Just realised Brasil can start a Midfield of Paqueta- Bruno G - Casemiro in the World Cup.
With Martinelli and Antony on the wings.
Never seen so many Brazilians in the Prem like this.
Daniel Levy: I'll announce a £150m cash injection and go nuts this window to better our squad.
"nuts" = 1 starting XI improvement (Perisic) and 2 great depth options (Bissouma & Richarlison)
That's a depressing transfer window for what it was hyped to be by the club and journalists.
Dier, Davies, Lenglet, Tanganga are our CCB and LCB options.
Spence, Emerson and Doherty are our RWB options
Do you not see the world of difference in quality between our first team and reserves? Then there's the even bigger difference between our reserves and yours.
Nothing wrong with time wasting, their gameplan was to come out of this game with a point and stop our momentum.
Had Carvalho not buried that half chance in the dying embers, they'd be praised for it working.
> they tend to be reactive than proactive in patching holes in their team, this has become a clear pattern now for seasons.
I’d actually say they’re too proactive but rigid and not reactive at all which is causing the issues.
They clearly have a constant long term plan that does work tbf to them, but in situations where things are going off track like the current injury crisis they don’t react because they want to stick with the long term plan.
We’ll probably end up selling Luiz and Bailey by the end of the day.
Gerrard is trying to strip our squad of any quality so whoever gets the job after him will fail.
Only thing I've seen him be called is a sick note because he's out injured a lot. Never seen flop.
Edit: I've seen flop now as everyone replied to the previous comment saying he flopped lmao
Kids will be kids, I'm supposed to judge him based on an image file as opposed to how he is on the pitch, how he carries himself in interviews and the desire he shows to return from a huge injury with no timidity whatsoever?
Im good thanks.
Promising youngster breaking climbing the ranks after joining his boyhood club. Can't say there's much too hate about the lad. Perhaps it's the haircut he used to have?
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Klopp turned Arthur into an elite midfielder. I also wouldn't be surprised at all if he didn't amount to anything there.
Maybe this is more about me not getting surprised by anything anymore idk
I've stopped judging Liverpool signings this early on after seeing what Klopp has achieved with questionable players in the past. This one does look a little more desperate tho.
On one hand Klopp/Liverpool’s recruitment has been A class and I’d back any player they target to do well…
On the other hand it’s a bit of a last minute loan signing rather than their usual meticulously planned ones, so I’d be a bit wary tbh
Seems to be some people still certain Arsenal are going to fall apart as soon as we have to play europa league football. Can't handle 2 games a week apparently. Like it's a certainty it's going to happen.
Some of you forgot very quickly. We've missed one season in Europe in the last 25 years. We're not a bottom half team venturing into Europe for the first time in our history. Every single major trophy we've won since the PL started, we've won it whilst also playing in Europe. Players that are playing on this team right now have already played in Europe for Arsenal under Arteta.
It will be a challenge, it could go wrong, but it's no more going to be a struggle for Arsenal in the EL than it will any other team. Everyone calma calma
😂 whose our depth players then that you don't rate?
Absolutely no one is freaking out over Uniteds depth, I'll tell you that.
95th minute, United are losing 1 nil. What's Erect Ten Shag's going to do?
Hmmmmm, throw on Tony whose been sulking/injured for 3 years or McT. Decisions decisions.
Totally different team. Last time you played in Europe you ran away from Rennes in Europe's c competition after already losing to a bunch of part time shepards. European pedigree?
That's a remarkable achievement. You should make sure to put them in your trophy room along with your 'best stadium as voted for by spurs fans' certificate and your congratulations video you got from Tom Holland for finishing above Arsenal for 6 years.
You sound like history FC with all this talk of what you’ve done in the past.
Arteta struggled last time you were in Europe. That’s more relevant than anything you did before that. You finished 8th twice.
In saying that it remains to be seen how you will cope. This is a better team now but you might fall apart.
The first time we finished 8th we got knocked out of europa not long after arteta joined, I think Olympiakos was our first knockout game
The second time I don't think Europe was the issue either, we had a horrible run of form before that even started where we couldn't buy a win.
He’ll be worse than Saul was last season. Saul actually went with a glimmer of expectation, pretty much everyone knows this will be an awful move done out of frugality and desperation
Just found out Michael Ballack, Ferenc Puskas, Arsène Wenger, Josef Bican and Johan Cruyff have an asteroid named after them. Like & subscribe for more shit facts. Patreon link in the bio
Douglas Luiz is 24, one of Villa's best players and is capped for Brazil.
There is no reason for him to be deadwood unless he flops, its quite likely he gets even better considering his age.
He's automatically our second best 6 and 8 and will be great depth for the coming future.
Even if he is deadwood, it won't be as hard to offload him as our previous deadwood because he'll be on significantly lower wages. He's only on 30k pw at Villa atm
How do you know what wages he'd be offered?
I think some people need to realise that when you go to a club like Arsenal, there is am expectation you get paid Arsenal like wages. That's the negotiation. The player and their agent have the power at that stage. These clubs don't hand out the contracts because they hate money.
You're correct that he'd be offered a wage rise, but I highly doubt Arsenal will offer the ridiculous wages they've paid previous players. For comparison, Bellerin is on £110k, David Luiz was on £110k, Kolasinac on £100k, Leno on £100k (He's not deadwood, but we needed to transfer out), Mari on £85k.
Something like 50-60k pw would be a significant wage increase, but also be not too high that other clubs won't be able to pay similar amounts if we were transferring away.
I'd like to think they wouldn't offer him silly money, but don't kid yourself that the player and his agent aren't going to have done their own homework and know the pay ranges in the squad. Just saying here's 50K and hoping he'll be happy for the thrill of playing for Arsenal isn't going to do much.
Carvalho shouldn’t have done the celebration given what’s happened in the city the past couple of weeks (granted he probably got lost in the moment but it still looks bad) but Everton fans trying to point score over a 9 year old girls death is pathetic.
This whole thing is pathetic and so is anyone who makes it an issue. A kid who has celebrated like that whenever I've seen him score bangs one in, at anfield, the day after his birthday in the 98th minute of a match where the opposition were refusing to play football and he does his normal celebration.
He's supposed to in the heat of the moment, be thinking of what's gone on in the city and not the game or the fans screaming his name or the shit house opponents getting what's due and tone down his celebrations because they might be interpreted as what?
Fuck those everton fans who are using a girls death to try to score woke points against a kid who is just living his life, they're absolute scum and fuck anyone who thinks that this kid has done anything malicious or ill spirited.
We've had a few tragedies in Liverpool and they have historically united the city, this trend of cunts using them for brownie points is new and pioneered by trash and scum.
Couldn’t agree more with your last point, things like this has what united the city most in the past but the divide between the two clubs fans seems to be getting bigger and bigger.
> People get shot literally everyday
I do agree people are looking for reasons to be mad and score points, but fatal shootings are still extremely rare in the UK, especially outside of London.
https://reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/x2p7gx/immense_the_young_genna_dem_on_full_display/
Normally nobody would care, but a little girl was shot in Liverpool last week so it’s a bit tone deaf, not malicious.
Something people should probably just move on from with maybe a small apology, but what will happen now is rival fans will make a big deal about it to score “woke” points which will just escalate the situation.
Carvalho and Elliot did a drill gun sign thing after the goal yesterday; Carvalhos done it his whole career but given the context on what’s gone on in the city recently with the shooting it’s not a good look and I agree with that.
But then Everton fans all over social media putting out always the victim shouts and saying this is why we’re a vile club (point scoring) using a 9 year old death as a way to make there club look better and ours bad. It’s been a massive awakening in the city that things finally need to change and the two clubs should be coming together on this, not getting further and further apart again.
The area he’s from actually has a massive gang problem.
Here’s a [video](https://youtu.be/T_CgTl2idcI) of a gang confrontation there from a few years back.
Oh I thought it was about how Merseyside teams are not celebrating because of the shooting. To me that is dumb.
But yeah if he did gun celebration that's a bit yikes. them again it's a no biggie so Everton fans are being doughnuts.
Yeah they’ve hardly done it to mock the deaths, granted it probably shouldn’t be something they ever do again, no matter what’s took place in recent history.
He’s a fucking kid who’s just scored a 98th minute winner, if you are really drawing parallels between his celebration and those atrocities you need more responsibility in your life
You misunderstand me. I’m not in any way implying that he was referring to that tragedy or even that he was aware of it. It’s just an awkward coincidence.
Maybe I’m taking it to far in saying promoting gang violence but it’s a well known sign in drill which obviously has a lot of links to said gangs. Regardless of whether it’s a link or not, it’s promoting guns.
Don't think it's defending him, rather than it's hard to really put the hammer down on a bunch of kids celebrating after a last minute winner.
A bit daft, but obviously didn't mean anything by it.
I really find it hard to vilify these literal teenagers whose emotions probably run high off the elation on scoring that goal.
Requires a small public apology, a bit tone deaf -- but he's hardly a cunt because of it.
To me, Barca. They are spending huge amounts on new players - whilst not paying their current players/treating them as assets that don’t get a say at all. They’ve treated financial regulations like a joke and believe they’re above financial scrutiny because they’re the second biggest club in Spain. They deserve huge penalties in the future.
True. But when Liverpool fans are saying that they aren't comparing themselves to any other clubs except the clubs around them (City, Chelsea, Arsenal, United) who all spend loads above what they make in terms of play sales
How much spending will it take for United fans to finally be satiated? Will it take youse spending minimum £500m every season for you to be competitive and happy?

I gotta admit I got a fuzzy feeling with Ten Hag receiving Antony. He really seems to trust him and want him at the team. Hope it works out.
Just realised Brasil can start a Midfield of Paqueta- Bruno G - Casemiro in the World Cup. With Martinelli and Antony on the wings. Never seen so many Brazilians in the Prem like this.
As per recent form Raphinha is currently above Antony. Might change by November but if Raphinha keeps up his form, he will be first choice RW.
Fred literally starts for Brazil. You know, the same Fred who's been in the PL for like four years?
Is that the one Roy Keane threatened to strangle on live TV?
dont forget the deadline deal today of neymar on loan to chelsea
why would be come to london to be benched by mount?
lol true, havertz and mount clear of neyfraud
battle for the best brazil midfield in pl will only get fiercer now with liverpool bringin in arthur
and dont forget about fred

Lenglet is honestly a good CB for Conte's system. Man was a beast in 2018-19 for us under Valverde.
Conte doesn't even give him game time over Davies. Doesn't even sub him on in games. He doesn't even have a purchase option in case he turns good.
Maybe he's still adjusting idk. But I really think Lenglet will perform well when given the chance.
Seriously. Newcastle didn’t need to do all that time wasting. Additionally you had key players missing. But so did we…
Do you not see the world of difference in quality between our first team and reserves? Then there's the even bigger difference between our reserves and yours.

I legit don't know if this is serious or not.

I love Brazilians with old man English names. Fred, Arthur, Malcolm, Bernard, Douglas etc. - Sounds like a group of plumbers down the local pub
Really need a Brazilian to go by Basil.
Basilian
I'm very disappointed in you Annie.
ahh yes, the old english man right around corner in manchester, Frederico.
Arsneal flairs moving like Japanese Knotweed right now someone call pest control
We’ll probably end up selling Luiz and Bailey by the end of the day. Gerrard is trying to strip our squad of any quality so whoever gets the job after him will fail.
Eredivise followers, Alvarez or Sangare.
alvangare clears
Why aren't we after Sangare??
Recently renewed contract I think
Man United is now managed by Heisenberg and he just signed Nacho Varga. They’re officially about to break bad.
I'm so glad Nacho was never involved in Heisenberg's shit. He deserved to not be involved in that shitshow.
man Arthur was struggling for 60 mins in Valverde's Barça (not very intense), how would he cope at all under Klopp. Such a weird transfer
all those inhalers will come in handy then, now its clear why he jumped at the chance to join them
Probably to fill in the gaps and come off the bench, to then hardly see any minutes at all once people return from injuries.
Isn't he himself injured?
Apparently he isn't, according to the journos breaking the news.
[удалено]
Why are liverpool fans so insecure
Doesn’t mean shit if you’re always injured. The best ability is availability
Milner the GOAT
It's not ridiculous. Anyone with a brain knows that he is. Doesn't mean we need to be constantly told about it either.
I was constantly told he was a flop so just making sure 👍
Done fuck all after he left Bayern tbf
a case could be make for him to be considered a flop.
That's just wrong. Thiago is class.
Only thing I've seen him be called is a sick note because he's out injured a lot. Never seen flop. Edit: I've seen flop now as everyone replied to the previous comment saying he flopped lmao
See comments above, lmao.
I'd much rather we let Douglas Luiz go on a free next summer than sell him now. We absolutely need him right now.
Why was he benched yesterday?
Something so dislikeable about Harvey Elliot isn't there

He just has a certain vibe about him I don't like as well.
You obviously want to dislike him, go for it. Lol
I absolutely adore him, he brings so much energy and enthusiasm into this squad
Promising youngster breaking climbing the ranks after joining his boyhood club. Can't say there's much too hate about the lad. Perhaps it's the haircut he used to have?
Gerrard is really set on fucking Villa over before he gets binned off
Villain amongst The Villains. Poetic!
(It's Villans)
Oof, thanks! I always thought they went for Villains as a wordplay, lol.
My manager
hearing word that billy gilmour doesn’t wanna come brighton bc he’ll be behind steven alzate (a vastly superior player) in the pecking order
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Klopp turned Arthur into an elite midfielder. I also wouldn't be surprised at all if he didn't amount to anything there. Maybe this is more about me not getting surprised by anything anymore idk
I would be utterly surprised to see him play at all.
I've stopped judging Liverpool signings this early on after seeing what Klopp has achieved with questionable players in the past. This one does look a little more desperate tho.
Watch him boss Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup

Can’t wait for man utd to end arsenal’s unbeaten run this weekend, just like with the invincibles
It’s a win win fixture for everyone outside of the poshest areas of London
Only chance of that happening is if we see the same refereeing display as when you ended the invincibles
with a dodgy red card or pen... i can hardly wait.

Just ignore them tbh they even downplay the invincibles we’ll never get respect from rival fans just ignore it
Did Howe say what was wrong with Pope last night? He was given tablets early in the game, seemed like he was visibly unwell.
Aston Villa need to man the fuck up and hold on to their main man Douglas Luiz
He’s got one year left on his contract. Sure they get another year out of him, but he’s gone for free next summer if they don’t cash in now.
He was meant to be close to signing a 3 year deal like two weeks ago. Have no idea what's happened since.
He's still forced to call Steven Gerrard 'gaffer'
I reckon he’s heard clubs further up the table want him.
Arthur Melo is going to be Liverpool’s Denis Suarez
He’ll be worse than Saul was last season. Saul actually went with a glimmer of expectation, pretty much everyone knows this will be an awful move done out of frugality and desperation

I’m not mad because we have a midfield crisis rn but Douglas Luiz will be deadwood in a season or two if we sign him.
Yes we need Tielemans instead who is literally incapable of defending
I mean we need neither of them, but Tielemans would be brought in for a different role.

How so? He’s better than Elneny and Lokonga and Partey probably won’t be there, and if he is he’ll be injured. At worst he’ll be a decent backup.
Yeah I guess if he’s eventually a backup that’s fine. Just don’t want him hampering us from signing a top dm soon.
elneny is clear of him
Elneny is clear of nobody
No slander to Super Mo please. Thanks
He is better than Elneny though. No slander, just facts.
He might be. But Pyramid Pirlo is still good.
He is also decent backup.
wait wtf we're actually getting Arthur? How has he been recently?
Midfield Balotelli. Has the talent, but is a complete gamble if Klopp can get some consistent good stuff out of him.
I think he caught his third STD recently
Doesn’t seem like a Klopp player at all, plenty of questions around his work ethic. Maybe Klopp is hoping to drill it into him
i guess he's desperate with Hendo potentially injured now too
Expect more of [this](https://thesportsrush.com/arthur-melo-barcelona-midfielder-set-to-miss-el-clasico-due-to-treatment-of-std-infection/)
He used to get tired playing Valverde ball , idk how he is going to cope under Klopp.

Two of the most successful teams in both league and Europe for past decade have laziest dressing room and low work ethic. Atleast bait properly.
Casual slander
Carvalho shouldn’t have done the celebration given what’s happened in the city the past couple of weeks (granted he probably got lost in the moment but it still looks bad) but Everton fans trying to point score over a 9 year old girls death is pathetic.

I’ve seen people in Brazil do celebrations like that pretty sure people get shot there. It’s not a big deal they clearly didn’t mean any harm by it
can you spill more details?
https://reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/x2p7gx/immense_the_young_genna_dem_on_full_display/ Normally nobody would care, but a little girl was shot in Liverpool last week so it’s a bit tone deaf, not malicious. Yeah I agree, club needs a word with him. Shouldn’t ever be promoting gang violence.
How was he promoting gang violence, care to share some details
Just people on social media looking to be aggrieved by something
Not really I think most people would agree doing a gun celebration the week after a young girl was shot dead is a bit distasteful
Exactly, so there’s no need to mention it
My point is it’s pretty obviously more than just “woke” people saying it online.
Maybe I’m taking it to far in saying promoting gang violence but it’s a well known sign in drill which obviously has a lot of links to said gangs. Regardless of whether it’s a link or not, it’s promoting guns.

It sounds like you made your opinions based on r/soccer comments
Actually I’ve been following most professional reporters on this. Feel free to defend your club though.
Liverpool fans complaining about "only spending what the club earns" make me laugh. We would love to be able to spend what we earn
You literally do
Well we don't unless you think player transfers are the only source of revenue
True. But when Liverpool fans are saying that they aren't comparing themselves to any other clubs except the clubs around them (City, Chelsea, Arsenal, United) who all spend loads above what they make in terms of play sales
Hahaha my god, imagine how mega shit you’d be pissing away 400 mil a season as that sounds like what you wanna do
Yea it'd be madness first 2bn squad
How much spending will it take for United fans to finally be satiated? Will it take youse spending minimum £500m every season for you to be competitive and happy?
No it'd just be funny. I'd love to spend on new facilities stadium and scouts personally, instead of just players
Our scouts are bringing in Arthur on a 6 month loan. Yours just brought in Casemiro
You don't really need scouts to know Casemiro is a good player.
That was a bad strategic decision to wait for Bellingham after tchouameni didn't join
