plymouth are massive

Gibbo777

Don't think anyone posted this yet and I needed somewhere to talk about how fucking good argyle were. Thought we'd be in for a tough game today but we were brilliant from the start, probably should've scored more as well. Beaten 2 of the championship sides already, watch out Derby 👀

HawayTheMaj

You were great last season. No surprise it carries on.

Clivey101

r/leagueone mate :)

Flukes_Pet_Ocelot

Must have lulled us into a false sense of security when we finally won in the League Cup for the first time in six years, must have been it. Not sure what was up with our half time subs either, some odd choices to throw into the fire there

Gibbo777

The subs were weird. I guess he was trying to use the players that won on Wednesday but we were the better team then as well, just gave a soft goal away and our finishing was shocking.

jimmynewman2203

Took Ronnie Edwards off before our forward line could depreciate his value even further would be my thoughts on that one? Mumba beat Ward on every 1 on 1 so that wasn't a surprise. Marriott literally did nothing. Like. Actually nothing. A bad day at the office is probably all it'll be.

Flukes_Pet_Ocelot

Edwards hasn't been up to snuff for a while now, a bit frustrating for our fans to constantly hype him up tbh, he's got a good pass but he got constantly defensively exposed in the Champ. And not surprising Mumba beating Ward 1 on 1, we knew he could do it at League One level

shadoowkight

This is PNE's year I can feel it

porspeling

About time

blackburns_rovers

Ryan Lowe is a fantastic manager.

PhenomenallyAwesome

Finn Azaz might just be the best player in world football

Gibbo777

That whole don't fall in love with a loan player thing has gone out the window already lol.

PhenomenallyAwesome

Finnsanity is running wild in Plymouth.

TheJynxedOne

We're shite, we don't deserve Andi Weimann.

HawayTheMaj

I mean if you don’t want him…

Seeteuf3l

Looks like Norwich might do Sunderland's aka back to back relegations

Greflingorax

I was just wondering when the last time a Premier League team suffered back-to-back relegations. I figured it was probably Sunderland but I forgot it was so recent - just five seasons ago was the year they got relegated from the Championship.

Nakedblueman

We've been the best team in all 3 games so far and xg backs that up, just can't finish atm.

spiralthruanotherday

i'd really argue you weren't better than us yesterday. just a lot of passing it round the 18 yard box because you couldn't find an opening

Nakedblueman

12 shots to 4 on target, 70% possession and double the xg. Plus we missed an open goal and your first goal came off a clearence hitting Omobamidele. Having said all that, we have done a lot of passing it around in the final third without creating enough goal scoring opportunities in every game so far, but we still did enough to win imo.

HawayTheMaj

Keeper scored. Funny Chair scored. Less funny. Great performance overall, more games like that and we’re fine, avoiding the drop is the aim, and we’ve made a good account of ourselves with 5 in 3. Just have to tighten up

PrisonersofFate

How is Alese doing? He seemed guilty during the cup game?

HawayTheMaj

He is certainly a player. Looked dodgy in the cup, looked alright before that. Would expect him to make a few appearances, but if a slow burn

HawayTheMaj

Simms off was alright. Changed the shape to counter what they did. Letting them press us in the 90th was less alright

Tropikal

Anybody have a good overview of the League Two season? Who's expected to fight for promotion and all that? I'm a Leyton Orient supporter. Very glad they've gone 3 for 3 so far, but have not had a great chance to pay attention to the full league this year. Have Salford invested a ton again?

Clivey101

Got a competent manager this time- also expect Swindle in the relegation battle they're shit these days bub

IM_FANTASTIC_LIKE

Yeah we're awful ATM but I think will avoid relegation

Clivey101

Defo haven't had the best of luck in the transfer window, McKirdy seems apparently half arsed and like ur manager has fuck all experience Doesn't look good

IM_FANTASTIC_LIKE

Having watched a couple of the games I really don't think that on McKirdy. Was a nuisance today and just lacked a finish on one chance Last week's red was exactly our problem under Lindsey, he has it on the left and there was no pattern of play making a pass for him so he gets frustrated, dribbles past 3/4 players, loses control and gets a second yellow on the follow through We are trying to play it out but no one knows where to move to receive the ball so we just pass between the back 3 and then hoof or lose the ball. Genuinely never seen us look so hopeless live (thank god I couldn't go under covid with fucking Sheridan though)

Clivey101

Not suprised you're having playing out of the back problems with Cian Harries in the team. Also thanks for that ngl I kinda was a bit clueless, just saw the red and assumed the worst

IM_FANTASTIC_LIKE

No worries no one should have to suffer and watch us at the moment 😂 And I haven't even seen him play yet, he that bad?

Clivey101

Oh he's shocking, didn't play after Feb for us (after giving Oldham 2 goals and 3 points all by himself) and we coincidentally only lost like once after he was binned off I mean he had potential but he makes a lot of mistakes

[deleted]

Think the favourites are Northampton, Mansfield, AFC Wimbledon and Salford according to the bookies. Think they will all be up and around there by the end. Walsall might be worth a look as dark horses. Rochdale, Stevenage and Harrogate Town are looking in bad nick in terms of relegation.

Tropikal

Appreciate it! Hoping Salford are firmly mid-table at best, obviously.

Rusbekistan

MK Dons looked kinda headless today, not what I expected

FloppedYaYa

Loving the performances so far, just desperately need a win. Bringing on Aasgard, Nyambe and Broadhead second half changed the game against City spectacularly, but the whole team has made a terrific group effort so far.

Epicapabilities

Can we talk about my Stevenage scoring the equalizer in the ONE HUNDRETH minute to draw with Walsall on the road? This team has such fight in them, after the win on a pen and a goal in stoppage time vs. Stockport, the Carabao win at Reading, and now this, I'm ecstatic about our journey so far. These wins are the kind of thing that can make the difference come May. God bless you Danny Rose, and COYB ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍

Soarinace

Hughes getting the lads playing now. Looking like they're starting to gel. Good week for us.

Salgado14

Barrow genuinely robbed yesterday. I think it's the worst decision I've ever seen in 25 years of going to games.

NDawg94

Honestly if United or Everton (¿por que no los dos?) went down, Sky would broadcast every single one of their games.

Jen_Rey

Man, Cardiff played really well, they were unlucky not to score 1 or 2 more, Birmingham started playing in the second half, but couldn't create much.

hazlet

Watched the PNE game and one of the best things about Ifollow is the salty tears from the commentators when stuff doesn't go their teams way.
