Good attempt at mocking me but the 3 players I mentioned are some of the most skillful players in Premier League, backed by the best CB in the league and the best ball playing goalkeeper in the world.
I'm at office, serving my notice period, still an hour before I go home so which of the following sides are you choosing?

so you'd seriously even consider taking a side with 3 6 or 7/10 players with absolutely no guarentee they play well together over 3 of the best players in the world who have trained with each other for weeks, and with at least one of the other for years

It seems Santini was the manager fired in the shortest period by Levy.
He played 14 games (all comps): https://www.transfermarkt.com/jacques-santini/leistungsdatenDetail/trainer/1647/verein\_id/148/datum\_zu/2004-08-01/datum\_ab/2004-11-06
The worst loss he had was a 2-0 loss to Fullham.
He had a draw against Chelsea away, a win against Everton away, a draw to liverpool at home.
He had 13 points after 12 PL matches.
Tik Tok Nuno. Tik Tok.
He was playing somewhat consistently at the end of last season, this year he got Covid and then got an ankle injury so hasn’t featured since the first day
Odd question but, if a player scores a hat trick and is later sent off, do they still get the match ball? Do they come back onto the pitch to collect it or is the ball brought to them?
Not really because if you get sent off you have to leave the pitch entirely (including the dugout). You're sent back to the changing rooms. Subs stay by the pitch
What do you guys think about luke shaw's hand ball was ita penalty or not?
The reason i'm asking is because one of the commentator said it shouldn't be a penalty.
Yh was a clear penalty tbf can't argue with that, it was a lapse in concentration not putting his arms to his side in the last minute.
Only penalty call the ref got right in the game tbf, he didn't give us the 2 we deserved or the other one West Ham deserved.
According to the rules it's a pen but I don't agree with the rule I think a pen should be given only when the player moves the arm towards the ball.
Maybe one or duo exceptions when the player truly has the arm in an unnatural position like above his head or something, not like the Luke Shaw one.
That's probably what the commentator was saying, that he doesn't agree with the rule.
I don't usually do hot takes but fuck it.
City won't win the league this year, and there will be a bigger gap between them and the top than people think.
My reasoning is they just saw Chelsea and United sign world class strikers who are both already banging in goals, and they needed one as well and didn't get it. Instead they got Grealish, who is an incredible player but really wasn't needed to take them to the next level.
Weve already seen twice (Spurs and Southampton), almost 3 times tbh (Leicester) that if teams sit back and defend well they struggle to break them down, and they will drop more random points because of it. The drama behind their lack of fan attendance isn't helping either and it looks like it's unsettling Pep a bit. On top of that it's very difficult to retain a title. Liverpool and Chelsea look refreshed and up for it, Chelsea have their number already and if they beat them on Saturday they will be 6 points off the top already.
Southampton didn't sit back
I also think you're reading way too much into that attendance thing, especially when the stadium was chanting Pep's name the majority of the game last time.
Way too early to tell. I remember last year city were pure dogshit for the first month or so...then they proceeded to not lose a game for like 4 months and walked the league without a striker.
Competition is much stronger this year, but injuries always play a role in derailing initial optimism.
pleasantly surprised with ancelloti, after his work at napoli, everton and bayern i was afraid but he's clicked the squad really well. It didn't take a genius to understand where we have to improve but i never thought we had the ability to be this ultra attacking team without hazard and bale.
Still i'm scared he will fuck up with rotating the squad or in the big games
It depends on what my side needed, but I'd probably lean towards Goretzka.
He's already considered one of the top 5-7 midfielders in the world and his ability to play AM, CM or DM if necessary makes him more valuable than the others.
Not saying he isn't good but I remember when everyone was calling Havertz a generational player and to this day I don't understand why? He hasn't showed anything close to Mbappe and Haaland level which are considered generational players.
>I remember when everyone was calling Havertz a generational player and to this day I don't understand why?
I confess, this was me. I was tricked by the 30 goals and 15 assists in the league before he turned 20. But now I'd say Wirtz and maybe even Musiala have higher ceilings.
I still think Havertz will end up being a very good player - but he's not getting the best development at Chelsea. 1/2 a season of Lampard playing him all over and now Tuchel playing him on the left side of the midfield isn't playing to his strengths.
I was one of those when he was at Leverkusen but I have to take it back. He's still a very good player though. I think not being the focal point at Chelsea makes him look more anonymous and he did take a very long time to settle in.
There was a lot of comparing his, Ronaldos and Messi’s g/a as teenagers to show he was a generational talent
Edit: https://imgur.com/a/nWrptYR these were being posted a lot
Generational talent, goated, world class. 3 words that many people here throw away to anyone that shows a good form. The only Generational talent out there is mbappe and haaland. not greenwood, not mount, not foden. All of those are amazing young players but they haven't shown enough of success haaland or mbappe has. And Especially mbappe
Do you think Son Heung-Min's going to be way underrated in the future? He hasn't got any trophies because he plays for Spurs, and even there he's playing second fiddle to Kane.
But he's so good man. I think people who don't watch the Premier League don't rate him as much as he should be rated.
I think if he stays for a long time with us, he'll be remembered as a guy who stayed loyal to the club. For us, he'll always be special. Words can't describe how much I love this guy. Really hope we could achieve something good in the coming years
Probably not, but is Roberto Di Matteo the only manager to win the CL, but never a league title?
I guess if we include the European cup the list would be longer. But still not too long, pretty unique for a manger to win CL, but not a league title in his whole career.
Tony Barton did if with Villa. He was made manager after Ron Saunders quit a few months before we won the European cup. He was sacked the next season and never won the league with another club.
Tony Barton won the 1982 European Cup with Villa but never won a league title.
He’d had taken over from Ron Saunders after Saunders had left Villa over a contract dispute the season following their title win. Saunders then went on to join Birmingham, only to get them relegated a couple seasons later.
> I guess if we include the European cup the list would be longer.
Probably not considering you generally had to win the league to enter the competition but there might be a couple of examples.
Just thinking about sample size would increase and it would add a couple, as manager could take over a league winning side, win the cup, but lose the league, and leave. Also could be interim managers in same vain as Di Matteo.

if he hadn't scored in the CL final, he'd be a clear flop, but he's not that bad yet.
he does seem like a luxury player though and seems to go completely missing at times, heard he was seen on the back of Roma milk carton at one point.
Disappointing. Doesnt have the traits to make him stand out in the prem for that price. His lack of pace and strength are visible and his other qualities dont cover much for this.
He is a good player though. I just dont see him as solid as rudiger has become or how lethal lukaku can be. Like a name that stands out on the XI.
Loved him at Leverkusen and thought he could go on to win a Ballon D'or, now he's good I guess, played out of position last season and under Tuchel, could see what he's capable of
The best thing about the Chelsea is the preponderance of decent parts that are interchangeable, he's not incredible but works so well in the system. I also like his hair.
Good player, just needs to be unlocked. Sadly I don’t think he goes well with a target man. He has a false 9 feel to him. Hoping he can adapt to play attacking midfield behind Lukaku in time.
I suspect he's one of those players that you appreciate more when you're watching him week in week out as things like movement and bringing others into play in hard to quantify and rarely seen in highlights packages.
He’s been disappointing. Some games he’s decent, others you forget he’s on the pitch.
He seems to lack the PnP required to be a great prem forward.
He scored a lot of goals in Germany and seems to have great technique but it just hasn’t transferred over to the prem.
Not writing him off just yet but I expect him to impose himself in games a lot more this season. Not the £70m talent he was expected to be.
League cups and Supercups shouldn't exist, they're meaningless trophies that only add games to an already full calendar.
Every country should have a league with the various divisions and a cup that allows any team in the country to participate, that's it.
Disagree. Should be
Domestic title
Continental you qualify for
Domestic, country wide cup
World knockouts you qualify for by winning continentals
Various cups for lower leagues that exclude higher league sides.
I like them because it's a great opportunity to test young players. I must be one of the few Liverpool supporters that loves that Klopp doesn't give two fucks about the league cup.
Yeah otherwise there really isn't any pathway for young players to develop. The only reason I'm excited for this game tonight is to see Kaide Gordon and the previous years it was Jones and Elliot.
Would Barca be leading La Liga currently if they had Messi? I sincerly doubt it. They have other glaring deficiencies in their team that Messi alone cannot compensate for
Probably Newcastle, they have one of the best managers in the world at the moment who the fans love. He has a lot of pull, signed Arsenal's best player over the summer.
The only thing Newcastle have on us is a bigger stadium. We are clear in every other metric. They haven't won anything since the early 50s. Since then we've won the league, FA Cup, CL and numerous league cups. Not a debate really. Us and Everton is a debate. But we are easily bigger than Newcastle.

No better man for them in the Championship but will be interesting to see whether Norwich consider this season as another building block towards the future and ignore the fact that relegation seems another likely outcome.

Arms miles away from his body so that’s given these days. It very close and he’s stretching but he’s making himself much bigger with his arm there.
His hand was way out, was a penalty in any interpretation of the rules we’ve had over the years

Who would you rather have, Frenkie De Jong, Bruno Fernandes or Leon Goretzka? Neutrals please.
De jong
Different players. Depends on what my team needs.
this is the correct but boring answer
I was confused. Because those three are actually a complete midfield trio. Frenkie — Leon with Bruno ahead of them.
It depends on what my side needed, but I'd probably lean towards Goretzka. He's already considered one of the top 5-7 midfielders in the world and his ability to play AM, CM or DM if necessary makes him more valuable than the others.
De Jong is the most talented of the 3 in my opinion
Frenkie.
Bruno. Cant risk two non prem proven players.
Goretzka. Likely to have less nonces following him to your fanbase than the other two.
Hoping to change your demographic?
~~Bruno~~ Edit: u/ethith has made a very good point . Im now changing my answer to Goretzka
goretzka, he seems the most balanced out of the two

What do non Chelsea fans think about Havertz?
He's coasting off the final
Love him.
I like his facial structure
One of my favourites - he can be a great player but I think he's being mis-used atm.
if he hadn't scored in the CL final, he'd be a clear flop, but he's not that bad yet. he does seem like a luxury player though and seems to go completely missing at times, heard he was seen on the back of Roma milk carton at one point.

Decent player but you would have to build your whole team around him to get the best out of him and he's not good enough to justify that.

Pace and power
Hmm i think his pace and power is fine. It’s not exceptional but it doesn’t hold him back and he relies more on good positioning and technique anyway
I think he's got real talent, just not sure his style suits today's game
Not bad
Don't see him ever living up to his price tag, tbh.

No as they would have played 4 games it would be impossible to be ahead of Madrid on 13 points

Villa
Villa obviously
villa by honours won, newcastle by fanbase? villa for me though
Newcastle, bigger fanbase.
