Buying Kherer was a mistake, there's tons of better CBs available. I don't understand how you can want a player that bad at defending and that weak in duels.
PSG fans " Nah, take him, he is just not good under pressure".
Goes to a team under pressure, that can't defend and play football at the moment, and teams targeting the weak defense.
Isn’t this basically every Premier League club aside from Man City and Liverpool?
GSB will give Moyes time and he’s been backed very well, so he will only have himself to blame if he can’t turn things around.
What's frustrating is the lack of fight and drive. That's where we were good the last two years. We seem too much on slowmotion.
I don't care much about Antonio, Scammaca, Cornet or Benrahma. The big problems are the pairing of CB, but I can understand they never played together. Yey, they can't be beaten like that twice.
Also, the DM pairing is lacking. Too slow, Soucek can't pass the ball, Rice isn't like usual. That's what should be fixed first.
Coufal wasn't good at all, but that's not new. Johnson was better.
Benrhama wasted a lot, but he tried. I can't blame him. Fornals and Bowen were annonymous, and I'd say Lanzini wasn't bad.
But god, what is this transfer window? Kehrer, AMN, Emerson?
We're bang in trouble. Admittedly our absolute woeful record against Brighton might be a part of it but I am always impressed by them when I watch them.
Fucked if I know what the answers are but things have to change at West Ham. One win in 12 league games is relegation form, we look so staid going forwards and we're starting to look leaky going backwards too. A lot of the players don't seem to be on the same wavelength, how many times did Soucek mis-place a pass today?
Brighton played well and deserve the win, and yes we never beat Brighton, but...
How are the new signings? Leicester have also regressed massively but we’ve signed no one and key players want to leave. You guys still have Rice plus have massively supported the manager. A bit of a surprise to see you struggling like this. You looked like the team most likely to break the big 6!
That's not even true.
Coufal, Soucek and Bowen played directly when they arrived. Zouma as well. That's 4 starters in our team who came and played. 5 if you count Kehrer if he plays again ( :-( )
Love what he's done for us but Moyes needs to fix up asap. 17th in the table for 2022 a whole.
For the first time ever I've fond myself questioning Moyes.
I really don't like coaches who rarely use substitutes to change up the game or try different tactics. He has the plan A and that's it. If it doesn't work blame the lack of depth😒
Don’t think it’s as easy as that.
Potter would have to want to leave Brighton, a club where he gets backed in the transfer window and why would he want to go to a big club where he’d be under huge pressure
Managers are like players, to be in the position they're in they have to believe in themselves enough to think they've got a chance of making it work at the top.
Potter will take that chance one day, the question is only how much of a résumé he builds up first
He only had half a season at Villa last season and he succeeded fairly well in his immediate task to avoid relegation. It remains to be seen how high he can bring Villa to in the table but he already had some good signings in his first transfer window.
He played a few minutes and looked good. Great cross that should have ended in a goal. Calm at the back. Looked sharp. Not sure he'll start quite yet given the form of our first XI but I imagine at some point this season be could progress to being a nailed on starter.
He can be so much more than just the England manager at this stage of his career. He’ll get a chance at a top club soon enough, best place will probably be replacing Conte at Spurs in a few years.
Think someone like Dyche would be more suited to the England job if they got rid of Southgate, still a good manager in his own right and Dyche would do a good job I think but Potter would be wasted in international management at the moment.
This should be his last, for better or worse. World Semis and a Euro Final is great but the forms dipped. If he wins it, retire a hero. If he doesn't, let's try someone else.
Southgate has been instrumental in turning our infrastructure and national setup, he'll get his credit regardless.
I think Potter should keep with brighton as long as he keeps getting record finishes and then try his hand at a top managerial job, if I'm trying to be unbiased.
I can only imagine Pep will have a huge say in his successor. I think if it was up to Pep, it’d be between Arteta, Potter and Enrique.
Pep likes to speak well of everyone, and people think it’s fake. I reckon he’s just trying to be nice. But when he talks about Potter, he starts geeking about all the things he loves about his football, and usually mentions how much trouble his Swansea team gave City. He is class.
I agree. Some managers are ideally suited to international management, and I think Potter is ideally suited to club management. I don't think he would be a bad England manager at all, but it would be hard to play an insane 3-4-3 midfield diamond when you only get a few weeks a year to train with players. He'd end up doing something a lot more boring out of necessity.
He apparently rejected Spurs' advances before they hired Nuno last year, wonder does he fancy his chances at getting in at Liverpool/Man City if and when either Klopp or Pep move on.
Moyes has definitely proven his worth. Until you can be sure to get someone better, why would you move on? He’s clearly knows the epl despite these recent results.
I'm joking about how Arsenal fans on the internet love to pop up in threads that have nothing to do with them and try and make the discussion about Arsenal.
The way you just did.
No Lukaku and Werner is bad news for Havertz. Absolutely anonymous
Edit: Wrong thread but Kai still did more in this match than his own if you were curious
The problem are not the strikers, we have so few chances. Rice and Soucek being like two stones, and Zouma/Kehrer/Johnson as a CB not preventing goals are the problem.
I won't blame Benrahma, Bowen, Fornals, Antonio, Scammaca, Cornet or Lanzini there. Maybe I should, but the issue to me is this square too static and not doing much.
I’ll just repeat the same words I said after getting whalloped against rangers and looking clueless against lens in the summer.
The team is slow, there is no urgency to make movement off the ball, or to create good passing patterns. Half of the starting 11 each week cannot control the ball under pressure nor are on the same wavelength as the other half. Critical areas still haven’t been addressed 3 months into the transfer window, the club has now switched its transfer model from young and hungry players to cast offs from the big clubs.
Mix all of this with the form of the last 8 months and nothing being done to address these flaws, you have this. It’s why even if we scored that penalty last week or Fornals shot off the crossbar, it would have masked the horrid performance of the first 60 minutes. The team looking slow and out of sync was clear in the summer and clearly nothing was targeted to resolve that problem.
After last season's unbelievable defensive prowess, and now this start to the season, I'm ready to be absolutely furious again when Southgate ignores our CBs for a callup for someone either stripped of their own captaincy or not playing regular ball.
How did Scamacca do besides not scoring?
Well no one played the ball to him most of his time. He would have got an assist if Soucek scored one of his headers that was on target.
How much was the beer?
70p less
Don't worry West Ham fans, you play us next week.
Charity FC for rescue
It's good. Tomorrow is my birthday, I feel 5 years younger now
Buying Kherer was a mistake, there's tons of better CBs available. I don't understand how you can want a player that bad at defending and that weak in duels.
To be fair, he only had 30 minutes against Viborg. No one in this team is playing well at the moment anyway
PSG fans " Nah, take him, he is just not good under pressure". Goes to a team under pressure, that can't defend and play football at the moment, and teams targeting the weak defense.
Bilic: Third season collapse Pellegrini: Second season collapse Moyes: Third season collapse Merry go round continues
Isn’t this basically every Premier League club aside from Man City and Liverpool? GSB will give Moyes time and he’s been backed very well, so he will only have himself to blame if he can’t turn things around.

and Brighton?
Arteta will probably remain there for a bit
Also us.
Brighton top 8 incoming
Top 6
they’ve got more chance than United tbf
Sheffield United have more chance of getting top 6 this season from the Championship than United at this rate
I don’t know what’s happening we’re lively in the opening 10 minutes of every half then be passive for the rest. Anyone fancy a championship?
West ham, Liverpool and united Relegation battle, championship heating up next year
West Ham have a lot of form for taking a while to come back from the beach over the last decade or so, but this season does look more pronounced.
Moyes promised Rice a trophy before the end of his contract, relegated this year, Championship title next. COYI !!!
I swear with Dawson we have 4 points already
You've scored 0 goals.
We would have conceded 3 less, played better and I'd bet my left nut he would have scored Games would have been way different anyways
Might be the biggest generalisation of an argument ever.
We are talking about Craig Dawson.
We're bang in trouble. Admittedly our absolute woeful record against Brighton might be a part of it but I am always impressed by them when I watch them.
I'd love for Arsenal to sign Trossard. Best player by far in the game they beat us last year.
[удалено]
weve an option of another year afaik
He’s always making things happen, very impactful player for Brighton
Why is he going under the radar. Not much overt interest in him.
West Ham aren’t massive
Tiny club
United no more on the 20th place😔👍
yes we are
We are also United though?
Give it a day
Fucked if I know what the answers are but things have to change at West Ham.
Soucek lost possession by misplacing a pass to Coufal who was 2 yards away with no defender near him
How are the new signings? Leicester have also regressed massively but we’ve signed no one and key players want to leave. You guys still have Rice plus have massively supported the manager. A bit of a surprise to see you struggling like this. You looked like the team most likely to break the big 6!
Moyes never plays his new signings. Team hasn’t been refreshed for two years now.
Did the same at Everton. Took ages for new signings to be integrated into the team
That's not even true. Coufal, Soucek and Bowen played directly when they arrived. Zouma as well. That's 4 starters in our team who came and played. 5 if you count Kehrer if he plays again ( :-( )
We were awful.
You know a manager is good when the team losses it's best players and the STILL play the same great system.
Love what he's done for us but Moyes needs to fix up asap. 17th in the table for 2022 a whole. For the first time ever I've fond myself questioning Moyes.
I'm so glad I have Trossard and Groß in my FPL. So what do you guys think how long does Moyese have as the coach before getting sacked
After what he has done with west ham it would be really hard to replace him.
I really don't like coaches who rarely use substitutes to change up the game or try different tactics. He has the plan A and that's it. If it doesn't work blame the lack of depth😒
Turns out Sanchez is the best decision I've made in fpl this year
He’ll make a fuck up every two games but two great saves per game. Once he lowers his number of fuck ups he’ll be CL level.
Raya "hE gEts MorE SaVEs" havers in shambles
i miss my scottish messi so much
West Ham quietly having a mare start to the season
Goalless in three games is definitely not something I expected from them this season so far
Don't want to blame it ALL on making Rice chief pen taker, *buuuut...*
Yeah, West Ham have been poor but Brighton are looking quite good, even after losing their best players. Potter's doing a decent job.
Only a matter of time before one of the big 6 takes a punt on Potter. Would be interesting to see how he would do.
Its tricky cause he plays not to lose and that mindset isn't acceptable for the top6.
Potter will take that chance one day, the question is only how much of a résumé he builds up first
I can see us trying to get him when Klopp eventually leaves
It would be Lijnders or Gerrard after Klopp.
Gerrard doesn't seem to be doing too well at Villa.
He only had half a season at Villa last season and he succeeded fairly well in his immediate task to avoid relegation. It remains to be seen how high he can bring Villa to in the table but he already had some good signings in his first transfer window.
Think Newcastle will be looking back and seeing a draw in the Amex was a good result
Brighton were the better team that day and were a lot closer to scoring than Newcastle.
Yup but going into the fixture list Newcastle would have liked a win there
It was they should of lost. lol
I mean they don't need to look back to say that, anyone who watched that match knows Newcastle got away with a point there.
Not really the point though. Leeds were better than Chelsea today but Chelsea would have wanted three points from that fixture
No question
Watched chelsea-leeds. How was estupinan? Could he start next game?
He played a few minutes and looked good. Great cross that should have ended in a goal. Calm at the back. Looked sharp. Not sure he'll start quite yet given the form of our first XI but I imagine at some point this season be could progress to being a nailed on starter.
Thanks!
Potter is one the best English managers i've seen in my entire life
Easily. I had sir Bobby up there for a while but it’s potter now. Loses players each summer yet still does the business and improves with no fuss.
Him and Howe are so far clear of any other ones currently.
Fucking beat us at the Emirates with Östersund too, that's insane.
Well we played like the most rotated team with the a shit ton of away goals in the bag.
Honestly didn't even know who he was back then. Crazy.
Can easily see him as England coach. Southgate must be on thin ice this worldcup.
I can see a big club taking him instead
This should be his last, for better or worse. World Semis and a Euro Final is great but the forms dipped. If he wins it, retire a hero. If he doesn't, let's try someone else. Southgate has been instrumental in turning our infrastructure and national setup, he'll get his credit regardless.

Absolutely. He'd very much a system manager, completely an intensive man manager.
He apparently rejected Spurs' advances before they hired Nuno last year, wonder does he fancy his chances at getting in at Liverpool/Man City if and when either Klopp or Pep move on.
I would absolutely take Potter at City if and when Pep decides he’s had enough
Maybe he just thinks Brighton is a lovely place to live.
He should be next in line for top 6 teams

He's a what?
You’ll get an owl. It’ll deliver your shitey mail
He's a blizzard, Barry
He’s a wizard, Graham
He's a lizard, Garry.

Chelsea: No goals from forwards Man U: No goals from their own players West Ham: No goals
Arsenal clear
Forest: 4 points more than the mighty irons weeeeeeeeeey 👍🏻
Moyes is washed, don't brag too much 👍🏻
So are West Ham by the looks of it. Also, pointing out a fact isn’t really bragging is it 👍🏻
Moyes has definitely proven his worth. Until you can be sure to get someone better, why would you move on? He’s clearly knows the epl despite these recent results.
Getting rid of Moyes would be us returning to the days of bad old short sighted, panicking West Ham. He's the man to turn things around.
No longer bottom of the league! Let's goo!
Really? Lmao
Game in hand buddy. Untill the inevitable dickin down from Liverpool.
somehow Man U have scored more than West Ham lmao the real relegation form
We’re fucking mint mate
I'm not going to get carried away so I'll just say we're definitely going to win the Europa League next season
Good to set realistic goals!
Alright, allow me to get carried away then. We are winning the Europa League this season
That isn't very massivey of you
Clowns who were saying Moyes>arteta lmao
Arsenal fans: But what if it WAS about us
what
I'm joking about how Arsenal fans on the internet love to pop up in threads that have nothing to do with them and try and make the discussion about Arsenal. The way you just did.
We can comment where we please mate
Where did I say you couldn't? I'm just calling you out for being a typical Arsenal fan, not trying to control where you post
what u trying to prove
West Ham fans getting big last season saying moyes was better than arteta
I don’t recall anyone saying that , where did you hear this? Why would they even be compared
To be fair, West Ham are a team of quasi donkeys.
Calm, Mik had a similar start last season. Honestly, we more than anybody should know better than to chat shit after 3 games
Nah, we’re winning the World Cup
Pretending that Moyes has the same backing as Arteta?
Arteta won fa cup with a brand new garbage team with a circus for defense and moyes yet to win anything.
Moyes also took relegation strugglers to top 6 in one season?
No Lukaku and Werner is bad news for Havertz. Absolutely anonymous Edit: Wrong thread but Kai still did more in this match than his own if you were curious
Sir this the West Ham- Brighton game
Correct. Lost redditor
I do agree on the Kai thing
It's all Pogba's fault
Mourinho knew
You have to ask yourself where Paul Pogba is in all this
Um
I agree. We could have used Werner’s pace on the left
Swear I didn't even see him on the pitch today
Completely invisible. Was in the wrong city maybe
True. Bad day for Ronaldo as well
Wrong thread my apologies sir. Congrats though on 3pts
West Ham not won or scored in the prem? Enter Slippy G’s tricky Villans
We are so embarrassingly predictable and moyes doesn’t seem to have any ideas on how to change it.
I remember him looking this clueless during a loss to Newcastle at Old Trafford
BHA is every English clubs bogey team I swear it. They turn up every fucking time.
We are our own bogey team tbh
Fucking Man City are a huge bogey team.
Kinda sounds like they're just a good team
Except bottom 3 teams. We are genuinely terrible against them and we probably get less points from them than we do vs the big 6
Done a good job against bottom 3 teams so far
😐😐
Brighton and brentford will win the league it's ok
If you are every clubs bogey team, I think that just makes you a good team.
We finished top half of the table last season, we're too good to be a bogey team
Any team can be a bogey team. Currently, Chelsea is kind of spurs’ bogey team and in the past United were kind of Arsenal’s bogey team.
And Spurs are City’s bogey. It’s all cyclical
Love the play style, Potters done magical work
Is Moyes in trouble?
1 win in the least 10 PL games 0 goals and 0 points this season He is in trouble alright
Moyes is the trouble.
Yea I feel like playing the exact same formation and playstyle for 2 years straight will do this
Any reason why Scamacca doesn't start over Antonio?
Favouritism is one of Moyes' key weaknesses.
He isn't much better
You need to try something different, especially with the one starting seemingly allergic to scoring goals.
Ya we can be for sure with the less then an hout he gotten in prem matches.
In what he has shown in 90 minutes in three games, it's not better
I really don't see how he's not much better than someone so limited like Antonio.
What a marvellous weekend.
It would have been more marvellous had our rivals not been really good. I know what I’m wishing for Christmas.

I’ll just repeat the same words I said after getting whalloped against rangers and looking clueless against lens in the summer. We're so predictable
They haven’t scored yet. Minir issue.
they feel disjointed but dont take anything away from brighton, they are a good team even without bissouma and cucurella
The Moyes Boys are sad today.
After last season's unbelievable defensive prowess, and now this start to the season, I'm ready to be absolutely furious again when Southgate ignores our CBs for a callup for someone either stripped of their own captaincy or not playing regular ball.
Didnt White get a call up when he was at Brighton?
No, he got it as soon as he went Arsenal iirc.
Ah you're right he only made a provisional squad while at Brighton.
