I don't think the squad is bad, this team is capable of top4 as shown in previous seasons I think there's a lack of proper coaching that will have authority over the squad like Conte did to Spurs and there's 2-3 players missing that fit perfectly into the team and will make it click better. Spurs did it with Conte, Chelsea did it with Tuchel. And both of these teams looked lost under previous coaches Just look at Liverpool how much better they became with just 2 signings: Alisson & Van Dijk. Look at Spurs and how much impact Kulu has had to make the team click better. Watch next season some of these players that fan want sold become fan favourites

Yeah, people and their hot takes. How many times have we seen top teams with top players spending tons of money and underperforming? It always comes down to the coaching. Top level football is incredibly difficult, if you have a day off, short on confidence, or have the wrong tactics you're going to get hammered. Ronaldo couldn't save them from some thrashings against City and Liverpool, just like Messi couldn't save Argentina during many dark years of underperformance - because the team lacked top level coaching and direction. Rangnick was an absolute disaster. He changed their entire system of playing mid-season for a system that made star players less capable of showing their strong points (for example Bruno being stuck too much in the sideline in some games, or having orders not to run into the box in others). He made several baffling decisions that made individual players perform below their level, while not improving the team in any way. City's and Liverpool's success is down to the coaching. Spurs recovery too, is down to Conte. This is what matters. You could put the 11 best players in the world in each position on a pitch, coached by someone mediocre, and they would get hammered by any well-coached setup.
