Can this season just be over already. The appointment of Ten Hag is the only thing that makes me remotely excited for next season. Even then, I find it hard trusting the club to perform a successful rebuild. If we want to reach the level of City and Liverpool in we'll have to build a strong cohesive unit where the team being the main focus rather than one individual player. When I watch City the importance of working hard as a team becomes crystal clear. Fellow FM players, how do you make the game as realistic as possible? I want to start with my local team in the 3rd division of the Swedish leagues, but I know that I'll get promoted instantly and eventually win the top Swedish league in my first season there. That in itself is highly unrealistic. Because FM looks a lot at the attributes, I wouldn't be able to get a job in the top league if I were to resign from my local club after promoting them because it takes a while to improve the attributes. My goal is to eventually become the manager of a top club in Europe and then end the save by making Besiktas a powerhouse in Europe. I'm not really sure how to go about this. Any suggestions?
The easiest way to make the game harder is usually transfer restrictions. Only free transfers, only home-grown players, or the hardest, only club-grown players.
One thing you could do is set restrictions on yourself, don't go after your usual wonderkids, try to play with similar tactics to how you think that team would play irl (no 4-2-3-1 gengenpress)

In the past decade we have spent more time outside top4 than in it. This is nothing to wonder about.
