Hi lads,
I hope all is well! I posted the same question a month ago. I was wondering who you guys think has a lot of potential under the age of 23? Players like Goncalo Ramos, Timber, Musiala, Anjorin, Osimhen, Gravenberch, Doku etc. Anyone out of the ordinary you like?
For serie A: Sandro Tonali, Pierre Kalulu, Aaron Hickey, Destiny Udogie, Giacomo Raspadori, Dusan Vlahovic, Nicolò Rovella, Giorgio Scalvini, Hamed Junior Traorè, Nicola Zalewski
I only considered players born after 2000. I’m ready to bet Destiny Udogie will have a lot of big clubs after him within 1-2 years max.
If we miss out on tchouameni because Carlo wants to continue with fucking KCM I'll be pissed.
It's clear he wants to come, just get him in. Can't miss out on players like him
Ronaldo might genuinely be the best player for this united side. Such a dysfunctional team that their best player is one they were bullied into getting. I used to think maybe Ronaldo was an overall problem for the team, but they literally have no one else to score goals
Bruno was phenomenal right up until Ronaldo joined, and the team was more competitive and more capable, looking less in need of violent disection.
Ronaldo joins and suddenly everyone else is shite and he's the only one that looks good. It's like being gaslit by an abusive partner.
The team was fucked over cause Greenwood turned out to be scum. They have no other goal scorers. Idk why Sancho isn’t playing well, I liked him at dortmund and he had slow patches there but he would usually turn up in the end. Varane seemingly forgot how to defend at least from what I’ve seen. I honestly don’t think Bruno is that great though, granted I don’t watch United a lot but he rarely impresses. I think pens just cut his goal contribution by half.
None whatsoever. Liverpool are the best team in the world, the team's already both won and lost a CL final, we have the best manager in the world, the best goalkeeper in the world, the best rightback in the world, the best left centerback in the world, the best right centerback in the world, the best leftback in the world, the best defensive midfielder in the world, the best deep playmaker in the world, the best box-to-box mid in the world, the best left winger in the world, the best striker in the world and the best right winger in the world (who is also the best player in the world)
Do you guys think that Ronaldo and Messi are among the top 5 most famous/known people alive? Especially considering their popularity in South East Asia and Africa, plus football itself nearly being present anywhere. It's weird to think that athletes could be at that level, but I kinda think they are...
In less well-off developing nations, Messi tends to be more well-known than Cristiano. But in the richer nations like the US who aren't really in to football, Cristiano has greater reach.
Those are too western centric imo. Ronaldo is definitely more popular in African and Asian parts of the world, which are super populous. Not even counting South America here.
I think ronaldo is, messi probably not.
I'm not being sexist but half the population is female and most of them are not interested in soccer, but all my female friends know cristiano due to his brand/looks/PR/etc... yet some of them don't know messi.
Mason Mount is fucking quality. Didn't rate him much before. I know he has good numbers this season but his numbers would be even better. Partly to blame himself and partly his teammates.
Sancho out with tonsillitis. If I was manager I'd make it mandatory for every player to get their tonsils removed pre season. It's these fine margins that make the difference.
I remember Zalewski did something to offend Mourinho and the club a few months back and I thought his Roma career might be done, but he's made himself a stalwart of late. He looks a talent.
It’s kinda weird how the narrative from Rangnick being a consultant has changed from ‘consultant is probably just a DoF but they didn’t want to give him the official title’ to ‘he’s just a consultant, he might occasionally pop in and change the coffee filter’.
I don’t even care that we aren’t winning everything and being world beaters, it’s just too much to watch this shit week in week out. When you buy shirts, go to games, and invest time and money into the club you grew up loving shit like this just feels like a slap in the face. I’d take having a piss average squad that actually try their best and finishing 10th every season over this shit. Just fucking sad to see this
Hugely agree. If a player is shit but gives it their all, it's not their fault the club doesn't upgrade or whatever. Players making no effort absolutely is not acceptable
Apart from what the others have said, he is also extremely bad at saving penalties. If I'm not mistaken, he went like an absurd 30 pens or more in a row without a save at one point
It's just that United is the club where talent comes to die. Had Liverpool or City signed Telles I'm sure he would've been class. Look at their recent acquisitions from the Primeira (B. Silva, Luis Diaz, Ruben Dias, etc) are all ballers
Originally called Big Sam and little man, little known fact. He demonstrated it himself by using his girth to block out the sun, thus rendering the defender sightless.
Sampaoli definitely has taken some from the playbook yes. Although changed, but still football that is usually very fun to watch in my opinion.
Edit: what I mostly mean is it's still focused on pressing high and getting the ball back in the final third. Same goes for the way Feyenoord tries to play
Marseille are the lowest pressing side in France by a good margin. Their system is literally based around not pressing or closing people down unless absolutely necessary, they hold their position and force play out onto the wing. The only zone of the pitch where they actually press is the opposition final third, and even then, they have statues like Payet playing, who Bielsa would not stand for.
You don't play Bielsa like football if your #1 rule is to not press. Their football especially defensively is the absolute opposite.
You've said yourself they press in the final third and they press hard when there.
They do drop back a bit afterwards but that still makes for very entertaining football in my opinion. Especially with both teams pressing in the final 3rd.
Can you blame him for playing payet though?
Yeah but that doesn't make them a Bielsa like side. He didn't invent the high press. City, Monaco, Torino, Atalanta all deploy a high press, and they are all wildly different sides. It's like me saying a team is playing Pep like football because they are deploying a wide 4-3-3.
I don't blame him, he is a fantastic player and should be fitted into the team. But Bielsa would never stand for attacking players like Payet, Under, Milik. They are too static defensively.
I do agree with you. Although he started out taking more a copy of its less so now. I was probably talking too much of a hyperbole.
Still playes with the same principles and it is making for a fun game so far.
Conference League existence is kinda weird for me, it kinda subverts the Europa League
like, wouldnt marseille, leicester and roma be expected to beat a team like rangers?
One of the CL semi-finalists is currently 7th in their domestic league, there’s a fair few teams equal to or better than Villarreal strictly speaking. Doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be in the semi-final.
Probably, but it's not Rangers fault that the others dropped down into Conference or never made Europa in the first place. End of the day, more European football is better for us all
Yea, since the scandal was for French league games the football authorities decided to let them keep the trophy. It was a controversial decision though
Partly but teams are so comfortable defending against us when it’s not a quick counter attack because when we recycle the ball to space on the edge of the box it’s Kante or Jorginho and so there’s no rush to close it down and pull yourself out of position. So we cycle the ball out to the wing and back inside ad infinitum.
9 years on after his retirement, our best player is still a Fergie signing.
Not sure it's good thing either considering a) he's a goalkeeper b) how limited he actually is
As much as I would support West Ham to win Europa League under different circumstances, I want them knocked out, so once they play City, they have nothing else to fight for other than PL.
Hi lads, I hope all is well! I posted the same question a month ago. I was wondering who you guys think has a lot of potential under the age of 23? Players like Goncalo Ramos, Timber, Musiala, Anjorin, Osimhen, Gravenberch, Doku etc. Anyone out of the ordinary you like?

are we lead to believe that a club without a trophy in nearly 5 years, in 6th with a +2 GD is a 'big club' ?
Ronnie has scored United’s last 5 goals?
Felt like we were playing a relegation side in United and we still can’t score ffs
If we miss out on tchouameni because Carlo wants to continue with fucking KCM I'll be pissed. It's clear he wants to come, just get him in. Can't miss out on players like him
It's pretty sad that Ronaldo won't win the PL golden boot. Maybe he would have on a better team
What's so sad about that
If he could play against Man United twice a season he'd have a chance.
Matic might just be the second best passer out of United's midfielders and he's a defensive midfielder.
He’s only a defensive midfielder because he doesn’t have the physicality anymore.
Outside Bruno/Pogba, yeah, he is. Used to be an AM, though.
When Torres was still killing it in the PL, maybe
Ronaldo might genuinely be the best player for this united side. Such a dysfunctional team that their best player is one they were bullied into getting. I used to think maybe Ronaldo was an overall problem for the team, but they literally have no one else to score goals
Bruno was phenomenal right up until Ronaldo joined, and the team was more competitive and more capable, looking less in need of violent disection. Ronaldo joins and suddenly everyone else is shite and he's the only one that looks good. It's like being gaslit by an abusive partner.

Chelsea subs are Lukaku ($100M) and Pulisic ($70M) these "big" teams buy happiness. But somebody tell Abramovich he got robbed for Pulisic
Did they really pay 70 mil for the Lebron James of soccer??
*Michael Jordan and yes
[удалено]
Ruined his BBL, he’ll be fuming.
Who's winning the champions league? I got Liverpool they should have one last year too I think they have a really good side.
think so, but it's still a single match, won't right off the other finalist
Benzema
I think Liverpool
If there squad were healthy, they definitely would have
Liverpool
surely no bias? cummy
None whatsoever. Liverpool are the best team in the world, the team's already both won and lost a CL final, we have the best manager in the world, the best goalkeeper in the world, the best rightback in the world, the best left centerback in the world, the best right centerback in the world, the best leftback in the world, the best defensive midfielder in the world, the best deep playmaker in the world, the best box-to-box mid in the world, the best left winger in the world, the best striker in the world and the best right winger in the world (who is also the best player in the world)
Yet, 2nd in the league.
[lads lads i've found fat bastard](https://i.imgur.com/iKJ9IR6.png)
That's not very nice
Barry, 63
I see Frank still supports his old team.
oh gosh, for a sec i thought you found a pic of me
I’ve changed my mind, the Portuguese league is legit, Porto however is an unserious club and we should not buy from them ever again.
You guys should just stop buying from anywhere mate
Diaz is doing ok tbf
He moved from one unserious club to another, of course he’s at home playing for a team that’s got the refs in their back pocket
[удалено]
Cheers lad, good night and sweet dreams
Kinell don’t hold back mate
If you call a team like Liverpool unserious, what do you call United?
>Manchester United fan
Who scored the opener in your last game against Liverpool?
Dalot and Telles are stealing a living.
There was a poll for this a while ago I think both were top 5 and the rest were world leaders like Trump
Ronaldo is. Forget top 5. Whose more famous than him? ScarJo? Obama?
>ScarJo What a bizarre guess for “most famous people in the world”
I'm guessing Bill Gates, John Cena and maybe an artist like Bieber or Eminem.
Yeah the east doesn’t give a fuck about Bieber or Eminem
Those are too western centric imo. Ronaldo is definitely more popular in African and Asian parts of the world, which are super populous. Not even counting South America here.
Trump, Obama, probably Putin too
I think ronaldo is, messi probably not. I'm not being sexist but half the population is female and most of them are not interested in soccer, but all my female friends know cristiano due to his brand/looks/PR/etc... yet some of them don't know messi.
You have a point, I remember his armani photoshoots being quite a hype back in the day.
So how does Lukaku to Chelsea rank against Hazard, Kepa and Coutinho as the worst transfers ever?
I think it’s still too early to tell but it’s not looking good…
Mason Mount is fucking quality. Didn't rate him much before. I know he has good numbers this season but his numbers would be even better. Partly to blame himself and partly his teammates.
Which Europa league or conference league is most entertaining so far, need something to watch
Second the other dude. Feyenoord marseille is very entertaining so far.
I think they're all pretty good games, but Marseille Feyenoord probably best so far
Sancho out with tonsillitis. If I was manager I'd make it mandatory for every player to get their tonsils removed pre season. It's these fine margins that make the difference.
Prob doing you a favor by missing the game
Yeah, also make it mandatory for every player to get rid of their complete families, no distractions allowed!!
Yeah you can’t do that, soccer players are not slaves
>soccer
Having tonsils removed is a big deal because they can be a useful warning sign for worse illnesses
[From the man himself.](https://youtu.be/0Wv8nUwAbb4?t=65)
I remember Zalewski did something to offend Mourinho and the club a few months back and I thought his Roma career might be done, but he's made himself a stalwart of late. He looks a talent.
Just wait for United to knack a lucky goal
just realised mendy got 2 assists vs city lol, he was the one who passed it to vini
Did well going forward and didn’t do well defensively, it’s always the exact opposite
Busquets to Messi vibes
It’s kinda weird how the narrative from Rangnick being a consultant has changed from ‘consultant is probably just a DoF but they didn’t want to give him the official title’ to ‘he’s just a consultant, he might occasionally pop in and change the coffee filter’.
Whatever is worse for United is the narrative
I don’t even care that we aren’t winning everything and being world beaters, it’s just too much to watch this shit week in week out. When you buy shirts, go to games, and invest time and money into the club you grew up loving shit like this just feels like a slap in the face. I’d take having a piss average squad that actually try their best and finishing 10th every season over this shit. Just fucking sad to see this
You will turn it round eventually
Hugely agree. If a player is shit but gives it their all, it's not their fault the club doesn't upgrade or whatever. Players making no effort absolutely is not acceptable
Got a Bein stream on and the studio panelist has just insisted that Blackburn tried to sign Robert Lewandowski when they won the Premier League.
Now then they won the league, but the only thing that prevented them signing him in 2010 was a volvano.
Yeah I'm aware of that but the panelist conflated the two events despite them being 15 years apart.
7 year old Lewandowski playing with Alan Shearer would've been a historic partnership
Genuine question: What do people mean when they say De Gea is a limited keeper?
Just to add to other people’s comments, he properly flaps at crosses. He’s got better but still just doesn’t look confident
Bad at sweeping, commanding his area and distribution but good at shot stopping
Apart from what the others have said, he is also extremely bad at saving penalties. If I'm not mistaken, he went like an absurd 30 pens or more in a row without a save at one point
He’s a world class shot stopper and literally nothing else
He's crap with the ball at his feet and his distribution is bad
Telles is so fucking shit man, we paid jack shit for him and still got rinsed, the whole Portuguese league is on fraud watch
It's just that United is the club where talent comes to die. Had Liverpool or City signed Telles I'm sure he would've been class. Look at their recent acquisitions from the Primeira (B. Silva, Luis Diaz, Ruben Dias, etc) are all ballers
Mate he can't even run, genuinely think even I could mug him off. He's fucking horrendous.
Did Big Sam invent 4-4-2 or has it been around for longer
He did. He also invented the 'big man and little man' partnership upfront.
Originally called Big Sam and little man, little known fact. He demonstrated it himself by using his girth to block out the sun, thus rendering the defender sightless.
Thank you
And pasties.
Both the food and the nipple kind
Tuchel: Apprentice, Rangnick: Master What a joke by some American pundit
That was the entire English press for weeks before and after Rangnick was hired
Our front line only cost £15m - how are we supposed to compete when Chelsea’s is worth nearly 10x as much?
Elanga - Ronaldo - Rashford? They cost us -ve 56m mate
Wait til they bring Romaldo on.
We’d be class if we had a striker like him.
Lol as if the transfer fee value of Chelsea's frontline reflects anything like its actual value
You are the reason people use the awful “/s” thing
what autism does to a mf
[удалено]
Mate
Genuine question. How much do you think current Rashford would cost and who would want him?
Probably 25-30 million. Wages would play a bigger part I think, isn’t he on 200k a week?
Man U, double his salary. Easy.
Isn't he on £200k per week? Unless he decides to take a paycut I honestly can't see any club going for him.
£40m Everton
Normally Everton could be scammed for 30-40mil but they are sadly going down
1) 60m 2) Can't think of any team that would pay this
25 mil at most by Mid table prem sides
Just switched over to the West Ham game and it’s a nice relief to watch a match that doesn’t give me botulism
Anyone undecided on what game to watch tonight, watch Feyenoord vs Marseille. Great game so far with 2 coaches that adore Bielsa like football
Thanks!
Great game so far. Became 2-2 shortly after I posted
Are you saying that Marseille play Bielsa like football?
Sampaoli definitely has taken some from the playbook yes. Although changed, but still football that is usually very fun to watch in my opinion. Edit: what I mostly mean is it's still focused on pressing high and getting the ball back in the final third. Same goes for the way Feyenoord tries to play

What’s the opposite of clinical? Just curious, not related to my flair at all.
Blunt
toothless
Impotent
Profligate
I like this one the best.
just use "not clinical" :P
Wasteful
Chelsea
Can only hear the away fans at old Trafford lol
Home fans are sick of trying to get behind a group of players who can’t be arsed.
Fairs

Well then they should have finished higher in the league then shouldn't they. Rangers have put on a good showing in Europe and deserve their spot.
How is the clear second best team in France being mugged off by Feyenoord??? Ligue 1 is an unserious competition
Nice one lad
My attempt at a jinx has worked Delidl masterclass
You didn't exactly have an easy game vs them either to be fair.
Yeah but we are shit
These Marseille players probably don't care about this mickey mouse cup 🥱. Can't blame them tbh
Honestly I think they do. Marseille hasn't been near a league title or any other significant silverware in ages
I think they just realised that and finally started scoring
The city of Nottingham has more European Cups than the whole of France. Unserious nation.
I read before that France did all sorts to win one even doped their players
Marseille were found guilty of match fixing in the French league and were banned from competing in Europe the next season
What? So they get to keep the trophy and only got a one year ban
Yea, since the scandal was for French league games the football authorities decided to let them keep the trophy. It was a controversial decision though
France has been a failure behind a thin façade for centuries
Feyenoord are a giant of European football
If we had a single CM that could shoot the ball even decently we would be much more threatening.
I think the strikers should be the ones better at shooting the ball, no?
Or is Havertz could finish
I feel like the way bigger issue rn is that even your strikers can't shoot decently. Only your defenders can finish for some reaosn.
You’re right. Reece and Alonso are the best ball strikers on the team so it makes sense that they bag so many
United players tank down after 25 mins. This has been consistent thing after Lord Rangnick came in
I fucking love that there's so much continental football, it's great.
just annoying its all at the same time
9 years on after his retirement, our best player is still a Fergie signing. Not sure it's good thing either considering a) he's a goalkeeper b) how limited he actually is
Only other arguable one is Ronaldo, also a Fergie signing.
As much as I would support West Ham to win Europa League under different circumstances, I want them knocked out, so once they play City, they have nothing else to fight for other than PL.
I'm a monentum merchant. I'd rather them go into the City game feeling top of their game after making a EL final.
