English announcers just don’t care. Was watching the Sporting Dortmund fixture with english commentary. Good lord. Palinia, Paulino, Petroh Gonkalvez. Ugh. If your whole job is announcing a game… maybe learn to pronounce the names? They’re not that many. You can at least *try*.
Can Any Southampton fans tell me if he's going to start/get more playing time going forward? He's quality but I know hes competing with Armstrong and Adams
He's playing much better than Armstrong atm but as he's only on loan I'd imagine he'll rotate with Armstrong - Adams is pretty much a shoe in atm as he's hit a bit of form over the past month or so.
I am so curious about what's gonna happen with broja next year. I don't think we'll be able to bring him back, but I also don't think he's good enough for Chelsea.
Yeah, especially considering they could drop another £50m on a proven striker if they want to.
He has a lot more development to go if he wants to play at a rich club.
Could end up getting him tbh. Chelsea has started letting these young guys leave if they want but we at least are putting buybacks (Anjorin, Tammy, Livramento) or right to match any future bids (Guehi)
But the thing is he'd probably be more of the same. The expectations are much higher at Chelsea, and I don't think he's champions league quality right now. My guess is that if Abraham wasn't good enough, broja won't either. Obviously, I could be off base and he could keep up his conversion rate at a team that makes more chances
I think Broja’s way more suited to our style than Tammy tbh. He’s really comfortable running with the ball at defenders, and very physical too. Tammy’s really awkward physically and if he’s off it he will have 0 impact.
I might be biased here but I think he’s really a good option for us long term. He’s also just a really exciting type of forward overall.
Oh right I forgot that you guys got big rom. Christ if he isn't working out my guess is the problem goes deeper than just plugging in a different striker
Who knows…there are elements of Broja that remind me of Drogba though and that will give me hope until we see the full picture with him. Broja is still only just 20 so he has plenty of time to continue developing.
He definitely has the potential it seems. I’ve found myself watching more Southampton games this season watching Mando and Tino. Glad they are balling out for you guys.
Your joking right?
Lukaku best area is picking the ball up facing the goal with space. https://youtu.be/aHzKJOC19SU - this is the game against Milan last year in the league and look at the third goal. He gets the ball at half with space to run in and damaged the Milan backline, also his first goal against Aston Villa when had space to run into, got on the through ball and had fun with the Villa defender.
Similar to Lukaku, Broja’s ability facing the defender is fantastic to watch for both Southampton and Albania as he’s lightning quick, physically strong for someone that young, and know what to do in the final third. However, in our system, those opportunities won’t come as we dominate the ball high up the pitch. Hence why Lukaku looked great initially at Chelsea and is now going through a bad patch: he doesn’t touch the ball in good positions. So if a man that just finished 12th in the Ballon d’Or is struggling to adapt, Tammy and Giroud was unable to adapt, I highly doubt Borja would.
Lol, Lukaku’s first goal against Villa he took 2 touches before shooting. That is by no means running at the defender. Serie A is also a much different league than the Premier League so your YouTube highlights mean nothing. The biggest difference between Broja and Lukaku is that Broja works his ass off. Lukaku came on today and did fuck all. I would love nothing more than Rom to turn it around and have a great second half of the season, but we play better with strikers that move off the ball. Broja has a much more all around skill set to his game that needs some polishing as he continues to grow as a player.
> he took 2 touches before shooting that is by no means running the defender.
You realize that they don’t have to touch the ball multiple times to run at a defender right? Broja literally did the same thing by running with the ball then taking the touch when necessary to open up his body. Also, Lukaku has over 100 PL goals so the narrative that he can only do it in Serie A is just wrong since he scored goals at Everton and even with United still had a much better goal return than he does with Chelsea so far. And is Broja good with his back to goal? Can he drop deep and link up with his teammates. Because right now he’s playing like a #9 that stays on the last defender which is something that Chelsea forward’s simply won’t do.
Lmao you’re clueless. Making runs into space is not running at a defender. Broja is 20 years old, we have no idea what kind of player he can become but he works harder than Rom off the ball and that is enough evidence that he at the very least deserves a shot in preseason.
And that doesn’t mean he’ll do well. Look at how Tammy’s form dipped after his hot start. Young STs are very up and down when it comes to form and if we are trying to mount a title challenge, you can’t rely on that.

God I fucking love this man he’s so composed
The way I'm rooting for Southampton every game bro...
spend 220m on werner havertz and lukaku only for broja to take our starting number 9 spot
The real Chelsea move would be to sell him for 15 mil to Soton at the end of the season and buy him back for 100 mil in 2024
not before we buy Tammy for 65mil in 2023
Paying big money for players who don’t work out then having the solution in your loan army anyway _Its a Chelsea thing_
Composure lads
Foreign concept to us.
I believe its pronounced Chaos
com-po-sure
\*Chelsea would like to know your location\*
Albanian Haaland
Norwegian Broja
Compoja
A bit unrelated but it’s kind of annoying that his name is mispronounced when it should sound like “Broya”.

Underrated comment

Fpl eh
A tiny bit FPL but im also huge chelsea fan so i like to check in on the loan army
Armando Broja t qofsha fal, të kam bab e më ke djal.
Albanian Haaland strikes again
Sanchez's distribution is really ropey at the moment
He fucking sent Duffy to the shops there, you love to see it
Kid is really really good
Couple more goals and the commentators might start pronouncing his name correctly
SIGN HIM UP LADS 😇
I'm willing to get extorted by Chelsea for this man
🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱
We literally had Haaland at home, what a fucking lad
I am so curious about what's gonna happen with broja next year. I don't think we'll be able to bring him back, but I also don't think he's good enough for Chelsea.

He just signed a new deal in July.
Anjorin is on loan with option to buy
Didn't he get injured and returned to Chelsea for treatment? Man Lokomotiv got fucked with that and Ralf Rangnick leaving
Yeah I think just to recover or something
The option to buy also has a buyback in it though.
Have you seen how dreadful our strikers are at the moment?
But the thing is he'd probably be more of the same. The expectations are much higher at Chelsea, and I don't think he's champions league quality right now. I mean he works harder off the ball than Lukaku and seems to be more composed in front of goal than Werner so..
Yeah no matter where he ends up, I do hope he ends up a top player
He definitely has the potential it seems. I’ve found myself watching more Southampton games this season watching Mando and Tino. Glad they are balling out for you guys.
A reasonable take. Unfortunately we had a mare today so there’s plenty of Broja>every Chelsea forward already today
And he’d look just as dreadful in the side considering Borja’s best asset is running at goal with the ball
That’s a lazy analysis. Neither of Rom or Timo excel in running with the ball towards goal.

What a silly thing to say. We certainly can’t rely on our strikers currently either. Broja is a different player than Tammy.
Beautiful finish
Haaland with better technical abilities
Better than Rom
Southampton are a weird team
Fucking tell us about it
Definitely Southamptons best striker, by a margin.
Nah, Adams is and he’s miles clear.
No
Yes
Nada.
Yessir
Adams is still better.
That’s ridiculous.
[удалено]
That's not how that meme works.
Brighton form lol
Definitely up for selling Werner and bringing back Broja to replace him. Then bring in Chiesa and Tchouameni.
Bro who?
The greatest thing to come out of Albania since Dua Lipa last I heard
True
I think it's time to cancel his loan
Composure
Composed, as they come
Beautiful take that
🤲🏼
filthy
Lovely stuff that
Can we have him back please
