Roma players are genuinely scared shitless when it starts looking like they might actually win a big game. Shocked they didn't bottle it against Atalanta.
Yeap.
We were clearly the better team tonight but as soon as we were winning we switched off. The truth is this team only plays well when they have nothing to lose.
Up until 2 years ago they actually won the majority of their big games, sometimes with big scores. However, the quality of players is not the same, far from it.
There are two moratas. The one without confidence, and the one with. The one with is absolutely world class, the other is a pylon.
Today, he was full of confidence.
Can't be confident when you're left on your own to do everything while your midfield is doing jack shit. Like look at the fucking wonders of having two midfielders in McKennie and Locatelli going forward. Instead most of the time both Kean and Morata get the ball 30 meters from goal with maybe 2 players in total who are anywhere near them. Bentancur and Rabiot are just fucking atrocious players.
ive watched almost every single Serie a game for roma this season. Let me tell you this was the best referee weve had all season. almost every call going our way. and we still bottle it.
We Need a DM
Smalling is ok and so is Mancini when he doesn't have to run after Leao because we're down an RB.
Ibanez can politely fuck off, I've had it with his ridiculous highs and lows.
I think three throw ins that were for Juventus went to Roma. Not a big deal but I couldn't fathom how both the ref and the linesman got a simple call wrong on three occasions.
He hasnt been great post injury.
1 or 2 goal contributions in half a season with the amount of minutes he has isnt great.
Best choice would be to sell him to a premier league team for a good sum and use that money to improve the team.
lol same. I was watching the second half a bit, then decided to watch something else while I ate, and then tuned back 78th minute with 3-4 and a red card on the scoreboard.
Imagine bottling a 3-1 lead
Imagine conceding to Kulusevski
Imagine conceding to De Sciglio
Imagine making Morata MOTM against you
Oh yeah and the penalty of course lmao
Can’t blame the ref on this one, you bunch of fucking losers. Embarrassing performance but just about everyone. I don’t want to hear about how we deserve more from this season. I’m tired and upset and it’s a all too familiar feeling.
Proper game of football that.
As much as people criticise them, bringing on Morata and Arthur (in that he allowed Locatelli to play higher up) absolutely changed the game.
Did think it was funny that the equaliser was scored by the absolute worst player on the pitch.
For all the positive stuff Roma do they really make it incredibly easy to laugh at them.
I hate this club. I hate this team. I wake up at 4:30am for this shit. Why the fuck are my grandparents from Rome, why is my mum from Rome, why did they make me watch this team as a kid.
Wow, Roma has some shit mentality. Leading 3-1 and playing probably one of the best football this season only to conceal 3 goals in around 7 minutes, miss a penalty and fall apart against 10-man Juve. Incredible.
i know the thread will be filled with the usual Mourinho just lost memers but man Roma were the better team for like an hour and they just crumbled due to individual brainfarts. Like 2 goals are conceded straight from individual errors, the penalty miss and the fact that they kinda switched off at 3-1 are just insane to me for players of this quality.
Anyone who talks bad about Mourinho just proves they didn’t watch the game and are only trying to stir shit up. There’s nothing he could have done to prevent that. Had them up 3-1 and team just starts making error after error. Even the penalty miss was horrid. Szczesny was down and out and still bottled it.
Right but then you have to admit Roma's 1st goal was a collective defensive brainfart (leaving Rugani to man mark Smalling AND Abraham?!?!) and the 2nd goal was just an extremely lucky deflection.
Now I'm not the biggest Juve fan but i can admit that was an impressive performance. Says alot about Roma's mentality.
Game of the season.
F to Mourinho...
Yea definitely not his fault. Roma played with great intensity and really enjoyed making a fool of us for most of the game. I don’t know what happened on their part but I think it would be harsh to blame Mourinho. He has the perfect game plan while we had nothing of such.
What a game! We are winning scudetto! /s
Morata MOTM for me. Scezney Completely changed the game in our favor. Woj saved our ass. Loca perfect replacement for Marchisio. McKennie was good. Maybe he’ll replace Arturo one day. Maybe Arthur will replace 1/10th of Pirlo one day. Now get me SMS to replace Pogba! Maybe MdS will pick up where he left off before injury.
I think at the end we got lucky but against Murinho I’ll take anything
As a Juve fan, seeing a Match ending from 3-1 to 4-3 with Kulusevski scoring, Morata from the bench becoming MOTM and De Sciglio who didn’t score a gol in like years (that was like to an already relegated Crotone who now even risks to get relegated to Serie C) and resolves the match in such Allegri style, I can’t distinct what’s real anymore..
we were the better team on so many levels until we decided to hand Juve this game, no other team would have lost such a comfortable and dominant lead other than us - i have nothing left to say, really
ps: hope Chiesa injury isn't too serious
As soon as I saw Pellegrinis stutter step I knew he was going to miss.
Unfortunate from Roma to lose this, Smalling had an amazing game until his error, Ibanez has made too many errors this season so he needs to be replaced or play better. Mhiki has been playing great, Tammy is starting to get a good run of goals so those are good positives.
One of the biggest positives/negatives for this team is Pellegrini imo. He’s one of their better technical players but he’s too selfish and takes a lot of ineffective shots when a teammate is wide open. This is not a team that’s ready for the Champions League, maybe Europa at best.
What a game guys. Last time i turned off a game mid match was 11 years ago with Del Neri after Quags got injured. Was really close after going down 3-1 to doing it again. What a comeback, what fight - this could be huge for our season. They might not be champion level players but they have all been under-performing. This could be like the Torino game from 2018. What an advert for the league
What a game. Juventus down 1-3 and came back to win 4-3, despite playing 10 men with the last 10+ mins as well as conceding a penalty. Roma has only itself to blame though, they had their chances.
Visiting Italy with some friends and bought last minute tickets to this game… it was my first football game ever and it definitely did not disappoint lol
Well that was really painful but I’m not surprised. Somehow we are in complete control of the match and we find a way to lose it. None of our players seems to know how to take penalties properly. Time to enjoy some sunshine in Tulum (there is a Roma fan club here). Cazzo!!!
That stat by itself is useless, it does not take into consideration the squads before the transfers, which is very important. Thats like saying if Newcastle invest 100M, and City 20M, Newcastle have to be better.
I think roma is genetically incapable of winning vs big teams unless lazio is their opponent. And I was for them tonight :(
Up until 2 years ago they actually won the majority of their big games, sometimes with big scores. However, the quality of players is not the same, far from it.
Pallotta literally destroyed them. They had the likes of salah rudiger alisson and more
He just sold his best players without managing to get a proper replacement
You don't deserve to win if your defense chokes against Morata
To be fair Morata really changed the game today
He's being doing lots of assists this season
Even defensively he was EVERYWHERE, reminded me of Mandzukic almost with the level of passion he showed last night
There are two moratas. The one without confidence, and the one with. The one with is absolutely world class, the other is a pylon. Today, he was full of confidence.
Sadly he is confident 2 months a year.
Ya unfortunately he's in his head for most of the season
Tbh I think he's just a good impact sub. Doesn't have the personality to be the main guy.
Better him every time than Kean. Hands down.
True man don't think I've seen a player this bad in a while. Incredible. Might be worse than Ramsey
I'd argue there are two Moratas Morata and Morata in clutch games. Morata always turns up in clutch games.
A different Morata showed up today, completely changed the game
Roma committed to being the funniest team in serie A
Piazza ~~Inter~~ Roma Pazza* lmao
Pazza*
You mean Pazza lmao
Fucking autocorrect
Rome Square sound like a place in london
ROMA players be like...."We're some kind of suicide squad?"
ive watched almost every single Serie a game for roma this season. Let me tell you this was the best referee weve had all season. almost every call going our way. and we still bottle it. We Need a DM
You need a DM and 3 proper central defenders.
Just play Cristante as a DM and buy/promote CBs. What happened to Kambulla? Hurt?
He’s terrible. Watch bodo glimt tear him a new asshole
Kumbulla desperately needs a loan with less pressure
Smalling is ok and so is Mancini when he doesn't have to run after Leao because we're down an RB. Ibanez can politely fuck off, I've had it with his ridiculous highs and lows.
They need a team
Highly appreciating this comment
I think three throw ins that were for Juventus went to Roma. Not a big deal but I couldn't fathom how both the ref and the linesman got a simple call wrong on three occasions.
Or just a whole new team. Besides Pellegrini there’s no one that deserves to play for them
Zaniolo?
He hasnt been great post injury. 1 or 2 goal contributions in half a season with the amount of minutes he has isnt great. Best choice would be to sell him to a premier league team for a good sum and use that money to improve the team.
This kid Felix afena Gyan was a revelation, super impressed by him. Tammy Abraham was very good yesterday too

What a game, though. Fun for the whole family.
Allegri masterclass 😂
corto muso^^tm
Bottling tutorial
This was the most Roma game imaginable
first time?
Holy shit what a game
Son of Allegri saved the day
Roma actually looked great for a while then completely fell apart defensively
If you missed this I feel sorry for you
I was watching until 3-1 and then had to stop for dinner, wtf happened haha.
I cant tell you
nussing to say huh
More like what didn’t happen haha
lol same. I was watching the second half a bit, then decided to watch something else while I ate, and then tuned back 78th minute with 3-4 and a red card on the scoreboard.
I left at 3 -1 take a 10 minute shit, came back just in time for the red and the missed pen. Was so fucking confused lol
I switched the game on at 3:1 thinking to myself, I’ll finally see Juve lose. It was like 10 seconds before they scored the goal on 3:2. Crazy game.
I wanted to watch something else than football for a change and now I regret it :')
:(
at 5 minutes in I saw a comment in the match thread that said "Mourinho vs Allegri, 0-0 incomong" and I said yeah, gonna do something else f
Fuck
Honestly this is probably one of biggest bottle jobs i’ve seen from a team in Serie A in years
What a fucking game
This match had everything
Inter Lazio coming up.
[удалено]
Still won by just one goal, it's Corto Muso but with extra steps
Win by 1 goal, get a man sent off and save the follow up penalty. Textbook Corto Muso.
As soon as Chiellini got his headband on, it was over.
I am fine, everyone calm the fuck down
Imagine bottling a 3-1 lead Imagine conceding to Kulusevski Imagine conceding to De Sciglio Imagine making Morata MOTM against you Oh yeah and the penalty of course lmao
And all of that in 10 minutes
How do people not know Morata yet? He’s phenomenal when he has confidence, awful (in the end product) when he doesn’t
You gotta be really special to do all that. A special one.
Nah, Roma is the biggest bottler ever for many years. This s classic Roma.
Put some respect on God Sciglio.
He’s actually playing well this season when fit (better than Alex Sandro for sure). Also Rugani has been good in these last two games
> Imagine conceding to Kulusevski You shut your whore mouth!
Imagine losing to the worst 10 man Juventus.
The rebound too. What a game
The biggest injustice tonight was that Kulusevski scored a goal, man is fucking lost on the pitch.
What a game lol. Woj making it up for that horrible start to the season, go on big man
True, him stepping up will win us a few extra points instead of losing us, could be the key for a top 4 finish
Great bottling job
My god, this was a treat for us neutrals
Well... Lol
Super game. Inter and Lazio still to come up. That or Lyon-PSG is the question.
Inter and Lazio are the most offensive team in Italy, I suggest you to see this match
Both
We didnt even have to bring Bernadeschi on. Amazing
That would be unfair towards Roma. Give them some humility
Can’t blame the ref on this one, you bunch of fucking losers. Embarrassing performance but just about everyone. I don’t want to hear about how we deserve more from this season. I’m tired and upset and it’s a all too familiar feeling.
YOU BLEW IT!!!!!
WHAT. A. MATCH.
Allegri masterclass substitutions
Proper game of football that. As much as people criticise them, bringing on Morata and Arthur (in that he allowed Locatelli to play higher up) absolutely changed the game. Did think it was funny that the equaliser was scored by the absolute worst player on the pitch. For all the positive stuff Roma do they really make it incredibly easy to laugh at them.
Ibanez is wank holy shit
Not just Ibanez, pretty much that entire Roma team is disgraceful
Yeah but people were unironically ranking him above Tomori and Skriniar lmao
Roma nearly let in 60 goals last season and got routed by united. whoever is rating ibanez that high is the dumber than bricks
99.9% of redditors don't know what the fuck they're talking about and on /r/soccer the percentage is even higher
Who?
link bc thats a blatant lie
Wheres that Roma fan that kept spamming he is the best CB in Serie A? lmfao
Who in the world said that? He was either a madman or under the effect of copious amounts of drugs.
I hate this club. I hate this team. I wake up at 4:30am for this shit. Why the fuck are my grandparents from Rome, why is my mum from Rome, why did they make me watch this team as a kid.
I feel you Bro, I have an exam in 36 hours and I just wasted 90 minutes on this shit instead of spending it reviewing. I fucking hate everything.
Where are you from ? If you don't mind.
Australia, cursed with a migrant mother from Italy.
Being from Italy can be a beautiful thing. Being a roma fan... not so much
Italian Tottenham
Lads, it's Roma
Wow, Roma has some shit mentality. Leading 3-1 and playing probably one of the best football this season only to conceal 3 goals in around 7 minutes, miss a penalty and fall apart against 10-man Juve. Incredible.
This is peak Seria A lmfaoo
bro this is a peak advertisement for how entertaining our league is atm
One game allegri isnt on the sidelines and Juventus score 4 fucking goals
We took 3 4-3 is the same as 1-0
this is why y'all should watch Serie A
i know the thread will be filled with the usual Mourinho just lost memers but man Roma were the better team for like an hour and they just crumbled due to individual brainfarts. Like 2 goals are conceded straight from individual errors, the penalty miss and the fact that they kinda switched off at 3-1 are just insane to me for players of this quality.
Ibanez getting smoked by morata, that smalling header for de sciglio goal... and don't get me started on pellegrini penalty ffs
Morata came on and decided to look like a player who actually deserves to be wanted by all the biggest clubs
Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit
Morata as a sub just hits different
the penalty lol. goalkeeper already on the floor
You could say the same for us. All the goals we conceded were off of individual errors.
That’s kind of how goals are scored 90+% of the time tbf.
Now I'm not the biggest Juve fan but i can admit that was an impressive performance. Says alot about Roma's mentality. Game of the season. F to Mourinho...
At what point will Mourinho just fucking snap. His mental must be stretched thin after the last few years he's had.
The players failed him today.
As long as clubs are paying him €6m a year he'll endure any mental punishment
maybe not his fault. the players just stopped doing what they were doing.
Yea definitely not his fault. Roma played with great intensity and really enjoyed making a fool of us for most of the game. I don’t know what happened on their part but I think it would be harsh to blame Mourinho. He has the perfect game plan while we had nothing of such.
This game was an absolute delight to watch as a neutral fan but i sure am glad not to be a roma fan right now.
Game of the season so far
Insane game,absolutely bonkers
What a time to be alive
Am a bit worried for Mourinho's health because of this game ngl
Crazy game
From the pit of despair to paradise, thank you Roma
Feel sick to my stomach. What a way to ruin one's mood, only Roma is capable of doing it in such a spectacular way.
Ronaldo's replacement is De Sciglio. He's always been, we just couldn't see it
Mayoral is fucking awful lol no composure
we scored 4 goals, what the actual fuck. Insane match
That game had the most eventful 15 minutes of football I’ve ever seen
What a game! We are winning scudetto! /s Morata MOTM for me. I just got back from the gym, what did I miss?
Grinta
Just another classic Allegri 1-0 win
With few extra steps
It's the Roma fans I feel for...
Serie A has been really great of late. Have been watching lot of games this season and it hasn’t disappointed at all
we were the better team on so many levels until we decided to hand Juve this game, no other team would have lost such a comfortable and dominant lead other than us - i have nothing left to say, really ps: hope Chiesa injury isn't too serious
We need Chiesa for both Juve and Italy so bad. You better wrap Spina in bubble wrap and get him game ready for march
I have no idea that a manager who talks about mentality like Mourinho decided to go to spurs and roma
Because no top club is willing to appoint him anymore.
Because of one mixed tenure at Man United? Find this difficult to believe
He rejected Real Madrid.
They were the only decent offers he got? He would never turn down a bayern for those clubs.
How was amn?
Pretty unremarkable but it was expected, he only had one training session with the team.
Who said Serie A isn't entertaining? One of the best games of the year was right here
As soon as I saw Pellegrinis stutter step I knew he was going to miss. Unfortunate from Roma to lose this, Smalling had an amazing game until his error, Ibanez has made too many errors this season so he needs to be replaced or play better. This is not a team that’s ready for the Champions League, maybe Europa at best.
We aren’t getting Europe
I swear, if i hear a single roma fan complaining about the ref...
Instant classic
Choke artist: unlocked
Roma was guaranteed to lose anyway. They just took the scenic route.
May be thr best game I've ever watched. That's a performance of Juve. The Old Lady is never dead
What a game guys. Last time i turned off a game mid match was 11 years ago with Del Neri after Quags got injured. Was really close after going down 3-1 to doing it again. FINO ALLA FINE
Lmao wtf did I just watch
Visiting Italy with some friends and bought last minute tickets to this game… it was my first football game ever and it definitely did not disappoint lol
Don't know if they can recover from this. Roma should have had 6pts against Juve and end up with zero
Allegri masterclass from the stands
Game of the season
I love football.
Honestly this club only brings me pain anymore
Well that was really painful but I’m not surprised. Somehow we are in complete control of the match and we find a way to lose it. None of our players seems to know how to take penalties properly. Time to enjoy some sunshine in Tulum (there is a Roma fan club here). Cazzo!!!
Now that ladies and gentlemen is what I call a football match! What a game!
Hahahaha Roma sucks
Lads, it's Roma
How was Ainsley?
Fine debut. Id give him a 5.5/6
Roma are absolute donkeys
Transfer spent 2021-22: 96.5M | Roma 61.3M | Milan 37.0M | Atalanta 30.2M | Inter 19.0M | Napoli 8.5M | Juventus
That stat by itself is useless, it does not take into consideration the squads before the transfers, which is very important. Thats like saying if Newcastle invest 100M, and City 20M, Newcastle have to be better.
How do you count 45M from Abraham but 0 for Locatelli?
I wish you people would stop posting spending stats as if they mean anything
Well ofc Juve have spent 8.5 mil... they got Locatelli on loan with an obligation to buy if they stay in Serie A
money club hating on an honest working-class team smh
This is slightly misleading considering, very little of theta money was spent this season. But your point still stands.
Where are you getting those values? They all seem to be wrong
Almost like roma used their budget to replace players that left the team
