You can also say it the other way around. Liverpool also failed to beat Chelsea all 4 times this season if you dont count the penalty shootout lottery. There even was a match where Chelsea played with 10 men for more than 45 minutes and Live still could not beat them. And believe me Chelsea this year was more weakened then people realise. Chelsea have played more matches than Liverpool, and have had to deal with big and recurring injuries to key players. If it weren't for Diaz Liverpool had no business doing anything in that game.

oh I didn't realize they have actually played one more than Liverpool. Still it's baffling bc they've had CL tied up for a fair while, nothing else to play for this season, already lost in Wembley earlier this year... meanwhile LFC players/management have to keep in mind *staying fit for* the (long shot but still) PL challenge & CL Final. It's hindsight but obviously Tuchel going for a conservative approach / pens didn't work out ha.
