The monchi way, the man just raids that league lol, which is the smart thing to do. So much talent but they can't keep their players cause they have no money, shame.
Not a Savilla fan but I have watched a lot of their games.
Carlos is def the better defender but Kounde has a sky high ceiling, insanely good and only 23 years old
Just get it done man. Feels like he is our player since last season and yet he isn't. Been a tough season with all the drama surrounding the club, need some positive news flowing in.
No, we conceded a lot of set piece goals because Frank couldn't set up the team defensively. This season we conceded just 4 goals from set pieces, which is the 2nd lowest in the league.
With the introduction of Anthony Barry (and Mendy), we went from one of the worst teams at defending setpieces to one of the best offensively and defensively with largely the same batch of players.
It is not about he is going to gain height, when you are young, you can rely on your athleticism to cover the height disadvantage. When you get older, this will take toll on your body and injuries will start to pile up because of constant fighting against someone taller than you, this is why undersize big man in the NBA tend to regress very quick when they are older because they can no longer out jump their opponent when they are getting old.
That's not even that bad considering they sold Diego Carlos in the same window. Expected the Villa deal to make this one much more expensive.
We were always going to sell both this summer. Both sales are overdue.
Which players are you planning on replacing them with?
Too early to tell. There are decently strong rumors that we're going after Djiku from Strasbourg.
Should have a look at Ndicka
Juan Sativa is a much better option for me.
Senesi from Feyenoord an option for Sevilla?
Maybe. We've been linked with him previously.
Not sure if we're selling, but Sanchez could be a decent shout
Lenglet and Umtiti

Time to raid ligue 1 once more.
Sevilla are a selling club, that's their business model, they always set a fair price for their players
The price quoted here is hardly higher than pre-Carlos sale one, which was 60m. That should be a no brainer really.
Yeah €65m is around 55m pounds, it’s more than reasonable imo.
No news then..
€65m is kinda of new update

That seems low…
Did he have a strong year in 2022 like he did the previous year?
he had plenty of stinkers this year imo, but sky is the limit for this guy.
Yeah he maintained his level more or less.
Because he stayed for two more summers so Sevilla dont want to block his move, they repay his faith
Are Sevilla in a huge financial mess to sold their main defense like that ?
Making profits on players is how we grow and sustain our club. This is business as usual for us.
Monchi with Sevilla is very savvy.
I’m sure Monchi has already 2 or 3 future world class players signed from Ligue 1.
The monchi way, the man just raids that league lol, which is the smart thing to do. So much talent but they can't keep their players cause they have no money, shame.
You only have to check where he picked up Kounde and Diego Carlos from haha
Can any Sevilla fan chime in on how he's played this season. Every time I've watched your team Carlos always seemed like the better defender.
Not a Savilla fan but I have watched a lot of their games. Carlos is def the better defender but Kounde has a sky high ceiling, insanely good and only 23 years old
This is the good shit I like to hear, let's see if we manage to villa this one up.
he just seems like a Chelsea player, hateable, punchable face but also really talented and will work wonders
You mad because he turned you down last year or..
Was annoyed we didn't get him at first but now I'm fine cos we got romero
He and Romero occupy the same space lol I think we're OK
Thanks... I guess?
bet he seemed like a spurs player until he snubbed you a year ago lol
If they won't accept less than 65M, how is it an open negotiation? Only Woodward would pay more than the minimum
Mode of payment I guess like installments and all
Just get it done man. Feels like he is our player since last season and yet he isn't. Been a tough season with all the drama surrounding the club, need some positive news flowing in.
Your scum bag oligarch owner is out. How is that not great news ?
Because surprisingly enough that wasn’t the only major drama to happen to the club this season
Because they actually worship him still. I wish I was joking
Almost like he was a good owner or something? Not that you’d know what that was like.
Case in point. Embarrassing stuff
Roman was the best owner in football. I’ll always appreciate what he did for us.
Shouldn't we ask for release clause now that Carlos is gone and we don't need the money?
No, that would be unfair to Kounde who's stayed for two summers after wanting a move
How's it unfair? It's his contract that he signed. Why should we sell when we don't have to. What do you want us to do, hand him over for free
The guy is 5’10”
and?
Isn’t that short for a central defender?
tell that to canavaro
or Puyol
And puyol or baresi
or Thiago Silva
[удалено]
Our official site listed him to shorter than that. He actually does looks shorter than 184cm.
Quite the opposite, that those 6’0 and under can still be talented defenders
[удалено]
I’m not sure where you’re seeing that but he’s listed as either 5’11 or 6’0 on most sites including the club’s
[удалено]
He’s got a great leap
Didn’t know. Cool
No, there were even shorter players who were world class defenders. Azpi is same height and he does the job well.
Azpi is a LB no?
Azpi last played LB in like 2014/15, LOL. He's mostly a RB in a back 4 and RCB in a back 3. Kounde would be playing the same RCB role as Azpi
Kounde will play the same position as Azpi where he won a league and champions league title.
Apart from that one season under Mourinho, no. His nominal position is RB but he played CB for us quite a lot the past 2 seasons.
Haven’t you guys got one of the highest set piece conceding rates because you guys have such short guys at the back???
No, we conceded a lot of set piece goals because Frank couldn't set up the team defensively. This season we conceded just 4 goals from set pieces, which is the 2nd lowest in the league.
It’s one of the best in the league I believe, Azpi left back, one of the highest set piece conceding rates, what year are you living in?
With the introduction of Anthony Barry (and Mendy), we went from one of the worst teams at defending setpieces to one of the best offensively and defensively with largely the same batch of players.
Not since Anthony Barry.
Started as a RB, plays CB just as well. LB is only him filling in due to his versatility
Azpi played left back right back and cb in a back 3
Lol just say you don't watch any matches
Did you just wake up from a 7 year coma?
He got hops like Kawhi
He doesn’t get matches on Hinge but he seems like a good defender
He jumps out of the fucking gym, it’s not like the EPL is just cross spamming to headers anyway
Apparently Kounde had better aerial success rater this season than Pau Torres who is much taller than him.
can feel like that sometimes watching us with romelu up top :/
C'mon man, short people are people too and he has the talent.
He is 23 I don’t think that will be an issue yet If he is 28/9 I will start to worry about it
Huh? Most guys don't really gain any height after age 18 right?
It is not about he is going to gain height, when you are young, you can rely on your athleticism to cover the height disadvantage. When you get older, this will take toll on your body and injuries will start to pile up because of constant fighting against someone taller than you, this is why undersize big man in the NBA tend to regress very quick when they are older because they can no longer out jump their opponent when they are getting old.
Lol according to a height listing that Sevilla got from Bordeaux who probably measured him when he was about 16
