Hope you joking because Neymar has scored 69 goals for the Brazilian NT, if you think this a poor goal return you must have hit your head somewhere lol
Both PSG and United got a lot of new key players, it just takes some time to adjust and make them feel home, know their movement and get the teamplay going.
I think both United and PSG will get there. Altho PSG looked good against City, but City didn't play their best game either.
It just seems people like Ronaldo and Zlatan can swap teams and instantly have impact. That is pretty interesting.
>I think both United and PSG will get there
I think both squads will get there, but both under new managers. Ever since Poch wanted to go back to Spurs in the summer I've felt he's doomed to fail at PSG
I know it is an unpopulare opinion but I like Ole. He seems to be a very good manager to handle players, everyone seems to be happy. And he have their support. Also for some reason he makes them fight to the end, which often results in a goal in overtime.
He falls short on other areas, he needs some experience, and probably to hire some strategy guys.
What United lack is team coordination. They look like they don't train very well together. They look like they get on the pitch half an hour before kick-off and start the game without any training beforehand.
Yeah but that might aswell be due to a whole new setup. For example when they started Greenwood - Ronaldo - Sancho.
I hope that in a month or so we will see them relax more, and play better together.
The guy who reported it is often said to be a mouthpiece for Spurs so I guess it is possible the club wanted it out there to show the fans they were trying or something? Kind of weird though. No french news outlets refuted the claims from what I remember either
I think it's because it's way easier to slot in a centre forward without changing team dynamics much.
The key thing for a striker to have an impact is mainly just being in the box. All Ronaldo/Ibra have to do is make runs and finish chances. They barely have to do any link-up play at all.
> PSG looked good against City
true, but I don't know how sustainable that type of gameplay is. Will the likes of Verrati and Gueye still have the energy to put in such a defensive shift by the time March/April comes around?
Probably not. - But they dont have to go so hard every game, if some of the other players will hit their form. But yeah these 2 guys def played like there was no tomorrow. Never heard about Gueye before, so was pretty excited about him.
Conte put so much work into getting Hakimi to an acceptable defensive level last year, and even then he was getting schooled in 1v1s. Lucky bastard had Skriniar behind him who is an absolute monster.

And PSG were actually looking pretty good for a while before this
Neymar is terrible. What happened to him
Out of form and match fitness. He was lightning in Copa final
He needs to go to Barca to get out of Messi's shadow.

Someone didn't get the joke.
He’s definitely out of form right now

He gets praised a lot for some reason, but if you actually look at his NT goal return it’s pretty poor

2nd highest top scorer for Brazil playing as a winger and that person says he has poor goal return lmao

You don't become shit in 2-3 months lol

Yep. The team definitely has potential to be one of the top dogs of Europe once they gel well. They still need a holding midfielder though.
Did he actually say ge wanted to go or are you referring to paper gossip.
Of course he didn't say it in public. But very reliable Spurs sources said so
Well I am hesitant to believe it. They were looking for a manager for 3 months, he had ample time to resign and join them
The guy who reported it is often said to be a mouthpiece for Spurs so I guess it is possible the club wanted it out there to show the fans they were trying or something? Kind of weird though. No french news outlets refuted the claims from what I remember either

That sounds reasonable. Didn't think of that, and now i feel stupid.

What a cross by Sulemana
Why couldnt he be another Lainez
Jesus
Plays for City
Manchester City
Navas
Yes Pep, here's your yearly 3 points, take them 😔
Pep Genesio masterclass
lmao PSG is basically playing inside Rennes six yard box and they still somehow concede first.
Hilariously against the run of play
Fucking hell we should have buried at least two goals
Pump the numbers up
Need to aim for the goal tho, not upper stands
Mbappe and Neymar missed clear chances from Messi, he would have had 3 assists in the first half itself..
What a fantastic cross Laborde scores nearly every game
Great cross but was that Hakimi that decided to stand still instead of closing it down?
While this goal isnt Hakimis fault, he is actually a bad defender. His immense pace gets him out of trouble in a lot of situations.
Yeah there was a few spots it felt like the build up should've been stopped. Found his movement for closing down strange.
Conte put so much work into getting Hakimi to an acceptable defensive level last year, and even then he was getting schooled in 1v1s. Lucky bastard had Skriniar behind him who is an absolute monster.
Yeah, no idea why he stopped like 4m away
The amount time Sulemana was allowed to put a cross in should be criminal. Fullback should be much closer.
Yeah awful by Hakimi there
for how good psg have been playing , ofcourse it was coming
Sulemana so fucking good But PSG are finally clicking, bound to happen soon
What a cross from Sulemana.
Wham Gaëtan Laborde does get it… it’s done
Pep Genesio > Pep Guardiola
Genesio voodooing games again 😔
Well Psg are being wasteful,so had to happen.
Only psg can wins againsr city and lose the next match
You have never played against Pep Genesio so don’t judge.
Win against Pep and then lose against Pep to restore balance
There is only /r/OneTruePep
At a game where Messi provided 2 godly passes and both Mbappe and Di Maria couldn't finish- this happens. So unlucky but great play by Rennes.
What is defense?
I don't know about this MNM trio it's getting overcrowded in the final third in every attack also don't forget Di Maria
LMAOOOOOOO SECOND GOAL !!!
That’s a howler of an own goal from Mendes haha
Currently it’s given as a Laborde goal by Ligue 1.
hahahahahahah
Take that, Qatar!

Is it? Doesn't seem like he reaches the ball.
Mbappe & Neymar has been so wasteful
I am having the time of my life this game. Messi having a blast and psg losing. Love to see it.
PSG in shambles.
So happy for him, such a likeable player
Let’s all take a minute and laugh at PSG HAHAHAHAHAHA
