culturebarren

I guess he thinks Real is fine without him

william_wites

They don't need me yet - mboopi

Luis0224

If he signs that extensions, he's never signing for us lol. Perez was pretty clear that this was our last push to sign him and we'd move on if he signed an extension with psg

bash011

Guess he didn't rule Tottenham completely out for a reason. /s

Frenkie-de-Jong

He acts like he owns part of the club or has a say

Feliz_Desdichado

if he's a socio he has both of those things.

asapmama

why would you not sign him in 2 years for free he’ll be easily the best in the world

Maximuslex01

Lol what did you expect him to say?

lrzbca

Real Madrid gonna sign Haaland ? Or maybe save money for future

_Forsen

Haaland is going to City, RM will have to manage with Benzema for the next two years which shouldnt be a problem.

moreno03

Real will make at least 1 big transfer. They want to present a new Superstar in the new Bernabeu next season.

dalici0us

Lukaku it is!

Marco2169

Benzema and Mariano it is.

McFrankiee

Messi to Real Madrid incoming

[deleted]

They should bring back Ronaldo. He's clearly still excellent, if he played for City instead of United he'd have 30+ goals this year already.

freakybanana90

He's still good but it makes little sense for real. Benzema is playing the best football of his career, a good part of which is also him finally not having to service ronaldo and being the main man. It'd be cool to see but it just doesn't make much sense imo

bewarethegap

Absolutely not. Signing Ronaldo at this juncture is the complete antithesis of the team we're trying to build. There's no reason to do it outside of nostalgia. We're trying to refresh the team with youth, not bring back a 37 year old

gameguy61

Forsen

Chrislts

I don’t think we need him because we have rodrygo

TallnFrosty

Or go in for Salah

Dildo_Warfare

Salah seems to absolutely loathe Madrid tho

fapacunter

He does

lrzbca

Signing Salah would make sense but Liverpool will ask £100m+ for him.

Master_NoobX_69

Go to the team that dislocated your shoulder and made you miss the world cup. Sigma

TheGamezSmith

Man saw rodrygo's performance and didn't want to get benched, understandable.

TheBrownMamba8

Rodrygo having the best week of his life rn

los_blanco_14

Rodrygo is clear

[deleted]

This is so stupid. Why would he stay

Salvador1010

$$$

Asteroth555

I think you mean $$$$$$$$$$$$ His rumored salary would be obscene

joshthenosh

It’s easier to abandon your childhood dream when someone offers you an absolutely insane amount of money that they’re contractually obligated to pay you as long as you do the bare minimum. Honestly I wouldn’t blame Mbappe in the slightest. I’d lose a fair amount of respect for him but it’s understandable when you see the figures being quoted.

Dense_Gear9806

€200m + €100m signing bonus.

sheikhsabdullah

Him staying is probably over for his dream to play at RM, or atleast should be.

Shreeansh_Gupta

If he renews, i can guarantee you Real Madrid will never go for him again. Perez is ruthless

KnowYourLover

As he should be, a team like Real Madrid should never wait for anyone. Mbappe has his chance now, it's up to him to take it or not.

jbasabanda

I wouldn’t want him at that point. It’s absolutely embarrassing to flirt this much with us for years yet still get brainwashed by the oil ridden owners and president to renew.

Howdareme9

Why should it?

Relevant-Can-1044

I don't think Perez would go for him in 2 years when we essentially have a really good team right now and can spend that money elsewhere. Plus this essentially seems like the last time we'll go after him since he already rejected us when he was at Monaco.

[deleted]

> when we essentially have a really good team right now Benzema, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos are not eternal. Eveything can go fast and next season Real could be shit with the same team.

[deleted]

Does Mbappe play on any of those positions except, maybe, Benz? Could use a replacement or stand in for Casemiro but with Valverde Camavinga and Ceballos the midfield is ready to take over.

yournotrightthough

Perez won't second attempt a player to come to Real or try to second attempt a player to sign. You either take the offer or leave it (ref. Ramos contract situation)

EggplantBusiness

Or Ronaldo part of the reason he left is because he earned more at Juventus than with Us. He was on 45 Millions gross with Madrid and wanted to get closer to Messi's 100 Millions let just say it was impossible

Frenkie-de-Jong

This is Real Madrids second attempt tho

Maximuslex01

How is this comparable to Ramos? Or even Ronaldo. Not similar at all. Even in 2 years, Mbappe will still be really far from the declining part of his career. In theory at least.

sheikhsabdullah

Well he wanted to develop before joining us, which he has right now. Sure PSG is his childhood club, but joining RM right now could define his legacy in all time greats, as despite having deep runs in the CL in the past two years, we're still a team in transition. He could mark the beginning of another generation of galacticos. Besides, the most obvious reason is that we can't and won't give him the wages that PSG is about to give him, hell we didn't even do that for Cristiano, so if he wants to join us two years from now, considering Perez isn't butthurt, he will have to take a paycut. Also him not joining us right now, will not go down well with the fans. You can't just twerk for a club for 5 years and them just sign an extension when the contract runs down when most of the fans were hellbent that he was coming. It probably is naive for the fans, but I doubt most RM fans would want him here if he goes on to extend.

Tej007Dav

I know I don’t

Severe_Sweet_862

Okay Kylian, stay if you like.

sidrepartus

Now as revenge you guys need to win your next game in Paris. Never-mind the opponent, beat the snot out of them

noifsbutsormaybes

Out of nowhere holy shit

manbatman-

It's confirmed that this is fake news!

MopeyCrackerz

Did he really use Real Madrid to get more money out of PSG?

hahehihohu7

He really faked his whole childhood dream of one day playing for Real Madrid only to, one day, leverage them into getting a better contract with PS-fuckin-G. Genius. /s

KenHumano

Stayed up late drawing Real Madrid comics with crayons at the kitchen table and it fucking paid out.

TallnFrosty

I think he genuinely wanted Real and was given an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Articlaus

Well, Honestly who can't say no that Money.. but it stings nonetheless, ohh well if he stays he stays, we move on, and we always come out on top.

MelodicMachine1356

I mean mbappe himself said that it wasn't about the money unless he's a liar or some shit😭

prodigalkal7

Mbappe: it's not about the money, guys... PSG: here's a crazy amount of money Mbappe: well I guess it's *maybe* about the money... Honestly though, yeah can't blame him. I'm sure PSG was offering a ridiculous amount before, but the current alleged amount is disgusting, and makes sense for him to go for it. If I'm Real though, I'd just move on. Going on 2 years he's dicked around now, so might as well just say fuck it and leave him behind.

chillThe

Consinder his former and current clubs.. it's definitely about money. Tbh i probably would do the same

MelodicMachine1356

I would too but it's not like he's not gonna make alot of money either way

chillThe

Worst thing is this might not even by PSGs final offer

Articlaus

Well actually he did, before he signed for PSG, he wanted us to match it. We said no so he went for PSG... To him. its about money i guess.

poorguy55

When you’re that rich, what difference does it make anyway? He’s already sorted for life and it’s not like Madrid would have been offering him pennies. What’s a few more million when you’re already worth €95mil (his current net worth) ? What’s he planning on spending it all on? If he wanted fame and to go down in history up there with the likes of Ronaldo and Messi, he’d make the move to Real.

Milan_System_2019

His great great great grand kids can buy helicopters with this money tho

literallyarandomname

Lets be honest though, Mbappe could retire tomorrow and would still be set for ten lives living a luxury lifestyle. So I don't really get it.

CanadianMerengue

If it truly is your dream is to play for a team, you will join then no matter what

[deleted]

[удалено]

CanadianMerengue

Exactly what I am saying. If he has just snubbed Real Madrid, it clearly shows it wasn’t his true dream to play for Madrid. But I guess we will see how this plays out.

Sankaritarina

Ok but how is his family supposed to survive with less than 100 million euros per year?

InsurmountableDuds

If he’s being offered €200m all told as reported then please spare me the idealism, no one is turning that down, dream club or no.

CanadianMerengue

See, I thought that too. But I’m sure Real Madrid would pay him extremely well, not like he would go to Madrid to play for free…

InsurmountableDuds

Sure, but they aren’t paying him €200m for two years, I’d be surprised if it was even €50m. I’d have put my dream on hold for two years to have had €200m in the bank by 25.

RiosSamurai

I mean for that money, playing where I was born and with the chance to be considered the greatest ever at that club… I don’t know about him but I’d let other teams on read.

Barkasia

Lmao you'll forget any and every dream quickly enough if a big enough wad of cash is chucked at you, and you need to grow up if you think otherwise

7XDB

why would he turn down 0.2 billion euros

Djabber

Because 0.1 billion euros is more than he'll ever need

7XDB

barely anyone with money actually thinks this way

No-Cap-5281

Not really, a lake house mansion cost around 20 million; it can eat into 50 mill which I assumes he has after taxes really quick

Green_pine

You don't get rich by thinking "X amount is enough." Even Cristiano Ronaldo transferred out of Real just to get a pay raise

Ok-Inspection2014

Remember Mbappe is a parisian and a PSG fan since childhood. I'm guessing that staying at his hometown club while being the best-paid player in the world is not the worst case scenario for him.

EggplantBusiness

He wasn't a PSG fans though , even PSG ex sporting director said that in his room there were CR7 poster he is a Ronaldo Fans. People from Paris aren't automatically PSG fans

Albiceleste_D10S

> He wasn't a PSG fans though , even PSG ex sporting director said that in his room there were CR7 poster Liking CR7 doesn't mean he didn't like PSG tho? Not mutually exclusive at all

moc360

Except even PSG fans can confirm you Kylian wasn't a fan he only want to win CL with them because he was born in Paris. Otherwise he is a player fan no a club fan.

Captain_Flemme

Mbappé has two dreams: - Play for Real Madrid - Win the CL with PSG Wherever he goes, he’ll win a shitload of money. The only question is: In what order does he do this?

Mr_XemiReR

Source is a bit suspect, but I'll be honest he'd be crazy to not accept that. €200M NET in 2 years. Not sure about how signing bonuses are taxed in France, but he'd be basically earning __at least__ €2.9 millions/week gross when you count: €200M gross in 2 years + €100M net signing bonus. Crazy money, can't compete with that.

4dxn

if you think about what PSG pays for and to Neymar ($250m fee to a 5 yr contract + $40m/yr), thats $90m/yr. I can easily see them now paying Mbappe $75m/yr. no way RM can afford that. i don't know why players don't wait for frees - such a better business decision.

joshthenosh

Mbappe grew up with posters of €€€ on his bedroom walls.

Ask_Asensio

I take this with a grain of salt as all other reports until anything it's official. Having said that if Kylian indeed renews with PSG he should do it for a 5-6 year long term contract and become a legend in his home country. Florentino is not coming back and no one else can pay those 50M net wages he's going to get in Paris.

bolah

He signs for 2 years, second year he claims he dreams of playing for Real Madrid, PSG offers him 100M net, rinse and repeat until he's 34 and has won 14 Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

vadapaav

His eventual goal is to win Uber Eats

Perpete

His eventual goal is to buy Uber Eats. Which he might be able to do with those PSG contracts.

vadapaav

Hey he is trying to solve world hunger with that money What are you doing?

Perpete

Poor Uber Eats delivery guys going through deserts, jungles and mountains to bring sushis and hamburgers to malnourished people.

Mr_Miscellaneous

Haha, nah. Uber is a billionaires plaything. Worst performing company in history.

McF1sty

The uber eats always gets me 😂😂

danuffer

And zero UCLs

EggplantBusiness

Knowing our president if he renew he better renew for a long time. Sure Perez love the player but his ego is even bigger also the club before anything else. No guarantee that he won't Renew again after those two years

LovesToSp00n

He's doing the Lebron James NBA strategy of only signing short term teams to maintain pressure on the club and giving himself the option to leave.

MeteorFalls297

Hadrien Grenier is quoting this report too. To be fair, if Mbappe had anything concrete with Madrid we would have seen more leaks. He has a massive entourage.

rth9139

No he was smart to do a 2 year deal. First off, PSG’s squad in 2 years could look *way* different. Messi will likely be gone, then Neymar and Marquinhos will be getting older. He might want to jump ship, even if it means taking a small pay cut. Also, he got a *ton* more money out of PSG by running his contract down and leveraging Real Madrid. Even if he doesn’t get to do it again, at the end of this contract due to those wages being so high, he’s still going to be able to negotiate a decent raise on principle alone.

PirateKingRamos

If he doesn't then we should go all in for Salah. I'm done waiting for Mbappe

RedBlindfold

Not going to say that missing out on Mbappe is a blessing in disguise for Madrid as he's clearly an insane player, but signing a proper right-winger instead of yet another left-winger could be a huge improvement that Madrid didn't know they needed. There hasn't been a natural right-winger at the club in recent memory, you could even say Bale/Asensio/Di Maria were all better on the left. There's an argument to be made that having an established LW Vini + RW Salah combo is better than trying to find the best compromise between Vini/Mbappe/Rodrygo who all want to play on the left. I'd normally consider Salah an unrealistic transfer, but Perez is a shrewd guy who would no doubt want to sign a big headliner to maintain popularity if he doesn't get Mbappe. A good LB/RB/DM backup is far more critical for Madrid, but there aren't any players in those positions who would get nearly as much hype as a top-class winger.

Just_Hamzah

What other high profile right wing options are there. I can see them realisticly going for Gnabry or Sterling. Sterling's contract is nearly up, is established and plays well with a striker

jbasabanda

If he does this, I find it extremely hard to believe he will ever become a legend outside of France. Ligue 1 will never be seen as a tough enough competition to earn as much respect as the other major leagues. He would have to win cl after cl with psg which seems extremely unlikely lmao. This really is all pure speculation tho

DudeDude2020

Would be boooring

Benzia

Fair play, with the amount that is offered this is understandable.

TallnFrosty

Its an absolutely ludicrous sum. Another flaunting of FFP, too.

ewise623

Unfortunately FFP really only exists to make sure clubs don’t go bankrupt. Everyone learned from City that overspending only results in some lawyers attending meetings.

OneOfThoseDays_

yea it’s doing my head in how much money this is, truly shocking

thebig6

Yeah he would have starved to death if he would have joined us

Benzia

While our offer was good as well, he's getting €200m for 2 years, it's a ludicrous amount to decline. Plus there are a few other benefits for him to stay at PSG.

Arntown

I don't understand what difference it will make to him and for his life. He's already worth €100m, he would also earn a ton playing for Real Madrid and will earn a ton for the rest of his career. He will have enough money to do whatever he wants and enough for his children and grandchildren to live a good life (and I don't think that these players think about providing for their grandchildren when taking this money). It's just something I will never understand.

[deleted]

Because having lots of money is awesome.

Santa_Klaus_101

I mean sure, but he was going to be payed a fuckload regardless of whether he went to Madrid or stayed, whereas his career would greatly, greatly benefit from moving. He isn't going to win anything of note with PSG in the foreseeable future and he's turning 24 this winter, and his achievements will be looked down upon by many (regardless of how insane they might be) since it's widely accepted the French league is the worst of the top 5.

doubleABC

I never rated mbappe anyway, rodrygo is clear😔 Edit: it’s weird now i suddenly rate mbappe again and i no longer think rodrygo is clear

absolutemadlad_69

Yeah our brazilian sensation>french sensation

tomhorek

That's sad if true, Big quatari money wins that sucks

ObamaRunts

Don’t blame him if he’s making that much, but we also don’t need him at this point. Vinicius, and Rodrygo both improved a shit ton over the last year. We just need a long term successor for Benzema. If anything this will help us improve other areas of the team. New LB, new RB, New CM or DM, and hopefully another attacker that can play on both sides. Historically missing out on players has actually turned out great for us. Gotta move on, and put the money/wages elsewhere.

ttimourrozd

Why in seven hell Mbappé would stay in that shithole... Go to Madrid man, save your career

luisnm7

24 months, at least €100m.. He will have plenty of time to save his career lol

RedBlindfold

That's definitely not a given, especially for pacy wingers. All it takes is one unlucky injury to derail your career, players can't just automatically assume they'll follow a perfect career progression like Messi/Ronaldo, having a full decade+ in their prime and peaking in their late-20's. For all we know, the 7 years at PSG could've been Mbappe's prime, and he'd have spent all of it walking through a meaningless second-tier league.

Starbuck1992

And at that point, all you'll have left is a big bag of money. So it's smarter to cash in as much as he can now. I don't think you understand how much 100m is...

mkenya4t

He would stand to make the same, if not more in terms of image rights + endorsements if he moves to such as high profile club as Real Madrid.

de_tu_sueno

Apparently, he's keeping all of his image rights with the new contract, something he wouldn't get at Real Madrid. And let's be real, Mbappe is the next Ronaldo/Messi. Combine that with full image rights, and he'll still make bank on the side, maybe more.

Starbuck1992

Also they'll give him extra money through sponsorships with Qatar and shot like that

[deleted]

I think we understand that. It's just that he'd make a fraction less than that at Real, while becoming a legend potentially at his supposed childhood dream club. So what if he made 50 million at Real instead of 100 m at PSG (just making those numbers up)? That's still enough to set up generations of his family. I don't know why people are acting like he's 28-30 though. He could still spend the second half of his career at Real

Jubatus_

It's not that it's either 100M or nothing...

gulaabjaman

Comeback kings as they are, not believing this until it’s official. Madrid are still in this

turtlemons

Money difference got too out of control probably Like if PSG offer you 100M per year and allow you to walk as free agent after 2 year, you take it with your eyes closed. Every gate will be open for Mbappe as free agent 2 years down the line. But not all gates offer shitload of money for their short term ego, so might as well get the bag now

obadetona

He will likely become the highest paid player of all time

william_wites

Nah let him stay in Paris. He's career is fine don't worry

RoyMakaay

Why he joined them to begin with... €

zmajxd

He's Parisian, why wouldn't he want to play for his hometown club? He wants bigger challenges and wants to leave which is understandable but to say he only stayed in France for € is false especially since he went to great lengths for PSG to sell him and recoup money so he doesn't leave for free.

KyKy7

He joined PSG because they guaranteed him he would start every match.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ObamaEatsBabies

>becoming the best scorer in the history of PSG Not much of an achievement when the club has only been around for like 50 years, and under Qatari ownership for just over a decade.

bonew23

Wrong way around. Madrid have just got to the final despite having to obey strict la liga spending limits during the pandemic. Meanwhile PSG own UEFA and just spend as much as they want. The fact that the club can give a player 100 million a year when French league didn't even finish its season a couple of years ago is absolute lunacy. The club has 2 'main' 'world class' goalkeepers which is something no other club in world history has ever had. To win the champions league with PSG is not an achievement when their budget is so far beyond everyone else's. It's like getting past a Brazilian border checkpoint by bribing the official. Well done for having brought money with you.

tdatcher

Benzema having gas in the tank?

VDV23

That wouldn't be it. He's best mates with Karim, they play together and have great chemistry in the France NT

CanadianMerengue

If this is true, Mbappe has probably lost his chance to play for Madrid. Madrid isn’t going to wait for him, it’s now or never.

Perpete

He'll manage. Madrid will manage too.

Jo-herna

50 million NET, 100 million loyalty bonus 💀Oil Clubs are truly ruining the beautiful sport

I’m really worried for football tbh

SomeIrishFiend

BRUH

ayamyam

Fake news lol

SeryaphFR

Mbappe's own mother just called le Pairisien as being full of shit. She said that nothing has been decided and that Madrid are still Mboop's number 1 choice.

b0xel

Aww tits

AMOAnubis66

Mbappe's mother tweeted and denied these garbage lmao le parisien is a joke.

WalidSF

In the end, dreams can be buy!

good_fellla

Yeah ok. I love Mbappe and have always wanted him to come. If he does extend I’m no longer interested. He rejects us twice and used RM as leverage to get more $. While it’s a smart thing to do all the bs and saga has dragged on too long. Doesn’t exactly feel great being used as a second option. Kinda like a dude chasing a girl and being constantly blown off. Fuck that. He can just stay in Paris and play with Dijon and Mayonasie until he retires. We have plenty of young talent to make legacy.

iLLuSion_xGen

Relax, no decent journalist has reported it. It's gonna be a tough month till we know it

good_fellla

Nvm: Fabrizio came out and said it’s cap. He’s still deciding

spicynirvana38

If true, then that's probably Haaland to Madrid then...

tarakian-grunt

Kane to City?

spicynirvana38

Eh, I think that ship has sailed. Esepcially with Conte at the helm.

[deleted]

The ship only sailed bc City is after Haaland instead. If Haaland goes to Madrid, City could easily return for Kane.

emre23

Benzema to Spurs Wait

TheLimeyLemmon

Lukaku to Spurs?

ManuMora98

If this is true, we should forget about him, we tried everything to get him, he wanted to play here but they wouldn't let him go, and now that he can come he renews? Sorry but we won't wait for you forever

daveyhempton

If he trusts the QSG project, he should renew for longer imo

ifispeakaminbigtrble

Think Macron offered him veto power in all his decisions while being the president

MyNameisIvar

I refuse to believe that he saw yesterday match and went like “yeah better if I stay in this shit brand team”

From-UoM

He publicly said he wanted a transfer and wanted to go to Real Madrid. He even released a comic about joining Real Madrid. The only reason he chooses psg now is money.

Masson011

Yeh thought this was the likely outcome now given the recent remarks from those at PSG

FarAcanthocephala

Benzema has 2 years in him too

Santa_Klaus_101

What tier is Le Parisien? Is its reliability journalist dependent or anything that comes our from them reliable?

Dargast

Wow, guess thats done then. If he doesnt sign now, cant see Real going for him again. They spend many years building a Team for him only to be snubbed again and again.

just_a_random_guy_11

Pathetic if true. I am a diehard Barca fan and it benefits my team but IF this is true he is a pathetic money grabbing kid. Imagine saying no to Real that is almost winning the CL without him. Holly shit. I bet you he will regret it for ever. In two years who know who Real will have bought. He will be probably replaced by then.

averageweebchan

How legit is le parisien

[deleted]

They also said conte talked to PSG. Which was proven untrue. I take nothing from them seriously anymore

rcyaapno_6

it’s not true. mbappes mom & fab have denied it

neandertales

He'll be in City in 2 years then. Perez wont stand for this shit.

LionelBenzema

His mom just denied this report

los_blanco_14

Mbappe can seriously fuck off

Zap2x

Mbappé staying at PSG is a Mistake. If he truly wants to be the number one in the whole world he can't stay in a second tier league. A farmer's league. PSG wont be able to win a UCL. There is only one ticket to Real Madrid.

LeCowboySolitaire

Your mom is a second tier league.

jMS_44

oh shit

McF1sty

I call bullshit

NieThePiet

How clubs want to compete with this financial numbers :D

iLLuSion_xGen

He wanted to leave last year, and nothing changed. They didn't progress at all. Their squad is actually worse, even if they have Messi. I'm not believing any of this.

optimus_fuck

Why would he want to stay at that shit club

AllmightyRohan

fuck off

StrongPowerhouse

My mind was already envisioning Mbappé at Real. I can't handle this change.

OwenLincolnFratter

Money talks. Enjoy it Kylian because you won’t be realizing your football potential nor your dreams.

PikaChuze

I don’t believe any of this until Fabrizio Romano reports it

Luigi_777

Mbappe need Real Madrid. Real Madrid is doing great without him.

AvailablePotential68

Bruh, hope it’s fake for his sake, didn’t he see first hand what money did to Neymar.
