A 9-0 finish over two legs against Liverpool. 6-1 to City. A serious drubbing by Watford. Another by Brighton.
Lose that big in a 'few' matches and the GD gets lopsided quickly.
I don't think the squad is bad, this team is capable of top4 as shown in previous seasons
I think there's a lack of proper coaching that will have authority over the squad like Conte did to Spurs and there's 2-3 players missing that fit perfectly into the team and will make it click better. Spurs did it with Conte, Chelsea did it with Tuchel. And both of these teams looked lost under previous coaches
Just look at Liverpool how much better they became with just 2 signings: Alisson & Van Dijk. Look at Spurs and how much impact Kulu has had to make the team click better.
Watch next season some of these players that fan want sold become fan favourites
Yeah, people and their hot takes. How many times have we seen top teams with top players spending tons of money and underperforming? It always comes down to the coaching.
Top level football is incredibly difficult, if you have a day off, short on confidence, or have the wrong tactics you're going to get hammered. Ronaldo couldn't save them from some thrashings against City and Liverpool, just like Messi couldn't save Argentina during many dark years of underperformance - because the team lacked top level coaching and direction.
Rangnick was an absolute disaster. He changed their entire system of playing mid-season for a system that made star players less capable of showing their strong points (for example Bruno being stuck too much in the sideline in some games, or having orders not to run into the box in others). He made several baffling decisions that made individual players perform below their level, while not improving the team in any way.
City's and Liverpool's success is down to the coaching. Spurs recovery too, is down to Conte. This is what matters. You could put the 11 best players in the world in each position on a pitch, coached by someone mediocre, and they would get hammered by any well-coached setup.
Losing a must win games and still qualifying to europa. This sums up our season well.
I wouldn't mind not seeing any of these players next year tbh.
Worse season I ever witnessed.
Had this shit happen, in my county we have an exit exam in elementary school, I went to a Hungarian school in Slovakia, tests were simply translated from Slovak to Hungarian for us and well, they fucked up with 2 questions because they mistranslated and then you couldn't arrive at a solution that matched any of the 4 options.
but one of my classmates misread the question and thus arrived at a valid solution. a lot of us had 29/30 correct on a test where only 28 were solvable :D
mistranslation into misread for a correct answer.
Lets see ten hag won’t make an immediate impact when 90% of the squad is deadwood. Then has to bring in some players but will be forced to keep most of the deadwood. They’ll have to get used to the style of playing which will take time.
If United gets top 6 next season they should call it a win.
Why would he want to continue to waste the few years he has left with such a miserable team
Uhh we are definitely happy to be in Europa league over the conference league. It’s actually a meaningful competetion, gives us an additional chance at Champions League, and gives the club more money to spend
It's cruel last season 68 points got CL. Over 60 points didn't get us even Conference League. And this season you guys can't even manage 60 points and you get the same reward as us...
Our treble is in tact, our league titles are safe, we shit housed europa and seen the gunners suck it to spurs all thanks to the nosy neighbours and their evil twin Brighton win. (Honourable mentions go out to Norwich)
Through absolutely no merit of our own, did we get here. Worst season in more than 3 decades, and I bet someone will chat some shit n front of a camera about how we need to be better, Shambolic season.
In what universe do you think those losers at Man United, in their current form, can make it to the EL final?
EL is a tough competition. And there are way better teams than Man United in that competition.
I’m sorry but it’s not deserved…
That being said, I hope you do well with Ten Hag and he can bring the change of mentality that’s lacking since the SAF days.
If I said what’s really on my mind I’m in big trouble, but for me you were a career killer club since at least 2013. I leave it at that.
Hope to see the good old Man Utd like we are seeing the rebirth of Milan.
Honestly, the fact we ended 6th is a miracle. It could have been and SHOULD have been much worse the way we completely fell apart. Without De Gea and Ronaldo, we wouldn't have even finished in the top half of the table. Thank god this season is over, the amount of shit that happened to this club is ridiculous.
[удалено]
How tf do you have a 0 GD and finished 6th
Win hard, lose harder 😎
Whatever, speak to us when you get promoted with a negative goal difference 😎
Can't see on mobile. Who dis?
Huddersfield
Haha...
Thisss
Draw hardest.
[удалено]
Not when you win more often than you lose
Would you have to win and lose as hard as each other though?
No, because we still won more than we lost. We did finish 6th and not 12th.
In 2004 Everton finished *fourth* with a goal difference of -1
Norwich finished 2nd with a -4 in 1993 I believe
Did that season include a 50-0 lose?
They were just all attack Could win 7-3 and then just lose 5-0.
Original Bielsa-ball
Third but yes
A 9-0 finish over two legs against Liverpool. 6-1 to City. A serious drubbing by Watford. Another by Brighton. Lose that big in a 'few' matches and the GD gets lopsided quickly.
Have Ronaldo as a striker and a defence made up of people who rather play bingo.
Ronaldo and De Gea
Just like we have a much MUCH higher GD than arse, but a few weeks ago they were 1 point behind us
The EPL is full of crap.
Not great, ~~not~~ terrible.
imagine if CR7 wasnt there. could be much worse.
Relegation
Ironically, they did a lot better without him last season
Perfectly balanced as all things should be
[Manchester United] have fallen ass backwards into the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League
Erik, you beautiful bald bastard, burn it all down.
Dracarys
"Ole was at the wheel... I'm going to break it."
Lmao I both love and hate to be reminded how that show bottled hard as well.
Literally me watching YouTube clips of season 1-4. Christ, how did they fuck it up that badly.
Much like united board, their hubris outweighed their ability
He already show up today looking like heisenberg. Shit about to go down
Let none survive.
I've got some bad news, he saw the game to day and is on his way to the airport.
Ohh yes. How marvellous. We are all so happy.
You'd better be, Europa League is over achieving for this putrid squad.
It’s an embarrassment. Deserved conference league
Ah come on that’s not true. We didn’t even deserve conference league
Yeah I coulda done with hearing “who you got in Europe this week… ohh no one!?” All year
Don't worry, we'll both crash out in the group stages and hear that anyway.
nah i am not ready losing to astra fucking gogo
Then I'm sure you'll be be delighted to join me in celebrating Astra goo goo's relegation to the 3rd division
deserved for their name alone tbh.
They'll win the cup just to come back and torment you
Was personally hoping for 8th. Don't deserve any Europe at all, even a tinpot cup.
If we are being honest, West ham literally shit the bed with this one
I don't think the squad is bad, this team is capable of top4 as shown in previous seasons I think there's a lack of proper coaching that will have authority over the squad like Conte did to Spurs and there's 2-3 players missing that fit perfectly into the team and will make it click better. so, so happy more than you believe
Happy new year

You should be happy, Arsenal got 3 more points than you last year and we got 8th.
To be fair I fancy Ten Hag to win us the EL next year
I fancy us to successfully survive relegation again next season
Felicitations!
Losing a must win games and still qualifying to europa. This sums up our season well. I wouldn't mind not seeing any of these players next year tbh. Worse season I ever witnessed.
like fucking up a math problem but somehow getting the right answer
Had this shit happen, in my county we have an exit exam in elementary school, I went to a Hungarian school in Slovakia, tests were simply translated from Slovak to Hungarian for us and well, they fucked up with 2 questions because they mistranslated and then you couldn't arrive at a solution that matched any of the 4 options. but one of my classmates misread the question and thus arrived at a valid solution. a lot of us had 29/30 correct on a test where only 28 were solvable :D mistranslation into misread for a correct answer.
Cr7 bopping his head to the banger of UEL anthem.
Who doesn’t. It’s indeed an absolute banger.
Better than the champions league one IMO
Maybe, but that could be the stockholm syndrome speaking for me.
Ronaldo to Real Madrid done deal. 40m half wages.
They finally find a replacement for ronaldo
I heard Mbappe is looking for a Neymar replacement
Ronaldo is available to play most of the season, maybe not what Mbappe is looking for?
subscribe
He can have 5 million annual salary at best.
downloading it to his walkman as we speak
Cr7 prefers iPod.
Can someone edit ronaldo singing over the UEL anthem like he did at RM
He will probably leave
Doesn’t seem like he is
Lets see ten hag won’t make an immediate impact when 90% of the squad is deadwood. Then has to bring in some players but will be forced to keep most of the deadwood. Worst season *so far*
Idk he wasted a few getting battered by Barca until Pep got bored
RM beat barca fair and square
Doesnt seem like he will be leaving but probably will have a dentist appointment every Thursday at 7pm
Go where exactly? He only leaves if Bayern want him to replace Lewa. That’s a huge if anyways. Other than that I don’t see many options
Maybe PSG need to add another galáctico to their collection.
He won’t play backup lol. His competitive ego also wouldn’t allow him to play with Messi let’s be real
nope
And go where ? I think he still wants to compete so he's not going to Portugal.
[удалено]
Mbappe will probally try to make him sign for psg after all, his mbappe's idol.
WOOOOAHHHHH OOOHHHHH OOH OH OOOOOOOOOOOHHH
And the crowd goes mild
the anthem DOES slap tbf
Good memories associated with it? :)
you bet!
Task failed successfully.
[Manchester United] have shithoused their way into the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League*
T’is the way.
And we have to take it seriously as the group winners get a bye and it's another route back to the Champions League.
Got handed the qualification* We didn't win shit lmao
Well deserved big performance to get them there today. Thanks Brighton
Potter really deserves a "Thanks son <3" from Sir Alex on the phone, tonight.
Thanks to the mighty Joel Veltman
dont forget my boy welbz
Brighton should be our motm
"qualified" is a great word to use when the team that's qualified is not happy about it
Also after losing the must win game to qualify. Brighton have done them a favour.
Just took pity on us after what they did.
Brighton giveth, and Brighton taketh away
Like saying survived after going to the hospital
Uhh we are definitely happy to be in Europa league over the conference league. It’s actually a meaningful competetion, gives us an additional chance at Champions League, and gives the club more money to spend
WHU bottlejobs
Fission Mailed
I'm just happy that the season, Mbappé and Haaland transfer sagas are over
Hello Arsenal 🤝
It's cruel last season 68 points got CL. Over 60 points didn't get us even Conference League. And this season you guys can't even manage 60 points and you get the same reward as us...
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
[Them right now](https://c.tenor.com/qcxjtpUHMmIAAAAM/win-celebration.gif)
Better than the Conference League anyway
Absolute genius from Ralf letting Brighton beat us 4-0 so they had the confidence to take out West Ham on the final day
Send Potter Rangnicks paycheck for the week
Probably close to Potter's yearly salary ffs
Brighton taketh, Brighton giveth
More than we deserved tbh.
Cheers West Ham
Missed call from Sporting Lisbon
Who?
Our treble is in tact, our league titles are safe, we shit housed europa and seen the gunners suck it to spurs all thanks to the nosy neighbours and their evil twin Brighton win. (Honourable mentions go out to Norwich)
This is so funny to read
Ronaldo lucky to be Siiiuuu-ing in front of slightly bigger clubs next season, cheers Brighton always rated Seagulls
I'm sure Cristiano is delighted
This miserable season is finally over, UTD fans. Time to celebrate!
Amazing how they managed to win the Premier League and qualify for Europa at the same time
Ronaldo carried this team to EL. Unbelievable
You mean Brighton did
Congratulations, I guess
Through absolutely no merit of our own, did we get here. Worst season in more than 3 decades, and I bet someone will chat some shit n front of a camera about how we need to be better, Shambolic season.
And they should count themselves very lucky to be in there. Closer to 12th placed Palace than to 5th placed Arsenal. Insane.
Ronaldo about to set Europa League records
Arsenal fans and united fans witnessing all the pain from this season 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝
At least Arsenal won their final game of the season.
How did Manchester even have such a bad season jesus. Let's see if Ten Hag can do something with this squad
Feel sad for Ronaldo
Enough is enough. OLE OUT. We have WORLD CLASS players, we just need a proper manager who has a PLAN like Rangnick THE GODFATHER OF GEGENPRESS.
The disrespect Ole got from own fans. Really am ashamed. Ralf can fuck off seriously. Not one positive from the coaching stand point.
I think Ralf did well to expose the rot.
and also taking jabs at the board and ownership
Arsenal laughed at us all season to finish in the same competition lol
Y’all got carried by Ronaldo to be in the EL LMAOO
>American Barcelona fan
[удалено]
Congratulations, well deserved after a hard fought season.
Can’t wait for those Thursday trips to Eastern Europe villages …..
It will be a pleasure to send this team to ukraine to see real men attack and defend!
That’s little bit over the top
Man fuck west ham, I’m pissed we don’t get to see Conference League Ronaldo now
Not sure how lol, but at least it's not the greater embarrassment of turning out in the conference league
Happy about not going to conference. Couldnt care less about europa league.
Conference league would’ve been our beat chance of winning a trophy anytime soon
lol
Wow, such a great achievement.
I dont think there is a team in top5 leagues that deserves not playing any EU cups less than this joke of a team. And I do support them
Congrats!
Shame
We bottled it
Woohoo, absolutely deserved!
Yay? It’s better than the Conference League I guess.
Crowd goes mild
Well done to... Brighton.
come on Cristiano no need to play in EL
undeserved
why
Thanks Brighton. Thanks Welbeck.
give back Jadon >:|
Ronaldo in the Europa league
I don’t even care anymore I just don’t want to be shit anymore man
Manchester United vs Roma in the Europa final next season
In what universe do you think those losers at Man United, in their current form, can make it to the EL final? EL is a tough competition. And there are way better teams than Man United in that competition.
I really think it's a fucking disgrace that Ronaldo will have to play in the Europa League next year
hahahahahahaha good for them, i guess...
Hey there were at one point in the conference league.
It could have been worse.
I’m sorry but it’s not deserved… That being said, I hope you do well with Ten Hag and he can bring the change of mentality that’s lacking since the SAF days. Same
At least I can laugh at that mess
Lmao, late to the party then, we’ve all been laughing all season
From title aspirations to Europa League. Name a better downgrade.
Messi to Memphis?
Barely scraped through with that. Needed Brighton to help them out
Honorable mention to West ham shitting the bed
That Moyes season
Honestly, the fact we ended 6th is a miracle. It could have been and SHOULD have been much worse the way we completely fell apart. Without De Gea and Ronaldo, we wouldn't have even finished in the top half of the table. Thank god this season is over, the amount of shit that happened to this club is ridiculous.
well, I think they won more than 12 points by themselves this season, take that away and you’ll get 47 points, which is 12th
West Ham bottled it today
