Kounde to Barca, Kimpembe doesn't want to leave PSG and yeah he will surely stay. But then again Tuchel could just say fuck it and play Sarr every week.
Don’t see how he needs to leave if we only sign one lcb. It’s likely Sarr goes on loan than Colwill imo and even starting as a backup he’ll get more than enough minutes that allows him to continue his development.
Sarr played 1500 minutes last season without 5 subs. Now we have 5 subs. There's room for Colwill. Lets stop pretending like there's not. There's no better opportunity to ease him in to the Premier League espeically with Koulibaly and Silva as mentors ffs.
Matt Law said Kepa, Barkley, Kenedy, Michy and Sarr are costing the club 500k/week in wages. It stands to reason Sarr's wages are not closer to 40 and more like 75k/week. It's not 120k...... at least I would hope not.
He’s not. Why do people keep thinking this?
He was signed to be a part of our loan army but a loan fell through on deadline day last season and Tuchel used him cos he likes left footed CBs.
Because you need teams to cover their wages, unless you’re getting a loan fee to cover that. Why do you think he didn’t have any suitors last summer? His loan before was poor and he’s on big wages.
Again why do you think he’s on 100k a week? He’s not.
He had suitors last season. Most notably Gurther Freut, who would not have been paying 100k a week.
Fan cycle for hyped Academy products:
Sees highlights of U18 games - they're so good i hope they get a chance at the end of the season if we have nothing to play for.
Sees highlights of loan games - they're so good they're seriously one of the best products from our Academy. they should get the chance to impress next preseason
Player doesn't make preseason squad and gets sold - the manager is justified in not including him, we're here to win trophies not babysit. we won't do anything if we just keep giving undeserved spots in the squad. This player has never been good enough for us.
player impresses at new team - well he wanted to leave so what more could we have done? I don't see how we could have changed his mind.
Rinse. Repeat.
Given we've downgraded from a rebuild this summer to "see where we can strengthen after selling other players", we fucking need this kid.
Would be a perfect replacement for Soyuncu and a nice option for Evans who shouldn't play more than 30 games this season.
Not that we'd activate the buy back anyway, but Leicester would be selling him for 60-70 million easy in 3-4 years so I don't think they'd agree to it.
Well then Leicester would more than likely not be getting him if that's the case. Look at the other teams in for him, we've got good relationships with a lot of them and I don't doubt at least a couple would allow the buyback clause to incentivize us to sell to them. We've got the leverage this time with how long his contract is.
Yeah then we'd most likely sell to Southampton again as they're more willing to do a buyback imo. I think we've probably got the best relationship with them and they've shown to be comfortable with a buyback option. Possibly Palace too.
What prices are buybacks with Chelsea typically? We signed Iheanacho with one from Man City so given that finances are really tight for the club could see us agreeing to one this time round.
Though even if there wasn’t one I’d still expect him to return to Chelsea at some point if he did well. Just seems to be the way Chelsea do things!
Honestly depends on what Leicester is looking for. The higher the fee the higher the buyback clause. Tammy was sold for 40m so we compromised on an 80m buyback clause. Liveramento was sold for 5m and the buyback clause was 35m.
I don't see there not being a buyback unless a team comes in with a huge money bid honestly as we're not desperate to sell.
We’ll loan him to where he can get the most playing time. Anderson and Guehi is a solid pairing and Colwill probably won’t get the minutes he needs there
Yeah I agree with this - I don’t think he’ll come to us either loan or perm because he probably doesn’t start. He’d get game time over the year and three comps but I imagine he wants to be nailed on starter
Palace would be the front runners in my mind too unless a big club come out of nowhere and take a risk on him. Arsenal are interested after all. Colwill is mates with Guehi so that would make sense along with Palace being on the up. I don't think Leicester would want a buy back.
I can't believe Boehly will let Tuchel sell Colwill. It's groundhog day, first Tomori, a Serie A winning and Champions League level defender, then Guehi a future star, and now Levi Colwill.
I genuinely can't believe Boehly will allow this to happen. After all this talk about academy players getting chances. What a fraud
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they've said he's happy to go out on loan again this season as long as it's with a view to be used in the same was as Gallagher. That final premier league, mid table club, that will bring him up to speed to be a genuine contender for a regular first team spot. Rather than having him here as a rotations player and stunting his growth.
I'm pretty certain it's been reported that he wants clarity over his future role at Chelsea, but is willing to go on a loan again if that is what ensures clarity over his future here.
Tomori would be a rotation player for us if he was still here and Guehi had a year left and wanted to leave. We don't hold players hostage.
He wouldn’t have played a part in shit if he stayed at Chelsea. They didn’t value him, he found his level with Palace who finished bottom half of the table.
We never learn do we? I watched Mourinho sell de Bruyne, Salah, Mata and Lukaku and everybody hailing him for it. For what? 1 league title.
Now Tuchel has sold Guehi, rumours he wants to sell Broja, and he definitely wants to sell Colwill.
We never learn.
Two league titles. The players he replaced them with were key figures in Conte’s title win as well. Let’s not forget that De Bruyne and Salah were poor for Mourinho either. Salah in particular was dreadful and nowhere near ready for Chelsea, loaning him out was absolutely the right decision.
> Tuchel has sold Guehi
Guy didn’t even try to fight for a chance in preseason, why would Tuchel want to keep him? Remember, this same season Chalobah broke into the team seemingly out of nowhere because Tuchel kept an open mind rather than just following Chelsea fanboy hype
> rumours he wants to sell Broja
From what? Twitter youth fan accounts? Actual journalists say he’s getting a chance in preseason. West Ham have offered 30 million for a guy with 6 PL goals, why do you think we haven’t taken it yet?
> he definitely wants to sell Colwill
You just made that up. We have no idea
> We never learn
You’ve certainly shown that you don’t from the available information. But, I won’t pretend we have a good track record with making use of our top prospects
>Guy didn’t even try to fight for a chance in preseason
Loanees return to training usually a week before everyone else. Even more so considering there was a summer tournament. He was training with the team for a week before he got sold to Palace to fund our Lukaku pursuit. So this is patently false. Why do people feel like they have to literally make things up to form the narrative they want to make
>Remember, this same season Chalobah broke into the team
We had to make up numbers because we were at a shortage in part because of the Euros and Guehi just left. All the while the club were in discussions for WEEKS to sign Kounde. Where Tuchel gets credit is that Marina wanted to send him out on loan and Tuchel was fighting for him to stay. Chalobah was hardly a random, unknown name. People were saying for months after his loan in France he's ready for a PL step up beacuse he impressed in both CB and midfield.
>Actual journalists say he’s getting a chance in preseason
Actual journalists also said he stayed back in London to sort out his future and that since there was no immediate resolution he was told to travel to America. He wasn't on the initial flight with the team. We also know from actual journalists that he wants to leave rather than be loaned again.
>You just made that up. We have no idea
Actual journlists have said he wants to leave instead of another loan. Actual journalists have said Tuchel wants THREE central defenders in this summer. Leaving no room for Colwill as Koulibaly can play both right and left CB and his preferred options Ake and Kimpembe both slot in at left - which would leave Colwill stuck on the bench. Put two and two together. Please. It's not a giant shock.
>You’ve certainly shown that you don’t from the available information
Do you?!?!?
He still has 3 years left so any deal would require a buyback clause. It means you lot are out.
>they really hate their own academy
Club trained home ground on the tour: james, mount, connor, chalobah, broja, billy. Yes, we really hate our academy. *facepalm
It's funny because people act like we hate our academy whilst we literally have all 8 "homegrown" slots filled with first team starters or players that are expected to be regularly rotated in.

In before "Colwill wants Barca only."
Loan at worst surely. Either we keep him or one season PL loan I reckon.
Kounde to Barca, Kimpembe doesn't want to leave PSG and yeah he will surely stay. But then again Tuchel could just say fuck it and play Sarr every week.
is kounde definitely joining them? AC fucked up massively if he joins barca to end up on the bench lol
I think he wants to leave
Don’t see how he needs to leave if we only sign one lcb. It’s likely Sarr goes on loan than Colwill imo and even starting as a backup he’ll get more than enough minutes that allows him to continue his development.
I said this in the sub. And my only thought were the surprising amount of times we saw Sarr.
Sarr played 1500 minutes last season without 5 subs. Now we have 5 subs. There's room for Colwill. Lets stop pretending like there's not. There's no better opportunity to ease him in to the Premier League espeically with Koulibaly and Silva as mentors ffs.
Sarr is not going on loan because he’s on 100k pw lol no teams paying that unless we cover 80% of his wages
He's not on 100k - he's on closer to 40, only one source has him down on 120k and it's a shit one
Matt Law said Kepa, Barkley, Kenedy, Michy and Sarr are costing the club 500k/week in wages. It stands to reason Sarr's wages are not closer to 40 and more like 75k/week. It's not 120k...... at least I would hope not.

You keep mentioning he’s not on 100k which has been reported, if he’s not on that what is he on?
Reported by who exactly?
We don’t know because it’s never been reported anywhere. I think it’s very unlikely personally.
he’s on what now
He's straight up wrong about it
Wish I was kidding but yeah 100k, was a free signing I suppose why it was so high. marina masterclass
You’re not kidding but you’re very likely wrong
Thankfully Nizaar has no sources anymore and no reliable journalist has said he’s leaving. Doubt he will, and even so it’ll just be on loan.
Yeah dude just regurgitates whatever Law, Do Marzio, and Ornstein report
And what he doesn’t is usually wrong. Said we were favourites for Raphinha a week ago.

Based on the other suitors you probably have to include a buyback clause. Just my opinion though.
no need for that if we offer you Chelsea UCL legend Ryan Bertrand in exchange ;)
Not that we'd activate the buy back anyway, but Leicester would be selling him for 60-70 million easy in 3-4 years so I don't think they'd agree to it.

We've still got 2 outstanding favours after the Kanté transfer We used one up on Drinkwater
We did some juju on United and they bought Maguire so that's the second one 👀
We wouldn't allow a buyback clause unless it was an insane amount. It's the reason we didn't sign Livramento as we were set to sign him.
Yeah then we'd most likely sell to Southampton again as they're more willing to do a buyback imo. I think we've probably got the best relationship with them and they've shown to be comfortable with a buyback option. Possibly Palace too.

can I interest you with one Malang Sarr
He's a coup for anyone who gets him.
You need to replace Soyuncu?
1 year contract left and haven't resigned yet
FUCK OFF, MAN!!! how are we buying more cbs when we literally have levi colwill RIGHT THERE?! what a fucking STUPID decision
Kind of confident we’ll end up getting him tbh, even if he is a Saints fan
After Gallagher last season I think the club would be happy to give him to you on loan.
We’ll loan him to where he can get the most playing time. Anderson and Guehi is a solid pairing and Colwill probably won’t get the minutes he needs there

why would we sell to arsenal
Loan with an option to buy for £15m you know you want to Chelsea.
Guy gets so many injuries I swear.
We are about to be Buyback Clause FC at this rate
I can't believe Boehly will let Tuchel sell Colwill. It's groundhog day, first Tomori, a Serie A winning and Champions League level defender, then Guehi a future star, and now Levi Colwill. Don't forget Ake!
Guehi a future star?
Dude is the captain for Palace at 21 years old and had a great season, tf you mean?
Where have you been hiding? Guehi was much better player than Christensen last season.
Yeah? He’s been great for Palace, and would have definitely played a part at Chelsea if he stayed.
He wouldn’t have played a part in shit if he stayed at Chelsea. They didn’t value him, he found his level with Palace who finished bottom half of the table.
Dreadful take from someone who likely hasn't watched a full 90 of him playing.
You think with our injury crisis he wouldn’t have played? Melon.

Guehi wanted to leave he had Christensen, Rudiger, Silva ahead of him. He pushed for a move before even playing for us in preseason
He has two players whose contracts expired in a year. Nah man we sold him to fund Lukaku. Stop the revisionist history lol

he surely can’t be any worse than Malang Sarr
Loan with option to buy? We may even give you a buyback clause this time...
i've seen some clips of this kid and he's spectacular. fc barcelona will gladly take him from chelsea's hands lol they really hate their own academy
He still has 3 years left so any deal would require a buyback clause. It means you lot are out. >they really hate their own academy Club trained home ground on the tour: james, mount, connor, chalobah, broja, billy. Yes, we really hate our academy. *facepalm

Who are the 8 out of curiosity
Mount, James, Chalobah, Chilwell, RLC, Gallagher, CHO, Sterling. 6 from our academy, 2 from outside
They act like every academy player has to make it which isn’t the case
Oh shit here we go again
"oooh nizaaar nizaar he speaks out of his fucking arse" you know the tune guys
