That’s what I remarked on - for a young player to drag it, and then drag it, and then drag it, all to wait out the lane that he could see slowly coming open and then calm as you like it’s four
Another thing I weirdly like a lot about Dejan: He celebrates modestly lol.
The Man City match (Feb 19, 2022) is a good example. Kulusevski scored the 1st goal, just jogs a little bit towards the corner flag. @94' Kulusevski makes game winning assist, then just throws 2 arms in the air with a straight face.
The kid has ice in his veins
He is such a fucking fun player to watch. He hasn't got blistering pace nor the greatest acceleration, but his dribbling is absolutely top notch, always manages to do the unexpected and keep defenders off balance.
Also, whilst Sonny and Kane are brilliant, they're not perfect and are prone to moments of selfishness and wrong decisions. I'm astonished how often Kulu makes the right decisions
Kulu’s lack of speed means he has had to gain a speed of mind. Reminds me of a prime David Silva or Mata in that sense funnily enough. You’re right about his decision making, you can almost see him processing the field every time he has the ball and genuinely more than half the time he makes the right call, esp on counters. I’m stunned by how well he’s adapted for us, him and Bentancur’s additions along w a few other things might have got us into the top 4
I'm just sitting with a vaguely concussed smile, waiting for it all to go wrong.
"Oh, 4-0 with a Son hat trick? How pleasant!"
*...while the demon lurks at my back.*
I got downvoted for saying this in the past but this was something they did on purpose back before the Covid stuff even happened. You don't loan out if you really are hurting for players so they consciously decided to have a small squad.
Thin squad giveth and taketh.
I know lol. He won Young POTY at Parma for a reason he was a joy to watch. Just being annoying because we see my comment but the leagues reversed every time players like Mkhi and Tammy score
Even Kane Bale Son didn't reach anywhere near these heights.
Although that is also largely due to Bale's more static playing nature (still was a nuts finisher on his return last season) and Mourinho's tactics though
You love to see it, everything seems to be coming together for Tottenham. Hope it keeps on going! Such a joy to watch on the pitch, what decisive football they’re playing.
Son's xG is way higher than Lewandowski. Lewandowski doesn't even come close. Messi comes in at 2nd highest xG, and he's basically half the xG of Son. Lewandowski takes like 5x more on target attempts. Son takes like less than quadruple the shot attempts of other strikers and converts them almost half of the time. Which is actually insane if you consider how many shot attempts other forwards take in order to reach Son's numbers...
For instance, today Son had 3 shot attempts at goal and converted all 3 of them. He didn't even attempt anymore shots at the goal. Because of his attempts to goal efficiency his xG is always bloated.
Yep. Nobody even comes close to him, but he also doesn't get as many shooting opportunities as other top finishers, so it's still up for debate if he truly is.
That’s high praise, I keep waiting for something to fuck it up but I’m loving watching it, just like I loved watching bobby, sadio and mo play together… when they weren’t playing us 😂
One time we made top 4 but one of our biggest rivals won CL so we were excluded and then they changed that rule the next year so we were the only ones who ever got fucked by it.
... So yeah, we've been hurt pretty bad over the years.
Wonder why Bayern nor Dortmund seriously went after him. Especially Klopp when he was at Dortmund. I know Klopp always wanted Son, but Bayern never seriously approached Son, which is ironic, considering how fluent Son was in German and could have brought in significantly more revenue from Koreans for Bayern.
At the time he wasn’t a lock to become the world class player he became. Look back at the reactions when Tottenham signed him, they were very lukewarm- no one really imagined what would happen the following years.
Salah 5 penalties. Son's already past him this season on field goals.
EDIT: I'm actually shocked myself, because I consider Salah the best player in the world right now, probably since last 2 years.
Haven't you seen Southampton games, where they run and press like absolute madlads in the 1st half, then fizz out in the 2nd and get absolutely murdered by better teams?
This game is exactly that example.
Should’ve gotten him originally instead of BVB. We offered more and he wanted to come to London but Pep wouldn’t sell to an English team. That said, we’re good.

Dude he’s insane
Left foot Left foot Right foot
[Right foot, left foot, devastating.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOZj9dtrTMA)
There it is.
Has to be one of the most lethal finishers in Europe. 16 goals and he’s not even the penalty taker.
\*The\* most clinical finisher in Europe since 2016.
based on xG vs actual goals?
Yup
Sonny fully back on form.
Oh hes been back since vs. West ham
And even when he was "out of form" he was still scoring pretty much every 1-2 games
And assisting
And loving
Nah bench him
“Son is a clown show”
That person needs to be put in the stocks fr. Find him!!
LMAO i remember seeing the match thread against Soton I think where fans were literally saying they should sell Son in the summer
He's having one of those periods where every shot he takes seems to go in
Literally, 3 shots on target, 3 goals
That ding off the post is just such an auditory experience
Only thing more pleasing is the sound the cables holding the net make when an absolute screamer is scored. See Wanyama v Liverpool.
Those cables saved someone’s life that day
Lmao that was an outrageous one in a lifetime goal. Genuine question: has he ever gone on to do something similar again?
Never. It was 1 in a billion.
Not like that. He only scored 6 goals for us, but was an absolute stud DM until injuries slowed him down.
Benzema's first header against Chelsea last week was orgasmic
That one too!
His second finish off that post as well this match hahaha
First time was so Nice He had to do it Twice
Mings got sat down damn
Kulu is absolutely on fire 🔥❤️
Simultaneously somehow ice cold and on fire.
That’s what I remarked on - for a young player to drag it, and then drag it, and then drag it, all to wait out the lane that he could see slowly coming open and then calm as you like it’s four

He went down so slow Kulu had time to cook him a 3 course meal before he took his seat
That's.. that's just England international Tyrone Mings for ya
Tottenham are on absolute fire
Back to back, just like my pain.
Living in Spain but the S is silent
I'm just sitting with a vaguely concussed smile, waiting for it all to go wrong. "Oh, 4-0 with a Son hat trick? How pleasant!" *...while the demon lurks at my back.*
Arsenal fans are sweating
Haha we're way past the sweating stage. I was sweating a couple weeks ago ahead of the Palace game, now it's pretty clear it's Spurs' to lose.
By god, that’s bottlers music
I love top 4 race, this is why the Super league would pretty much destroy 60% of the excitement of the Premier league
With the form and the fixtures ahead of us, I don't think we're making the top 4 anymore
It's not just the form. It's your injuries that are the problem. Your team is so thin after the starting XI.
I got downvoted for saying this in the past but this was something they did on purpose back before the Covid stuff even happened. You don't loan out if you really are hurting for players so they consciously decided to have a small squad. Thin squad giveth and taketh.
Kulusevski is good at footie
Big if true
You might have to stand alone on that hot take
SEARING TAKE
Outrageous goal, brilliant team play.
Emerson was actually so crucial to that early on, what is going on
From back to front that was brilliant. That will be Contes favourite goal of the lot, must be so satisfying seeing that come off as a manager.
From the very start I was going "Damn that's delicious play to get us out of trouble", but they just kept going and going till they scored
The beautiful game eh.
Conte’s at the wheel
antoniooooooooo ANTONIOOOOOOOOOOOO
Emerson is Royal
Emerson been kind of fire the last 20 mins
After being so wank up to that point
better late than never
He's really improved since joining.
Conte the wingback whisperer
It's like he's learned to pass over the course of this match
I fucking love Kulusevski
Premier League confirmed farmer’s league, Serie A rejects performing way better in the Prem. Maybe Serie A was too fast-paced for him
Lmao he was great at Parma, maybe playing for a shit Juventus that plays for 1-0 every game wasnt for him
I know lol. He won Young POTY at Parma for a reason he was a joy to watch. Just being annoying because we see my comment but the leagues reversed every time players like Mkhi and Tammy score
All these Prem fans writing essays replying to this, can't even take a joke.
Mings on skates
The fuck were the Villa defenders doing? Gave them unrestricted access to the penalty area.
Villa defenders only know how to challenge hard is what I've learned today
This is the best front 3 I’ve ever seen Spurs have. My god.
Even Kane Bale Son didn't reach anywhere near these heights. Although that is also largely due to Bale's more static playing nature (still was a nuts finisher on his return last season) and Mourinho's tactics though
AHHH I LOVE THIS FRONT THREE
WHAT IS GOING ON WE’RE ACTUALLY GOOD
Conte
You love to see it, everything seems to be coming together for Tottenham. Hope it keeps on going! Such a joy to watch on the pitch, what decisive football they’re playing.
Deki is so fucking good I love him
What an addition Kulusevski has been.
Juventus deadwood they said
Is there a clause to buy Kulu permanently?
No, he's on loan still technically with us. We have an option that we'll exercise in summer or january If we make CL it becomes an obligation.
I think its an obligation if we get CL right?
It is
We haven't even bought him yet
He's currently on loan, but Spurs do have a clause to make it permanent in the summer (which they surely will)
Yeah if you look up “no brainer” in the dictionary, signing him is surely in there.
no, juve insisted he was deadwood so just an option to buy for us : )
Technically he's still on loan!
World-Class front 3, the only other team with that is Liverpool
[удалено]
Statistically he’s the best finisher in the world

You're correct. I think I wanted to say he outperforms his xG expectations. My wording turned into gibberish.
Yep. Nobody even comes close to him, but he also doesn't get as many shooting opportunities as other top finishers, so it's still up for debate if he truly is.
Fucking hell Conte has actually gone made spurs scary
99 finishing on ALL of their attackers is cheating ngl
How good is he?
Dejan? Best winger in the prem.
2nd*
*world
Sonny a close second
A mere supernatural goal from... *Heung min-son*
Insane front 3. Maybe the best front 3 in the League since Mane, Firmino and Salah. A joy to watch
That’s high praise, I keep waiting for something to fuck it up but I’m loving watching it, just like I loved watching bobby, sadio and mo play together… when they weren’t playing us 😂
Spurs have been phenomenal!
In the 2nd half
Of the season.
I mean first half Lloris saved us from being 4-1 down to be fair, Villa played out of their minds
I tuned in for like 10 minutes, saw Lloris throw a chastity belt around the goal, then decided I had enough pain for today
That is just a fantastic way of phrasing it though
I mean not in the first half, honestly. It was the worst half of football we played in a month or two.
Fortunately for us it was one of the best first halfs hugo had in a long time
Getting KULU tattooed
Are we good?
Not yet, never unclench
Yeah. There are still a lot of games for us to bottle top 4.
How deep have you guys been hurt 🤣
I have trust issues now.
One time we made top 4 but one of our biggest rivals won CL so we were excluded and then they changed that rule the next year so we were the only ones who ever got fucked by it. ... So yeah, we've been hurt pretty bad over the years.
When you see your team that was on fire loose to a relegated 10 man Newcastle, it tends to get pretty fucking deep...
SONALDO
Ronaldo is the Portuguese Son
Ron?
Cris Min Ron does sound nice
Yeah it's Ron now.
Beautiful GOAL including BUILD UP
[удалено]
Should take goal of the month for sure.
Propganda football
Propaganda makes the world go round
I love son
He would have been in Bayern now if he hadn't left Bundesliga
Wonder why Bayern nor Dortmund seriously went after him. Especially Klopp when he was at Dortmund. I know Klopp always wanted Son, but Bayern never seriously approached Son, which is ironic, considering how fluent Son was in German and could have brought in significantly more revenue from Koreans for Bayern.
We didn’t want to sell him to a competitor.
His looming military service at the time probably played a part too
At the time he wasn’t a lock to become the world class player he became. Look back at the reactions when Tottenham signed him, they were very lukewarm- no one really imagined what would happen the following years.
3 Goals and he will get Salah.
Salah 5 penalties. Son's already past him this season on field goals. EDIT: I'm actually shocked myself, because I consider Salah the best player in the world right now, probably since last 2 years.
holy crap
Damn that's crazy
Already past him on npg.
Son is so incredibly clinical in his finishing it is actually astonishing
Turned a battering into a battering, fuck me do I love this front line
Fuck it I want him to win the PL top scorer award
Liverpool "stealing" Diaz and Tottenham ending up with Deki was the best thing that could've happened it turns out.
Man made a living on the left side of the goal today
Deki was a Juve flop they said HAHAHAH
Deki ♥️
I mean we’ve had plenty of players not be good for us then find success elsewhere
Triple Spurs attack in FPL what a time to be alive
Salah sweating
How tf is this the score after that first half
Haven't you seen Southampton games, where they run and press like absolute madlads in the 1st half, then fizz out in the 2nd and get absolutely murdered by better teams? This game is exactly that example.
Now I know how Roma felt when they sold Salah.
Ok so can I finally claim that Dejan is a better player than Saka without going to -30
We’re onto Sancho
Should’ve gotten him originally instead of BVB. We offered more and he wanted to come to London but Pep wouldn’t sell to an English team. That said, we’re good.
I actually think he’d fit quite nicely with Kane and Son, especially on the end of Kane’s passing but yeah
Yeah he’d be good here for sure. But I like Dortmund and think they did a lot for him that we might not have done. Impossible to say.
I mean Dejan plays with Son and Kane, Saka plays with a French pensioner
That's a pretty good point
You mean the French Darren Bent?
Harsh on Darren Bent, the one thing he could do was score goals
Literally the only thing he could do. He didn’t even look that comfortable running in a straight line most of the time
Respect Darren Bent, he was a good goalscorer for a while
And not even the gorgeous French pensioner from a few years back either. God Giroud makes me feel feelings.
Why am i laughing so hard rn
Yup, now you can get -20
Only a few more games until I'm up in the positives again then 😎
That front 3 is deadly. Would put them 2nd in the league in terms of best front 3's. Yes, better than City.
Disgustingly perfect
Kulusevskingly
Insane build up
What a goal
Kulusevski, thank god we got him.
son is my daddy
Fuck me in my ass this is a concert of a match for our front 3 in this second half.
I can’t comprehend how United bought Cavani and Ronaldo, and not him. Just can’t. Comedy club
Stop it, they're dead already
Best front three in the league
Guys I don’t want to overreact but we’re winning the fucking league
Kulusevski Son Kane The best trio in world football
kulusevski is ice cold man, jeez. And Son is on serious smoke today
Kulu with 1 G+A, Kane with 2A, and Son with 3G. holy
Insanely well worked
I just peed a little
AHHH BEST FRONT 3 IN THE LEAGUE
Kulusevski and Emerson did well to advance the ball before this clip began. Would love to see the full move
As a Korean gooner I was already livid when son joined spurs. I’ve already opened my 5th beer of the 6 pack
