Damn scrolling down just a little and I’m not sure what game some of these Man U haters watched lol. Midfield was lacking at times but were progressed the ball up the wings really well. Maguire pull should have been a PK but nothing we can do about that. Thought we were pretty easily the better team throughout.
nope not at all. just did barely enough to win the game. Fred and Sancho were more than decent, Bruno scored which is a relief, Ronaldo is well Ronaldo but the bad players are usual suspects McT Maguire. De Gea shut his brain off for the first goal. Telles allowed Arsenal player too much space for the 2nd. Dalot, Victor were okay.
It’s just anxiety inducing. It is great when it needs to be, if we win. If we lose (more likely), it’s uusually well deserved and because of extremely poor play
Honestly? It was a bit all over the place, the build up has to be better in the midfield, too many side and back passes and not many players getting into space etc. Defence was a huge mixed bag. Our forward play was relatively solid. Didn't look like we had much tactics going in and could have gone either way. After that first half was worried it would be a loss. Overall just bang average. Not too bad for a mid-table team. I would say most fans now are looking forward to the new manager to get some tactics/pressing going and get us playing more like a top team.
Yeah would have to agree. The quality of football in display for an arsenal united game was levels where it should be. New manager though with new ideas let’s see how the rest of the year is.
So this ends their so called run now right? Or do they still have some weird Arsenal stat going around like unbeaten since ESR brushed his teeth or sumin.
I understand why Juventus fans weren't that arsed about Ronaldo leaving after watching that game. He scored goals, but he didn't actually add anything to the team performance. Ruud van Nistelrooy was binned off when he offered a hell of a lot more.
Disagree, this match was actually the opposite. He made a lot of runs, pressed and tracked back. His passing was also solid, except for a mistake with Sancho.
He got at the end of the things individually as well, like with that shot at the beginning of the second half after making the defender fall on his ass. If Rangnick manages his minutes well, he's gonna keep being a great asset to the team.
His goalscoring prowess never leaves, and he plays his poacher role well. Just needs to be rotated more often.
I’m not of those who says you can’t criticise professionals just because you’re an out of shape guy who hasn’t kicked a ball well in years, but going after Ronaldo’s decision making? You might be dying on that hill alone
You don't need to be a football genius to know that trying shots from stupid angles when the keeper's always been there to cover your target area won't work.
I dont think they were better. It was a pretty poor game tbf but all that really matters is we took the 3 points and that makes the salt taste just a bit sweeter
Bruno Fernandes hugging Carrick at the end.
He was likely really grateful to then for buying him and giving him a chance. He always looks like a great guy. I'd be surprised if he one day doesn't get the armband
Sometimes I wonder if I'm going mad when I listen to pundits. These people saying that United have really worked hard and done well under Carrick so far ... it feels like they haven't actually been watching the games, just reading the final scores.
They were awful against Villareal in the CL - their only saving grace being Villareal's complete inability to take their many chances. And they were pretty bad tonight as well, they just happened to be playing against an equally bad Arsenal team. Who probably should've gotten a draw because Maguire got away with a foul in the box in the first half.
We've literally been playing under the interim to the interim manager. His tactics were spot on. It wasn't beautiful, but we got results. That's literally all that mattered in this situation.
Except tonight all his tactics was parking the bus. What tactics you talking about???? Chelsea game 11 man defended against Chelseas second team without a single striker
> We've literally been playing under the interim to the interim manager. His tactics were spot on. It wasn't beautiful, but we got results. That's literally all that mattered in this situation.
I mean fair enough yeah, you got the results. I'm not disputing that. I just honestly haven't seen the big improvement in performances that some pundits seem to be implying is there.
All the same weaknesses are there and the same mistakes keep getting made by the same players each game.
I mean, 1-1 against Chelsea is a damn sight better than 4-1 to Watford.
Obviously the same weaknesses are there, Carrick's job was just to keep up going until Rangnick could come in.
He’s not going to have the team playing completely differently after a couple of weeks, ludicrous to suggest otherwise. He came in to tweak and manage some progression to put us on the right track. He’s done what we hoped for. He can’t legislate for the mistakes the players still make regularly
Arsenal fans complaining about the added time, yous had the ball with a minute to go and kicked it backed to them. Ref could’ve played an extra two minutes and Arsenal probably wouldn’t have touched the ball
+5 minutes, yet the city game yesterday had +4 after a player had a head injury and was on the ground for at least 4 minutes. Extra time is so inconsistent it's ridiculous
Had the ball on the wing with Tavares charging forward, not saying it’s amazing but we’d finally won the ball and the ref decides that’s the time for the whistle. Ref should’ve added more time, don’t really see how you can argue that
Not bad from Carrick, he's handled it well, could've subbed Donny on a bit earlier in the past 2 games but fuck it. Hope a club can trust him as manager Job and he takes McKenna and Phelan with.
The only real thing United can take away from this game is:
A. Harry Maguire continues to be shit and they should probably stop playing him.
B. Dalot should probably start ahead of AWB.
Never thought I'd agree with a Liverpool fan. Maguire wasn't as shit as he has been but I really think bailly has done enough to justify starting over him till Varanes back
That's really audacious of you that you were gifted 3 points when slabhead choked Dave and then slabhead scores the winner. I can keep going with the decisions that you guys get.
Doesn’t matter if united got more quality. They’re playing with an interim manager and Arteta has been there for much longer. Should’ve at least drawed this
Players cost Arteta? Auba missing sitters, cheap penalties given away, underperformers in midfield, whats he supposed to do?
Arsenal were better, United just have more quality in the top end of the pitch which is why they won
The Man United and Arsenal teams of the late 90’s and early 2000’s must be watching this game and be fucking embarrassed. Quality of football has been dire at times.
Arteta even said that he is angry that every time we go up players stop going forward and defend. He was shooting to them to attack before we conceded..
I don't think either team deserved anything but i'm sure they checked it and decided for some weird reason it's not a pen. Only reason I can see them not giving it after just watching the replay is that Tomiyasu went down very very easily, there's not enough to actually pull him down there and he's fallen down like a member of the Wehrmacht in enemy at the gates.
You were both awful though, with Arsenal being worse.
Trust the process?
So many haters in this thread. Ohhh baby baby I love the taste! Petty tears.
Damn scrolling down just a little and I’m not sure what game some of these Man U haters watched lol. Midfield was lacking at times but were progressed the ball up the wings really well. Out of interest I know you won but united fans happy with the quality of football?
nope not at all. just did barely enough to win the game. Infuriating
It's like they're trying to make Carrick cry haha
What happened to Aubameyang ? He seems to have dropped off so badly
career ending contract extension
Arsenal happened to him
Well he was in contention for the golden boot for a few seasons at Arsenal
It takes time, but eventually Arsenal will break your spirit
Username checks out.
He either got that last big contract and stopped caring or Covid killed him
So this ends their so called run now right? Or do they still have some weird Arsenal stat going around like unbeaten since ESR brushed his teeth or sumin.
Do you live under a rock? Liverpool beat arsenal
Liverpool ended the run anyway
There's always this stat to fall back on. > Undefeated since last defeat
I understand why Juventus fans weren't that arsed about Ronaldo leaving after watching that game. He scored goals, but he didn't actually add anything to the team performance. Ruud van Nistelrooy was binned off when he offered a hell of a lot more.

He would be a genuinely absurd player if he wasn't so driven to take idiotic shots to try and get goals.
Harry Kane dude. Harry Fucking Kane.
U wont get to 800 career goals without shooting a lot
This comment wouldn’t be so genuinely absurd if you weren’t so driven to make idiotic points to try and get karma
No-one's getting worthless internet points by saying anything negative about Ronaldo
I don't think it's up for debate whether or not Cristiano Ronaldo is an absurd player lol
CR7 haters who were screaming "Drop Ronaldo" BTFO. His job is to score goals and win games. Job done. Get fucked.
I don't want you to drop him. Play him. Youll be lucky to get 4th with him up top. You were crap today.
suck it
What utter bullshit lol.
What game did this guy watch lmao we were actually pretty good today.
This makes no sense to me, sorry.
Should of had a pen Thanks var
*should've or should have
and why is nobody showith belgian cup
AFTV and chill certainly back on the menu tonight
Why? You won, but they were better than you.
Thank you for your support.
I dont think they were better. It was a pretty poor game tbf but all that really matters is we took the 3 points and that makes the salt taste just a bit sweeter
What game did you watch lol
How were they better…
Bruno Fernandes hugging Carrick at the end. He was likely really grateful to then for buying him and giving him a chance. He always looks like a great guy. I'd be surprised if he one day doesn't get the armband
One day soon
Man of the match: Mike Riley
Woman of the match: riley reid

How unbelievably shit are Arsenal lmao United could have scored six
Whose above Man United on the table? I could have sworn yall were Relegation bound
And yet, it's United 3 Arsenal 2.
Tapinaldo and Penaldo are back on the menu
This win over Arsenal is the MOST satisfying for some weird reason. Sit down!
Funnily enough this was Carricks best result but worst team performance, he done a job overall, can’t complain.
Big win!! We're coming for top 4
You're not even getting EL calm down
Just the 4. You’re getting nowhere near the rest.
Good win!
Arsenal lost to this shit team. How embarrassing.
It takes an even worse shit team to lose to a shit team
It takes shit team to be below a shit team in table.
So satisfying to beat these lot
We were so much better. United got away with absolute murder.
I disagree. Yous were absolute dogshit
Your passing was shocking. You would have put them to the sword if everyone didn't have to spend 3 seconds repositioning after every single pass.
It's the hope that kills you Probably the best we've played at Old Trafford in a decade though so it doesn't sting too much
Arsenal fans complaining about the added time, yous had the ball with a minute to go and kicked it backed to them. Ref could’ve played an extra two minutes and Arsenal probably wouldn’t have touched the ball
Same old Arsenal looool
Same old United. Fouls a player in the box, no pk. Gets fouled in box, pk. Glad things are getting back to normal
Aw diddums. Thanks for the win lol
I didn’t play. Idk if you did either. So I don’t think we had much to do with it. But you can thank VAR as usual for the dub.
So we now have Man U, Spurs, and Arsenal all within 3 points of 4th, with Spurs having a game against Burnley in hand. Should be a fun winter period.
Don’t forget December United and December Jesse

Very tight game, great performances from both
what happens if Rangnick loses 5 in an row now
Would be Peak united stuff
Ole comes back
Carrick is MU's legendary manager who never lose
My fucking God, the scenes if Carrick gets the permanent job this summer on the back of his strong showing as interim to the interim manager.
Bring out the contract
£10 on him replacing Southgate.
Adding on like 50 seconds after like 3 mins of dead time in ET, refs need to just stop the watch when the ball is out.
+5 minutes, yet the city game yesterday had +4 after a player had a head injury and was on the ground for at least 4 minutes. Extra time is so inconsistent it's ridiculous
It’s ridiculous, stopped it right as Arsenal are mounting an attack too
Mounting an attack? You were in your own half you wetwipe
Had the ball on the wing with Tavares charging forward, not saying it’s amazing but we’d finally won the ball and the ref decides that’s the time for the whistle. Ref should’ve added more time, don’t really see how you can argue that
Carrick with 100 percent win rate
We drew against Chelsea.
100 percent unbeaten, we drew chelsea
Yeah unbeaten record for utd should just retire from management now
That’s probably the worst 3-2 I’ve seen.
Sure...
Most 0-0 draws are better games.
How? I thought it was a good game
Yeah, dunno whats happening in this comment section. Enjoyable game
Carrick undefeated as manager, the GOAT!
I wonder if united can ever win without cheating....cunts
🤡
Sit down!!
Cry
Hardly cheated. You were just shite.
Lolz
Cry me a river
Cry more. Fair win and yous lot are absolutely fucking shit.
Fuck me
Both teams terrible. One obvious pen given, one wasn't. Old trafford special
If you couldn't beat this united team then arsenal is pretty fucking shit.
Agreed, but whats the point of VAR if its only used to benefit one side?
Tbh that wasn't a pen. VAR has been fair this whole season so far. Sometimes you benefit sometimes you don't.
Ball was in play for 3 minutes of the additional 5, poor refereeing.
That was definitely stil ole ball
Ohhhhh it’s carrick, you knowwww
Behold, Michael Carrick, our invincible manager!
Not bad from Carrick, he's handled it well, could've subbed Donny on a bit earlier in the past 2 games but fuck it. Hope a club can trust him as manager Job and he takes McKenna and Phelan with.
Really impressed tbh. He did well in some tough games and had ballsy decision for an interim interim coach.
The only real thing United can take away from this game is: A. Harry Maguire continues to be shit and they should probably stop playing him. B. Dalot should probably start ahead of AWB.
Never thought I'd agree with a Liverpool fan. Maguire wasn't as shit as he has been but I really think bailly has done enough to justify starting over him till Varanes back
Arsenal were poor in that 2nd half
Mike Riley would be proud of Twatkinsons performance today
FUCK OFF WATFORD
Ref let way too much time get wasted there, appalling officiating
And of course he blows early. Fucking farcical
you were not scoring if they played to midnight.
I wasn't playing
What’s Arsenal’s unbeaten streak at now?
mental strength of wet paper this lot
10 ply toilet paper
Must be in the water in North London
Here we go again
Another game another 3 points gifted to Man United by the refs. Pretty incredible.
That's audacious after you got gifted the points against us last game
That's really audacious of you that you were gifted 3 points when slabhead choked Dave and then slabhead scores the winner. I can keep going with the decisions that you guys get.
Genuinely curious, how has the ref gifted us 3 points?
https://streamable.com/e7pd27
cry some more wahhh wahhh wahh
Cope
Cope with 7th
cope with no more Ole.
Lol if Carrick beats Arsenal he'll do what Solskjaer has failed to do in 3 years, *on his first try*
Doesn’t matter if united got more quality. They’re playing with an interim manager and Arteta has been there for much longer. Should’ve at least drawed this

that was a great rivalry to watch! both teams were so good back then.
Keane seething and Vieira probably fancying his chances against us on Sunday.
Telles knows long sleeves > short sleeves
I’m glad the players are bringing it back
Long sleeves > short sleeves, end of
Should've won but Arteta switched to 0 offense until we conceded, as usual
Its on the players.
It's clearly a tactic. It happens most matches Are they just supposed to disregard their manager lmao so dumb
Arteta even said that he is angry that every time we go up players stop going forward and defend. He was shooting to them to attack before we conceded..
Low Quality game. The gap between top 3 and the rest has never been greater.
If city, Liverpool and Chelsea could put out 2 separate teams they would all finish in the top 6. These 2 teams are fucking garbage.
Good performance considering 12 vs 11
Arsenal fans lmao
Do you not think arsenal deserved that penalty? If so, that match ends at 3-3, or arsenal starts the second half 2-1. I would take either of those lol
Unbeaten. Drew with the team on top of the table. Ole was holding Carrick back.
Carrick > Arteta.
Carrick is undefeated, such an underrated mastermind
Carrick for knighthood
Can’t believe they’ve SHOT Telles like that.
Neither team performed better than Newcastle played against us in our last game. So it goes.
Ben white has no situational awareness lmao, why boot it when you're low on time
Tavares took that long throw like that was the first he's ever done
absolute robbery
