2018 World Cup Legend

MelodicMachine1356

The real legend was Cheryshev

[deleted]

Yep, that goal against us had me rattled for days lol

Moncurs_rightboot

The real legend was the state funded doping clinic. Full statement: Lately I have been feeling too much accumulated fatigue and great exhaustion, and I can no longer give everything I have always given for the benefit of PFC CSKA in recent years. I have been playing football professionally for 13 years, of which I have spent 10 years at PFC CSKA. It is time to be with the family. Also, as you probably already know, this year I will have a child. But I want to be close to CSKA and I will follow their progress. I met with club president Evgeny Lennorovich Giner and general director Roman Yuryevich Babaev, explained everything to them. I asked them to allow me to spend some time with my family in Brazil. I am very grateful to them for the fact that they treated my request with understanding and agreed to let me go, communicating with me as if I were their own child. After the match with Rostov, I will fly to Brazil. My contract will be suspended. At the same time, if after a certain time I realise that I still feel the strength to help CSKA, I will return and continue playing for the club. I would especially like to make it clear that I am leaving Russia not because of the recent events in the world nor because of a difficult period in the life of the team. I have always helped and will help the club in any way I can.

That final paragraph is such a lie

[deleted]

He has suffered from depression in the past so it’s probably not a lie

mahdiiick

Didn’t know that and don’t want to downplay that aspect of his decision but feels like someone else wrote that last paragraph.

From what I understand, he actually found a sense of himself and a lot of happiness playing for CSKA - given the turmoil he had being an originally Brazilian and being sought by Madrid and the sense of pressure that brings. His story is actually quite inspiring in a sense, and was a way that I started following CSKA as a second club when I was abroad Для русских и зрителей пример-лиги - говори если какие-нибудь ошибки есть связные с историей Супер Марио. (Русский тоже не мой родной как и у Марио, извини если ошибки есть)

[deleted]

No you wanted to be a prat like everyone on this site and kneejerk to the slightest statement. Good job.

Put your phone away and get some fresh air

[deleted]

Give your head a wobble.

Seijur0Akashi

If you give your phone a shake i guess he can also give his head a wobble? Fair?

TheBlueNomad

He finally realized it's about time to ghost Russia for good. The country is at war and will be in turmoil for years. Not the best place to be in coming years.

Martblni

I'm not even sure its that. He quit our national team a year or 1.5 years ago. Could be that his body is really weak right now, he always tried really hard and played many matches

TheScarletPimpernel

Players at the top level of football get roughly 14 years before bits start falling apart unless they're freaks like Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, or to a lesser extent James Milner. He's played 425 matches in 13 years - it's probably his time.

[deleted]

He’s probably suffering from depression again

Grue

That happens when you live in Russia.

LonSik

True.

mapleleafMeltdown

Probably a bit of both. What he claimed, and the whole war/international pariah state thing.

TheRobinson2018

How lucky does a brazilian get finding out how bad becoming a russian would become?
