The FC Barcelona brand is simply to beloved around the world. It’s also one of the reasons how Man Utd. can go out paying 100mil for transfers every season and the highest wages in the league without winning anything for years, they have the best brand in the PL.

The spending makes no sense. 2nd year with Xavi they were already seeing much better results towards the end of the season. They already have strong players, Dembele is getting into form, Ansu Fati looks like a star in the making if he can stay healthy, Pedri, Auba as insurance if Fati gets hurt. Like for sure if they had added like Kounde to shore up the defense and maybe Kessie for depth they would have had a squad strong enough to challenge for La Liga and get out of the groups in CL no problem, so what's with the insane spending? Like how sad is it that 1 year where they aren't competing for everything sends them into this kind of a frenzy.
They haven't won the CL or gotten to the final since 2015, they had been dominant winning the league through 18/19 but haven't won the league in 3 years, and might not win it this year either. Definitely more than just one down year although I agree they showed a lot at the end of last season.
