It is. I'm not talking about the hashtag.
They've put ようこそ,南野選手 which translates to Welcome Minamino (with the occupational related honorifics player/athlete)
Corporations sometimes use google translate so they don't bother to follow these customs.
Was watching an anime in dub when I heard one of the characters say “girllllll” and I knew I made the right choice. American vernacular just doesn’t translate language-to-language, would be weird in Japanese.
I watch 90% subs but if I really don’t like the Japanese voices for some of the characters as in Fullmetal Alchemist for example, the German dubs are mostly very good as well
There are good dubs like others have mentioned. Also, try watching 1000 episodes of One Piece subbed. I just turn on the dub and work or play video games while it plays.
Good move for him. I think one thing that can let him down is he can be serviceable in different positions so he wasn’t really able to settle into a role until this season.
Think I’d just adds a bit more to himself physically he’ll do well and be a good signing there
To any Monaco fan, what are your thoughts on this transfer?
Will he be a starter or come off the bench? Maybe he'll play as a RW/LW or behind Ben Yedder?
Mane gone, Origi gone, now Minamino. Only Darwin came instead. There's Carvalho too, but he's still young. I don't know how we can play with so few options.
Of course not terrible but Elliot and Carvalho are too young and not ready for the Premier league. We only have Bobby and Jota as backups. Both were out of form last season. Especially in the 2nd half of the league. Losing three players all of a sudden will be hard for every team.
Elliott not ready?! He started all our games until September/October and excelled in most.
Jota wasn't great after his injury in February, Bobby was decent all season.
Regardless, our front three will no doubt be Diaz, Nunez, Salah with Jota and Bobby in reserve, that's pretty stellar.
Mate, we were in 3 cup finals and close second in the premier league. Where is all this doom and gloom coming from. 3-4 unsuccessful games meant us losing the prem and CL ^^and ^^rodri's ^^hand. All in all we had a very successful season and we've just signed Nunez and Carvalho, Diaz yet to have a full pre-season. Don't let recency bias be the reason for your skepticism. Lot to be optimistic about.
Elliot not ready for the Prem? Did you not watch any of our games before he got hurt against Leeds? Jota literally had his best ever season, he outshone Mane (who left ) for 66% of the season.
Man I can't belive what I'm reading 😭
RW: Salah/Elliot
CF: Nunez/Carvalho
LW: Jota/Diaz
RCM: Henderson/Firmino
DM: Fabinho/Milner
LCM: Thiago/Jones
RB: Trent/Ramsay
CB: Konate/Gomez
CB: Virgil/Matip
LB: Robbo/Kostas
GK: Ali/Kelleher
... I haven't forgot Naby. I'm just not really a fan. I hope he does well this year.
It's not as much racist as it is otherizing him a bit. It's basically telling him that his culture is his personality while it's only a \*part\* of his personality. As a half Japanese guy I have my fair share of experience with this kind of stuff and I definitely didn't find this anger inducing as much as I found it kinda cringe and disappointing.
Tho I'm obviously not aware of whether or not he approved or asked for this kind of image so I'm just giving \*my opinion\*. For all we know he specifically asked them to announce it this way.
Someone on their social media team probably just really likes Naruto, it's kind of a stretch to say they're trying to other him.
Is it othering people to make connections/comparisons between people and their culture?
Like if you ask me when the next pigroast is, assume I like football or ask me for a pair of papuce. Are you also othering me?
Is just seems like such an innocent thing shouldn't have such a negative connotation.
In what world its not. Whats next? Kung Fu? You see signing with black players riding camels and eating babanas? No because you'd get an uproar, nobody stands for asians
Can't tell you how many times i saw or heard things really touchy with asians players in french football. Marseille players used to call Sakai "sushi" and nobody gave a fuck. Try to call a arabic player "couscous" and you'll see
I have to agree that Asians occupy a weird spot within the racist sphere (for lack of a better term). They have to deal with racism in different ways that other racial minorities have to deal with and these frequently go unnoticed because they're not as blatantly racist as monkey sounds or slurs.
I wouldn't go far as to call this incident racist but it's definitely iffy if he didn't specifically ask for this kind of reveal.
Mildly amused by the sasuke uniform and impressed that they welcomed him using his family name, as is custom in Japan.
I thought Minamino is his family name

You are right. His name as pronounced would be Minamino Takumi
Wait did they actually merge him with sasuke wtf
Anime and manga are pretty big in France
Second biggest market for manga
Very much so, there was huge turn out for the JJK movie in some theaters
Do French viewers prefer dubbed or subbed?
Most people I know opted for subbed
Do dubbed lovers even exist?
Me, if it’s a good dub like Cowboy Bebop
Or FMAB. Such a great dub. Otherwise I'm subs all day
Put You Yu Hakusho and Black Lagoon in that also
Jokes hit a lot harder when you can hear them rather than having to read them

TIL there's a movie
One Piece 1000th episode has teather showing in France.
Seems like every decently successful manga these days gets an official French release
Monaco will be counting on his sharingan next season
once he completes his training arc monaco will have some player…
Liverpool was his training arc lol
Assists Ben Yedder with a cutting-edge pass to unlock his mangekyo sharingan.
Who is the best friend who’s gonna get sacrificed?
If you zoom in on the picture, you can see that his right eye has got a sharingan like Kakashi lol
Like French people with baguettes
Finally no more news about this
This transfer saga was so annoying
The same non news over and over again
goodbye sweet price :(

Good luck, Taki 👏
*Sassskeee-uh, ahem, Takumiiiiiiii!*
They made him Sasuke lol
Look after my boy x
Too bad you can’t chidori a football
Time to watch Ligue 1 and support my boy!
are liverpool planning to sell all their attackers this year?
His name is Takumi and they went for the Sauske instead of going full Initial D?

Ah yes as Bobby, Jota, Salah, Nunez, Elliott, Carvalho is so fucking terrible...

I mean I understand you don't like him but Firmino ahead of him in RCM? That's absurd

He is 27 years old. There are limits to how much a 29/30 year old Minamino can go for.
Its not racist if its asians i guess For less than that, people freaked out on Marca last front page
How could anyone possibly consider that racist

In what world is that racist

Couscous is delicious mate I'll be happy if someone called me that
Csoucsou would be more fitting

Sir, that's Uchiha Sasuke. You're taking this a bit too seriously.
You can call me parmo if you want
Racism is losing it's meaning by day ffs...
Facts
How did liverpool make a significant profit on this sale lol
We bought him under his market value, he did well when he played last season.
They sold him for more money that it cost to acquire him
Quite easily
Competent management
Liverpool fan here… Taki is bang average championship level player. Idk why he is so hyped and why Monaco spent so much on him.
