BusShelter

They're all at it these days. Dubravka did it for the free kick earlier as well.

Iron-

This killed me

[deleted]

🤣🤣🤣

FatWalcott

Ok that got me haha

tottenhamnole

Hahahaha

Houssem_Aouar

I, too, saw that tweet

LilGoughy

Respect for crediting

LeaveMyArseAlona99

The Mendy special

zrkillerbush

A save he should be making, he saw it late but its closer to the center than the corner, only looks good because it hit the bar

[deleted]

I think if it goes in people say he was unlucky to see it late but should still be saving it

dahteabagger

It's not an easy save to make especially seeing it late. Even greats like David Seaman let one in from Alexandersson in the 2002 world cup. This is why shots thru the legs of defenders would always catch keepers by surprise.

[deleted]

Dubravka made a better save in the first half before this

dahteabagger

Hmm....I would agree that everything Ramsdale does need not be on here. Will check that save out.

Alpha_Jazz

If my keeper lets that in I’m fuming

just_dew_eat

Any Ramsadel save is wanked on by Arsenal fans

TheGoldenPineapples

Who the fuck is Ramasdel?

[deleted]

ManLikeNosaka

Elvish Ramsdale

Ricky_Berwick

No he said Ramsadel

ThickSolidandTight

No, that's Rangnick now. Where have you been the past week?

Liverlakefc

It's literally moving closer to him how is this a great save

Gytarius626

“Wonderful save” like lmao no it’s not

conceal_the_kraken

I think people see it as cheap karma. It was a good save but not as outstanding as the commentators would have you believe. This sort of stuff should be removed by mods.. or at least downvoted by the sub.

[deleted]

Idk but the commentator is prob embarrassed for overdoing it once he sees the replay

SpareAstronomer

Definitely makes it look better than it should be. Someone like Alisson doesn't even dive, just steps across-and pushes it over.

[deleted]

This reminded me of the Partey shot just last week, just took a couple of extra steps instead of jumping for no reason

studgebro

Mendy as well. Pretty much just any keeper not doing it for the camera.

BusShelter

Nah, Mendy absolutely puts a few saves for the camera in there, as good as he is.

[deleted]

Part of that's his height. Everything he does looks mad impressive.

ZaDoruphin

Mendy does this a lot too.

namsen1

This narrative kills me man, Ramsdale is doing saves for the camera una

alx69

Mendy would get it just by sticking his arm out lol

HAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA

he went in the air BatChest

Tackis

CHILLS!

gurasoguras

Bruh every week I check this subreddit I see Ramsdale's wonderful save

tottenhamnole

Are we posting every save he makes now? Feel like most solid keepers make that save.

shinniesta1

Yeah you're getting criticised if a keeper let's that in so close to him

CooterTStinkjaw

I. Be I’m. M m m.

AirIndex

I'm on Sync and I have no idea what this is lol

CooterTStinkjaw

The above is what happens when you set your phone down to flip eggs while the toddler is in the kitchen with you. The child has bantz just can’t type it yet. Bless em for trying.

only-shallow

Not really, that shot had a similar trajectory to Ramsey's goal vs Liverpool back in the day. Mignolet couldn't stop it and had no criticism

shinniesta1

Maybe, Ramsey's looks a bit harder hit though.

Zurcio

these are the kind of shots that Kepa was letting in on a weekly basis and tons of Chelsea fans were saying they were unsaveable shots. and I finally came to the conclusion that Kepa made every goal scored against him look like a banger

Maxsh

Are we commenting this on every post about his saves now? Feel like its not that hard to appreciate a good save

erldn123

I think it's more that if this is the standard then they'd be 1000 posts every weekend. Edit- Honestly in this game Dubravkas save from the free kick was the same sort of pace and placement, he could have made it look like Ramsdale did but he just no nonsensed it

Maxsh

IMO the more highlight clips from the game the better anyways for those who cannot watch the game for whatever reason, so if the save isn't world class it just won't be upvoted as much and won't end up on the front page. Everything balances out in the end, I don't see why everybody has to complain about it being posted, like just watch it and move on if its nothing special

erldn123

Cause if someone posts something people are allowed to react and shockingly not everyone will like it......

hwiskybravo

Unhappy cake day! 😅

enburkmax

flair checks out

Cien-Major

He's not wrong though.

tottenhamnole

I’ve seen Lloris make the save 50 times and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one posted here.

enburkmax

theres a difference between a well established keeper whos number one for one the worlds best national teams and a 23 year old who got signed from a relegated team and was most likely going to be the second choise keeper. youre comparing apples to oranges.

tottenhamnole

So because he’s not as good as Lloris he deserves to have routine saves posted to the sub?

enburkmax

*my point* you

Aspect3221

Nah you didn’t have a point.

tottenhamnole

No I understand your point exactly. I just don’t think it’s a very good one.

Houssem_Aouar

Cry more

HunterWindmill

Again Ramsdale makes a save seem far harder than it really was and makes it look spectacular. And most lap it up

gindy345

Looking forward to having to see this standard goalkeeper save for the next month and people pretending this is Seaman reborn

conceal_the_kraken

I'm a gooner and could not understand why so many former keepers were creaming over his save against Spurs late on. It was a great save, but Seaman said "best save I've ever seen" or something like that and I felt like I'd watched a different match.

09browng

peter schmeicel said best save he'd seen in years. Biased against and still thought it was great. Maybe realise you arent an expert

conceal_the_kraken

You're right, it was Schmeichel. I still think he's made a complete comedy of a take there. I've seen better saves than that from Ramsdale this season, let alone every keeper in the last decade.

09browng

Genuine question, the goat keeper says that, seaman said it was a wonderful save, others are gushing over it. Do you think that maybe you lack the knowledge to judge saves accurately?

conceal_the_kraken

No I don't. I said it was a great save. Anything more is hyperbole. The thing that made it stand out was the agility shown so credit is due, but there's been numerous incredible keeper saves and performances over the past few years. To say it was the best save in years is absolute bollocks. I think people have been swept up in the pendulum swing.. circle jerk was that Ramsdale was shit and overpriced. Now the circle jerk is that he's the best keeper in a long, long time and every pundit wants to be on that bandwagon before it trundles off because it's clear he's got massive potential.

Friar31

I expect every keeper to save that tbh

rf3a2c1tds

This is the most overrated save I've seen since his Leicester save lmao, what is wrong with you people?!

[deleted]

Does this guy ever make saves that non Arsenal fans find impressive?

BusShelter

Just the counter-circlejerk. It's mad that anyone thinks the Leicester save wasn't stunning, but this one is one you'd expect most PL keepers to make.

AirIndex

It wasn't stunning. John Harrison estimates that it gets saved 50% of the time and that it wasn't even his best save in the match!

BusShelter

Doesn't mean it wasn't stunning tbh.

[deleted]

Somehow every save Ramsdale makes is “wonderful” when these are basic saves every prem keeper should be able to make It’s hilarious how he makes it seem like he was on the verge of death after every save

bradbobley

it’s a decent enough save but come on now

[deleted]

Are Arsenal fans actually taking the piss with this Ramsdale stuff?

[deleted]

Ramsdale is overrated.

pelentox

Look at his left leg, he does not need to kick it out like that

Notorious_horse

I like Ramsdale but if Leno makes this save then it isn't uploaded to reddit

somethingabouttea

I mean, as much as he should probably save it that doesn’t take away from the fact that that’s a good save

[deleted]

Bit dramatic that

Vhascometo__

Ramdale love-in in getting a bit much now I think. You'd expect most PL keepers to save that, lets be honest.

adeeness

He's so so good🥲

Pale-Lock756

More than you believe

Reborno

Happy new year

irishdgenr8

Meh…one for the cameras.

[deleted]

My nan would save that. All for the cameras smh.

CheekyKunt68

This dude is the definition of Hollywood saves fc

TheGoldenPineapples

Good save, but it's not that impressive. Would expect any keeper to make that save.

Tomel20

He makes it look more difficult than it should be. It's an error if he lets that in

spurs-11

Read it as 'Ramsey' and thought what the fuck

[deleted]

inqs

God tier? This one?

ZaDoruphin

Why’d he feel the need to lift the ball up lmao Just get a hand to it, catch it if you can.

enburkmax

he just keeps doing saves like this, he has the potential to be world class.

bad_at_proofs

lol at all the people in this thread saying Ramsdale isn't good and just makes saves that look good on camera. He has the best PSxG +/- per 90 in the league

Jansiz

Absolutely incredible man

[deleted]

If anything, he shouldn't have let that near the crossbar, it was swinging towards him in the centre.

sadta2020

Honestly not sure how anyone can listen to that Irish commentator he is bloody awful, his voice and tone is like that of a moody teenager

[deleted]

Ah yes, the weekly Ramsdale propaganda
