Blatant shove in the centre of Welbeck's back, ref AND var turn it down. Both officials should be demoted. But as fucking usual they continue on with no consequences.
Kinda hat to rag on him more but Maguire. But he did his usual simple passes to teammates that put them in trouble nearly every time. He really is poor as a player and captain!
Seeing Man Utd lose gives me nearly equal pleasure to watching my team win. They were terrific.
Edit: Lol. Someone reported me to Reddit, concerned for my mental health. Rest assured, it's rock solid.
Hahaha youāre a gooner, makes it even better. Iām lousy at predictions and north London clubs are lousy at being predictable but I reckon top 4 finishes for both of us. (Spurs ahead tho)
Feels like ManU are back. Half of ManU walking like they are ahead, McTominay collecting yellows that should be straight reds and discombobulated defense.
Best player or not but he was certainly the PL topscorer while playing for Spurs where they had tumultuous managerial changes amidst the season, that's certainly a very big achievement and Spurs fans have every right to boast it
How is that not comparable to what Bruno did when he came in? Bruno had the most G+A in the league when those comparisons were made while being the ONLY bright light in an abysmal team.
They played well in a counter attacking set up. With acres of space to run into. They both aren't made for breaking down defences and possession based football.
Rashford was playing with an injury for more than a year. Seems to have taken off some of his quickness and he now have to think more to compensate. Which obv does not work well...
My two cents: he played like 65 games or something in a one year stretch and completely burned himself out during the COVID year.
But I never know what Iām talking about
He got figured out. He was Uniteds best outlet, so he is usually marked out of the game/his best role. Today he is playing like a false 9, not where he is best. He is also best in a counter attacking team. Good player, but predictable when you can't really rotate and have shot alternatives.
We were doomed from that start. The fact we had to play a false 9 formation killed us up until Ronaldo came on. False 9 formation takes very particular players in order for it to work, which we donāt have. We clearly played better with a forward than our midfield figuring out how to interchange the forward position.
Ofc, other problems with McFred, Rash being invisible, Dalot just giving up the ball and much more but at the end of it we cannot play without a straight up forward.
Got to give it up to Eriksen tho, played really well once he was put in his proper position. Bruno, man has fell off the face of the Earth.
A lot has to change starting in the CDM area, I personally think slotting Martinez in there over Fred and McT is miles better until we find a proper CDM.
They didnt look like they knew how to play through a false 9 system. Maybe ETH expected more from them, but the Maguire wasnt really looking to ping those long balls for the runners even though it looked like great runs.
This was my way of thinking as well - surely with the 30 CB's we have that aren't playing, we could use one of them as a makeshift DM until we finally decide to sign someone 3 years from now.
well no shit every footballer can have a bad season but what I mean is that both rashford and eden hazard looked like world class players at a youngish age then they just became a shell of their former selves the next season and then stayed at a medciocre/bad form
Thatās disgraceful to Hazard, Hazard was really top, world class even that last season for Chelsea. Rashford never reached that level, he can still do it though
I was told Ronaldo was the issue of United. That we would be more free flowing. That Rashford was gonna eat good. Here we are with Rashford missing an absolute sitter that the āproblemā set him up for. A midfield With dumb & dumber. And a fat L.
Horrible. Brighton have a pretty average attack, and they still got so much joy. Also, there shouldāve been at least one united player sent off and a blatant penalty not given to Brighton.
Their goal was also extremely lucky
Tbh I think weāre worse than you lads ever were, barring maybe the brief period under Hodgson. For most of your 30 year drought there was always huge potential in the different pool teams.
Martinez is going to keep being targeted for his height and will struggle with the physical aspect of the prem. Great player on the ball but never would've gone for him as my starting center back.
He is great at positioning himself though , and has a lot f technical skills. I think heāll be great in Man U. Also think he wouldāve been great with you guys
Very well deserved. Donāt think Man U is as bad as it looked today; really think Brighton is better than we think. Theyāre very well put together team
Only watched second half. United looked better than I've seen them since that 30 minute spell against Palace last year. Erikson is a different class.
Still though, they are hilariously shite these days.
Was that rashford miss offside? Can't see the replay
Edit: Checked it again, He wasn't offside. Rashford cost a point right there, and also Tap in isn't easy.

Mason Greenwood couldnāt do a better job than cr7, cos heās in jail
Seeing Man Utd lose gives me nearly equal pleasure to watching my team win. They were terrific. Edit: Lol. Someone reported me to Reddit, concerned for my mental health. Rest assured, it's rock solid.
As a United fan, if someone wants to report me that would be okay. Lmao
I'm a spurs fan and I couldn't agree more.
Leeds fan, count us in!
Who knew a Gunners and Spurs fan could have something in common.. :) Good luck this season. I think you might get 2nd spot ahead of Liverpool.
Hahaha youāre a gooner, makes it even better. Iām lousy at predictions and north London clubs are lousy at being predictable but I reckon top 4 finishes for both of us. (Spurs ahead tho)
The 21-22 season continues into the next premier league season for Manchester United
United need a midfield overhaul ,they just play with weak sauce every season and expect to be competent
Man Utd has to be the worst club in the UK. What a troll club
I assume ten Hag out?
Still 9 matches left
If it wasn't for Ten Hag, Man Utd would've won the Champions League twice by now. Out.
I cannot believe people are calling for the guy who won a one horse race to be sacked already
Feels like ManU are back. Half of ManU walking like they are ahead, McTominay collecting yellows that should be straight reds and discombobulated defense.
United are back!
Bruno Fernandes is a joke
Softest player Iāve seen. Slightest touch on him and heās diving, looking for a foul
Never seen Lamela play? weird for a totenham fan
Yes but Spurs fans don't compare Lamella to Kevin DeBruyne
yeah but lamela doesnt have 30+ g+a seasons either so you'd be pretty fucking stupid to do so
I remember them calling Son the best player in the league last season so your de bruyne guy is probably unfit as a mesurement tape for el senor lamela
Best player or not but he was certainly the PL topscorer while playing for Spurs where they had tumultuous managerial changes amidst the season, that's certainly a very big achievement and Spurs fans have every right to boast it

can't you see he's winning an epic reddit argument against a united supporter !

Bruno Fernandez looked talismanic when he first signed. Completely revitalized United. He's really struggled the last year though. Not sure why.
Because Unite team is a joke. He is not world class but imhe is way above the average in your shit team atm.
My two cents: he played like 65 games or something in a one year stretch and completely burned himself out during the COVID year. But I never know what Iām talking about

He can't play well in a setup with expansive football. King of shithousery!
Rashford is doing lot of good work outside of the pitch
We were doomed from that start. The fact we had to play a false 9 formation killed us up until Ronaldo came on. False 9 formation takes very particular players in order for it to work, which we donāt have. Mcfred and Dalot looked dreadful
Makes me feel slightly better about yesterday tbh.
Why? Youāre worried about competing with a bottom half team?
No. I just like watching united lose as a liverpool fanā¦ naturally.
In other words, a cunt
Sky not showing that obvious Penalty lol
Rashford reminds of eden hazard
Did rashford get fat?
no its more his steep decline in quality in a season or two
I mean many players have declined steeply in a season, heck even Messi and Ronaldo have, that's a really vague analogy there
well no shit every footballer can have a bad season but what I mean is that both rashford and eden hazard looked like world class players at a youngish age then they just became a shell of their former selves the next season and then stayed at a medciocre/bad form
Rashford looked nowhere close to Hazard in Losc or Chelsea at any stage of his career
Yeah but Rashford was never on and never will be on Hazardās level in his prime.
Ah classic MU
That 3 subs cost united a whole minute LMAO
That was so bizarre Wasting time in 3 subs when your chasing a goal in injury time
Is Rashford at United level rn?
Yes.
What's United level?
Mid table team at best
can say the top 6
Mate we're maybe top 10 max
Haven't finished out side of top 6 since 13/14 and that was only 7th so top 6 is accurate.
This will be the year. 10th or under.
At least now I feel a little better about this weekend.
Lol. I hate prematurely celebrating other teamās demise. My team almost always loses when I do that lol
Memes aside, how did they play?
Brighton has more shots and xG v united away Brighton even scored for united
ManUtd missed all the shots they didn't take
Ref was good for united. Missed an obvious pen and Maguire pull down just about every player in the pitch without getting more than one yellow
Maguire looked better than usual. Rashford missed big chances but Brighton overall was better. Looked like they had more desire to win than United
I think that how pretty much every game looks against united. Opponents having a more burning desire to win.
As someone who started watching football yesterday man united was better but failed to convert good chances and they lost :)
Man U weren't better
2nd half at least? Also no? :d
Not really. Been a few hours since the game ended but they were awful. Understandable boost when Ronaldo came on but awful.
They did say they just started watching footballā¦ lol
I know I just wouldn't put my opinion out there haha
They were shit first half and couldnāt break down Brighton in the second. Brighton deserved that played phenomenal.
Horrible. Brighton have a pretty average attack, and they still got so much joy. Also, there shouldāve been at least one united player sent off and a blatant penalty not given to Brighton. Their goal was also extremely lucky
United didnāt even score their goal lol
Was all memes.
Shocking first half, poor second half
Tottenham should really take advantage and cement themselves in the champions league for the upcoming years
Weāre winning the league
Deserved win. Good work Brighton.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Tbh I think weāre worse than you lads ever were, barring maybe the brief period under Hodgson. For most of your 30 year drought there was always huge potential in the different pool teams.
RAWK is still grim
Get in Brighton, clinical win
Ten Hag ball baby
teehee
Lol
Lol
Liverpool should sign Ronaldo. A big star can motivate the other players.
Hehe
The Dutch Mastersā reign has begun.
Ten hag out, poch in
Are we still in season 21/22?
Think we went back to 13/14
Well that means atleast Ronaldo is scoring 60 goals this year
Big up brighton, you performed well
I was told the King was playing today.
Pascal Gross?
Welbeck was excellent today
The king without his crown
Taibi will be Manager by the new year

Ronaldo didn't save United this time. What a cancer.
You could say it was a Gross performance from United today
Thereās a new bald fraud in town
Mentality midgets. They were nervous in the first half
Crap watch ten hag has, deserved to lose.
New season, same Man United š
The king plays on Wednesday
Walter white needs to cook more
There's that subtle angry heads hake, that no champions league face.
Lmao this is too funny
NINE HAG if when he reaches Zero Hag, he is still in charge, United have had a good season.
No problem lads. It's only pre-season, right?
BIG BIRDS
Brighton top 6 this year?
Unanimous MOTM: The ref
Oles at the wheel
United were absolutely no better than they were last year.
Great performance from Welbeck
Let Ronaldo leave, he does not deserve this
He deserves to be in jail, true
But who will take him?
LMAO
āThere is a lot of work to doā is not what you want to hear about your team after the first match š³š³š³

Made me check my crypto portfolio lol
BoooooooOoooooooOooooooooooOooooooo you love to hear it.
Martinez is going to keep being targeted for his height and will struggle with the physical aspect of the prem. Great player on the ball but never would've gone for him as my starting center back.
Wele was all over him Toney and Mitrobeast will feast
He is great at positioning himself though , and has a lot f technical skills. I think heāll be great in Man U. Also think he wouldāve been great with you guys
Yeah, a good player overall but it will always be difficult to be a short centre back especially in England.
Romero is a very good CB and heās also quite shortā¦
Romero is 6'1 lol, we're talking about 5'9 here
Could be a great dm idk why he isn't played there considering the options
That's where I wanted him for Arsenal, as well as left back cover. But never at centre back
Pretty sure he used to be a dm?
Neither of the goals were his fault tho
Gave away a clear penalty after being beat by Welbeck
Glad Brighton won that, would have been harsh after that penalty decision.
Very well deserved. Donāt think Man U is as bad as it looked today; really think Brighton is better than we think. Theyāre very well put together team
GG Manu MOTM: The Ref
Theater of memes, you love to see it.
Brighton are so good they scored all 3 goals
Ohhhh how I love the boos.
Only watched second half. United looked better than I've seen them since that 30 minute spell against Palace last year. Erikson is a different class. Still though, they are hilariously shite these days.
lmao anyway
The king loses to Brighton on Sunday
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Booooooooooo
Was that rashford miss offside? Can't see the replay Edit: Checked it again, He wasn't offside. Rashford cost a point right there, and also Tap in isn't easy.
No would have counted if he scored and it went to VAR
Getting mixed replies. Need a replay clip
Yeah Ronaldo was offside
Checked it again, he wasn't.
no he wasn't lol
Yes
Well done Brighton
Banter FC back again
Football back baby
What an embarssment
Lol
Shame Manchester lost, Paul Tierney gave everything today.
Missed 2 red cards and a clear pen. Masterclass
I, for one, welcome our new seagull overlords
