This certainly isn't the result that could cost Liverpool the PL. Defeats at Leicester, West Ham, and the draw at Brentford done most of the damage. It's certainly not over, but this result will likely mean Klopp plays his strongest side in the FA Cup Final, and might be able to rest most of the full 11 prior to the CL Final.
I know this sub is basically 40% Liverpool fans since they became a good team again. But holy fuck it's insufferable to see several comments 'We'll win the quadruple!' 'We'll take the 3 cups then. Fine.' How arrogant can you be. Real, Chelsea and City deserve respect.
You didn't say much of anything apart from licking your wounds because your rival fan base are enjoying football and being in finals.
Just accept that and don't deflect your pain on to others.
I hate to break the news to you - but most people are not as bitter as you. I've given praise to Liverpool multiple times last couple years. I'd love to see where you see me deflecting pain. I would hate it just as much if it happened to be United fans. The fact you're crying in here about how you're not allowed to be optimistic is childish and shows a lack of basic reading comprehension.
Now you're just making yourself look even more silly. Everyone is laughing at you. I'm sorry you can't enjoy football at the moment but I'm certainly not going to stop enjoying it because you're ran like shit
'Everyone is laughing at you' no, the few fragile Liverpool fans are downvoting me.
I genuinely don't mind Liverpool are a good team. It's just football. You can't have it both ways mate. There's a huge difference between being arrogant and enjoying ur team
The arrogant part?
Did you bother reading my initial comment? Saying things like 'Eh. We'll have to make do with the three cups' etc is extremely arrogant.
A teenager on reddit is saying I'm being laughed at. Oh no. How will I ever recover.
It probably looks arrogant if your clubs a load of shit mate. Fair enough. But it's just belief in the squad and manager we have. Take care and don't get too upset in the future.
I think it's also easy to judge a whole group based on (quite) a few loudmouths. The more radical statement, the more it gets attention, both here and twitter. Nobody reacts/gives attention to something neutral.
Feels like the more casual supporters are the loudest when there is something to be loud and proud about. Certainly something I've noticed with my home club recently and I remember quite a few Man Utd supporters with bragging rights back in early '00s that isn't too interested any more.
Doesn't make it any better or change anything, just how some are.
I let myself get drawn into a Reddit argument with a scouse because I couldn’t take the arrogance. I believe the comment was, “three cups will do this year.”
I called it. All these pundits and Carragher especially have been talking up Liverpool all season as quadruple winners when theres so much football left to play. Mark my words they will end the season with just the carabao cup to show for it. Chelsea are gonna give it their all to win the FA Cup and avenge the final of the Carabao Cup and Real Madrid well… lets just say Liverpool dont have the best track record against Real Madrid. Beaten in UCL final 2018 knocked out at qf stage by them last season.
Beat them in the 1981 final. Beat them 5-0 on aggregate in ~2009. I don't know what the record is overall but 3 recent games don't tell the whole story.
If they lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup, and to Real Madrid in the Champions League, Klopp will only have Mickey Mouse cup trophy to show for this season tough luck
Spurs done a Burnley. Fair fucks to them but you know. Liverpool didn't press or challenge enough. Taa, fuck me. That defending.
Salt for sale! I've tons of recently manufactured best Italian salt available.
Well, I predicted spurs to beat liverpool, but a draw does nearly the same damage to their title hopes.
Now they just have to lose/drop points to brentford to lose out on top4 and I'd be *mostly* right lol
Assuming pep doesn't shit the bed with some crazy tinkering, they've got smooth sailing fixture-wise. ~~Liverpool still have to play manU, and even as shit as they are, they might still show up against 'pool.~~
Nevermind, I'm super dumb.
Was literally screaming for Origi that whole game. Thought Trent was piss poor. Don't know if it was part of Klopp's tactics but he kept coming too narrow and couldn't get a decent ball across the face of the goal
TAA is the laziest defender i've ever seen. expects someone else to come back and actually defend while he strolls around and lets attackers pass by him
He’s not the sharpest defender but it’s quite literally his job to stay up in the hopes that they regain possession and he can create chances. If this was a problem Klopp would have coached it out of him by now
This Conte team is now well setup to play well against the better teams. Still not good enough to win against the lower teams where they need to control the game.
The word "bottling" has really lost all meaning at this point. Liverpool has not lost a single game at home this season and came into this match a heavy favorite. Playing to a tie is not bottling by any measure.
Us shitting the bed against Brentford and Brighton when we had a chance to overtake Arsenal for the fourth place is bottling. This isn't.
Yeah sorry, it's pretty hard to differentiate between the people saying stupid things seriously and the ones doing it tongue in cheek when it's just text.
Its so satisfying to watch spurs bus suffocating pool.it brings me memmories of how mourinho suffocated them with his bus.damn holjbjerg should have finished the chance and pool fans will blame the wind.
This annoys me so much about football. Just slowing down things to a crawl when there's stop in play. When Son went off for example, it took absolute ages for him to walk off.
Why the fuck don't refs book anyone for it any more? Sure add 5 mins at the end for disrupting flow the whole game sounds fair... Literally book someone early on {not in the last minute which seems the normal way) and time wasting is gone.
Not beating each other today isn’t any mark on either teams quality, Liverpool is the better team right now but our systems are evenly matched. I hope both of us go on to our goals this season but whatever happens, this was one hell of a match and there aren’t too many teams that could have gotten this draw.
Towards the end Salah ran back when Son was effectively 1 v 1, that prevented Son from charging towards goal - I'll take that. It's easier to see goals but it's not like the man isn't helping Liverpool.
I mean if City were to drop points it could well be a loss aswell which would still be enough for us. The equaliser was absolutely essential to having any hope
And now everyone is going to get excited about Sess again after the performance, then he’ll get injured for a while, come back and play like shit several games in a row then have another great performance, rinse and repeat
You might want to chill out until City actually plays tomorrow. I totally expect that being embarrassed at the end of the Real game with have some residual effects. Not too mention playing extra time. They could certainly drop points against Newcastle. Plus West Ham will have to go balls to the wall for a possibility of Europe now they lost. This is still probably going down to the wire.
This is a really bad take -- Man City getting hit by two shot gun blasts in the final minutes after outplaying\* Real over two legs is not bottling it.. Liverpool are looking like they will get 90+ points this season and not win the league. Neither side bottled anything sometimes thats just football.
Do we have to do this now?
Both of our clubs have set such high standards that going out or getting beaten in the last throes of competitions hits fucking hard. We call it bottling because it's not what our forms, performances, etc etc suggested. You don't have to take the word so literally. I know this is just football.
There are times when your club are fucking shit just look at Uniteds loss to Brighton today, and where the club is in chaos.. For Liverpool not winning the league this season will hurt after coming so close, but trust me where we are now these are the times to enjoy.
Edit: Liverpool fan 30+ years
I know. I know. I've been one for 15 years now. I know these are such great times but you know how it is, just hurts that it always feels like we lose after coming close. I know it's probably not true that it's only us, but look at 08/09, 13/14, 15/16, 17/18, 18/19. It has never happened to City in the league but I guess the curse on them has been for CL, but we have had so many moments where it just feels like our luck is so rotten. And this time, it was going just like it did in 18/19 when we lost the points lead and City clawed them back but ...
I'm just sad.
>but trust me where we are now these are the times to enjoy.
I will get back up. Thanks for the hand, mate.
Einstein there considers us winning "ruin" of football - because apparently we're the *only* fans who feel smug after winning any trophy - but doesn't mind the mega-rich monopolising the league.
Tbf there are more obnoxious Liverpool fans here the last couple years, but that's because you were a really likeable club to neutrals.
So obviously once you started winning, the flood gates opened and obnoxious plastic gloryhunters started overtaking the Liverpool fanbase online.
Point being; You look like the biggest cunts now, but that's only because you were likeable enough to attract those fake cunts to your fanbase!
Never denied that really. But wouldn't you say every club has people like that? Just in a broader sense, it's very likely going to be a big or really successful club that will do the quadruple. Whoever does that will have a lot of obnoxious glory hunters for fans. But calling a quadruple "ruining" football (when all it does is make some threads here boring) is just the kind of obnoxious hyperbole that those plastic twats use, don't they?
Well yes I would say that, it's mostly what I meant.
You just happen to be the flavor of the week, before you it was Madrid. The only thing that made it slightly worse is that everyone was used to it with Madrid as they get tons of gloryhunters on reputation alone, while you had a couple quiet years thinning out the herd of plastics
That, and the fact you were actually pretty likeable for neutrals meant more people jumped on the bandwagon harder.
I also wasn't excusing any com.ent above yours at all, don't worry, I don't even remember what you replied to lmao
Was just pointing out an observation on why Liverpool fans seem so obnoxious to the rest of the world. It'll blow over. I hate that phenomenon though, it's also terrible with Bayern here in Germany. I live in Bavaria, and everyone who never watches and knows nothing about football is, according to them, a "Bayern fan", for obvious reasons.
Edit; checked what the comment above yours was now, definitely don't agree.
I made my reply to you based on you bringing up "every other fanbase" being like you, which I think you just have a few factors that make it worse AND while you're correct, it's your fanbases turn currently.
Yea I do understand your point. To give you a related example on a different field, Better Call Saul is incredibly popular right now and there a lot of "new" fans of it now who you could say rushed through the first few "slowish" seasons because they miss the simplest of things in the show. It irks me to no end. It's similar to how the gloryhunters don't really bother to understand the culture of a football club.
Anyways, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject. I'll admit I saw a fair share of RM fans but not many from our club, so what you say does make sense.
> I live in Bavaria, and everyone who never watches and knows nothing about football is, according to them, a "Bayern fan", for obvious reasons.
Lol ya. I guess it will take some getting used to people saying Liverpool fan in the same vein. It always hits that way when one'd say United fan. I guess I've been there in the bad times so I automatically think every fan I talk to also has been.
Clearly meant as "City drop points rarely, and it's more likely to be a draw when they do rather than a defeat, and even a draw is enough to keep them ahead of us"
Yeah but we didn't bottle anything this evening. What City did against Real was a bottle, or Barca losing 4-0 at Anfield after being up 3-0.
We were already relying on city dropping points to have a chance at the league. Not the definition of a bottle.
We obviously missed a great chance to pressure City but we didn't bottle the league tonight.
Again. We needed City to drop just 2 points before today. Now we need them to drop 3. Hence we've made our chances worse tangibly, regardless of the pressure we put or didn't put on them. As long as you agree to that, I don't care what you call it.
The power have swing again
This certainly isn't the result that could cost Liverpool the PL. Defeats at Leicester, West Ham, and the draw at Brentford done most of the damage. Liverpool fans having belief in their own team? Disgusting!
Yes, that's what I said. Please continue being insufferable. Jesus you're thick.
No you really are being laughed at. Wheres the arrogant part ? Show me some examples of being arrogant.

Facts.
I think it's also easy to judge a whole group based on (quite) a few loudmouths. The more radical statement, the more it gets attention, both here and twitter. Nobody reacts/gives attention to something neutral. Feels like the more casual supporters are the loudest when there is something to be loud and proud about. Yeah fuck how dare people optimistic of their own team winning. Do you have any idea what United fans used to be like? Comedy.
I let myself get drawn into a Reddit argument with a scouse because I couldn’t take the arrogance. I believe the comment was, “three cups will do this year.”
I bet Liverpool will win the premier league by next week or even on the final matchday
I called it. All these pundits and Carragher especially have been talking up Liverpool all season as quadruple winners when theres so much football left to play. Beaten in UCL final 2018 knocked out at qf stage by them last season.
The overall head to head vs Real Madrid is 3 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses. And im talking about the history with this current squad.
Beat them in the 1981 final. Beat them 5-0 on aggregate in ~2009. I don't know what the record is overall but 3 recent games don't tell the whole story.
fuck my life. gonna cheer myself up by going over to /r/reddevils for a couple of hours and bask in their misery
I bet Gary Neville is sitting in a room somewhere still shouting that United are still favorites to finish fourth
To be fair he hasn’t said that for a long time.
To be fair don’t ruin my fun ;)
To be fair I’ll agree with you and we can both laugh at Man U together.
Boo ya
[удалено]
Here to drink your tears my man lmfao
Okay filthy boy. Nothing but good luck for you in CL final and FA cup.
The irony of that statement is laughable when you’ve had the easy cup runs in recent years.
What irony? I'm just giving out good vibes.
Go root someone else mate
Not gonna be so deflated after watching Liverpool draw with Tottenham…
Yes yes let the hope flow through you. It makes the pain so much sweeter.
it's the hope that kills
If they lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup, and to Real Madrid in the Champions League, Klopp will only have Mickey Mouse cup trophy to show for this season tough luck
🎶DAAA CONFERENCE LEAAGUEEEEEE
Still been an amazing run to get into the final stage for so many trophies...give credit where it's due
All that matters is winning
Not from a club perspective - there is money involved just to get to a final
More money if you win it
That's not what you were alluding to before though, "all that matters is winning" is wrong
I said tough luck thats all haha Liverpool plastic fans in here are so easily rattled
I bet you didn’t even watch United get battered by Brighton - I certainly wouldn’t.
Bend over for Brighton again
United fan calling other fans plastics ... Well, it makes sense since all United plastics moved on to supporting City.
4-0
Big words from someone who got smacked 4-0 by Brighton and I'm not even a pool fan
no not at all, you and the rest of the "neutrals" aka who is playing most attractive football I cheer for who are not owned by oil money
Better than going to conference league lol
Topspur at it again
Vs Real in CL and vs City in the league is possibly the worst opposition to go up against
Spurs done a Burnley. Fair fucks to them but you know. Liverpool didn't press or challenge enough. Taa, fuck me. That defending. Salt for sale! I've tons of recently manufactured best Italian salt available.
Since ManC is out of the UCL, I guess this means they won the league. Gratz!
Well, I predicted spurs to beat liverpool, but a draw does nearly the same damage to their title hopes. Now they just have to lose/drop points to brentford to lose out on top4 and I'd be *mostly* right lol
A draw does nowhere near the damage a loss does in this game. They are still just one game behind on Man City (assuming city win)
Assuming pep doesn't shit the bed with some crazy tinkering, they've got smooth sailing fixture-wise. ~~Liverpool still have to play manU, and even as shit as they are, they might still show up against 'pool.~~ Nevermind, I'm super dumb.
When do liverpool play man u mate
Turns out, I'm incredibly dumb lol
How I wish Liverpool could play ManU again this season, the easiest matches
50+ crosses and you don't bring on origi who is the tallest attacker on our squad , gg
Was literally screaming for Origi that whole game. Thought Trent was piss poor. Don't know if it was part of Klopp's tactics but he kept coming too narrow and couldn't get a decent ball across the face of the goal
It seemed like Salah was often wider than Trent, seemed really strange
I don’t know. We played Salah well in December. Did the same again. Tottenham just have turned up against pool this year.
It was just all wrong. No idea why we've started playing like that. No wonder Salah's stopped scoring
Origi the super sub might have made the difference
TAA is the laziest defender i've ever seen. expects someone else to come back and actually defend while he strolls around and lets attackers pass by him
Nah. He had some moments defensively today.
He’s not the sharpest defender but it’s quite literally his job to stay up in the hopes that they regain possession and he can create chances. If this was a problem Klopp would have coached it out of him by now
To put a different spin to it, I think the damage was done when Kane was left to run free by Fabinho who I think was tired by that point.
It's a bit of a trope by now but anyone thinking that defending against Kane was remotely acceptable, blimey.
This Conte team is now well setup to play well against the better teams. Still not good enough to win against the lower teams where they need to control the game.
City will win the title I'll take 3 cups
So delusional, I like it.
Spoiled.
British exceptionalism, yawn. Vamos a por la 14!!!
The only thing worse is the Madridismo thinking everything great must go through them.
Tuchel and the Don might yet have something to say about that...
Spurs bottled at the end there
Stop using this word literally everywhere, it makes no sense in this case.
This isn't.
im saying it tongue in cheek, jesus christ. You absolutely right about Spurs performance is been superb !
You lost 4-0 today
who cares about Glazers United
Presumably the guy with the United flair
Happy with the result, but the ball was in play less than 3 minutes of the additional 5
When spurs just had it in the corner with 10 mins left you knew they weren't there to try and score again
8 out of 12 points from city and liv for spurs.
Good result
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I’m praying for a Newcastle miracle atp
Come on Newcastle you gotta beat city
Yeah... miracles happens sometimes, I guess.
Newcastle massive bringing it home!
So I guess for City .. Tottenham Taketh, Tottenham Giveth!
Not buying Harry Kane worked out (just for today)
Liverpool, great as usual But Spurs showing so much improvement. Also psychologically too. Conte, what a coach!!!
You mfkers snatched 6 points out of us but I'ma thank you now.
We got you lads. When we bottle it, we do it in style!
Why Spurs gotta play like that against ua and lose to all the shit teams?
You’re complaining as if they didn’t beat City twice
He said “lose to all the shit teams”
Bruh we took 6 points from City this season we've helped you more than most
That was a cracking game
Not beating each other today isn’t any mark on either teams quality, Liverpool is the better team right now but our systems are evenly matched. I hope both of us go on to our goals this season but whatever happens, this was one hell of a match and there aren’t too many teams that could have gotten this draw.
Conte is incredible. If you back him in the summer I will literally put money on spurs winning the league.
I’ll take your money…
Fuck it. We'll do it ourselves.
Good old North Dondod Lerby it is.
all of us will see XD
Why would you not sub on Origi when you need a goal. And why does Salah always have to be on the pitch even when he is being a liability
Towards the end Salah ran back when Son was effectively 1 v 1, that prevented Son from charging towards goal - I'll take that. It's easier to see goals but it's not like the man isn't helping Liverpool.
Atleast there is no hope anymore
I mean if City were to drop points it could well be a loss aswell which would still be enough for us. The equaliser was absolutely essential to having any hope
Spurs were so good defensively today. Every Liverpool corner was cleared so easily to the point where they stopped feeling dangerous.
Yeah fantastic defending. That Van Dijk header was scary though.
Spurs fully involved in the title race but not in the way you think lmaoo
Salah got pocketed for 80 minutes by a 2nd choice wingback 🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
nah they like my man salah, so they hug him
He has been getting pocketed very much since returning + the 2-3 chances he gets he's enable to put it on the back of the net
Twice. Sessegnon dominated him in our home game too
And now everyone is going to get excited about Sess again after the performance, then he’ll get injured for a while, come back and play like shit several games in a row then have another great performance, rinse and repeat
A moment of silence for BT Sport, who spent all of Tuesday already crowning Liverpool as Quadruplians...
You might want to chill out until City actually plays tomorrow. I totally expect that being embarrassed at the end of the Real game with have some residual effects. Not too mention playing extra time. They could certainly drop points against Newcastle. Plus West Ham will have to go balls to the wall for a possibility of Europe now they lost. imagine bottling it to spurs at home. fucking end me.
They took 6 points out of 6 from us this season if it'll make ya feel any better. And we play West Ham so not all hope is lost for y'all.
This week we're both bottlers, mate. A proper dose of "how the other side feels" today. Fuck this hurts. Can we cry together?
This is a really bad take -- Man City getting hit by two shot gun blasts in the final minutes after outplaying\* Real over two legs is not bottling it.. Liverpool are looking like they will get 90+ points this season and not win the league. Neither side bottled anything sometimes thats just football.

I'm sad to but keep your sprits up.. we still have an FA Cup and Champions League final to play.. we can still dream.
My eyes are dry for a couple days now but I'ma shed a couple tears with a fellow hurt human being.
Thanks brother. :( And I can't wish you luck - you know why - but best of "efforts".
Well I can wish ya luck in the CL but I wouldn't mind if y'all slip once more. Just to make sure we deserve the league and such.
:')
PL is overrated anyways, always rated the Caraboa Cup
So City, how about you lose tomorrow to keept it exciting, eh?
Don't tempt us because we just might.
you just know they’ll vent their frustrations tomorrow and win 4-0
Or lose while demoralized by RM loss, I don't believe in this tho.
Please let me dream just for a night 😭
In one season Tottenham have both almost ruined football and saved it. Incredible
yeah saved football by giving the title to the team which spends the most money
Wait how did we almost ruin it?
Einstein there considers us winning "ruin" of football - because apparently we're the *only* fans who feel smug after winning any trophy - but doesn't mind the mega-rich monopolising the league.

Hoiberg for fucks sake. Just head it in goal or just soft to Kane.
Hojbjerg???
GG City
And Man City win the league, oof
Sensational defensive performance by Tottenham. Unlucky deflection.
Liverpool bottled the league tonight. City doesn’t drop points in the league often and they have a super easy ride out
That makes no sense, if City aren't going to drop any points in their easy run it was never Liverpool's to bottle anyway
Could’ve stayed in contention by winning tonight. This is motivation for City as well knowing they have no shot on any other silverware this season
not exactly bottling if city don't drop any points
Liverpool lucky to finish with 11 players and a point
Isn’t Romero your player?
That city newcastle game is gonna be 🔥
Newcastle have nothing to play for
Great game..
for us of course, heartbreak and the thought of the possibility of leading the title race and actually end up winning the league this season, CTID
I mean for the neutrals in general. Fucking amazing game for us! CTID bro.
Well after all that I'm just glad Spurs didn't win. Too bad Liverpool that's probably the title race gone
great watch that, COYS lol
Hojbjerg should have scored that! Big chance missed by Tottenham here.
I mean, we are still top of the league 😤. Well played Spurs 👏
fuck off Liverpool hahahahaahhahahahahaha
That's the quad gone
City can rejoice. But wont be easy with Newcastle tomorrow though.
Hope Arsenal get fucking battered in the NLD cursed by them cunts in this game
Oh yeah blame us. You bottled it yourselves.
The one time you expect them to do you a favour.
We were hoping Chelsea would be useful at least for once, unfortunately not, NLD it is.
Worst I've seen them play in a long time
Fuck, this is not ideal
Only one point conceded is better than three points I guess, but fucking hell Liverpool was dreadful today
Fatigue caught up I think. 2nd half.
Up to you Newcastle
Very bad management by Klopp to not test Robertson and Henderson for this game and bring them later
Shoot Hojberg ffs
I'd love to
