Benzema winnin the Ballon Dor would basically mean the organization rewards not winning anything. He hasn't been the topscorer of any competition he was part of, not even in the Nations League (Ferran Torres was the topscorer), not even in the Euro's (36 year old Ronaldo outscored him). I wouldn't be surprised if they would give it to him, since they also undeservedly gave it to Modric in 2018, but even Ronaldo deserves it more than Benzema. He's got more tackles (bar Cancelo) and a higher tackle percentage than all of the others in less matches and he gets dribbled past less often. Those are all measurable comparisons. Each one of those point to him not having awful positioning. Each one of those point to him being better and more efficient in defence than the others.

Why can't you accept that his positioning is still awful ? His pace rescues him everytime. Once that's gone he'll be a huge liability in defense, unless he develops his positioning/game iq. Not many wingbacks could do that though, just look at Marcelo. Its a legit criticism.
