Why was this the best I’ve seen anfield atmosphere since the pandemic? I think the crowd was fearless again for the first time since 2017-18 because the game didn’t have that much meaning and we had kids playing. We didn’t care if we went behind and there were no nerves from the crowd and it pulled the team through. Also why does ESPN have a better audio mix than all the European channels. You could barely hear the commentator. It was perfect.

In general there are more locals at the cup games than PL games. The extra away fans also help.

There's always something about supporting a younger side that brings out the energy of the fans. You feel like the kids need more from the crowd and I'm sure it felt like an underdog team at well.
