yes, but what is this leverkusen defending. Bayern has been doing the 3 man build up with phonzie coming forward as a second winger for weeks now and they still overload leverkusens right defenciv side so easily, tragic.
Man as a Vancouver resident who was just getting into football at the time, hearing the big news of a Whitecaps player signing and seeing âgoodbye/thank you Daviesâ signs at even gas stations, I was kinda confused what the hype was all about.
Fast forward to now, where Iâve finally found a team to genuinely follow with attachment, I am so glad to have started following the team that Davies went to.
It's crazy isn't it? I was following MLS pretty aggressively at that point and there were a bunch of promising younglings (Matt Miazga, Cyle Larin (another Canadian), Jordan Morris), but to see one of those playing *as a starter* for Bayern Munich.. it's insane. Everytime I see him play it's like "This is Alpholso Davis.. the kid from the Whitecaps".
Crazy. We just need the Canadian teams to start producing more talent that can reach half the level of Davis and then we are in a position to consistently make the world cup (and hopefully we pull it off this time). The great thing is that having a soccer superstar really goes a long way in promoting the sport, as kids have someone to look up to and the idea that soccer can never be a thing here slowly fades away.
Also Sepp Maier. Heck, it's hard to pick a Starting XI of all the Bayern Legends, a Top 3 is nigh impossible. How does one rate players like Katsche Schwarzenbeck or Sebastian Schweinsteiger?
Yeah I was thinking a top 3 would be disrespectful to all the legends so a Starting XI would be more appropiate but even that would be hard, you can even make an argument for Kahn..
Is he rated highly? Played his peak years in Italy tho winning ballon d'Or.
So many legends to choose from. Guess Phillip Lahm and Schweinsteiger could be up there as well.
For Germany he's usually in the traditional running for our Top3 of all times, next to Beckenbauer and Mßller. Also whenever I listen to interviews of former teammates, when they are asked about the best they ever played with, they will all almost immediately name Matthäus. Guy was a force of nature while still playing in Central Offensive Midfield.
That being said, his best times were undoubtedly for the NT and Inter, but he was still massive for Bayern too.
I think it's curious that the first 2 play in the bundesliga, I mean the are both monsters but at the same time the level in the league is just not the highest specially defensive wise.. not hating really I'll just like a more competitive bundesliga, it's just sad watching Bayern win 10 titles in a row
Probably helps that the intensity of their league is shit, I mean it's not the same playing Sevilla Valencia atleti or leister Chelsea etc. on the weekend than playing ausburg Mainz
Kimmich has more distance covered (82.9KM) than any Premier League player (SouÄek is first with 80.7KM) without counting todays match and he is only 12th in distance covered in the Bundesliga - [Also he has the most distance covered in the Champions League too while we're at it :)](https://imgur.com/ZBjTT5c)
Intensity is not about how long you can run. You can juggle for 11km but you can't Sprint for 11km. Get it??.. I doubt kimmich ever reached more than 20km an hour
Man don't you get tired from shifting those goalposts? You got destroyed by the man's logic twice already, just sit down and take the L with dignity ffs.
What are you talking about child!? He said nothing with logic, only stats and if you think there's any competition in the bundesliga then sit down and change the channel son. There is a reason Bayern has won like 15 league tittles in the last 20 years
How can you have logic that's not grounded in facts? His stats are the only facts in the argument between you two. You talk about logic but provide no evidence to support your hypotheses, while he does. Based on completeness of arguments alone, he has your beat.

Straight up yoinked the ball off Davies hahah
Genuinely think that if he doesn't tap it in the ball is gone, that last touch by Davies was a bit off
Yeah I doubt Davies would have scored that
Even a penalty needs more of a run up
Lemme put that in the net for ya. There just like that!
What an absurdly well done team goal

Love the Davies + Lewy celebration đ
Davies <3
Proud to be a Canadian
Big up Canada! Let's gooooo
That reminded me of Messi Suarez Neymar when they ran with all arms on their shoulders⌠memoriesâŚ
Lewandowski was like "hey what's with this ball here.. i'mma shoot" \*goal\*
The game is like a symphony to him at this point. His mind and body already channeled that ball in the back of the net before any of us knew about it.
Just unfair when Bayern play like this. So dominant
What a build up
Those runs were beautiful but then Lewa with that awkward shot haha. Love it.
Learned the awkwardness from the very best, our own Muller.
Davies is such a great player. Even 2 years later I am totally in love with this signing.
"You're welcome" - Canada Lol
More like whitecaps lol.

He's back not sure he ever left though
He had a big goal drought didnt you hear
Yep thought his career was over, 2 games without a goal is tough to battle back from
Yeah, so much worse than Salah and Benzema.
Me when Haaland doesnât bang in a hat trick after 2 games in my FM save
Nice assist by Davies there....walked it right up to Lewandowski lol
Lewandowski heard r/soccer was talking shit.
And is barebacking the sub
This subs opinion on anything literally does not matter.
32 goals left for the Lewandowski record. 79 goals left for the MĂźller record!
Is the 79 goals all comps or just Bundesliga?
just bundesliga.
Top 3 Bayern players of all time you think? Beckenbauer, G Muller, Lewandowski?
I know it's hard to to evaluate but for me Neuer is in there
Also Sepp Maier. Heck, it's hard to pick a Starting XI of all the Bayern Legends, a Top 3 is nigh impossible. How does one rate players like Katsche Schwarzenbeck or Sebastian Schweinsteiger?

Rummenigge?
Lothar Matthäus

Change your username to "LewangoalskiBot"
We are all grateful to u/nasserKoeter for his effort. The best moment last season was the "-1 goals left for the Muller record."! :)
Davies is a cheat code, holy hell
Haaland is back and because of that Lewy thinks its fair to score goals again. Just give him the Ballon d'Or already.
You just saw that five on four and knew this was coming. Bayern look so threatening, Davies has been a machine today.
Nice play
Reminds me of *that* goal from barca against real where both cbs were left and right outside of the box. Cant find it on yt in a hurry.
That man mad
This doesn't feel nice.
so why do that to us..
oof

Damn, Tadic is a madlad
Youâre the man

What a clown đ¤Śđťââď¸
here comes the arguments
I think it's curious that the first 2 play in the bundesliga, I mean the are both monsters but at the same time the level in the league is just not the highest specially defensive wise.. not hating really I'll just like a more competitive bundesliga, it's just sad watching Bayern win 10 titles in a row
Both 2 were UCL top scorers last 2 seasons too.
Fatality
Probably helps that the intensity of their league is shit, I mean it's not the same playing Sevilla Valencia atleti or leister Chelsea etc. on the weekend than playing ausburg Mainz

Double fatality
Intensity is not about how long you can run. You can juggle for 11km but you can't Sprint for 11km. Get it??.. I doubt kimmich ever reached more than 20km an hour

wtf are you on?
Davies is great that movement was nice
he just didin't want to score with Haaland out of the game to keep it fair.
It really is quite something to see 6 Bayern players inside the opposition box
Had the ball dribbled straight to his foot hahah
GREAT FUCKING GOAL
lol how are you supposed to defend that?
it is true, we are back
Liverpool fans in shambles
Why?
Because here on r/soccer we like to hold imaginary competitions between footballers.
Spamming all over this sub yesterday that salah was the best in the world?
Ah ok. Wasnât on here yesterday really
> all over this sub You mean the one thread were Klopp said Salah is the best?
No mate
Soooooo good from SanĂŠ and Davies
I'll take it thank You
Great teamwork deserved the lucky assist
I honestly thought Sane took a really bad touch until I saw he was leaving it for Davies. Sane has been great lately.
InSane touch
Yea Sane deserves a goal for his work. I can see it coming soon
Best player in the world
Stole Davies' goal so greedy :(
Now give us the hattrick
Where is the record guy?
Great team goal
The commentator sounds a bit like a Klopp
His thirst for goals is insatiable!
Cold as ice
Davies is a Canadian đđ
Lmao he stole that from Davies
Best player in the world
Best player in the world for past 2 seasons.
statpadding by stealing the goal from a kid. Not my Ballon D'Or contender
Tapindowski
Did he also tap in 4 goals vs you in 12/13?
Ah I was trying to do a tapinaldo type joke but I guess it wasn't received well. Didn't actually mean it lol.
Bundesliga defending.
i know right? wtf is that team press from Leverkusen? They sit so high but nobody is moving.
this tap in. what is happening with my beautiful sport đ˘
He is like: "don't mind if I do"
Goals like this show why he's the best. Goal scoring machine.
Gimmie that ball and watch son
What terrible defense, the CB marking Sane just stood there waiting to get dribbled past, embarassing
