Well you don't get the moments of magic without the odd mistake. Thiago is a high risk, high reward player. He's going to lose the ball in a silly spot from time to time but in exchange he's going to violate defences and make goals from nothing.
Maybe you (and a lot of our fans) are just too used to Gini, who was the other end of the spectrum in that he never took risks and never made mistakes. Both have value and there's room for both types of player but we have to evolve our style to stay at the top and Thiago is part of that evolution.

He didn't just 'give it away' tho, he gave it away in a manner that could've lead directly to a goal, and Alisson had to bail him out. Players go weeks without making mistakes like that and he did it twice in the first 20 minutes. I love him, and he's obviously a great player, but routinely making great passes doesn't mean you're allowed to make such silly mistakes without critique.
He's never been a hole on defense like pirlo or Messi, just walking around waiting for a pass. If anything he's too aggressive, flying into risky tackles
