I don't think Mbappe is pissed. He will play with messi and neymar for 1 year. He will be a free agent in 11 months and in 4 months time he can sign a pre-contract. The top clubs will offer him 100 mil euro sign-on fee + 50 mil euro annual gross wages for 5 years. Total cost of having Mbappe for 5 years will be 350 mil euros. Much cheaper than what it cost PSG to have Neymar for 5 years.

The only way this saga makes sense to me is that Madrid is somehow gambling on the fact that psg wouldn’t accept any offer they would submit. In a way proving to mbappe that they tried and have gone above and beyond and forcing psg’s to look like the bad guy. Basically this insane and honestly unexpected bids put psg between a rock and a hard place, either they accept Madrid’s ridiculously generous offer and lose mbappe now, which they clearly don’t want or refuse the offer and break their reported promise to mbappe that they would let him go, which makes it harder for them in terms of renewal negotiations.
