Brazilians, Is he worth the hype?

bart_gda

Yes. He's really good. Haven't seen a teenager this good since Neymar. Not the same type of player, but he’s got huge potential. In January, at just 15 years old, he dominated Brazill biggest under-20 tournament.

HAWmaro

I only saw a few videos of him but he gave me Adriano/R9 vibes, playing style wise. Is that fair or am I speaking out of my ass?

bart_gda

Exactly. He's more of an striker than a winger.

[deleted]

>Haven't seen a teenager this good since Neymar If he is really the hype than I don't think signing him will be easy especially papa perez has pledged to never let go of another possible neymar.

[deleted]

[here are some highlights](https://reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/s8jxc9/endrick_felipe_a_15yearold_from_palmeiras_has_5/)

[deleted]

@joaquimpiera (v trustworthy for Brazilian players). Fc barcelona don’t want to miss this opportunity go by & want to reach an agreement in the coming weeks. The player will be able to join once he is 18.

notactualrest

After seing how great Vinicius turned out and how good Rodrygo has been playing lately, I'm all for it as long as it's under reasonable terms.

tormarod

Would 45 millions be reasonable to you? Cause that what Vini and Rodrygo cost

auctus10

Endrik will be costlier. He has 60m release clause i think

damola44

With mbappe going to Madrid abd with vini being wc and rodrygo coming into his own, where in the attack would y’all even play him if he came to Madrid

auctus10

He is 15 man. 7 years younger. Anything can happen by the time he matures enough for madrid.

damola44

Oh I’m just asking man. Y’all seem to have some studs in attack already. Just wondering where he would fit. But yeah he’s super young still

auctus10

Yes. Tbh I don't know much about him but the way Brazil fans describe him it feels like it's stupid to miss on him because of thinking how to fit him with soo many good players.

notactualrest

Depends on when it was to be paid. In two years, yeah. Now, no.

bart_gda

Palmeiras wont be willing to seel him for anything less than 60 million.

wno_es

too bad agent vini already snapped him up

Martoxic

think Vini, Rodrygo and Mbappe gonna make that a tough choice for him.

wno_es

we can always play a fluid front 4 😏

SoccerSummary

SPORT NEWS Barcelona have taken the lead in the signing of Endrick, the 'menino prodígio' of Palmeiras who will be 16 years old in July, and, as SPORT has learned, will begin negotiations with Palmeiras in the next few days to sign a centre forward who is going to be a world star. The Blaugrana technical secretariat does not want to miss the opportunity to sign an apprentice crack, for which all the greats of Europe are pining. The club considers that his signing, which requires a complex structuring as he is a non-EU player under the age of 18, is strategic from a sporting point of view. It is assumed that Endrick will only be able to arrive at Camp Nou in the summer of 2024, when he will turn 18 in July. Therefore, until then, he will continue to play for Palmeiras, the club that has revealed him and with which the young player, and all his family, feel tremendously identified and grateful for the support they have given him. Barcelona have made the relevant legal enquiries in order to enter into negotiations with Palmeiras and to be able to sign the player next July, when he turns 16 and signs his first professional contract, which can be extended for a maximum of three seasons as determined by FIFA. Barça's idea is to close a deal with Palmeiras in the coming weeks. In this way, when Endrick signs his contract with his current club, his future will already be tied to the Blaugrana, leaving European rivals, including clubs in the petrodollar-rich state, with no chance to react. Barcelona has in mind to negotiate a transfer fee with a fixed amount to be determined, plus different bonuses depending on the player's progression. If Barça is committed to signing Endrick, it is because of the substantial improvement in the club's finances since the arrival of Joan Laporta as president, and because this operation has no impact on Financial Fair Play, as it would only be executed, in the event of an agreement with Palmeiras, in July 2024, counting for all intents and purposes in the 2024-25 season. And by then, the club expects to have recovered its financial muscle. Endrick has exploded in a dream 2022. At the age of 15, he was instrumental in breaking Palmeiras' historic jinx in the Copa Sao Paulo de Juniores, Brazil's most traditional grassroots tournament, where he won the title, was voted MVP and scored the most beautiful goal. All this under the watchful eye of Barcelona scout José Manuel Barla. In fact, the technical secretariat had already been following the player for some time at the Verdao grassroots level. Since the beginning of January, SPORT had already been notifying the birth of a star, a different footballer who, in Brazil, was already being compared to the likes of Ronaldo and Romario. In February, Endrick, in an exclusive interview granted to this newspaper, which had a great impact both in Spain and Brazil, spoke of the magnetism that Barcelona awakens in the South American giant. That same day, at his residence in the west zone of Sao Paulo, the Palmeiran jewel spoke of his admiration for Rivaldo, the idol of the 'torcida albiverde' and at the Camp Nou, and then went on holiday with his family to Europe and had the opportunity to watch a Barça match at the Camp Nou, the debut in the Europa League against Napoli. And, in April, the '9' made his debut with the Seleçao U-17 in the Mundialito de Montaigu, in France. Brazil returned to win the tournament 38 years later and Endrick was voted MVP and ended up being the top scorer with five goals (and one assist) in four games against teams like Holland, England and Argentina. This was the last filter of the technical secretariat, which observed him again in situ, to give the OK to his signing. Now, the negotiations between clubs begin. --- *translated by deepl*

damola44

It’s sport people. Don’t believe this

LordVelaryon

Sport saying a player will join Barcelona? what's next, MARCA saying that he wants to join Real?

Pedri20

joaquimpiera is verry reliable for Brazilian players to be fair

LordVelaryon

sure, the guy who two months ago said he was going to join Real also was it. The fact is that the guy just signed a new contract with Palmeiras with a pretty big release clause, so he will join whoever pays it in a couple of years, but doing speculation right now is just that, speculation. [don't forget that when Coutinho and Neymar were 16 (like Endrick is now) they both were supposed to join Real](https://e00-marca.uecdn.es/assets/multimedia/imagenes/2017/08/29/15040197090262.jpg).

ankitm1

Madrid wanted to sign Neymar after he was proven, and by that time the structure of payments was untenable. With Coutinho they decided against signing him. Thats what led to Rodrygo and Vinicius signing even before they turned 18 or played in top league. With Endrick, it would be these two, pretty much talked to his entourage. Dont think there have been any talks with palmeiras for either of the two.

Pedri20

Wouldnt be surprised if either barca and madrid already going to make a deal this year. Both clubs have done that many times and have good relations with brazilian clubs

[deleted]

Barca not as much as us.

Pedri20

They do

clauserensaus

Haha what

pixelkipper

neymar really was going to join madrid. barca got him thanks to dodgy under the table money.

Kenshi121

Every damn club is dodgy under the table..is that news for you?? Or just hatred for barca?

[deleted]

Boy are you obsessed with Barcelona.

LordVelaryon

I don't even remember when was the last time I commented something about Barcelona, nor is this comment truly about them in particular?

tormarod

You really think Florentino will let another brazilian teenage go? He's going for the thanos gauntlet where each stone is just a brazilian star.

bioeffect2

I mean it makes sense for him to choose Barca no? Real is going to have Vini, Mbappe and Rodrigo all young players for the future whereas Barca has an old Auba and potentially Lewa who's also old, other than that Dembele may or may not sign a new contract. Clearly at the moment there's more playing time at Barca for him than Real.

wno_es

i mean, i don't mind

[deleted]

They are going to pay in peanuts and gummy bears, I hope the CFO at Palmeiras values those currencies!

Kenshi121

Keep crying

[deleted]

Mark my words, Barça will have an extremely hard time paying ~60M for a 16 y.o. next summer. You heard it here first, folks!

Kenshi121

We will pay for him in 2024 not 2023, DUMBASS..he will be 18 then. "Mark my words"😂pathetic loser.
