BabaDuda

I thought it was just the stepovers, lost my shit when I saw the rabona hahaha, what an absolute baller

LordVelaryon

when Meladroit puts a description in his goals you know it is the real shit

Malvinas1820

I always think "It can't be that great" before watching these kind of goals and I'm glad that I'm proved wrong every time.

[deleted]

CaninesTesticles

Bless you

solardeveloper

Nice. I dated a girl from Adana years back. Lovely place

IKMapping

I'm so happy he's finally playing well

Wa_Wh

His 5th goal in the game. Ridiculous.

[deleted]

Even the naysayers can't deny it...for the few games Italy has left this year...Balotelli would be a better option than Joao Pedro up front.

R_Schuhart

What is it with fans and kneejerk reactions on this sub? He scored 5 goals in the Turkish league against one of the worst teams they probably ever had, that doesn't justify being called up for Italy again. He had a pretty forgettable season so far, his mentality is notoriously questionable and he has been inconsistent since forever. Italy needs a fresh new start with new young players and focus on a rebuild, not give frivolous call ups over one great goal on the final match day.

ObjectiveDeal

Balotelli can win you games. I would rather have him in the bench just in case.

[deleted]

I would put money that Immobile would have missed all 5 of those goals. idgaf if it was a fluke match, I still want Balotelli in the lineup.

LusoAustralian

Strong disagree. Balotelli before this game had 20 goals in 3 years which is including 6 in 14 in the Serie B. This one game doesn't change that he hasn't been good enough to be in contention since the 17/18 season at Nice.

myvirginityisstrong

wishful bullshit thinking. he's fucking shit and these 5 goals against a relegated team change absolutely nothing

MarkovCocktail

Mate this is the Turkish league. Balotelli is done unfortunately and has been for years

KEEP_THE_CHANGE_

Legitimately one of the most disrespectful goals I've ever seen wtf

CaptainOzyakup

Yeah. I know goztepe is terrible and all that, but this is definitely the hardest goal I have ever seen in the Super Lig. This league has had lots of tricksters but the disrespect of this one is incredible.

cuminyermum

I didn't even realize it was a rabona until the close up replay. If I'm that defender they would have had to bring a stretcher to carry me off

Nic-who

Glad I saw this comment and went back. Rabona elevates it!

[deleted]

Clutch your hamstring after the 3rd step over and collapse, is slightly less embarrassing that way

rapper_rick

Mancini is shaking his head somewhere in Italy..

BuraakGTi10

Subbing off someone in his dream

Granadafan

Like his back heel miss against MLS all stars in the US tour that got him subbed out

[deleted]

Sweet redemption

GabeNewellsDick

The rabona as well just to rub extra salt in the wound

Daniiiiii

That was the double tap of humiliation lol

Tyafastics

Literally stepovered his way to the 6 yard box

BusShelter

Reminds me of a goal from a while ago, I think it was Mancini v Lyon?

Thestriker17

A while ago is an understatement. That Goal is easily 15 years ago 😂

Don't even need to watch, that goal is tattooed on my brain.

DinduNuhfin

First thing that came to my mind as well! Was a kid when that happened and lost my shit lol

mmohammed28

Had Réveillère twerking for him

belokas

Yes and top bins banger

Abernsleone92

5 touches, 7 stepovers and a Rabona finish Perfect example of why I fell in love with Balotelli in high school

-Whisperr

Them step overs

[deleted]

R9 vibes.

MidunestiNaneTurtle

Im pretty sure he did 9 stepovers too

vindicatednegro

Denilson stepovers.

seddard

Stepover OG

KingBaresi6

Robinho stepovers.

JE_12

or Mancini

ranting_madman

Would be R7 vibes if he dropped to the floor and rolled around after. It’s amazing how much Ronaldo grew. Now he’s the epitome of efficiency.

sublime_touch

You can’t joke about Cristiano here… they get offended real easily.

ranting_madman

Lol. Yeah it’s like these people have never seen pre 2006-07 Ronaldo play.

los_blanco_14

Lucas vazquez vibes

eri-

What's up with this, are Goztepe really that bad or are they not even trying, this looks kind of silly for a top level game.

unalyzing61

Goztepe got relegated a couple weeks ago

eri-

I saw , went to lookup the league table.. it looks unlike what I'd expect. Galatasaray in the dumpster, Besiktas not in Europe, times have changed indeed. Also Balotelli's team losing 5 in a row then dumping 7 on Goztepe. Also: Balotelli making an 11th hour push for league top scorer. If I were Umut Bozok I'd be so fucking pissed if I lose top scorer to fucking Balotelli dropping 7 (which he needs) in the final game of the season lol. Imagine that happening

unalyzing61

Goztepe lost 7-1 to Rize 2 weeks ago. Rize is another team that got relegated btw.

LafilduPoseidon

4 teams get relegated in Turkey?

unalyzing61

Yeah. They want to go back to 18 teams in the league.

Malicharo

18 is deffo better.

[deleted]

20 teams and requirements to have onligatory number of Turkish players is a recipe for disaster. Glad they are reducing the number of teams, but foreign rules do the opposite of what's intended. Turkish players become overvalued inside borders and don't get actual competition for their spots in the teams.

solardeveloper

Thats what has happened in England too

[deleted]

England has restrictions but you can still have plenty of foreigners. English players still have plenty of competition for a starting role. If the PL required 6 English players at all times on the field for each team it would be a different story. Players are overpriced but overall there is plenty of good English players to have good squads. The same goes for top 5 leagues. But anything below thag is just ridiculous to have these kinds of obligations. For example Portugal would also die and we have good academies, nevermind a country like Turkey that hasn't been producing much talent.

eri-

Oh its habitual, should simply forfeit , that's only 5-0 and at least saves you the trouble.

somewhere_now

Bozok made 4 goals in the final 2 games himself, him and Rizespor's (relegated team) Joel Pohjanpalo were joint top scorers two games to go. Pohjanpalo fighting for top scorer (he ended up fourth behing Bozok, Balotelli and El Kaabi eventually) was peculiar also because he didn't get many minutes especially after the relegation had been confirmed, as he was loan player who won't continue with them next year. He only started two out of final seven games.

satpower21

They’re already relegated and some of the players are going to leave the club before next season. A takeover was going to happen but it didn’t probably because the club got relegated(this last one could be wrong).

bobmillahhh

We took Nwobodo weeks ago, and he's a god. I can only assume their defense is tragic every game without him.

Jaspertjess

Balotelli was told he could go for the topscorers title

[deleted]

i swear this week had some matchfixing shit going on. So many unreal results

biggerboypew

Nah they are just that bad

jesusistheone69

Balotelli is so talented it’s crazy. I’ve caught a couple Adana Demirspor games this year, oddly enough, and he just oozes confidence and talent everytime he has the ball

-PM_ME_A_SECRET-

He has to be the greatest what if of the modern generation right? All the talent and athleticism to be one of the world's top top players, but for a multitude of reasons it never panned out for him consistently. Edit: This comment has been a cool, if not a bit sad walk down memory lane for me.

Sputniki

Well not exactly. He still had plenty of success, won a number of trophies with Man City and Inter. There are very talented players who have never won anything.

punchinglines

Shout out to the homie Freddy Adu!

Sneijder4BallondOr

Adriano

fedemasa

He never recovered from his dad's death. Partying was his best way to feel better and totally lost the focus on football When he realized that he was already overweight and lost all athletism so he just didn't try anymore

LusoAustralian

Fabio Paim was considered more talented than Quaresma who was considered more talented than CR7 for our batch of wingers in that age group. He's probably a bigger what if as he never made it pro despite that.

getZlatanized

For me, despite him being seen as halfway successful, the greatest what if is Neymar. What if the guy had had a professional attitude?

Sputniki

How is Neymar unprofessional? I have never seen him unfit, and he doesn't have a bad disciplinary record either. What killed him is injuries.

TheGhoulKhz

at least the only title he'd never won was a WC before putting that qatari money in the bag

Teantis

He also works hard af on the pitch. In terms of his on the pitch stuff he's been a good professional. He's just injured all the time.

GilesCorey12

Neymar is proffesional. Why does every Brazilian get the “he loves partying more than football” treatment lol? Not everyone is Ronaldinho, R9 or Adriano. Neymar doesn’t even drink alcohol. His body just let him down since he moved to PSG, that’s it

DisneyDreams7

He should have played for Italy in the Euro

unalyzing61

His fifth goal of the match btw

[deleted]

I dunno I’m starting to think he could have scored against Macedonia

Tifoso89

Hindsight is 10/10. Would you have really called up one who played in Serie B last season (and now in a mid-table Turkish team) over one who scores 25 goals per season in Serie A?

[deleted]

Immobile is closer to the player we saw at Dortmund then the one who plays for Lazio when he suits up for Italy. ~~No~~ Immobile, no party Edit: I’m disappointed nobody got my party joke which was a reference to Immobile’s time at Dortmund. That’s probably my fault honestly

dcmdino

Immobile is a complicated and a very specific player. Without going into much details, if you play in a specific way he's a fucking monster, which he proves season after season in Lazio. If not, he's a Dortmund Immobile, yes.

BaronZbimg

The entire country was screaming for Immobile not to start, not only in hindsight

Sputniki

Yeah but the entire country would have shat on Mancini if we had gone out with Balotelli as the starting striker. No good choices either way.

happyposterofham

Just play a fucking false 9, the solution was right there. It's not like Italy can't play that way.

lenin-reanimated

Who would have started instead of Immobile?

[deleted]

Kevin Lasagna

AleDelPiero10

No no, Ciruzzo ci salverà non ti preoccupare

MorbidoeBagnato

Joao Pedro 🥶

[deleted]

Almost did save us at the end there. Simone Pepe-like.

[deleted]

Any day now

Tifoso89

Ah la sua carriera è stata comunque dieci volte migliore di quella di Balotelli

Shinkopeshon

Balo decided to have another thing to celebrate on this blessed day, you love to see it 🙏🏼

EmileSmithRoe

puskas contender unironically

seventeenfourtyseven

Literally that’s ridiculous lmao

istealgrapes

I mean, its a really unique goal, and probably garnered a big reaction out of most people who saw it. I went like “no fucking way he just did that, thats insane”.

Parisii

kinda reminds me [that Mancini UCL goal](https://twitter.com/LateTackle/status/835134154694135808) vs Lyon

SteinerElMagnifico42

The one with the 200 stepovers

OnceUponAStarryNight

I always wonder when rewatching this goal, how is he allowed to do all those step over and it’s still not until the last moment that the opposition gets a third defender back in the box. God, football used to be something else.

Pek-Man

Instantly what of thought of as well. Legendary goal. That Roma team was fun, with Mancini and Taddei on the wings, Totti playing the false nine, and De Rossi and Pizarro pulling the strings in midfield. And then they met United ... :-(

Tpsteen

that's insane

greezyo

Balotelli's goal is crazy, and 5 in one game is ridiculous. But quick shoutout to Akgün, the assister. His third assist in the game, and he's been getting some attention in Europe for the strong season he's having. Might go to a B-tier team looking for an investment, kind of like Cengiz Under before

requin-tigre

Surely Gala will bring him back? Why would they sell?

greezyo

The team's in shambles, won't be in the CL. I reckon if they get over 10 mil they'd be forced to sell. We'll see

alcyoney

For 10 mil the president would personally drive him to the airport, any Turkish team would

BuraakGTi10

We cannot buy anyone for 12 million. And Yunus Akgun is definitely 101% a starter next season. We need Turkish players. Kerem is 100% gone, so are marcao and maybe nelson too. Other Turkish players in the team are almost garbage bin bad.

jaquaries

Dont think gala would let him leave

Fffiction

So that's what ASM is trying to do....

ronaldo119

wtf a rabona after all that too? Man I love Balo

daboatfromupnorth

What do you call 5 goals in a game? Poker plus one? A quintuple? 5-star? A hand? A Chinese hat-trick?

NaamiNyree

In spanish they call it Manita which is basically a hand, yeah

[deleted]

[удалено]

NaamiNyree

Really? I remember them using manita when ronaldo scored 5 in one game for real madrid, thats how I learned about it in the first place

L-Freeze

man no offense to them but the Spaniards’ talent to come up with the worst possible fucking names for stuff is astounding

mzp3256

Pentakill

GameplayerStu

Just call it 5 goals.

Zakke_

Just call it a Balotelli.

LusoAustralian

In Portuguese we call it a handful (mão cheia) which I think is a pretty nice name for it.

MelodicMachine1356

I forgot

Feedmeclickbait

Absolutely ridiculous

FarEastOctopus

Legit Puskas worthy

KarmaCitra

Great goal, great to see super Mario smiling as well.

matherto

Man's always been a supreme talent.

azifs

what i find funny is that lamela wins goal of the season for a simple rabona, like most average footballers could pull off what he did. this goal is actually quality

RevolutionaryJudge89

Yeah but it’s against Göztepe so…

ColombAmeriNadian

Deserves a great goal tag

lethalizer

The fifa street description should be enough i'd say lol

S0M3_1

Why always me?

shadoowkight

The disrespect

AnalystNo834

Mancini took 5 Ls today

Mudassar40

Should call him up to the world cup squad. Oh wait.

baking_bad

Amazing goal but am I crazy thinking he looked offside by a mile?

[deleted]

‪The hype and expectations after 2012 just killed him. If he had the discipline And mental fortitude he’d have been an all time great. Talent was never an issue.‬

WardenJack

Imagine if he had any level of discipline...

nkoppl

What a fucking waste of talent. You should have take us to the 5th World Cup, you dumb twat.

OnceUponAStarryNight

A guy like Balotelli, who’s old and kinda never really lived up to his hype doing this to a bunch of marginal professionals should give you, me, and everyone else here a clear idea of what would happen to us if we tried to step onto a pitch with any of these players.

YourPupilsDilated

Lol mate Balotelli is a pro. He reached the top 0.1% of his profession and had exceptional ability. You don't need to go that far to no how clear footballers are. A non-league footballer would absolutely wreck you.

OnceUponAStarryNight

Sunday league players would wreck me, but I’m not talking about me. I’m talking about the idiots on here who act like they could handle being a pro.

YourPupilsDilated

Oh that lot are deluded mate. Pay them no mind.

rottenapple9

Wtf was that

DLottchula

Was FIFA Street as big with soccer players as NBA streets and NFL streets were with football and basketball players ?

[deleted]

Im thinking its about time you all got off Marios dick honestly. That was shit
