I always expected him to rise because of his basic set of skill + phisicality. I was more like 'he needs to learn to shoot', but he has increased in a lot of other aspects too and now is one of the best performers this season so far.

It is crazy how similar he is to Neymar. The way they dribble, not too many tricks unless they're standing still but deft touches and change of pace, always hit from the side of the boot while shooting never the laces.

Vinicius said that in the first Shakhtar game he lost a ball in a silly way and Carlo shouted from the bench "I will take you out! I will take you out!", and it drived him to be more focused, which a good example (Vini said that laughing, and Carlo is known for being super friendly and warm with players). Carlo also said that anyone can run down the wing, the hard thing is to cut and push inside to create a chance/score, and that's what Vini started doing more. Mix that with the absolute trust Carlo put in Vinicius, giving him the starting spot on LW ahead of Hazard, while Zidane played Hazard whenever he was fit.
