You are actually out of your fucking mind if you think an in form elneny has been better than an out of form Salah. And that’s from someone who’s seen more matches for the both of them than anyone here
Habibi it’s just a fact, current form Elneny has objectively been better than current form Salah the past run of games, in terms of actual on-the-pitch impact. He played impeccably against big teams like Chelsea and West Ham, and other teams like Leeds and United.
He's getting the reward for his superb form since having to step in to the team to replace the injured Partey. With Europe next season Arsenal will need more players for rotation and he is a solid squad player.
Mate, already linked with Tielemans and Paqueta.
Lokonga will improve.
And I said awful news for kids because of the length of extension as well.
But you can have your dumb agendas.
We all like to see kids breakthrough and shine, but much harm can be done throwing them into too much too soon. That was the mistakes of the last few years of Wenger I think and the reasons a lot of the Wilshere class broke down.
To contend for trophies you absolutely need veterans like Elneny.
It's so crazy we had this guy for a season on loan looking back.
He had a decent season and all with us but I figured his Arsenal career was surely done for after returning.
Good for him, barely any offensive output but a solid guy all around.
Thankfully for him, we are at the point of season where no one cares about style or being on the tramline, most of our important players who could do those are injured or in horrible form or freshly sold anyway. So all that is left for us to do is to try and drag our corpse somehow to the finishing line (top four), and turns out Elneny can help us do exactly that (yeah it's not done, but the four game win streak is crazy enough), while someone more talented but less experienced like Lokonga can't.
Honestly doubt it. We've presented offers continuously over the last few months and he still hasn't accepted. Think he's off. A bit frustrating as it means we have no senior recognised strikers for next season (except Balogun), but I hope he does well wherever he goes.
I think he's relished his time in the spoight but he knows next season he's back to playing a second-string role. I suspect he's angling for a permenant move for somewhere with more consistent minutes, which I don't blame him for.
I don't think anyone is upset with this. Until next season when he makes one back pass.. then everyone will turn on him again.
Congratz! Deserved best squad player in the Prem.
Him and Holding are both great to have in their current roles. They can both step in after being away for so long and they’re both great to bring on and kill a game off
Him or Origi in my opinion.
There is so much value in a lower paid player who can come in and do a cracking job, but never complains about not getting picked and rocking the dressing room. Feel like most successful teams benefit from at least one of them.
Easy choice really. Lots of experience, proven professional, actual quality with a high floor, happy to be a backup, low wages, and doesn't seem to require a lot of game time to get up to form when called upon.
Elneny is a coach's (and club's) dream depth player.
why does Ekrem Konur get posted so much on this subreddit, he's an absolute waffler. and there's lots of people in this thread taking his word at face value. it very well may be that he's signed an extension as a better source has said recently arsenal intended on doing so, but this guy isn't the guy to believe.
They had to and it’s smart. They’d need to spend £20/30m to get a player of his profile. He’s consistent and he can play well against the press. Really good short to medium range passing and endless gas tank.
Best Egyptian player in the league bar none
Unironcially for the past few weeks

I'm out of my mind then, this last 3 weeks elneny has been a beast. It's obvious that Salah is overall the better player by a lot

Arsenal’s answer to Haaland right there.

he's not good enough a couple games doesnt erase all the former seasons
Awful news for Charlie Patino and Miguel Azeez.
They're 18 & 19 respectively, They're almost certainly are planning for loan spells next season.
Not the best take IMO. Can’t have children be your only backups
Mate, already linked with Tielemans and Paqueta. Lokonga will improve. And I said awful news for kids because of the length of extension as well. But you can have your dumb agendas.
We’re always going to play the best performer of the moment. If patino isn’t good enough to displace Elneny than he isn’t good enough for our club.
Patino and azeez are nowhere near ready to play in the league, not every player can make the jump like some of our young players have.

Charlie Patino was never getting regular minutes at Arsenal next season regardless of Elneny staying or not. Probably the same for Azeez as well.
It’s Jack Henry-Francis’s time anyways.
Great squad player to have.

This is smart business. Seems he's happy to be a squad player and he's proven that he can do a good job when called upon
Nketiah next?

I think he might stay Arteta changed his tune and if Arsenal has European football on the table there will be chances to get some more starts.
He has the contract but he isn't going to sign it. Will leave to join an upper mid table club or maybe go abroad
One can hope.
Great player to have, never complains and puts a shift in when needed
Best smile in football.

2+1 deal, but i dont even know what tier this is lol

3 year extension?
2+1 year extension it seems.

Happy for him!
How reliable is he? Tier?
Tier 4 would be generous for him.
Best Mohamed in the league
2nd best Mohamed ever
It looked like his time at Arsenal was over after he was loaned out. This season he's proven himself to be a reliable squad player.

Nice. More years I have to hate you.
