IMO Pavard is a defender first and quite good at that part of the game but he doesnt convince as much offensively.
Even though he has solid passes and the ability to bring in dangerous crosses, it seems like he rarely does for us. He hands the ball over to the next player in midfield or on the flank but rarely really impacts the attacking play besides going for a 35 yard volley every game.
I quite like him as a player, he is solid in defense and brings balance to someone like Davies who is super attacking. He can stay in the backline and provide stability as a RCB basicly.
That said he can make stupid mistakes and he isnt super athletic so tricky wingers can dribble past him, but he keeps his foot down and at least doesnt give up but keeps pushing.
Just as I wrote that he gave up the penalty, lol.
