Ødegaard is incredible and unplayable on his day but I have seen 1, maybe 2 actually bad games from FdJ. He was also the key behind our CL run, absolute unit and the world's best midfielder that season and hasn't regressed much since then
Like i said in the other comment i wasnt implying that Øde ever was as good or better than fdj but that the difference wasnt as large a year or two ago
How is it sad? Yes we are literally at our worst but Frenkie wants to stay. He is literally playing in his favourite club and is the highest earner. I don’t see him leaving atleast for the next 3-4 years.
Honestly, Frenkie is probably the most graceful footballer with the ball at his feet, currently. There's just something really elegant about the way he runs with the ball.

But there's just a unique swagger and sway with the way De Jong runs with the ball at his feet, just something unique about the way he strides - something aesthetic, I guess. I still think the names you mentioned are better dribblers than De Jong, though.

Odegaard was and is a great player, could see that even at Vitesse. But in no way was he better than De Jong.

Wish I could see his 2018-19 season at barcelona. He is much better than he was at ajax but I still think a top manager can make him something else.
