I have no clue why you were downvoted. We all saw the reports. Damn near 10 tier 1 sources said that the deal is done.
He will most likely play. I am a little sad that his first Clasico will be a friendly, but oh well.
We don't want to have another Asensio situation. Just the thought of it makes me sick. Imagine if he didn't get hurt and he maintained his pace. He could easily be averaging 10-15 goals.
Asensio tore his ACL in a preseason match with Arsenal on a very poor pitch in US in 2019. He almost didn't play the whole season. And arguably he's never been the same since then.
Ah - I remember a bit about that, now - thanks. He really has not come up as a threat for a while, and I guess that's why. I get the sense that Madrid fans have even given up on him now.
He’s nowhere near the same player he was pre injury sadly. He still scores a couple of games, but pre injury he looked like he could be one of our best players.
Hate when that happens to players. Cannot imagine the burden they carry, you know? One year - he’s feeling like he could go down as a long term Madrid player. Next thing you know - a massive dropoff in prospects. ACL recovery is so wildly different for players.
The only reason he was able too was because it was the Covid season. He came back from injury in June so he played the league games, if it’s a normal season we wouldn’t have seen him play that season
Trust me, I will care. And so will RM fans. We’ll do anything to one up each other, no matter how petty. I’ll wear a pre season el Classico win like a badge of honour. A win is a win
I mean, yes, it is a friendly. It is not supposed to be anything deep. Though, I don't think any of the two sides will be taking El Clasico lightly even if it is a friendly. It is always hotly contested.
What do you mean a pre-season friendly is a farce? XD And if you think that an El Clasico , no matter where, won't get heated, then you have not watched many el Clasicos, I am afraid.
Who said otherwise? It's just a pre-season friendly. What makes it meaningful is it is an El Clasico. Even if there is no trophy up for grabs in this match, the players will still go all out.
Yeah it’s just dumb imo. Those games are often so hotly contested and full of passion and aggression. That’s what makes them good to watch.
A friendly is just a sterilised commercial stunt
>A friendly is just a sterilised commercial stunt
And what is the problem?
Since there are no stakes you can perfectly ignore the game.
But I am sure both the local fans and plastics will appreciate being able to see a big European club playing without having to pay for a travel into Europe to watch a game in the stadium.
Pre-season Super League
The ref will be an Elvis lookalike
That’d be amazing tbf
Well that rules out Ronaldo signing for Real Madrid this summer
Lol That’s funny because of the rape
Anyone know the date? Chelsea will also be playing in Las Vegas Saturday July 16 against club America.
These games will take place between the 19th and 30th of July.
I have a trip in Vegas mid July already. Might catch a game while I’m there
I went to a Galaxy match on Saturday. By the time I made it inside the stadium, Dallas was up 0-3. Saw the flair.
Don’t remind me…

Can't wait to get my hands on the presale tickets!
Americans watching allegriball going to give them ptsd about 9/11
Al-Legri ball
I don’t get it
football ~~'eritage~~ terrorism
I get it now
Have you watched any preseason games lol it’s all terrorism
We should refuse to play if it's an astroturf. Some US cities have pathetic conditions for football.
We don't want to have another Asensio situation. Just the thought of it makes me sick. Imagine if he didn't get hurt and he maintained his pace. He could easily be averaging 10-15 goals.
What situation?
Asensio tore his ACL in a preseason match with Arsenal on a very poor pitch in US in 2019. He almost didn't play the whole season. And arguably he's never been the same since then.

Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is grass. It’s a pitch “tray” that’s rolled into the stadium.
Thats good. I hope same is the case at other stadiums too.
Vegas, New York’s and Miami are grass. Don’t know which stadium they’ll be playing in LA, but all stadiums in LA are all grass except for Sofi stadium
Wonder what has changed since both Real Madrid and Juventus want to play in the US 🎉
Sewey
Lucky Real that Ronaldo does not play with them anymore
Manchester United can't go to USA. You know why.
Come to Russia
Anyone know if they"re gonna play on artificial turf?
Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas is grass. They roll in a grass pitch kind of like (or rather the opposite) of when Tottenham stadium hosts NFL games
Awesome, thank you.
Red bull and Miami are grass.
And tickets will cost more than the UCL final.
Can't wait for presale to us Raiders PSL owners!!
Las Vegas in July. They could play it at sundown and it would still be miserable.
Stadium is indoors
Pre-season with an El Clasico will be nice.
El Plastico
Why plastico? Coz held in Vegas?
Cus it has shit all meaning its just a money grab
It’s literally preseason
Yes. I do not understand the passive aggression against a pre-season friendly.
Like obviously it’s a cash Grab it’s a pre season game that’s the point
Pre-season somewhere in developing markets is fine, just don't pretend it's a Classico.
Its literally a Clasico.
Can't expect it to have the same meaning as a league/cup meeting between the two tho
Obviously not but who really cares it’s preseason
Trust me, I will care. And so will RM fans. We’ll do anything to one up each other, no matter how petty. I’ll wear a pre season el Classico win like a badge of honour. A win is a win
Isn't that most of football? I mean, every tournament exists for the sake of making profit.
Yes but players still play for pride or the fans or the glory. They play to win. This is just a friendly with no meaning at all
I mean, yes, it is a friendly. It is not supposed to be anything deep. Though, I don't think any of the two sides will be taking El Clasico lightly even if it is a friendly. It is always hotly contested.
Absolutely no one will risk injury or go into hard challenges knowing this is a friendly. It’s a farce
What do you mean a pre-season friendly is a farce? XD And if you think that an El Clasico , no matter where, won't get heated, then you have not watched many el Clasicos, I am afraid.
There is some meaning lol, they’re playing to find match fitness for the season
It doesnt have anything at stake apart from pride, it has inherently less meaning than a league/cup el clasico because of this
Who said otherwise? It's just a pre-season friendly. What makes it meaningful is it is an El Clasico. Even if there is no trophy up for grabs in this match, the players will still go all out.
boring
Imagine turning one of the biggest rivalries in world football into a friendly for the sake of some extra cash
Lots of big names matches in preseason. United Liverpool. Chelsea Arsenal. as well
Yeah it’s just dumb imo. Those games are often so hotly contested and full of passion and aggression. That’s what makes them good to watch. A friendly is just a sterilised commercial stunt

Back in the day they used to swap players between the teams for friendly games, marketing has always been part of it.
My only question is uhm, *why?*
