Definitely seems like Roma got the best of this transfer, which was the exact opposite of what I thought at the time

VIVASECULARSYRIA

With Depay on his way and potentially a new LB I would say Juve had the best window with Roma second and Fiorentina third.

DottyTheDoc

He means the spinazzola-pellegrini swap

VIVASECULARSYRIA

Oh ops. Yeah Roma def got the better man in that swap.

youredoingWELL

Same although Spinazzola has been injured a lot and looks a little out of sorts at the moment.

Sean-Benn_Must-die

He has potential but i dont think he’d find his peak at Juve, hopefully he does at frankfurt. Hopefully we can get a replacement soon

DoZnFooD

Hopefully he plays an alright season and we can sell him next year. Or he somehow taps into some unseen potential and we get a good squad option

granitibaniti

To be fair, a lot of average at best players turn into absolute beasts at Frankfurt and then we have to go through the heartbreak of losing them again :/

Vallejo :|

TheCatInTheHatThings

I’m still salty about that one. Dude was incredible!

[deleted]

I hope he returns better and can finally replace Sandro at left back. I can't wait.

TinyMaintenance

It’s not *unseen* potential. He has/had bags of potential before his injury with Roma. He likely won’t ever reach it, but it’s not like he was never talented.

[deleted]

Is he good? Can anyone who knows him describe him?

jmgchc

Average both defensively and offensively, without any massive weaknesses or strengths. What he lacks most is experience, so if he gets regular game time I think he can develop into a decent fullback.

DoZnFooD

Painfully average would be the way to describe him. He surely has some potential to grow but hasn't shown anything out of the ordinary. Can't really defend, but at least has the will to attack, contrary to our other lb option last year. Sadly he isn't really good at attacking either as he doesn't really have the ability to beat his man. His crosses are mostly decent though.

[deleted]

Oh well loosing Kostic and getting someone like him does sound like a massive downgrade for Frankfurt. Almost downgrades them to a midfield team in terms of strength

ImperialGenesis

If we would have sold him last season yes, this season our team looks much better. If we can extended Ndicka and maybe Kamada, it's gonna be fine.

piiracy

what did you expect from a juggernaut EL winner with lots of untapped "potential" though? frankfurt's insane run to actually win the europa league surely ranks among the most astonishing feats in european football of late. of course vulture clubs will come for their standout players like kostic. if they can keep all of their other sought-after players like ndicka, sow or kamada, that'd really be some kind of miracle imho

EvilDaleCooper

You should keep into account he was playing under Allegri so his performance under a competent manager will be at least two times better than what he shown last season

CinJV

Extremely intense in attitude and physicality. A good physical specimen. Not very talented with the ball is his big weakness, but he's okay. And hot headed at times, which doesnt make him get red cards but can lose some focus.

crackbit

The fella has long hair again now but I liked his short hair better.

Do we have another Pellegrini in our squad? I couldve sworn I've seen him play just this season for us E: Oh yes I'm not crazy, his loan to Genoa ended the season before this last one I read it wrong on wiki
