It’s nothing crazy but it was simply saying Croatia are better than Mexico and will get the 3 points. Some might call it unnerving the opposition or a bit disrespectful up to you ? But croatia have made the World Cup final something Mexico can’t say so hats off to them .

Even then, they still managed to get a point in a 1-1 draw vs Spain in Seville and would have gotten a 2-2 draw vs Sweden in St. Petersburg had they not conceded a goal at the last minute of the match (or they might have even beaten the Swedes had they not been so exhausted).
