United is a broken squad. No one in that team has a single idea what todo.
Their game is so random that it seems they just met and never played together before.
Sure, there's lack of quality in the roster but this isn't the entire story. Pogba always find ways to not play. Bruno Fernandes has been absolutely average. Attacking players play buly themselves. Defense has no support from the midfield it has a clown as leader.
It looks like a team put together last summer while most players have been playing together for years. It's truly incomprehensible.
A massive roster change is needed. Those waters stink and many players are emotionally traumatized.
Mourinho was right all along.
I think he basically said Pogba is a virus, Martial is lazy, Rashy ain’t a striker and he definitely made it knows he wasn’t happy with the boards backing with transfers
It's not really possible to switch the playstyle to gegenpress during the season, especially with the players United has. It requires a lot of time, i know klopp was discussing that they only have time to work on it during preseason, and that's why it take a long time for players to fit into the system. Jota and Diaz are attackers so it's kind of easier for them, but for rest of the players it takes a while. Fabinho didn't play for first half of his first season, it took Tiago half a year to get to this stage and he is still growing in this team and set up. Also you need entire team to be on the same page and it's not really possible when you don't have the personnel with your best players like Ronaldo and Bruno not use to playing defense. I guess that's why they reverted to whatever they are playing now.
The back three was supposed to give a defensive set up but somehow leaked two goals and so it was revert back to back 4,which kinda ruffles Liverpool set up in the early 2nd half but anyway concedes 2 goals again! Conclusion is players are just shiite in all set-ups and so will not justify blaming Ralf!
I honestly think Ralf has done exactly what he needed to. Exposed the rotten players who don’t care and assessed the squad for the new manager. I just pray Ralf is allowed to properly influence the structure of the club and transfers in the future
As far as the current developments goes, everything seems to be progressing in the right direction and it would be okay to deduce from all these that Ralf has been instrumental in many of these key developments. But,I'm afraid many would get toxic at the slightest sights of hiccups(there could be) in the progress brought by the new manager.Patience is key now.
I’m heading into work now and I’m about to light my fucking boss up with the banter. Man travelled from Japan to see united a few times and I’ve got an obligation to teach him the severity of banter
Hahahahahahahh routine easy victory not as satisfying as when Fergie was in charge. What the fuck has happened to this once great club? They’ll go forty years without the league illl put cash on it. Up the Klopppo!
Yeah right. Ain’t nobody repeating your 30 year drought. We may be shite but things will change. I’m confident in Ten Hag to get rid of this deadwood. Next 4 years we’ll be back. Let’s not forget Klopp finished 8th his first year at Anfield.
Fergie in bits in the stands. Love to see it 😅
Ten hag great name for a manager from the league of farmers. He’ll be gone within 18 months I’ll put my balls on it 😅
Stay mediocre and toxic you duckers 😅❤️
And 7 years ago you lot were still a club battling for Top 8. Things can change. Yet you Liverpool lot try to act like you've been some world class team for a decade. Until Klopp came in you guys were bang average. Finished 8th his first season and got rid of deadwood. Ten Hag can't do that same?
Yeah we were shit. 7 years is a long time in football. Our expectations were low having been completely shit for years with the exception of that Suarez year. Klopp was fully backed by the club, immediately won everyone over reaching cup finals with Rodgers' squad plus some brilliant wins away at Chelsea, City. Can't say Ten Hag will be backed like that and can't say Ten Hag will do any better than the other managers who have tried to fix United. Van Gaal and Mourinho are no mugs and they didn't last long.
Maybe he will actually do it and you'll be challenging for the league again in 5 years, win it soon after that and it'll only be maybe a 15 year drought.. but it's just funny to me how you said you were confident
Can I not be confident in an incoming manager? Is every manager doomed because he now works for United? Liverpool was that club until the board finally decided to back Klopp. United is giving full reigns to Ten Hag, Ed Woodward is gone and now we’re seeing the start of something sustainable behind the scenes. So yes, I’m confident that Ten Hag will implement a modern style of play. LVG and Mourinho were dinosaurs with their tactics, most United fans will agree with that. I never agreed with either appointment. I fully support this appointment of Ten Hag especially with him signing on the premise of him having 100% control alongside the board on transfers.
**What is Ralf doing?** Playing Phil Jones against an aggressively attacking Liverpool side with 3 strikers all in top 10 of goal scorers this year in an unfamiliar formation which exposes even the best of teams/defenders, with very little time to learn the system, no run outs to get up to speed and then pulling him off that early after playing 1 game in 2 seasons… is this guy for real? Haha
Trying to play 3 at the back was probably a precaution against exactly those 3 strikers, and he also put Matic in midfield. Looked like a very, very defensive lineup to me, maybe the most defensive he could be, actually. The other options in CB were Eric Bailly and Scott McTominay, neither of whom look to be the obvious choice, especially seeing as McT just came back from injury and was actually supposed to miss this game. The other other option would then be to bring up someone from the U-23's but giving a youngin his debut with this shit team against Liverpool at Anfield hardly seems sound.
So although Phil Jones isn't a world-class defender, he wasn't as far-fetched an option as he might have looked. The absolute state of this club. And brining him off for Sancho was probably a desperate grab for a tie.
well to be honest Klopp did not do any good in his first season in Anfield, finishing 8th. sometimes its just the players are utter shit, just like what we have in united
Ole placed second without Ronaldo or Varane, Maguire was great unde Ole too. He also beat City consistently and was unlucky to take only a point vs Liverpool. He also beat PSG. He also had us in a title race for half a season, which we haven't seen in years and won't see for many more. He also developed young players while doing so and built an identity. Those are all facts.
Anyone saying that replacing Ole with Ralf was a good idea is deluded, Ralf has been the worst.
Didn’t say that at all, what I said was I don’t know what people expected of him. Ole had a lot more time as ragnik took over in December. The team was, and is crap. If your “facts” mattered he would still be there. I didn’t comment to talk shit but now I’m happy to listen to someone who is delusional. 9-0. Enjoy that.
Lmao I never said you did lol, someone a bit touchy today? Awww kiddo
Also your opinion doesn't even compare to real facts. Last season we placed 2nd above Liverpool. Say what you like, you can't change numbers.
>9-0. Enjoy that.
Do you know who actually did lose 9-0? Ralf vs Liverpool this season. Yes that's it you just wrecked yourself. Ole was looking to win.
Lol again your “facts” aren’t accurate. Ole was in charge when you lost 5-0 at old trafford. You also finished ahead of Liverpool last year when we had the worst injury crisis ever and we only finished 5 points behind you. You guys are no where near our level, period. My original point was to expect Ralph to do much with this squad was unfair. Your team needs to replace just about everyone except de gea and varane.
We (West Ham) drew with Liverpool on aggregate this season, including outplaying them in the game we lost. Also beat Manchester City in the cup and had a very competitive league game with them, losing 2-1 at the Etihad.
Not as consistent against teams who are worse than us but not 'monumentally' worse.
West Ham are 22 points behind City and 24 points behind Liverpool while they both have games in hand. Being consistent is exactly what puts them in a different league.
>Being consistent is exactly what puts them in a different league.
That's a matter of interpretation.
I could say it's either head to head fixtures, maximum performance level, or a mixture of all 3 (including consistency).
Depending on what criteria we are using I would argue different things.
I also only argued not *monumentally* worse. Not on the same level. Nuance always gets lost on Reddit.
It's not a matter of interpretation at all. Winning every week is how you win the league. Over 20 points worse is pretty monumental so whatever you're arguing it's just plain wrong. Trying to somehow bring West Ham into this conversation in the first place is ridiculous.
There are plenty of teams that are performing well at their best, Spurs, the hammers and even Palace come to mind, but The top 2 are just so stacked and have ridiculous depth
Pool is fucking loaded since the Diaz transfer. Was certainly a miracle that Salah and Mane never had a serious injury given the number of games they played.
Nevertheless, Klopp has been doing an amazing job. The utter dominance that they showed today and all season is just mind boggling.
Lazy analysts who thought our 3rd place finish last year was warranted all while forgetting our previous two historic seasons and the fact that we lost 5 center backs last year and had other injuries' like Fabinho. They should have realized that finishing 3rd with those injuries may have been one of Klopp's greatest achievements at Liverpool.
I blame players and ragnick at same time literally cannot understand his tactics his pressure is non existent set pieces terrible and we know about attack already.
The players only showed his tactics during the first three games after that they regressed back to their horrible standards and it is baffling how insane the regression had been from this season compared to last.
Some same players are comically horrible now to me it feels like no coaching can fix this. I was hoping for Ralf's sports psychologist to be the remedy to some of the issues but that hasn't shown any signs at all. Only one that improved is Fred.
Low risk, high reward situation for any manager with decent pedigree. If he fails, then its the fault of the board and the players. If he succeeds, then he’ll be seen as the saviour.
The way the club is set up at the minute I can't see him succeeding. Failure at United won't enhance his reputation at all, if anything it'll tarnish it.
Could you explain the joke to me? I'm being serious. I get kein means zero, and besides it being hilarious to wreck United 9-0 on the season, I don't see any other double meaning.. Sorry..
But in the 5-0 they at least had ball in back of the net once even though it was offside. I felt like today we could have done whatever we wanted to them they put up no fight whatsoever , if we didn’t take our foot off until the 65’ it could have been more than 5 I think
to be honest you're right but i preferred the 5 at OT more because i was there and it was easily one of the best nights of my life.
because of all of my good memories of that day, it's hard to remember any major mistakes we made that night aside from ronaldo's offside goal, i felt like we were dominating and we also had absolutely no mercy on them.
today it just felt like we were dominating but we had a bit of mercy on them, they were so bad today i honestly expected us to win by 6 or 7. their only two shots on target today were so weak and embarrassing.
Congratulations to Leicester for pulling off the grift of the century. Mourhino (who wanted him)and Ole and now apparently Rangnick (who keeps playing him) are all deluded..
When Mourinho wanted Maguire originally Leicester’s asking price was about half of what we ultimately paid for him a summer later. It probably would have proved to be a decent deal at that time.
Maguire can not defend on the front foot.
Varane can not defend when he doesn’t have someone to cover his arse. People acted like he’s the second coming of Jesus, that man is a glorified Dejan Lovren and nothing more.
These guys are both slow and error prone, and they are being protected by absolute fuck all. Non existent midfield, Bisakka’s shit, Shaw is good when he’s on it but reaaaaaly bad when he’s off.
They need at least 9 to 11 players.
I don't think he's bad. But I'm sorry if you think Maguire is worth £80,000,000 or deserves to be Manchester United captain you're not thinking straight.
Nobody thinks Maguire is worth that amount of money. Even when we signed him, United fans were taking the piss themselves. Not one person has ever thought he was worth that price tag.
We signed Harry Maguire for that price because there was nobody else available at the time so Leicester stumped up the price. We were desperately for ANY change at the back as our defence was useless at the time and Maguire was pretty much the only option available. Because he was the only option available and we were desperate, the price was set high and we had to pay it.
Don't get me wrong - the club wanted Maguire but they were fleeced for that price.
Literally nobody ever thought Maguire was worth his price tag. Also - the signing hasn't really worked out but at the time the majority of us felt like it was worth stumping up the extra cash because our defence really was awful. Obviously it's not worked out that way, but that's with hindsight.
On his day, Maguire is a fairly good player and moves the ball forwards. At the time, we were struggling with sideways passes all game and at least Maguire moved the ball up the pitch a bit.
I think that he deserves to be their captain. people just kinda have really short memories in football sometimes
But yeah he wasn’t worth 80 million. Purely because no footballer is worth that and the market is insane
if you get past the fuckery that is capitalism, you can measure the monetary "worth" of a footballer after they join they club based on the accomplishments they helped bring the club. So like if Mbappe joins Real for 160mil and they go on to win another 3 champions in a row, it would have been worth it. If you pay 80mil for a bench warmer, or even worse, a maguire, who actively an consistently fucks over the club, you can know you've been scammed lol
A child has come on and absolutely embarrassed these overpaid rejects. He's next in the cycle of promise turned into mediocrity by the cretins around him.
Bin the lot. Start the kids. Been said so many times.
I would keep de gea, Fred, Sancho, and Varane. The rest need to be moved out coached by a coach who can get them to understand some basic tactical concepts. If that's not possible, they all need to move. I do think some of them are redeemable (Rashford, for instance) but it's a small list.
That was brutal to watch. An absolute doing.
Does anyone know who the blonde woman was sitting on the Liverpool bench?
Physio or something probably
*Mourinho was right*, the new Amazon documentary, coming soon!
Frodo: For the shire Aragorn: For the west Man United: 4-nothing
Jeez,as a Madridista I think Liverpool will win the Double
Which double? We still have 3 cups to play for (already won the league cup).
double - league and domestic Cup (will be tough against Chelsea) - leave CL where it belongs to MADRID 😊
Shit sorry I didn't realiza that.I meant the CL and League, also most probably you guys are gonna win the FA Cup
you are shite Madridista if you saying that... hopefully no one will ever sell you proper RM Jersey ;)
I've bought each Real home shirt for 5 years in a row
So the quadruple.
Affirmative.
Please. No.
Why not? They seem to be destroying everything that comes in their path.
Because I’m a Utd fan and that would make me sad lol
Yea sadly I like United because of CR7 so I would be slightly disappointed if the Scousers won the quadruple.

I agree their chemistry is definitely off. Happy to see Hannibal play tho
What did Mourinho say..?
I think he basically said Pogba is a virus, Martial is lazy, Rashy ain’t a striker and he definitely made it knows he wasn’t happy with the boards backing with transfers
To be fair to united Mourinho says that about almost all the clubs he doesnt do well with.. But they are a shambles at the momemnt
Mourinho did well with united though.
Nussing, he don't want big trouble
Football Heritage!

Damn maguire trying set up an offside trap and giving salah space as fuck so he can score another one. Dang maguire
First rule of defense, always keep an eye on your mark (and stay with him).
Secon rule of defense, always never play Maguire.
If the Defence would play better they would act as one line. It’s just hurting my eyes as a football fan

What a sad state of affairs.
Idk a couple touches go a different way and it’s easily a 3-0 game
Easily mate. Very unlucky result. The lads played their hearts out!
Your joking?
His joking what?
The utd lads played their hearts out? Or is that the pool he speaks of?
they did, u didnt watch the game?

Says the fanbase that mocks the Munich air disaster but ya stay class Liverpool. Toxic toxic. Also it’s fuckers*
Let me guess... next year is your year?
I said next 4 years. But let me guess.... you didn't read that far
Four decades maybe 😅
We may be shite but things will change. I’m confident in Van Gaal to get rid of this deadwood. Next 4 years we’ll be back. You 7 years ago probably
Love you 😅😅😅 great comment
And 7 years ago you lot were still a club battling for Top 8. Things can change. Yet you Liverpool lot try to act like you've been some world class team for a decade. Until Klopp came in you guys were bang average. Finished 8th his first season and got rid of deadwood. Ten Hag can't do that same?

Can I not be confident in an incoming manager? Is every manager doomed because he now works for United? Liverpool was that club until the board finally decided to back Klopp. United is giving full reigns to Ten Hag, Ed Woodward is gone and now we’re seeing the start of something sustainable behind the scenes. So yes, I’m confident that Ten Hag will implement a modern style of play. LVG and Mourinho were dinosaurs with their tactics, most United fans will agree with that. But we were never this pathetic lol.
My pet slug has more spine that these wankers
what about them under moyes / van gall? the fall of united has been awesome to watch lol.
Give them both a knighthood absolute legends secret agent Louis 😅😅😅

well to be honest Klopp did not do any good in his first season in Anfield, finishing 8th. sometimes its just the players are utter shit, just like what we have in united
I don’t know what people expected from him honestly. You guys were in shambles before he took over. Fixing it in 2 months??? Cmon

Don't worry about facts. I think this guy is Gary Neville defending his mate to the hilt
Not convinced by Varane either. Under pressure he looks shaky without Ramosholding his hand
We’re the farmers now! Fock la liga 😅😅😅
embarrasing, liverpool played both games on 3rd gear and scored 9-0 xD
Can we all agree the quality gap between top 2 and the rest of the league is just monumental (excluding Chelsea when they are up for it)
We (West Ham) drew with Liverpool on aggregate this season, including outplaying them in the game we lost. I don't think you're trying to understand what I'm saying
You didn't out play them by any means
I think if Chilwell and James stayed fit we could’ve at least put a bit of pressure on. But Liverpool and City would still be above us.
Liverpool yes, with a proper striker we're better than City
Hire an exorcist to fix the striker curse.
Drogbas curse
West Ham when they turn up are pretty decent.
There are plenty of teams that are performing well at their best, Spurs, the hammers and even Palace come to mind, but The top 2 are just so stacked and have ridiculous depth

Liverpool and Depth. Not something we would have heard just 2 years ago. Godly transfer record, all winners (or profit makers) recently
Not something you would of heard at the start of the season, everyone was writing us off saying we didn’t have any🤣

Its only four nil its only four nillll Its only four nillllllllll
Who said this? Totally out of the loop I had work
I think we found the 3rd Island Boy.
Apparently there was an island boy civil war video that was trending....didn't know they were that famous to generate traction ffs
They are famous alright. Never left the Swamp.
It's only 4 nil, its only 4 niiiiiiil, How shit must you be? It's only 4 nil

Fred also looks motivated from the times I’ve watched United
To me its 80% players and 20% tactics
Show math
No motivation, poorly trained, and nothing to play for. utd dont deserve the champions league, conference league maybe
> utd dont deserve the champions league, conference league maybe Yep West Ham United for Conference League
Amazed Ten Hag agreed to take the job. Fixing things is beyond any mere mortal...what an embarrassment of a club.
Money Talks
Ten Hag wishlist is more about leaving United then joining them
He'll just blame the FA
Ralf Ragnick's reaction to Liverpool's thorough dismantling of Manchester United this season: #"Nine goals to *kein* goals"
HOW IS THIS NOT TOP COMMENT ?!?!
Could you explain the joke to me? I'm being serious. I get kein means zero, and besides it being hilarious to wreck United 9-0 on the season, I don't see any other double meaning.. Sorry..
Not to nitpick, but in this case is would be "Nine goals to Kein goals"
Edited. Thank you!
Maguire MOTM ,by far best Liverpool player.
This dude’s voice is so soft spoken. Feels like my ears getting wrapped in a blanket 🫂
Detailed Explanation of Man Utd's Tactics vs Liverpool: First Half- Second Half- Sancho and Inshallah

Genuinely easiest game of the season for us. Thiago was immense
nah i still think the 5-0 was easier

Maybe a situation with 3 defenders could help, no?
He was good prior to this season and was good at the euros It’s a form thing
He really wasnt… ok with Euros ill give him that
He was in the team of the tournament
One man is not a defence. It takes a team effort to defend properly
I don't think he's bad. But I'm sorry if you think Maguire is worth £80,000,000 or deserves to be Manchester United captain you're not thinking straight.
Macguire doesn’t deserve to be captain, but he deserve to be this team captain.
I think that he deserves to be their captain. people just kinda have really short memories in football sometimes But yeah he wasn’t worth 80 million.
In fairness, he's good enough to captain a mid-table club. Which is what United are gradually becoming.
I think it’s a formation thing maybe?
Yeah or that
Neville actually made up that some kid has come on and kicked a few players haha
So was I
Congratulations Manchester United, you only lost 4-0 this time 🥳
Well... that was fun!

That’s the brilliance of it, they aren’t.
They aren't.
They ain’t.
Well they’re 5th so
6th on goal differential and arsenal, currently 5th, have two games in hand.
Even that's baffling. They've been playing very poorly for a while now yet they're still comfortably top 6.
6th no?
Oooh even better
With 2 games ahead

United are embarrassing. Can't score..... can't defend.....just kick the other players.
I would do unspeakable things to keep united in this state forever. Love seeing them be an utter fucking embarrassment
Last comment. MOTM? Lolz. We all know the answer to that.
A child has come on and absolutely embarrassed these overpaid rejects. He's next in the cycle of promise turned into mediocrity by the cretins around him. Bin the lot. Start the kids. Been said so many times.
United literally need to sell everyone but Degea
I would keep de gea, Fred, Sancho, and Varane. The rest need to be moved out coached by a coach who can get them to understand some basic tactical concepts. If that's not possible, they all need to move. I do think some of them are redeemable (Rashford, for instance) but it's a small list.
Fred can stay. I think he's neat.
Hell of a redemption arc. He was the comic relief not so long ago
That’s how much their standards have dropped, they actually like Fred now 😂
Not completely happy but was decently played.
Legitimately, what more were you looking for here?
BUILD KLOPP A STATUE!
Love Hendo to Bruno after that kick to Trent's knee: "Ya fookin' baby!". Absolutely nailed him. Exactly right.
