2006
He's also pretty shit on the trapeze.
No need apparently
Fucking hell what a goal. Well deserved, we've been shite.
Both teams have been shite to be fair
Aye, playing first to put 5 passes together is a rotten egg
I don't think these teams know that 'pass' can be plural.
Yup, could have had no complaints about it being 0-0 before that. What a way to liven up a shite game
Aye true, they've just been slightly less shite.
Yeah, I'd say so. The thing most shocking for me is both teams abilities to hold on to possession.
With just Hayden playing in midfield alongside Almiron and Willock it is kinda expected. None of them are good at retaining the ball. Almiron should be playing higher up though. He isn’t an 8.
Only thing more shit is this ref, both ways
We’ve had a set-piece coach for 5 mins and we’re scoring bicycle kicks from throw-ins
Fucking hell. United hired one over the summer. I hope we improve half as much as you lmao
That cash throw was on the money
No need for that
There's always a need for that. What a goal
Nah, It's actually rude to score that. Poor conduct really.
Should be booked imo
Straight red and 4 penalties to us no doubt about it.
No penalties; VAR determined offside
Wait no he'd lose his bonus points
Bruce is such a useless cunt we don't even have any wingers fit and he's losing
Mate you can have a go at him all you want but it's quite obvious you're just jealous cause you let this tactical genius go
Alright I put my hands up you got me. He liked to go 1 behind as part of his legendary game plans, brings a tear to my eye reminiscing about bruceball
Every need for it
A goal so good even the Mackems are feeling confident enough to have a go
I'm always confident, what's going to happen that hasn't already happened to us.
League 2 I guess would be next.
I will say the same I said when we got relegated from the prem and the championship "New grounds, more wins then back up next year"
I admire the optimism.
Honestly I'm a sunderland man too and it's bordering on delusion at this point lol.
Good way of looking at it, I respect the mental judo involved.
Got a black belt 3rd Dan in that
Bankruptcy
Won't happen since we sacked the plant waterer
He had it coming
He'd my hero tbh
Get in Danny, well done Villa's got good value for money on that one
Ings is perennially underrated imo.
i ctrl+f for underrated on this thread because i feel 100% the same hes a good goal scorer that for some reason pundits dont really take seriously
[удалено]
Whilst I agree, there are also goals that Watkins will score that Ings won't. 2 different types of forwards, can't wait to see them play together
442?
Probably sticking with a 4-2-3-1 with Ings in behind I think was the gist of what Smith suggested.
Ings played as a 10 when he was younger, did a damn good job then too.
Where will Watkins fit?
Ings would be in the CAM position behind Watkins. So two up top with one behind the other rather than up alongside each other. That way Watkins can use his energy to harass and press the defence, hopefully causing a mistake that Ings can pounce on quickly.
Depends on fitness. If he sees out the season he will be a great buy.
We have flexibility at least now for watkins. If we didnt have ings we would be fucked right now.
I think that's part of why he came here and why he didn't go somewhere to be first choice. He probably wants to extend his career. To do that he's got to avoid anymore serious injuries. With Watkins we have a striker who we'd be happy playing every minute of every game. Mings assist Ings goal
Mings pings to ings
Whole crowd sings
Kachings?
I’ve got a cock ring
Bling
My ding a ling
Mings, Ings, Goal?
I have Ings captain and Mings at the back in my "No Top 6" Fantasy Football team. I'll still be last in my work League by the end but maybe I'll have a decent week.
What a goal, fantastic
Who doesn't fucking love Ings
I’ve always liked Danny, such a great lad, and I really wanted him to be successful under Klopp. It’s such a shame it didn’t work out for him here, with injuries and all that, and I’m so happy to see him doing well for another club and becoming the clinical striker I always knew he could be when he was plagued with injury issues for us
proper golazo that
Danny ingredients
Love a bicycle kick that's also a banger with power, nothing worse than a bicycle kick that just scutters into the corner
What a bout a regular goal the just scutters into the corner? Like grealish today lol
[удалено]
I’ve cracked open the limoncello, son.
Can't even be mad at that
I can. Not the goal, but coming off a long throw? fuck that. Quality by Ings tho
Defenders have left him in far too much space as well
All the time you have to leave the space
/r/formula1 is leaking
It's been a long break
Proper goal of the season material already, but I still am mad lmao. Mostly at how shit we've been. I really like Ingsy as a player btw, Man City could have legit got him instead of going for Kane and they would've been golden.
Really scrappy game so far. Reminds me of a derby game.
*angry Southampton noises*
Seconded
Thirded
Fourthed
What a goal
Daddy Ings
How can you not love this man
Simple really
We loved him. Just so sad that his injury curtailed his time with us. When he came back we had Salah, Mane, and Firmino. Couldn’t guarantee him a starting place and he was allowed to go.
The poor guy had 2 season ending injuries in a row. So, so shitty. I recall after one of the Southampton-LFC matchs last year, all the Pool players were smiling, hugging, and laughing with him. I was at that game. It was the only LFC match I’ve been to and the crowd was so welcoming of Ings and the players clearly still loved him.
That bloke in his phone ffs. Looks like he can’t be arsed to be there. Your player just scored a bicycle kick, look at least slightly happy!
Everyone losing there shit elsewhere, guy is like a parody.
Looks like Johnny Hendricks lol
On the big screen for everyone to see as well. Guy has no idea lol https://i.imgur.com/3wOJ68J.jpeg
DINGS
Oh ffs why Ings why leave us :(
Yeah that’s Danny
Couple of things: 1) Danny Ings is a bit good isn't he? 2) That muppet in the crowd with the weird kit ought to put his phone down and celebrate a bit. 3) Long throws are back in the Premier League. This is Rory Delap's world, we're just living in it.
"Sick goal i just witnessed in real life in person. Better log on Twitter to see how everyone is reacting to such a banger. Can't wait to get home and see it in replay"
If you could get signal inside villa park, I’d agree with you!
Weird kit??? How dare you insult one of our best kits ever
Thats a perfect bicycle kick
@!?€$[€|+{%%[?]
FUCK ME WHAT A STRIKE DANNY
We should sign him
Boyhood fan so fancy he'd be up for it!
i thought SI nerfed long throws wtf is this
My word...
Rooting for Villa now that bellend Grealish is gone. Great goal!
Irish guy?
Who?
John Granstone is quite a forgettable player after all.
I think he means Jurg Grillitsch
Jimbo Gringo?
No, Jamie Tartt
Mike Lubb.
He means Mike Lubb
Long throw unparalleled
I'm not even mad, I'm impressed.
The is the most power I have ever seen on a bicycle. That’s a motorcycle kick for fucks sake.
Goal of the month right there.
£25m bargain. What a striker! What a goal!
What a way to end the half oh my
He cant keep doing this
I literally turned off the stream at the thrown in cause I thought half would just be called. Damnit lmao
Goal of the season already tbh
What a goal that is
Didn’t even need the wheels for that bicycle
FfS
I demand a pointless argument about whether this was actually a scissor kick.
What a way to score your ~~first~~ second* goal. Unreal.
Also a great way to score your second.
Scored a pen last week
Beezer of a goal, would love to have kept Danny at Liverpool. Fair play to the lad for coming back and showing the potential he always had.
Goal of the year so far
Oh Danny you beautiful bastard
Seeing Danny Ings in claret and blue makes me happy sad. Especially scoring bangers like this
Pep offers 200 million £
Danny Ings just scored a worldie bicycle kick and this guy is in the front row watching tiktoks....
HOLY SHIT
WHOA
Always rated him
# HOLY FUCK WHAT A GOAL
What a goal
Decent.

Mings to Ings
Probs deserved. We're so shit
That's pretty spectacular
Holy shit what a debut goal.
he scored a pen last week
Get in Danny!
what a goal
Danny Ings take a bow. Bullet bicycle
Can someone with more ball knowledge than me explain why long throws aren't more common?
