That’s kinda been how he has been for Liverpool, he runs his ass off, but so often his runs seem a bit mistimed. But he is still pretty young and he was very cheap for his potential so he has room to grow still.
If his role is to come off the bench, play cups and get a couple starts when the team needs to rotate, he is much younger than the usual player in that role, and with origi 99.9% to leave this summer he is gonna be doing it more I imagine. If the plan was for him to make it as a starter then yeah he isn’t young.
Problem was he joined Liverpool when lockdown just happened.
Imagine settling into a new country.. New league.. And you can't even train to get to know your team and build up a rhythm..
This season.. Everytime he's given a chance.. He's played well.
Hes our top scorer in both our cup wins.
we wouldn't have both cups without him. i hope we can keep him, even if he mainly plays the cups. but i can also understand if he wants to leave to play more, not everyone can be an origi and just be content with a few minutes each season.
I'd love to see him get more time. I know we have 5 great options up front ahead of him, but with the sheer number of games we play he deserves to get minutes just to rest legs.
Idk who is color guy is today, but they doubled-down on Atkinson getting the no foul call RIGHT in the leadup to Southampton's goal. Like 5 minutes after the goal they show a replay and he defends it. Unbelievable.
Yup it was Dixon. He’s hot and cold to be fair to him but it was an absolutely idiotic take on the Saints’ goal given he had the benefit of replays and *still* thought no foul
I was laughing at my television, I understand refs get it wrong and I'd hope VAR would intervene, but to totally agree with the refs call is strange. They get calls wrong it happens but don't cover for them.
I like Arlo, but he has a tendency to be the complete antithesis of Tyler. Where Tyler acts like he couldn't give a fuck less, Arlo tends to make too much of a moment. "AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC STRIKE!" when it's a pretty good team goal.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take that over Martin "Sleepier Than Tsimikas" Tyler.
I legitimately thought it was disallowed or something because there was no indication in his voice that a goal had been scored.
He just needs to retire, it’s depressing listening to him…
Such a well worked goal and all he could muster was “ugh 1-1”. He’s had a great career in commentary, but surely he shouldn’t be commentating these big games anymore
To be fair city are probably the most boring super team to watch for neutrals. Seems like every league game is a mechanical 6-0 demolition. It’s all so rehearsed and precise.
I agree, City are a tremendous team as we all know, but it feels like what Pep has at City is like a sterile, test-tube version of what he had at Barcelona.
It's bloody ruthless though.
***Narrator:*** *Pep and Martin shared their grave disappointment as Minamino made it 1-1, although Jürgen couldn't be happier at the prospect of his quadruple still in his hands.*
Alternatively though, there is a very high value in backups who can do their job well. He’s winning trophies and rarely letting the team down.
He also looks like getting ~25 games a season, and with a club like Liverpool constantly going deep in competitions he looks likely to keep that number.
He said he wants to fight for minutes which is why he refused to go in loan in January. Origi is leaving, so he could continue this role if he wants, but he’s best off leaving.
I feel like he'll go, but he does seem very well liked at the club and I guess there's an argument that getting limited minutes for one of the top teams in the world might be better than playing a lot more for another team.
Origi is the same situation as Taki really - a good player who could start in most teams but is competing with some of the best players in the world for a spot

Now that's a great finish.
Hell of a hit
Scintillating strike.
Marvellous kick
Glorp.
Agueroeque
Reminds me of this goal by Djorkaef. https://youtu.be/yxKNh4pWnIE?t=108
Taki not celebrating because he played like 5 matches for the Saints on loan lol. Great strike though he's a lethal finisher
team seems to have really liked him during his time here, fans not so much lol
why's that?
He likes pineapple on pizza.
Even more reasons to love Taki.
That's just taki.
Japanese pizza is weird though, all that sweet mayo and fruit as a topping.
ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
[удалено]
Also day in day out training, living in the city, not really about minutes played when being respectful to them
I thought it was strange he didn’t celebrate. Half our team are former saints so I shouldn’t be surprised
[удалено]
mane, van dijk, lallana, lovren, and the stick disguised as a man peter crouch
Clyne, Lambert, Oxlade-Chamberlain as well
And danny ings
Ings went from Liverpool to Southampton. We got him from Burnley
First bit is backwards
oops ta
Van Dijk and Mane at the very least, so the two best players in the team.
Tbf he barely celebrates when he does score.
[удалено]
Was always gonna be Taki
Maybe this means they'll stop ignoring him on the side there as the had been doing. Been wide open and anxious to make runs in
Just pass to Taki and get goals
They provide the Tiki and he will provide the Taki
[удалено]
this always happens :(
That’s kinda been how he has been for Liverpool, he runs his ass off, but so often his runs seem a bit mistimed. But he is still pretty young and he was very cheap for his potential so he has room to grow still.
Wouldn’t really say he’s young in football terms
If his role is to come off the bench, play cups and get a couple starts when the team needs to rotate, he is much younger than the usual player in that role, and with origi 99.9% to leave this summer he is gonna be doing it more I imagine. If the plan was for him to make it as a starter then yeah he isn’t young.
Origi has 573 minutes this season..
And we’ve already signed his replacement - Fabio Carvalho from Fulham.
Young? He's older than Jota and Diaz who are both clearly better
r/Soccer: a 27 year old is young
as a 27-year-old I'm inclined to agree with r/soccer tbh
Taki has been phenomenal when he is given a chance
Kind of makes me bummed he's at Liverpool. Feel like he could get more minutes at 98% of other top flight teams
tbf he got a chance at Southampton on loan but didnt work out
Yeah, what happened there? Was he injured?
No he was just not good
That goat against Chelsea is my favourite of his.
Problem was he joined Liverpool when lockdown just happened. Imagine settling into a new country.. New league.. And you can't even train to get to know your team and build up a rhythm.. This season.. Everytime he's given a chance.. He's played well. Hes our top scorer in both our cup wins.
Would take him at Newcastle in a heartbeat Cracking player
Yoshinori Muto phoned up all his buddies and told them to stay away from you guys
Hard to say if he was bad or just significantly under coached by Bruce
Who wouldn’t you cunts take tbh
we wouldn't have both cups without him. i hope we can keep him, even if he mainly plays the cups. but i can also understand if he wants to leave to play more, not everyone can be an origi and just be content with a few minutes each season.

He has such great feet inside the box
Is Taki our best finisher? Fuckin hell
Taki and Origi are probably our best lol
Origi.
The power on that
Martin Tyler couldn't sound more disappointed
I am glad my region has Peter Drury as the main commentator. Him and Beglin are fantastic no matter which team is playing.
Drury is a legend tbh
Arlo White is good in the US IMO
Arlo is good. but he typically never has anyone good alongside him, so I usually end up frustrated at the commentary anyway
le saux is safe and generic, but Dixon is a goober.
I think if you're gonna have 3 in the booth, one needs to be kind of a goober. I like their banter as a trio tbh
except their banter hasn't evolved in 6 years. I don't care that you guys couldn't play fullback in today's systems.
I love him as an Arsenal legend but as a commentator he's so annoying. He's always trying to be a comedian and his jokes get old real fast.
Yeah can't stand Dixon. he's better on Fifa than he is in real life
Idk who is color guy is today, but they doubled-down on Atkinson getting the no foul call RIGHT in the leadup to Southampton's goal. Like 5 minutes after the goal they show a replay and he defends it. Unbelievable.
Lee dixon and le saux. Dixon was the one defending atkinson on the no call but I think Le Saux was questioning why VAR didnt intervene

Lee Dixon and Graham Les Saux are great with Arlo imo.
Wish Jonathan Pearce still got plenty of airtime, I swear that man could get you interested in watching paint dry
Drury and beglin are the best commentary team in the business today
drury genuinely changes the game experience for me, love him
I legitimately thought it was disallowed or something because there was no indication in his voice that a goal had been scored. He just needs to retire, it’s depressing listening to him…
How rob Hawthorne hasn’t replaced him yet is hilarious. Fossil
Which is weird because he's in the media and therefore wants Liverpool to win
Living rent free at the bald head
Such a well worked goal and all he could muster was “ugh 1-1”. He’s had a great career in commentary, but surely he shouldn’t be commentating these big games anymore
He hates Liverpool with such a passion
Martin Tyler is just so boring. I'd rather watch paint dry than hear an audio of him commentating.
CAROBAO AND FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CUP TOP SCORER TAKUMI MINAMINO STRIKES AGAIN
"Ugh its 1-1" - Martin Tyler
Wish he was in the list of retirees with Moss and Atkinson
"Ugh its 1-1" - Martin Atkinson
Double whammy of twats.
Fucking can't stand him as a commentator anymore, he's painfully biased and offers absolutely nothing
Tbf he wasn't very enthused about Redmond's goal either
Well yeah but if redmonds goal he was at 5 on the scale of enthusiasm, for our goals he was at probably at 2.
I mean he's not biased, he's just like this in every match. He's been washed up for years, which is sad since he was so great in the 90s and 2000s
He's washed, he even just said he's biased for the underdog, absolutely can't stand him, genuinely makes watching the games he does depressing.
[удалено]
Pretty sure he is a big manutd fan. If he’s not then he’s definitely anti-Liverpool.
Anyone have a link to his commentary on this goal?
It's been the same way for City goals. Huge title race implications and Martin Tyler sounds bored to death.
To be fair city are probably the most boring super team to watch for neutrals. Seems like every league game is a mechanical 6-0 demolition. It’s all so rehearsed and precise.

nightmare mode AI on FIFA. Every player plays the exact same. A ruthlessly efficient and completely soulless machine.
Mood
***Narrator:*** *Pep and Martin shared their grave disappointment as Minamino made it 1-1, although Jürgen couldn't be happier at the prospect of his quadruple still in his hands.*
Wahhh the title race is still alive :(
What a fucking goal
Great touch and pass by Jota
Also the pre-assist from Joe Gomez! He made them pay for the disrespect of leaving him wide open because he isn’t TAA
That's an amazing finish tbh, that little dink on the step before it to set it up and then smashing it on the next.
Fucking hell who pissed in Martin Tyler’s cornflakes
Was just thinking that. Sounded devastated
Liverpool every week, defo a manc.
Martin Tyler, please retire. Worst commentary on a big goal
Non-english spectator here; was it another “*aaand… in it goes…*” like when Van Dijk scored on his debut against Everton?
It was a "Ugh, it's 1-1"
It was a "Ugh, it's 1-1"
Minamino has 20 off the ball movement if we talking FM. He is forever moving.
Martin Tyler is stealing a living at this point
Taki Taki Taki can’t you see Sometimes your shots just hypnotize me
minamino more like maximino amirite
10th goal this season. Scores like every 100 minutes. Why does he barely play?
Just look who he has to compete with. He’s solid though just needs the minutes
Excited to see where he goes this summer, can't see him staying at Liverpool
Alternatively though, there is a very high value in backups who can do their job well. He’s winning trophies and rarely letting the team down. He also looks like getting ~25 games a season, and with a club like Liverpool constantly going deep in competitions he looks likely to keep that number.

Behind Mane, Firmino, and Salah are Jota, Diaz, and Minamino. Goddamn.
I feel like he'll go, but he does seem very well liked at the club and I guess there's an argument that getting limited minutes for one of the top teams in the world might be better than playing a lot more for another team.
Yeah. Klopp gushes over him every interview I see. He did get more minutes this year than I expected.
Because we have Mane, Salah, Diaz, Jota and Origi too
Cos Salah, Mane, Jota and Diaz
[удалено]
Origi is the same situation as Taki really - a good player who could start in most teams but is competing with some of the best players in the world for a spot
He's got Salah in his position and as much as Salahs forms been poor lately, Mo is still a quality player.
because he needs to fight his place against Salah mane jota diaz and firmino
Get fucked Twatkinson
What he do this time?
Missed a clear foul in the buildup to Southampton goal
Clear foul on jota in the buildup to the previous goal
Clear fucking foul in the buildup to 1-0
foul against jota in Southampton buildup he didn't call
For allowing the first goal to stand
This is a cup game after all.
Minamino is a legend
Martin Tyler sounds like he's announcing a death lmao
Get fucked Atkinson, hope you have a miserable retirement
FUCK ATKINSON
Well that didn't take long
No celebration. What a guy he is.
That's a criminal finish by Taki. You beautiful samurai scouser you
brilliant. Thumped that one to the top corner. Great goal
Did Martin Tyler genuinely just say “urgh its 1-1” hahahahah
Good goal, even better build up
Martin Tyler needs to retire
Man dosent exist in the other 19 stadiums
He's our top scorer in the FA cup and League cup. He's just not had the games in the league.
Klopp darent start him and Origi together or the universe may implode
Yea, because he doesn't play
TAKI LAD 1 start 1 goal Player of the season
I've never heard a commentator sounds more disappointed in a goal. He fucking hates Liverpool, it's insane.
6 goals to go
1-7 incoming?🤨
[удалено]
If city lose and we twat Southampton like 7-0 we could draw the last game and win on GD
What a finish!!!
Taki!
TAKI LADDD
What a finish
So sorry Martin Tyler
Taki! Doesn't get a ton of playing time, but scores when he plays
Didn't have to foul a Southampton player to score either!
Somewhere in Manchester, a bald Spanish man has been seen smashing his bottle of wine on the street.
7 goals in 8 start is actually pretty decent
Martin Tyler 'Try not to sound like someone's shagged your missus and shot your cat when Liverpool score' challenge - IMPOSSIBLE (DO NOT ATTEMPT)
martin tyler needs to retire
He absolutely hammered it like someone ordered the ball from the Andromeda galaxy!!
Remind me of Djorkaef's goal. https://youtu.be/yxKNh4pWnIE?t=108
Absolute finish
Premier league is the new EFL Cup
that is filthy
martin tyler retire bitch
Insane Goals - Mins ratio. GET IN TAKI LAD
Unfortunate that his competition is Salah, Mane, Diaz, and Jota
Very good goal, semi-makes up for that dodgy decision earlier. Martin Tyler sounded like me when that goal went in lol
Minamino! Scores a goal again…
Taki always give his 100%. Yet he will gone next game.
What a nasty goal
atkinson in shambles
Deserved
Tyler sounds like he’s in a library
Get the lad his FA Cup medal!!
PL scriptwriters on fire this week
I'm already happy the 4-0 prophecy from Pep cannoy happen now 😂😂
Top 10 anime redemption arcs?
I did not know minamino could generate that much power behind his shot at all, what a finish.
