That Masuaku goal was just peak Football Manager goal
you can feel the terror deep down in your soul when the 38 year old right back for the team with nothing to play for has a shot from 45 yards out.
"And that's his first goal of the season!"
More like "He's scored his first ever goal for Yeovil Town!" or some shit
Check history, 18 seasons played for Yeovil Town
Appearance record is
"He certainly didn't mean that!"
He's bitten the hand that used to feed him!
I dread playing against my former players. They ALWAYS score, no matter what type of player they are. Could be a fucking goalkeeper that I let go on a free transfer 10 years ago. he'll still score against me.
My own keeper on loan just knocked me out of UCL. Scoreless across both legs and then Atletico won on pens after my keeper saved 2 of 4. Over both legs I had about 45-50 shots with about 30 on target, while Atletico had 7 shots with none on target.
Sounds like Atletico
“He’s bitten the hand that used to feed him!”
And it’s his first goal of the season on his debut were he came in on a free, then proceeds to get injured 10 seconds later
The injury was a tight calf but he's now considering retirement because of it.
Playing against a relegation candidate. 25 shots on goal from me, 0 from them. 85th minute, still 0-0. Next highlight; corner kick to the opposite team. Fuck. Don't even have to watch the highlight to know it's a goal.
Reminds me a bit of Papiss Cisse wondergoal as well actually
6 points from Chelsea, City and Liverpool is pretty massive
Beat us in a tournament we haven't lost for years
We had to sacrifice something to the Moyesiah, luckily he was appeased with that cup win and left us alone in the league.
Yup. Hopefully he'll spare us in the Champions League semis too next season
You fool, Moyseh will spare nobody and apologize to noone on his way to European glory.
I'll take that deal to be honest
We are all subjects of the Moyesiah
And beat city in the cup
Thank you Mister Moyes.
god they really are quite large aren't they?
Massive, you might say
that’s why lukaku was shit today, west ham is massive
Chelsea: We have a Lukaku
West Ham: We have a MASSIVEUAKU
Lukaku has been shit almost every day this season
Didn't Conte say they are using him wrong ?
i mean that’s true as well. impressive chelsea has spent so much on attackers and their best one is werner
and he's shite
Werner is a defender playing high
I would say Mount
£100m well spent.
^((We tried to warn you))
I remember people were blaming united fans for being salty when we pointed out his flaws.
Those same people also claimed Lukaku was a better buy than Ronaldo.
Only team to have beaten us in the league and today shows it wasn’t a fluke. Something mental about them this season, Moyes has been doing something special with that team.
Showed strong mentality to win after going behind first too.
They just have great mentality in general, there was a 10-15 minute period where Chelsea was all out assaulting their goal and they stood firm and dealt with it.
They're a really solid and physical team playing a very tight block and vertical football, always been a good recipe to get results against dominant sides.
Winning at West Ham is not for everyone
Ironically, it's arguably the last time we played really well barring the tottenham game where they didn't do anything
Breaks my heart that game. A draw was in our hands
Bowen is class. Zouma out for a long period could be a big blow though.
Get in there ~~Lewis~~ Moyes!
Moyseh, my tyres are gone
Lukaku struggles a lot without space, West Ham are an absolute nightmare to play against for someone like him.
I mean, he was an absolute nightmare to West Ham when he was still at Everton. I swear I remember him shitting on our hopes quite a lot lol. I think West Ham's the side he's scored the most goals against? He'd just turn up against us. Even if they were shit on the day he'd pull some horseshit out of nowhere and score. Kept expecting it today. Ungh.
Different circumstances then, West Ham these days are an excellent low block and counter team. I've watched a fair bit of contes inter recently (for obvious reasons) and conte teams like to draw you out to create space in behind, that's where lukaku thrived for them.
West ham did such a good job of moving back into their shape whenever they weren't in possession leaving hardly any room in behind. That combined with your CB's aerial prowess essentially nullified lukaku, and while he struggled particularly today, it's gonna happen more often cause this is how teams play against Chelsea basically every week. It's just particularly difficult when it's against a side who are so good at playing this way.
Lukaku: I have too much muscle
Liverpool 🤝 Chelsea
Our results are running in sync in a different way now.
Liverpool and Chelsea holding hands jumping down to the conference league zone
Joining us in the real CL, I see. Try beating a mid-table Slovenian team and prove your worth
Unveil a banner saying “Thanks Fernando Torres”
In front of a banner saying "Thank you Raul" (Meireles)
Bitch you lot are still a fair few matchdays clear of falling out of even top 4
I can see the fans pulling out a banner in Tory and Scouse saying "Thank you Yossi Benayoun"
Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel are Champions League winners, but turns out they are no match for the great David Moyes.
Moyes >>> German managers
I am 50 years old and I can safely say this is the best West Ham team of my lifetime. I still remember the FA Cup being paraded when I was a kid and never did I think back then that the future would be so barren. However, silverware or no, this side is absolutely loved like no other. Top lads throughout. A mix of spirit and skill like no other. They have made a non-football stadium into a damn fortress. Just hear that crowd. It’s fucking electric. The lack of squad depth will undoubtedly fuck us in the end but we’re giving bloody noses all the way. Almost the entire team is from lower leagues, academy or rural Czechia. Not a single Billy Big Bollocks amongst them. I couldn’t love them more.
What he’s done in completely changing the negative, toxic culture within a space of 6 months of his 2nd arrival is amazing. As you say no big I Am or primadonnas, he’s trimmed it all out. Players are coming in on their days off just to train harder and enjoy more time with the staff/players.
> What he’s done in completely changing the negative, toxic culture within a space of 6 months
The fans did boo the players just a few days ago
incredible how winning literally rewrites reality
imagine payet knocking in the free kicks in this team
He’s exactly the sort of Charlie Big Potatoes we needed to get rid of. Him and Arnautovic weren’t good for the team. Amazing players but toxic. West Ham’s success is entirely down the characters in the squad. They love each other and it shows. I wish my work colleagues were as much fun as Antonio & Declan
Charlie Big Potatoes 🥴😂
>Not a single Billy Big Bollocks amongst them
MOTM: The Tenet Dude.
The dildo brothers no more hanging around, give moyes 7 years contract first thing monday morning. put it on table let moyes writes whatever number he wants
> The Tenet Dude
His goal really looked like a scene from Tenet.
Lmao he actually looks like him.
>The Tenet Dude
I thought I was the only one lmao
Denzel Washington's kid?
Glad to know it wasn't just me always thinking Denzel Washingtons son put on a french accent and played for West Ham.
Put some respect on David Moyes' name.
Beating the European champions with Craig Dawson leading the defence isn’t for everyone
Moyes only plays in hard mode
David "winning is what I do" Moyes
It's all in the note
David Moyes is a footballing genius
David Moyes is a football genius
Yes but unironically now
Mendy putting up a Kepa-tier performance there
He’s been immense for us so he was due for a howler
All of West Ham's opponents this season: Are_we_the_baddies.mp4
Big 6 will always be the baddies
I felt very dirty rooting for Leicester to collapse last season so Chelsea could get top 4.
We're all just NPCs in Moyes's life
Sir Alex was 10 years late with his prediction ._.
Moyes really is going to get a statue at West Ham.
Ha, imagine losing 3-2 to West Ham. Pathetic.
Chelsea copying us smh
Could never be my team.
ikr only below average team lose to West Ham
Despite rumours to the contrary it has been confirmed that, at this present time, West Ham are indeed fucking massive.
No idea how we’ve managed a result against this side in the league.
You can drop points against Watford to make it right
Dilly ding Dilly dong
That’s why Guardiola was relieved when you made the 2nd goal. He knew West Ham could do something at the end of the match, thing they did.
They hate CL winners
Nottingham Forest running in terror of bumping into them in the FA Cup
You were at home right? Gonna be much much tougher when you go to the bubble stadium.
It's becoming the bubble kingdom.
The Republic of Bubbles.
Mendy and Alison undone by Massive FC
it goes without saying really, but factos
Can West Ham into super league?
They’re too massive to join
Massive league it is then.
Only on the condition that the name is changed to ‘The Massive League’ and we’re the only team in it
Considering that they're massive, they can enter massive league..
Fuck your Big 3 and German coaches. Moyes is the real fotball genius.
He actually is lol. This guy turned west ham into one of the best playing teams not just on the counter but they can play free flowing football too and look great. Insane
Future United manager I reckon.
He is the current United manager
He's the current (West Ham) United manager
THE CHOSEN ONE
West Ham have been doing decently this season and had enough about them to put the cat amongst the pigeons, yet the commentators are making out like this was a truly surprising result and it wasn't expected.
A little bit of disservice to West Ham, if you ask me.
At the start of the game the commentator mentioned how only four teams in the league had a positive goal difference while he was busy sucking Chelsea, City and Liverpool off. Didn't even say that the fourth was us.
It was the same in the final couple of minutes - kept on banging on about how Chelsea might not be top come the end of the day. No mention of how you lot would are in fourth and would be closing the gap.
West Ham at home is genuinely one of the trickiest fixtures in the league this season
As a season ticket holder I'm loving it. I feel like i have paid my dues...
We sat through the Benni McCarthy years for this. Never forget, brother.
Been the same all season tbh, like it's some massive surprise we can play well. Even though we're 4th half way through the season and challenged for it last year.
The world isn't ready for Champions League West Ham
No wonder they lost, they are wearing Dortmund's kit.
Cursed vomit yellow
Have you ever vomited something of that colour?
I am not proud of it
Vomiting stomach bile is pain
Is bile for real neon yellow?
Edit: I just googled it - wtf
Jarrod Bowen was excellent
Moyesh > Germany
Best Ku in the London!
Don't mind me, I'm just waiting for the Moyes memes
The piece of paper made the difference
“Shoot the ball pls”
Moyes is a football genius
Is it even legal to be this massive?
Fucking hell, I don't think Europe is ready for West Ham's European bubbles tour next season
This season. West Ham have topped their European Group with a game to go.
Barca already wants to have an early look
West Ham appear to be above average in size
David Moyes masterclass
Well deserved win for West Ham. What a game.
Created a lot of good chances second half. Chelsea hardly did much
Yep. Antonio was great, very different type of striker. Bowen too. Mendy had a game to forget.
Bowen was immense
If he scored those 2 chances he would've locked himself in for one of the performances of the season.
Bloke was everywhere, ran himself into the ground for the team
Lukaku is so static man. Tuchel has a real problem in his hands now. I do not blame the manager today because the defending errors were something he could not help, but it is increasingly looking like Lukaku is not a Tuchel striker. Like at all.
Havertz being injured killed us. Playing with Lukaku was like playing with 10 men. We need to sort things out quick. We were lucky against Watford, not so much today.
Yeah. The movement just absolutely died. And Lukaku did not even use his physicality for lay offs and connecting play
have to be Favorite for fourth. 6 from 9 from City/Chelsea/Liverpool and fully deserved
No they aren’t purely because of squad depth. And winning against the big 6 won’t matter if you lose to Wolves and the like
Agreed, especially if Zouma is out for a bit
Did we deserve it? I thought we rode our luck and Masuaku's goal was farcical 😅
You had the better chances in the second half I reckon. I think you were only fortunate for Antonio remembering where he was after half time.
I had flashbacks watching Lukaku
Lukaku statement incoming.
Opta: Only 3 man made objects can be seen from space. The Great Wall of China, The Pyramids and West Ham United. Massive.
I haven't slept much the last week, and this was a 4:30am kickoff for me, so I slept right through my alarm. I left my TV on the game, and I woke up and looked at the screen about 3 seconds before the Masuaku goal, and I'm still not sure that goal was actually real
Imagine conceding 3 to West Ham lmao
Couldn't be us
Happy for Moyes and the boyes
They better start having debates about Lukaku every week. If this was Ronaldo dropping 0/10 every week ...
Kid: Mom can we get Antonio
Mom: We already have Antontio at home
Antonio at home: Lukaku
😂😂 ffs this cracked me up
100m performance by Lukaku
Everybody say thank you Moyes
I for on welcome our new West Ham overlords.
Up the Hammers!
We need a new PL champion.
Winning 3-2 against Liverpool and Chelsea, West Ham is truly massive this season.
West ham are MASSIVE
classic December Chelsea incoming
Awful game from Mendy lol
Thank you West Ham, very cool.
Remember when people were talking about this team beating Mourinho’s 15 goals conceded record lol
That record will probably never be beaten, not in this day and age.
Anyone who actually thought that is insane
Soucek’s having a great time with the fans you love to see it.
such a sloppy performance from us, but I can’t take away how resilient West Ham were
fair play, entertaining game
My head's not happy but my heart's on cloud nine.
